3. Bees: There are 20,000 know species of bee in the world. Bees feed on nectar and
pollen from the plants, and as they pass from flower to flower, they pollinate the
plants. It is estimated that one third of human food is dependent on on insect
pollination, most of which is done by bees. The smallest species of bee is 1.5 mm
long, the longest is 39 mm long. Some bees produce honey and are kept by
beekeepers (apiculturist). In recent years there has been dramatic decline in the
number of honey bees and it has been estimated that we are losing 20 percent of
our honey bees every winter.

second is in the past this are passive tense
RULES:
1. We form the passive with a form of the verb be and the past participle.
2. We use the preposition by to say who or what does the action, but only if this
is important.

Can you think of any environmental problems which might be caused?
Answer this questions in pair.
Do not confuse make and o just because you have one verb as an equivalent.
*Make is use to talk about buildings, constructing, producing, etc.
Example:
We make yoghurt at home.
I’ve made you a drink.
*Do is use to describe an action without saying exactly what the action is.
Example:
We did some things around the house at the weekend.
*Do is use to talk about work or jobs:
Example:
I didn’t do any work today.

5. Present Perfect Passive:
Rules
1. We form the present perfect passive with the present perfect form of the
verb be + the past participle.
Example
I have been sent here by the local camping committee.
Future Passive:
Rules
1. We form the future passive with will or won’t + be + the past participle.
Example
Huge play areas will be lost forever.
Homework check the story about Nick and Amy the story is on you DVD from
your book and answer the lection .
