1. How did you attract/address
your audience?

2.
3. I believe one of the most important features about my
music magazine was how I attracted and addressed my
audience. I thought that it was important to create a
unique selling point with my magazine, that will attract the
audience. The USP is the model, by using a model that had
a cool style and look to him gave a good chance of
attracting a lot of female audience as well as male who
aspire to be like him.
4. Also, by using a model that is in my target social
group range of my audience, I believe choosing this
model was more effective than choosing a model
with a different age. I believe that because the model
is in the age range it will drastically improve my
chances of selling my magazine as this will attract the
audience way more due to the magazine and model
being relatable.
5. I believe that my front cover plays an essential part in
attracting the audience. The masthead on my front
cover is big and bright, and contrasts the background
colour, this is the sort of masthead that professional
magazines such as VIBE and Complex use to attract
their audiences. The bright colour I used for the
masthead would be the main thing that would catch
the readers eye, by having a light blue background as
well the yellow masthead stands out and is more
visible.
6. On the front cover, I have included stories about
famous and relevant music icons, so when the
audience picks up my magazine they can instantly see
what my magazines about and some of the things
that are inside within the magazine. By using famous
music icons that are up to date with what my target
audience are looking for and listening too, it will
attract the audience to the magazine a lot more, with
names like Kendrick Lamar and A$ap Rocky, this will
certainly satisfy my audiences needs as this is what
they want in a music magazine.
7. With research into what audiences like too see in a
music magazine, I found that the main thing is the
model looking into the camera, with this research I
decided to do the same with mine and got my model
to look down the camera, I feel this creates a link and
relationship between the audience and the magazine
and will attract them a lot more.
8. With the price I decided to set it at a moderately
expensive price of £2.00, the reason I made it
moderately expensive is because I’m selling it on a
weekly basis and I want it to be competitive with
other well known competitors magazines that are
around the same price. With this price, I hope to grab
my audiences attention and persuade them to think
that my magazine is high quality and falls into their
category.
