This document discusses the three main types of web authoring: protocols, design conventions, and software. It provides definitions and examples of each type. Protocols refer to the rules that govern data exchange over the internet, such as URLS. Design conventions are the stylistic rules for websites, including things like color schemes, fonts, and image placement. Software refers to the programs used to code and build websites, such as HTML editors, visual editors, and content management systems. The document provides examples and explanations of various protocols, conventions, and software to illustrate the different aspects of web authoring.

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:

Unit 11 web authoring
1. In this report I will be discussing the three types of web authoring which are:
1. Protocols
2. Design Conventions
3. Software
2. HTML pages, images, JavaScript or Flash are used on the World-Wide Web.
The three different aspects of web authoring are: protocols, design conventions and software.
The definition of protocol in web authoring is another work for rule. When we discuss about the web
authorising protocols we are talking about the policy which rules the exchange of data and information
over the internet. There are several protocols we need to understand. The last section of a URL They
include the type of website or its location. The Internet relies on a number of protocols in order to
function properly. A protocol is simply a standard for enabling the connection, communication, and data
transfer between two places on a network.
3. URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. A URL is a formatted text string used by Web
browsers, email clients and other software to identify a network resource on the Internet.
4. Domain names are used to identify one or more IP addresses. For example, the domain name
microsoft.com represents about a dozen IP addresses. Domain names are used in URLs to
identify particular Web pages
A service provider that offers shared hosting or dedicated hosting of a service or services to
customers. Hosting services are most often used for hosting Web sites but can also be used for
hosting files, images, games and similar content
This pictures shows the examples
of the top level domain names for
example ‘’Amazon.com’’ the
‘’.Com’’ would be the (TLDN)
5. A website is made up of many different things for example web pages . Each of these web pages can be
reached by the users through a single (URL) or with (URLs).
The reason why this is important is because by you recognising the website throughout the URLs can
and this shows that you are a able to identify the different types for example the bad web page naming
conventions and the good conventions
Examples of bad web page naming conventions:
Examples of good web page naming conventions:
6. Internet Service Provider, it refers to a company that provides Internet services, including personal and
business access to the Internet. For a monthly fee, the service provider usually provides a software
package, username, password and access phone number.
7. A web hosting services is a type of internet hosting service, what this allows you to do is organize the
website so later it would be visible to the world wide web (WWW).
Web hosts can also offer space and connection to the internet also called colocation.
8. Designing a website takes a great deal of planning and a lot of factors need to be considered. Today we
will look at the main conventions, or rules of a website.
9. A colour scheme is an arrangements or a pattern of colours or a coloured objects and converting
and forming an included whole for example the colour scheme of a dining room or a living room is a
colour scheme.
10. Monochromatic is a different way of saying color and what I mean about it is that its all the colors, that
have tints, tones and shades.
By using the tints, tones and shades you are getting an energy that is more suitable and serene due to
the lacking of the contrast of hue .
It is important to use these colors this is because they are different types of the color for example the
purple as you can see has 9 different shades so that could be applicable to the website also the red and
any color really.
11. Analogous colours are a group of colours that are nearby to each other on the colour wheel, one of
them tends to be a primary or secondary colour and if the are side by side they have a tendency to be
more tertiary.
Thses colours could be important while you are creating or designing a website this is because they
tend to stand out more the audience and what I mean about that is that the colures tend to be much
brighter than the complimentary.
12. Complimentary colors are a set of colors that when attached in the right way they produce the colors
black and white, when they are placed next to each other they tend to have the strongest contrast. This
complimentary color is more likely to be using in art and design
On the other hand I strongly feel that this one is the most important out of all of these three color
schemes this is because they lour people in because of the colors they use for example they use yellow
and green and blue, so this could be more eye catching to the audience when creating a website
13. When designing a website it is better to use sans-serif this mean that the audience has a better
understanding of the words for example ‘’ printer name’’ would be sans-serif. When using this kind of
text people are more easily able to read, they use this kind of writing in posters and signs.
The other kind of text is called serif this is much harder to read from far range. The difference between
both texts is that one of them has no tick at the end of a sentence and the other one does.
This text should be in every website this is because it much easier to read, the way that sans serif font
help us with this is that its easier to reed from a further range than serif.
14. The rule of thirds is an important rule this is because if in one picture the statue of liberty is in the
middle people wont be focusing on the statue but by the sky.
When you move it to the left or the right where the lines meet people would recognise it a lot faster
that the previous picture. When you look at the picture on the left the eye can only focus on the clouds
because the eye immediately catches this point first, but when you look at the second picture you
attention is drawn to it allot faster because the image is lager and stands out more.
In the rule of thirds, photos are divided into thirds with two imaginary lines vertically and two lines
horizontally making three columns, three rows, and nine sections in the images. Important
compositional elements and leading lines are placed on or near the imaginary lines and where the lines
intersect.
15. An HTML editor is a computer program for creating web pages. Although the HTML mark-up of a web
page can be written with any text editor, specialized HTML editors can offer convenience and added
functionality.
A Web site development system that allows Web pages to be visually created like a desktop publishing
program. It generates the required HTML code for the pages and is able to switch back and forth (in
varying degrees) between the page layout and the HTML. At a high level, the software is judged by its
GUI tools used for designing the page. At a low level, the clarity of HTML code that is generated
determines how easily people can modify and maintain the site.
16. the programs and other operating information used by a computer.
installing new programs or applications on your computer is identical with installing new software on
your computer. Software on the computer can be virtual or not physical like a computer. software
consists of lines of code written by computer programmers that have been compiled into a computer
program.
17. These let you type the hyper-text mark-up language (HTML) code that builds websites. They are
dependent on your knowing all the code you will need to build the website you want.
The way we created the website is by using a website called;
http://htmledit.squarefree.com/ this will allow you to create your own website when your on the
website you have to delete everything after you copy two links onto the notes, when that’s done you
save it and when you are going to open it would go onto google and you have created a website. After
that you can change the colours of the background and make it nice and appealing for the audience.
18. Visual editing is a form of computer text editing, often used in programming that displays changes
immediately through a interface.
Its a type of editing commonly found in modern computer programming, including word and some of
the document creating programmes . These let you build websites visually and do much of the
programming for you. Visual editors allows you to make changes to the document that you are working
on.
19. Hypertext Mark-up Language, a standardized system for tagging text files to achieve font, colour,
graphic, and hyperlink effects on World Wide Web pages. For the heading you have the <H3 that always
goes at the beginning of the sentence and it is used for the size of a text and when it looks like this
</H3> it means you put it at the end of the sentence that you have written and if you put it to H1 it
makes the text size larger.
When it is for paragraphs this <p> this goes at the beginning of the paragraph to show that you have
started it but when its showing </P> it means that the paragraph has ended meaning the reader would
know when to stop.
This photo represents the
website that is used
throughout the process
making one of these
website.
20. In conclusion this report has looked at several different aspects of web authoring, this include the
protocols, software and the design conventions, you have to know all of these things to be able to
create a website.
“What I have learnt from this Assignment is the different types of web authoring also I have also learnt
is the different types of writing and what to use and not use.
I can use this in my own work because I already have a better understanding about the hole designing a
website and how to do the simple things.
