Priyanka Chopra Controversy
Priyanka Chopra s tank top for a magazine cover creates a storm on social media Celebrities are like
demi gods for fans. Anything they do, say, or wear is copied by their followers insanely. Being a
powerful figure and an icon for the people, they fail to realize that their act, words, or attire may drag
them into the centre of storm. Though they do so inadvertently, their conduct becomes an issue for
debate. Priyanka Chopra has become the hot topic of debate recently when she shot for a cover page
of a travel magazine, Conde Nast Traveller. Though the cover page is not obscene, the reason of her
being in the middle of the controversy is the top she is wearing which has four words out of which
Refugee, Immigrant, and Outsider, are struck off in red, whereas Traveller is intact and clear. As soon
as the magazine was out, there was a huge uproar on social media. Many Twitteratis found it
insensitive and reckoned that nobody becomes a refugee out of choice. While Priyanka has not given
any explanation on her top, the magazine spokesperson came forward and clarified that the wordings
on the top has been interpreted wrongly and their intention has not reach to the people. They gave this
statement in defense of the controversial top, At Condé Nast Traveller, we believe that the ... Show

find and celebrate our commonalities, our oneness. We must recognise that we are all on a journey.

Just Is A Poem Written By. Cummings
In Just is a poem written by e.e. cummings. It describes that spring is full of new memories and
activities. In just is about how little children go running to a balloonman. His whistles draw them
closer to him and they stop whatever they are doing to heed to his calling. He likes to play with the
spacing in between words and sentences that help the meaning of the poem and the balloonman.
Cummings uses many elements of poetry and describes the balloonman that has many theories to his
purpose in the poem. First, the balloonman appears several times in the poem In Just . He fits the
spring setting but is described with words that make him stick out. The balloonman has a much darker
purpose in the poem then what is read. On lines 3 and 4 he is described as little and lame. He is
described as lame to tell the readers that he can t walk properly he s got a limp (shmoop). On lines 11
and 12 cummings described him as old and queer. Spring is the setting and represents things that are
new, but the balloonman is old which makes him not fit the poem even more. He is also called queer
which means weird. The balloonman is getting a lot more attention than anything else in the poem
which makes it seem like he needs to be looked into more. On lines 20 and 21 the balloonMan is
described even more. He is called goat footed and the M in men is capitalized. On every line after the
balloonman appears he is described as whistling far and wee. He is called goat footed because he is

Homecoming In The Odyssey
The conflict within the Odyssey revolves around the theme of homecoming which in Greek is nostos.
In order for Odysseus to return home he must purge his household of the suitors. The slaughter that
occur near the end of the Odyssey is justified.
Many suitors had taken residence within the walls of Odysseus palace and they attempted to persuade
his wife Penelope to marry them. In the duration of their stay they depleted Odysseus wealth and
disrespected both Telemachus and Penelope during the king of Ithacas absence. Their recklessness is
paralleled in the Odyssey by Odyssues men who consume Helios cattle. Furthermore it was decreed
by Poseidon who acts of vengeance against Odysseus serve as a kind of justice for the harm he has
done to his

Analysis of the Triumph of Divine Love
The art piece that I selected for my analysis is called The Triumph of Divine Love by Peter Paul
Rubens. The artwork is an oil painting on canvas, circa 1625. This piece of art was commission by
Isabella Clara Eugenia, Infanta of Spain and Portugal. The Triumph of Divine Love was one of eleven
art pieces in a series portraying the Eucharist cycle, an important issue in the Catholic Protestant strife.
Its purpose was to aid in the Catholic Reformation and the artwork was to be displayed at the
Convento de las Descalzas Reales in Madrid. (Ringling Museum n.d.)
The scene it portrays shows a woman holding an infant while she stands on a chariot drawn by two
lions. Surrounding her in the air and around her feet are sixteen angels or ... Show more content on

There are also several doves at the bottom of the painting, presumably indicating purity and perhaps
symbols of love as well. (Wall Text 2012) The focal point of the painting is the woman with infant.
This is shown by the lighting in the painting being directly on her, the bright red that she is wearing,
and the circling of the putti around her figure along with the majority of their gazes being directed at
her. The bright light directly behind her and the infant could possibly be coming from the sun behind
the clouds in the sky, the putti to her upper right holding the torch, or it could be symbolic in that it is
the infant s halo and representative of his divine nature. The overall piece is not overly dark but the
lighting seems to be most focused on the woman, infant, her other children, and the flying putti. This
is an example of tenebrism. The flying putti are shown in a ring around the woman, some holding
hands. Some have feathered wings; others have either insect or fairy like wings. They all seem to have
individual faces and expressions and all express happiness. The putti are contorted in different
positions as they fly in the air, and Rubens uses foreshortening with the limbs to achieve this and show
movement and action in the piece, especially with the two putti directly above the woman s head and
the back of their feet showing to the viewer. He also uses chiaroscuro to give the putti volume shown
by the lighting

What Is The Significance Of The Victorian Age
Victorian age is the era of prosperity in the industrial revolution in Britain and then Europe and
America. The reason for naming the Victorian age that name is the Queen Victoria, who ruled Britain
in that period, which the longest period of rule in Britain was.(1837 1901).
In the domestic environment in that era, women were responsible to raise their children on morals and
good. But, with the industrial and technological revolution the moral degeneration spread between
people which led to the proliferation of crimes and criminals like the crime which mentioned in The

Britain has become an empire through expansion and colonization of other countries, Britain has
occupied many countries, and this led to change the culture of these countries.

