Part One

 After taking the Digital Media Literacy quiz what I
found is that I have a solid foundation on what digital
media literacy is and its uses, my problem is
implementation. Because of lack of resources I have been
unable to use a lot of these strategies inside of my
  classroom.
 My professors on the other hand have implemented
some of these tools, and I enjoyed the practice I have had
  with these tools.
 I look forward to implementing these tools in my
classroom ,I am interested in seeing how useful these
tools are for my students with special needs.
Part 2- Lesson Plan 1

 The first lesson I created is a 3rd grade Science lesson on
  global warming.
 Students will investigate global warming, and how it
impacts them and the people in their area.
 Groups of 4 will create a multimedia project. They will
be able to create a television news program, a
commercial recorded on Video Dvd or iMovie, an Oral
report with visuals(i.e. original artwork, digital images
etc.), or students may create an online book with student
created words and pictures using a program such as
  Zooburst.
Part 2- Lesson Plan 2

 I can’t take credit for this lesson idea, I actually got the
idea from a teacher in Chicago ,Nawal Qarooni.
 This is an Oral History project for 6-8th graders.
 It addresses the NET S-Standards of creativity and
  innovation, Communication and collaboration, Research
and Information Fluency. It meets curriculum standards
in Social Studies and English –Language Arts.
 Lesson Overview- Students will learn how to ask
pertinent questions by creating an oral history. They will
formulate questions and interview relatives using a
camera and create a video as a finished product.
Part 2 –Lesson 3

 The last lesson is a 5th grade Language Arts lesson.

 The goal is for students to research and discuss
figurative language and other literary devices.

 In groups of two students need to answer the
  question what is figurative language?

 Students will then create a graphic organizer that
records the figurative language they found and a
  multimedia demonstration about their favorite
figurative language device and its meaning.
