Energy exists in many forms such as mechanical, chemical, electrical, thermal, light, and nuclear. Mechanical energy can be kinetic, involving movement, or potential. Chemical energy is stored in substances while electrical and thermal energy involve electricity and heat respectively. Energy can be transformed from one type to another but is never destroyed. Energy sources can also be renewable, coming from natural resources like hydroelectric, wind, solar or biofuels, or non-renewable which comes from limited resources like petroleum, coal, natural gas or uranium.