Dr. Mullins Case Study
Allana saw Dr. Mullins six times during the month of March on 03/03/16, 03/07/16, 03/10/16,
03/14/16, 03/21/16 and on 03/28/16. On 03/07/16, Allana told him that her ultimate goal would be to
run longer than 20 minutes without her back buckling . She also explained to him that high intensity
workouts were her favorite. Throughout the month of March, she continued to have spasms and pain
in her upper back, lower back, and in her neck. Her ribs also continued to be very sore. Her diagnoses
on 03/21/16 was pain in the lower back, and muscle spasms in her back, neck and mid back. Her
diagnosis also included segmental and somatic dysfunction of the head, cervical, thoracic and lumbar
spine, her sacrum and sprain of her ribs. In April, she went to see Dr. Mullins on 04/04/16 and
04/18/16. By 04/18/16, she was slightly better as far as the intensity of her pain, but she still had pain
and the muscle spasms still plagued her up and down her spine. Allana was re examined on 05/02/16.

painfully clear in her records is that her spine is damaged, and her life has drastically changed. One
day she is doing slightly better, but within a day, or just a few days, she is not doing so well again.
This is so tiring for Allana. She cannot plan ahead or know if she will have a good day over any
weekend to plan something fun. If she happens to have a good day and takes advantage of it, she ends

It s Complicated By Danah Boyd
In her book, It s Complicated, Danah Boyd expresses her views on modern day social media and the
modern day teenager s reliability with it. The book is comprised of 8 enlightening categories: identity,
privacy, addiction, danger, bullying, inequality, literacy, and searching for a public of their own.
Throughout the book, Boyd provides data, true stories, and factual conversations to help support her
main claim: social media has taken over our youth.
She conducts numerous interviews with teens of all races, ages, and genders. In the passage, Boyd
describes an interview she had with an 18 year old, Skyler, who explained to her mother that If you re
not on MySpace, you don t exist, (page 5). In today s world, the new MySpace is Snapchat, Instagram,

password and signing in. Boyd also pays close attention on her writing style and what emotions are
brought out because of it. She makes sure that she talks in the first person within her novel to make the
audience feel as if they are on a personal level with the author. This immediately makes the reader feel
more comfortable as they are being fed opinions on how they are running their lives wrongly (that is if
they are addicted to social media). Due to the fact that Boyd is writing a very controversial piece for

The Literary Theory Known as Post-Colonialism
The literary theory known as Post Colonialism is easily defined in content but not in its beginning or
end. Ashcroft, Griffins, and Tiffin state that the term covers all the culture affected by the imperial
process from the moment of colonization to the present day (2). They focus on the territories
colonized by Britain in Empire Writes Back but state that the analysis can apply to the former empires
of France, Spain, and Portugal. This view falls in line with the issue brought up by Childs and
Williams about after whose empire or whose colonization does it begin? The United States in the
1700s, the Latin American states in the 1800s, or the mid 1900s fall of the British and French empires
(1)? What is agreed upon is that the focus is on writing about the effects or culture in post colonial
societies or examining colonial literature with an eye for the moral superiority, racial discrimination,
or Eurocentric viewpoint. Writers such as Rushdie, Said, and Achebe all belong to this movement with
their discussions of the life and culture of the Indian Subcontinent, Eastern culture, and Nigeria
respectively. Said, one of the eminent post colonial critics, writes in Orientalism that the concept of
the Orient and Oriental culture are Western colonial constructs. Orient describes everything cultural or
social in Asia lumping the Arab culture of the Middle East, the Buddhist culture of Southeast Asia, and
the ancient cultures of China and Japan as parts of a single entity. Said

The Role Of Internal And External Influences On Students...
While selecting the sample for the interviews, there were two major sets of decisions that had to be
made at the outset: (1) deciding on who to interview, and (2) what questions to ask. In regards to
selecting the sample, since this question was set out in order to see the connection of internal and
external influences in students making decisions in university, it only seemed appropriate that the
interview sample consisted of university students. As such, university students were considered the
units of analysis for this study. Five students were selected using the purposive sampling technique
known as criterion sampling. Criterion sampling was used because in order to be eligible for the
interview, the participants had to meet the certain criteria of: having to be either a university student,
or a former university student (within three years of graduation), and had to have been enrolled in
university for at least three terms. These requirements were set in order to establish an optimal
sampling frame for the interviews. Using a non probabilistic sampling technique allows the researcher
to make subjective judgements that would aid in their endeavors in proving their hypothesis. Rather
than using random selection found in probabilistic sampling, non probabilistic sampling allows for the
research objectives to be best fulfilled by a strategically chosen sample (Palys Atchison, 2014, p. 424).
Keeping the requirements in mind, the participants in the sample were chosen

Shakespeare s Sonnet 12 ( 1609 ) And George Herbert s...
This essay will address the theme of death in Shakespeare s Sonnet 12 (1609) and George Herbert s
poem Virtue (1633). Both Shakespeare and Herbert explore notions of death in their poems, in terms
of the tension between the psychical and the spiritual in a religious context. However, where they
differ is that Shakespeare places emphasis on the importance of the corporeal, and of what is left
behind on earth after death. In contrast, Herbert focuses on the impermanence of the physical, instead
advocating a focus on the eternal life of the soul in heaven.
In the late 16th and early 17th century, London was ravaged by the Black Death, causing many people
to ruminate on death and their mortality. Shakespeare was arguably affected also, indeed death as a
concept is a reoccurring theme within Shakespeare s work; prevalent through sonnets, tragedies and
medieval morality plays through the character of Death (Courtney, 1995). Shakespeare s Sonnet 12
explores the physicality of death, by describing the physicality and impermanence of the natural
world. In the first eight lines this is achieved in a traditional blazon format, perhaps to emphasise the
physicality of earthly life. The speaker ruminates on the temporality of life through the image of death
and decay and concludes that the only way in which to ensure immortality is through procreation and
continuation of the family line, so that he may not be forgotten after death.
In the opening line, the speaker meditates on

Enoxaparin is a highly acidic mucopolysaccharide. It is an anticoagulant drug that is used primarily
for prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or for patients that exhibit pulmonary embolism (PE)
that have underwent specific surgery. Enoxaparin functions as a serine type endopeptidase inhibitor
and targets antithrombin III. It binds to it and creates a vertex that irreversibly inactivates clotting
factor Xa. Enoxaparin binding to antithrombin III also accelerates the activity of antithrombin III
which is a serine protease inhibitor that modulates the activation of blood coagulation. Enoxaparin
inhibits the production of prothrombin to thrombin. Antithrombin III inhibits thrombin, factors Xa,
IXa, and XIa, as well as matripatase 3/TMPRSS7. With the presence of enoxaparin its inhibitory
activity is increased greatly. With the Xa being catalyzed by the attachment of enoxaparin, the
translation of prothrombin to thrombin is decreased.

Non-Pathological Anxiety
Non Pathological Anxiety or Normal Anxiety is something that everyone experience at some points of
their lives. The situations we face, the people around us etc. are some of the factors that cause anxiety
in us. It is our body s normal reaction to the stress that we experience on a daily basis. It is, in fact,
essential to be anxious at certain times, as it helps us stay cautious in situations that can be potentially
dangerous.
One of the most common situations where we face anxiety is when our abilities are tested. Let it be
examinations, competitions, sports or interviews, our desire to succeed or prove ourselves often make
us anxious, and this anxiety often influences our performance in that event or situation. Also, this

Most of our decisions and actions are often influenced by this particular factor. One s innate need to fit
in with or oppose the societal norms often causes anxiety within him or her. A study conducted on 76
female Chinese undergraduate students, confirmed this, as high levels of anxiety and mind wandering
was observed in them when they were put under a stereotype threat of men being better than women
in mathematics (Feng, Hong, Lu, Tian, Yu and Zheng, 2015). This shows how social norms influence
one s thoughts and actions. Further supporting the fact that people around us influence our thoughts
and emotions, a comparisonal study conducted between deaf students and students with normal
hearing showed how deaf children showed less peer attachment and thereby less social anxiety than
the children with normal hearing (Feng, Hong, Lu, Tian, Yu and Yu, 2015). This was due to the fact
that the deaf children were often overprotected by their parents, and therefore had restricted social
interactions (Li and Prevatt, 2010). In another study, it was found that this system works both ways i.e.
a person s anxiety levels affects his or her identity development too. It was found that adolescents with
higher anxiety levels had issues more issues with identity formation related tasks. Also, such
adolescents had more difficulties in forming commitments (Crocetti, Hale, Keijsers, Klimstra and

utilize my personal experiences from when I entered Bowdoin as a first year and I will attempt to

Why the Boudica Fought the Romans Essay
Why the Boudica Fought the Romans
The History of the Celtic People
The Iceni were a Celtic tribe which resided in Norfolk and Suffolk in the east of Britain. Boadicea was
part of this noble and warlike people, the Keltoi or in Latin, Celtae.
The Celts of the first century appear to be farmers, traders and crafts people. Frank Delaney 1989
quotes from Strabo writing in the first century saying They wear ornaments of gold, torcs on their
necks and bracelets on their arms and wrists, while people of high rank wear dyed garments
besprinkled with gold. He also quotes from Diodurus Siculus also first century who writes They

Ritualistic in their worship, imaginative in their art, they competed in physical contests and
intellectual gaming; they were economically successful, enterprising and proud.
Due to flourishing trade across the English Channel with the Roman empire, their merchants and
rulers prospered, issuing their own coinage between about 65 BC and AD 61.
Fig.1 shows Iceni silver coin from hoard, AD 61. During the revolt there were large issues of Iceni
silver coins, some eventually buried in caches containing hundreds of examples. This silver unit from
AD 61 shows a stylised Iceni Warrior, wearing a feathered headdress.
Near the end of this period, following the Roman invasion of Britain under Claudius in AD 43, king
Prasutagus (AD 50 60) became a rich and powerful client of the Romans. After his death, however, the
Roman administrators in Britain made the Iceni a subject population. The Roman emperor Nero s
representative Decanius Catus moved with incredible haste to do an inventory of the property of the
Iceni and their late king. Prasutagus had left a will in which he left half of the property to the emperor,
and the other half to his two daughters. The Romans declared the will invalid, and carried out the
inventory.
Prasutagus wife was Boudicca. She was described as being a large woman, with flaming red hair.

Audit Controls Paper
1) The importance of access controls in addition to audit controls.
In addition to audit controls, access controls are important because they help reduce the risk of internal
data breaches by preventing unauthorized work staff to have access to ePHI. Only individuals with a
need to know should have access to ePHI (Brodnik, Finehart Thompson, Reynolds, 2012, p. 304).
Additionally, Brodnik et al., (2012), states that access controls are used to aid in the authentication,

The Earth And The Stars
Throughout the history of the human species people have looked up at the stars and wondered. Each
individual culture, past and present, has stories and myths concerning the various features of the night
sky and the constantly moving celestial objects which reside there. There are creation stories which try
to explain where the Earth and the numerous stars came from. There are other stories whcih take on a
less grand task and only try to explain a single celestial object. Some believe that the stars and the
Earth are intertwined and the motions or strange appearances of objects directly relate to what is
happening on the Earth.
There are also beliefs that the stars and night sky are the Heavens viewable from Earth, where
everything must be perfect. If things were not perfect in the Heavens, such as a new star appearing in
the sky due to a supernova occurring light years away, some cultures would take this as a bad omen. In
ancient China for example, the Emperor was responsible for what happened on Earth as well as what
happened in the Heavens, so if a new star appeared unannounced then a competing group vying for
control could use that change to try to alter the existing balance of power. In other places such as
medieval Europe even suggesting the Heavens were not perfect could land someone under arrested

his first police report and is not doing a good job. His officer was disappointed at what he had read in
his report; he s going to show the rookie how it s done. The officer s report was not only 50% longer,
but full of jargon. The rookie cop stated, Why do we write like that? Because that s the way we ve
always done it, replied the officer. After years of being a cop and writing real police reports, Rutledge

1 and spit on Victim No. 2. So the question to the puzzle is who s who; now you re going back to the
first page of the report to find out. Another problem is placing a label in front of a name; only adding
unnecessary wording and needless work. For example, there s no need to say Suspect Lynn told
Victim Cole to, shut up or I ll punch you again. State, Lynn told Cole to... Once you ve documented
who participated and to who did what, refrain from using labels. This will make the readers and your
job easier; document all the important facts. Rutledge suggests, Don t use labels if you can avoid it.
WHODUNIT?
If someone reading your police report has to play a guessing game as to who did what; then an
important piece is missing from your report. When the trial date approaches, are you really going to
remember who collected what, who searched what if you don t put a name in front of the action done.
For example, by stating Officer Killinger saw cocaine in plain view on the floor of the car; instead of
saying the The Assigned Officer saw cocaine...., you know Officer Killinger found the cocaine in the
car. Then the attorneys know who to subpoena to the fact that cocaine was found in the car. Sketches
at scenes are common and are useful as to who and where certain evidence was found; sketches can
paint a picture not only for jurors and judges, but it will also be beneficial for you and your colleagues

Lab Report On Corpus Christi
Several species and organisms rely on water to survive. Some organisms use it as a source to drink
and others uses water as their living environment. This experiment is to calculate many aspects of the
water that surrounds Corpus Christi. Water is the key to life on Earth and thus why water is so
important. According to the Lab Report water quality is the quality of water and if it is considered
acceptable drinking water. Water quality consist of its chemical, physical and biological
characteristics. These properties can be studied through pH testing, nitrogen testing, Phosphorous
testing and many other useful ways. Water quality is important because it allows scientist to identify if
the water is in a good condition to drink or sustain life overall and it dramatically effects how healthy
it is. The objective of this lab was to experiment if the water quality around the Corpus Christi is a
reliable source of water for organisms and to reach an understanding of the water quality of the water
surrounding Corpus Christi.
STUDY AREA
The location of the water sampling was in three different areas known as the Ward Island, Oso Bride,
and Packery Channel. For the Ward Island and the Packery Channel were both well cleaned and little
to no trash in the property. As for the Oso bridge the location was surrounded with unwanted trash.
Shown in figure 1 is a variety of trash that interrupts the growth of organisms in the location
throughout Oso bridge. The Oso bridge had several small like rocks throughout the location, while the
Ward Island consisted of sand, and the Packery Channel had a variation of mud and sand. The weather
was fairly similar in all locations especially the Packery Channel and the Oso bridge because the
experiments were conducted on the same day. The weather for all consisted with an average of 80
degrees. For all three experiments the wind was blowing somewhat fast at a speed of 15 17 miles per
hour.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
For this experiment, there is several materials needed to have a successful lab experiment. This
includes the basic utensils such as the datasheets, pencil, and a notepad to add additional notes.

listen to the priest s sermon that gives answers to the question what would Jesus do? every time. When
one thinks of these two schools of thought, the core contradictions between them seem obvious. The
Catholic Church is against birth control, the right to abortion, divorce, and does not allow women to

Catholicism s attack on women s healthcare has the greatest effect on poor women who do not have
the means to pay out of pocket for private insurance and doctors. It is essential to be mindful of how
our actions have ramifications beyond ourselves and are shaped by our privilege. Our actions have
consequences. As a woman of privilege in relation to other women in this world, my actions will
naturally have the tendency to support systems of oppression that intersect with feminism and hurt
women of color, poor women, and transgender women. I have the responsibility as a feminist to have
the self awareness of the effects of my privilege and the effects of my actions, and use my privilege to
help other women, not hurt them. I have the duty to work toward the collective liberation of all
women, and that starts with not participating in their oppression. Therefore, while I have decided to re
include Catholicism in my identity, I cannot ethically participate in the Church as a feminist. I may
call myself a Catholic feminist, but I choose not to donate money to the Church or participate in the
Church s social activism. My actions matter just as much as my beliefs, and even though I am not
personally very effected by the Church s anti feminist activism, I choose not to participate in a system

White Australian Policy 1901
Immigration Restriction Act of 1901 was an Act of the parliament of Australia and was formed on the
basis of the White Australian Policy, it main aim was to limit immigration to Australia of all non white
Europeans from Australia. Propaganda campaigns in Britain leaded to the largely popular immigration
of British people seeking a new lifestyle the Australian Government was quick to condemn them with
racial campaigns against the Chinese. Many state that the White Australian policy was to keep
Australia s economic statues alive and to maintaining living standards and that it was not intended to
be racist towards the Chinese.

By the 1960s, the focus on assimilation was replaced by a focus on integration , and then on to

Implementing A New Business At Abc Medical Center
Creating a new business is challenging, expanding an already established facility can be even more
daunting. To ensure a successful venture requires the right set of marketing skills. Marketing is
execution of the conception, pricing, promotion, and distribution of goods, ideas, and services
(Berkowitz, 2006, p.4). In health care facilities this means developing a product or service to address
health issues; establishing a price individuals and insurance companies are willing to pay; knowing
what place is convenient for both the patient and the provider to give and receive treatment. Lastly,
promotion of the product or service to ensure patients know what is available to address the health
needs of the general public. These four ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This can be accomplished through strategic marketing skills. Strengths for this practice include
orthopedic surgeons who are dedicated to their field, have the ability to offer diagnostics, surgery,
follow up physical therapy in one location, and deliver exceptional patient care. Whereas weaknesses
include being a new orthopedic practice in a highly saturated area with a less generous marketing fund
than competitors. Potential customers include individuals with orthopedic needs, more specifically,
those requiring hip and knee replacements, however other orthopedic patient cases can be evaluated
for treatment. Satisfaction and repeat business can be achieved from the proper level of marketing.
The current market is strong and has the potential of building a new and continued customer base,
however, there are several other competing facilities with much larger marketing budgets that may be
able to reach more customers on a broader base. Product, according to Eric Berkowitz (2011), is
goods, services, or ideas offered by a health care facility. This is the first area to address in marketing.
Products available with in ABC Medical Center are both tangible and intangible. Because the
intangible products are harder to evaluate, marketing has to show the tangible benefits from their use
(Berkowitz, 2011, p. 214). The products that ABC Medical Center has to offer is the availability of
diagnostic screening, orthopedic surgery, and physical therapy for its patients. The

Describe The Living Condition In Eva s
The living conditions on the camp were previously unseen to the world. The Jews were forced to live
in such extreme conditions they died from sickness, lack of food, or exhaustion. They wernt fed
enough and had to sleep in bunks containing many people per bed. Eva outlines the bed bug problem
in the following quote. She stated, They were sickening bloodsuckers that feasted off our bodies.
There were so many that we would have been covered with them had we not scraped them off
immediately. Even so, our skins were pitted with bites and boils from their attacks. The way we had to
live was disgusting. This example of how they had to sleep was consistent across all bracks. The bed

circumstances. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

they would complain, and it also mitigated the risk of a revolt. For these reasons if someone ever got a

perform manual labor or tough it out to the extreme. When Eva s feet became so severe that there was
no other options she finally folded and went to the hospital, partially because she wanted to see her
mother. The medical facilities were less than abysmal. They we downright sickening. People were
packed into them like cattle being herded by their owner. Forced to sleep in bunks 3 high, 2 people per

Contract Law and Music Copyright Essay
COURSEWORK FOR CONTRACT LAW (MUSIC*) *On what basis does the inclusion of samples
of a recording made by *Pink Floyd constitute an infringement of copyright? In civil law regarding
copyright, there are two types of infringement; primary and secondary. Primary is concerned with the
unauthorised use of copyrighted works and secondary would involve the dealing or making
commercial use of such infringing copies. In the music industry, an infringement of copyright often
consists of an existing piece of music being used by an artist without permission from the person or
company who own the rights to the original music or recorded sound. This is exactly what has
happened with Alexei Duff. He has used two samples from two Pink Floyd tracks ... Show more

Alexie Duff could argue that the sample does not play a substantial part in the piece however he still
sampled a sound recording without acquiring permission from the copyright owners. If legal action
was to be carried out and the judge decided against Alexie Duff, overall it would stand that the
samples used were taken from original sound recordings by Pink Floyd so therefore an infringement
of the sound recording copyright would have occurred. If Alexie Duff was to re create the drum beat
rather than use the existing recorded sound then this would still be sampling though it would only be
an infringement of the musical copyright. In spite of this, Pink Floyd s record label may have less of a
case in court as the sample was so short. However this is not the case. An example of where a record
company has decided to take legal action against an artist for the use of sampling is the case of
Hyperion Records Limited v. Warner Music (UK) Limited. A band called The Beloved used an eight
second sample of a song called O Euchari . The sound was recorded by a singer named Emily Van
Evera. Hyperion Records owned the rights to the sound recording and decided to sue. At the
preliminary hearing, the judge decided that that the eight seconds of sampled music constituted as a
substantial part. In the end, an out of court agreement was made between the two parties. Another
example would be the case of

to the experiment. One thing that the team had knowledge on was on the structure, and function of the
heart. The heart is an organ that pumps blood throughout the body. The body relies on the heart
because the heart has to pump blood to the body. The heart receives blood from the body, which it
then sends to the lungs. The lungs give oxygen to the blood. That blood then goes back to the heart,
where the heart pumps it back to the body. The body needs oxygen because it needs oxygen for
energy, which is why the heart is very important for the body. Without the heart, there is no blood that
travels through the body, which finally means no oxygen.
To reach the body, the oxygen filled blood has to travel through the arteries. The arteries are

Shakespeare s Use Of Imagery In Sonnet 116, By William...
Imagery is used in almost all literary works. Authors use imagery to keep readers or listeners
interested in the story. This is a very common way of writing and is found a lot in poetry. It is an easy
way to have the reader feel more involved in the story. Imagery is used through similes and metaphors
in the works of Shakespeare, Shakespeare, and Spenser.
A lot of William Shakespeare s imagery was used to describe love and how the affected the different
relationships. In Sonnet 106, Then in blazon of sweet beauty s best of hand, of foot, of lip, of brow, I
see their antique pen would have express d even such a beauty as you master now. (Shakespeare 275).
In this quote, Shakespeare goes into detail about how this one particular girl has an unique beauty. Ha
also explains how he has never seen such a beauty like hers. Shakespeare also says in Sonnet 116, Let
me not to the marriage of true minds admit impediments. Love is not love which alters when it
alteration finds, bends with the remover to remove. (Shakespeare 276). The first sentence of the quote
is basically explaining that not all marriages of relationships come easy, they all have obstacles. The
second of the quote is explaining that love doesn t changed when something in the relationship
changes, it will stay the say no matter what. Shakespeare is known for imagery in terms of explaining
love and relationships, it is very well represented in a lot of his sonnets.
Edmund Spenser is also known for using imagery to

After his three year apprenticeship, Keats became a medical student at Guy s hospital. With his study
taking over, he was losing time to write. He had always had a passion for literature, so he made up his
mind to increase the time spent on poetry, and his first poem was published in 1814. Although he
received his Apothecary licence in 1816, he decided to follow the path of his inspiration, Lord Byron,
and become a poet. Five months before his first book, Poems , was published, Keats was introduced to
one of Byron and Shelley s friends, Hunt, who helped him advance in his writing. His first book was
not received to well by the public, neither was the rest of his work. In his lifetime, Keats work copped
more hate than any other poet of his time. But by the end of the 19th century he was one of the most
beloved poets studied. Actually Meg, on his gravestone Keats wanted to write Here lies one whose
name was writ in water. He knew he wasn t appreciated in his time, and he would be washed away by
those who read his name, yet he prophesised he would be appreciated in the years that followed.
Keats met the love of his life who did love him for many years after his death, Fanny Brawne, in 1818.
They started off as close friends, but their friendship soon became intimate and all of Keats time and
energy was put into her. The majority of his poems reflected his love for her,

Texas Constitution Vs. U.s. Constitution
Texas is considered a very diverse and unique state in many different aspects. It is the second largest
state with more than twenty six million people residing. People all over the state live in a variety of
environments, cities, suburbs, rural areas, you name it. Of course though, like in everything else, there
are always both positive and negative things. However, despite the fact that Texas have very high
poverty rates and it has the second highest income inequality, Texas is a very interesting state and it
has a lot of things that are worth learning about. I learned some things about Texas politics that I
thought were very interesting. These topics include the State Constitution and the legislature. The
Texas Constitution and the U.S. Constitution is very similar to each other in terms of structure. Both
documents provide framework, and the amendments come from the will of the people. The Texas
Constitution was written to govern the the individual state alone so it should be more specific and less
flexible to change. On the other hand, the U.S Constitution is more flexible than the Texas
Constitution because of the fact that it was designed to be governing a total of fifty states with each
individual states differing from others in values, beliefs, attitudes, behaviors, and the states consist of
individuals who have similar values. Today, we are still operating under the 1876 Constitution with
four hundred ninety one amendments, which includes a preamble and seventeen

Letters Of Abelard And Heloise Essay
To begin, the Letters of Abelard and Heloise were originally formulated by the mind of Abelard,
sometime around the year 1128 in Latin (not to published until around 1616 in Paris then re appearing
in England in 1728. From there, being multiply translated and reformatted until it was officially
published in 1722.) It is a re telling of the story of his love affair at 37 as a highly educated and
revered Professor at Logic and Canon Notre Dame; having lived an intellectual and passion derived
life before and with the young mistress Heloise who was quite possibly the last student of his to be
educated to a higher level he discovers a side he has never known to himself, only felt.

The source ( The Letters of Abelard and Heloise ) was created as a series of love letters or
explanations to Heloise and a friend of Abelard. In a letter to his friend, Abelard says: The true story
of these episodes I now want you to know from the facts, in proper order, instead of from hearsay.
What he means is that he would like the truth of his miss fortune that he caused to be heard from
Abelard himself first instead of from hearsay (or other people.)
Equally important, the usefulness of this source for a historian trying to learn about a particular subject
is an adequate amount. The historian would get the feel for the people, the time, and the context of
some morals from this piece and hopefully get a better understanding of what it would have been like
to live then and of that time. You must keep in mind though that this particular piece was created quite
some time ago and is largely dated. Having been passed through multiple generations, people,
lifestyles and translators the story itself could have been modified or manipulated in some way that
may make it complicated to determine what can actually be useful in relating to certain tangible

Abigail Williams Responsible For The Salem Witch Trials
The Crucible is a book about the Salem witch trials during the puritan times. The author is Arthur
Miller. In the book there are many questionable acts, but one main question is who is responsible for
the witch hysteria. Many people can be suspected, but, Abigail Williams is to blame for the Salem
witch trials and all the lives lost because of it. Abigail Williams is most responsible for the Salem
witch trials. Abigail started all the lies by saying Now look you. We danced. And Tituba conjured ruth

to follow. She is basically threatening them so they won t tell the truth about what really happened.
She is convincing the other girls to lie. This is when Abigail became the ringleader of the lies. This
brings her powers, which she starts to use for revenge. Continuing on, Abigail won t let go of her
feelings for John and resents Elizabeth. She is still convinced John loves her when she says it s she put
me out, you cannot pretend it were you. I saw your face when she put me out, and you loved me then
and you love me now (I.425 429). Abigail is convinced that John still loves her and Elizabeth is
coming between them. This makes her grow more angry with Elizabeth and more desperate for John.

The Reformation Of Henry VIII And The Protestant Reformation
The Protestant Reformation was a 16th Century movement aimed at reorganising beliefs and practices
of the Roman Catholic Church which had fallen to unpopularity in recent years. There are many
argued causes of the reforms and it is controversial to suggest that any one had significance over the
others. To fully explore the causes of the reformations in England it is necessary to consider the
position of Henry VIII, legitimate dissatisfaction many English people held with the Roman Catholic
church, and other social factors.
Henry VIII largely influenced the reformations in England. One of the Kings main reasons for pushing
for a Protestant England came from the fact that he wished to separate from his first wife, Catherine of
Aragon. Henry ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Henry VIII had many reasons to lead England towards reform, including more power amongst the
fellow leaders of his country, and economic, social, and political reasoning s.
Many English people had legitimate dissatisfactions with the way the Roman Catholic Church was
being run in the 16th Century. To maximise the income of the church, priests popularised the selling of
indulgences. The church preyed on the vulnerable, exploiting them for money in exchange for the
belief that their relatives would not be existing in purgatory. There were three main areas used to
exploit money from Catholic followers relics, indulgences, and pilgrimages. Small groups of
reformers addressed the issues with these unnecessary sales and brought awareness to parishes which
led to distrust of the churches. As a religion, Roman Catholicism appoints a lot of power to the Pope
which many people in England sought issue with partially because the Pope had little to no idea what
was happening in their country (unlike the King, who would become the head of the Church of
England), and partly because of apostolic succession which suggested that power and authority should
be passed on to their successors. This was a problem for many people as no religious scriptures stated
that apostolic succession should be enforced. The 16th Century saw many religious people coming to
the realisation that the Roman Catholic Church was not leading

The Role of Effective Leadership
Leadership cannot be conducted alone needs partnering, and partnering is one of the important key
point for leaders and followers to transcend interests and facilitate the public good. Leadership is
about principles and principles form a foundation that people anchor themselves with passion to
initiate action and driven an effort or organization toward a common vision. Leaders should consider a
wide range of policy goals; they also should consider a wide range of options to achieve the goals.
When making decisions a leader quickly learns that one size does not fit all. Rules are leaders tools
and they can be excellent tools for achieving a variety of important goals.
Leadership in teacher education and the university in general has been observed in recent years.
Universities and their component schools are not always saw it as a common good for a couple of
reasons. Leadership is one necessary ingredient to reconcile these issues. Leadership is fundamentally
necessary for the teacher education and university to gain the confidence of the community they serve,
by actively working toward a shared vision aimed at the common good. This work requires leaders
who are willing and able to engage societal issues in the context of the overall mission of the school
and the university. Additionally, this work requires that the university understand both community
needs and the capacity of the community to help address its own needs with the assistance of the
university, its schools,

The Connection Between Food And Identity
Food is closely related to human beings as it is one of the daily necessities that cannot be omitted.
Food offers in different places varies due to the differences in geographical location, weather, identity,
culture, availability of ingredients, purpose, to name but a few. Hence food can indeed reflects the
identity of those who consumes it because it is related to them intently. However, there is not much
investigation in the relationship between Identity and food. One of the major reasons is that food
seems to be too informal to be considered in an academic context. Thus I would like to use this
opportunity to illustrate the connection between food and identity. In this essay, I would focus on
explaining how Asian identity, particularly Hong Kong people (Chinese) and Vietnamese identities,
are expressed in food and compare their similarities and differences.
In Hong Kong, Pancai represents two identities in Hong Kong during different period of time: Punti
ethnic identity before 1997 and Hong Kong people identity around decolonization in 1997. Pancai
used to be prepared and consumed by the Punti Cantonese villagers living in the New Territories
exclusively during celebrations, festivals or family gatherings. This differentiates them from Hakka
and Tanka villages who were also living around as they do not eat Pancai. Moreover, only if you are
the kin related to the Cantonese villagers, you can have the rights and obligation to enjoy Pancai, and
this makes eating Pancai an

  • 2. Priyanka Chopra Controversy Priyanka Chopra s tank top for a magazine cover creates a storm on social media Celebrities are like demi gods for fans. Anything they do, say, or wear is copied by their followers insanely. Being a powerful figure and an icon for the people, they fail to realize that their act, words, or attire may drag them into the centre of storm. Though they do so inadvertently, their conduct becomes an issue for debate. Priyanka Chopra has become the hot topic of debate recently when she shot for a cover page of a travel magazine, Conde Nast Traveller. Though the cover page is not obscene, the reason of her being in the middle of the controversy is the top she is wearing which has four words out of which Refugee, Immigrant, and Outsider, are struck off in red, whereas Traveller is intact and clear. As soon as the magazine was out, there was a huge uproar on social media. Many Twitteratis found it insensitive and reckoned that nobody becomes a refugee out of choice. While Priyanka has not given any explanation on her top, the magazine spokesperson came forward and clarified that the wordings on the top has been interpreted wrongly and their intention has not reach to the people. They gave this statement in defense of the controversial top, At Condé Nast Traveller, we believe that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 3. Just Is A Poem Written By. Cummings In Just is a poem written by e.e. cummings. It describes that spring is full of new memories and activities. In just is about how little children go running to a balloonman. His whistles draw them closer to him and they stop whatever they are doing to heed to his calling. He likes to play with the spacing in between words and sentences that help the meaning of the poem and the balloonman. Cummings uses many elements of poetry and describes the balloonman that has many theories to his purpose in the poem. First, the balloonman appears several times in the poem In Just . He fits the spring setting but is described with words that make him stick out. The balloonman has a much darker purpose in the poem then what is read. On lines 3 and 4 he is described as little and lame. He is described as lame to tell the readers that he can t walk properly he s got a limp (shmoop). On lines 11 and 12 cummings described him as old and queer. Spring is the setting and represents things that are new, but the balloonman is old which makes him not fit the poem even more. He is also called queer which means weird. The balloonman is getting a lot more attention than anything else in the poem which makes it seem like he needs to be looked into more. On lines 20 and 21 the balloonMan is described even more. He is called goat footed and the M in men is capitalized. On every line after the balloonman appears he is described as whistling far and wee. He is called goat footed because he is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In order for Odysseus to return home he must purge his household of the suitors. The slaughter that occur near the end of the Odyssey is justified. Many suitors had taken residence within the walls of Odysseus palace and they attempted to persuade his wife Penelope to marry them. In the duration of their stay they depleted Odysseus wealth and disrespected both Telemachus and Penelope during the king of Ithacas absence. Their recklessness is paralleled in the Odyssey by Odyssues men who consume Helios cattle. Furthermore it was decreed by Poseidon who acts of vengeance against Odysseus serve as a kind of justice for the harm he has done to his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Analysis of the Triumph of Divine Love The art piece that I selected for my analysis is called The Triumph of Divine Love by Peter Paul Rubens. The artwork is an oil painting on canvas, circa 1625. This piece of art was commission by Isabella Clara Eugenia, Infanta of Spain and Portugal. The Triumph of Divine Love was one of eleven art pieces in a series portraying the Eucharist cycle, an important issue in the Catholic Protestant strife. Its purpose was to aid in the Catholic Reformation and the artwork was to be displayed at the Convento de las Descalzas Reales in Madrid. (Ringling Museum n.d.) The scene it portrays shows a woman holding an infant while she stands on a chariot drawn by two lions. Surrounding her in the air and around her feet are sixteen angels or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are also several doves at the bottom of the painting, presumably indicating purity and perhaps symbols of love as well. (Wall Text 2012) The focal point of the painting is the woman with infant. This is shown by the lighting in the painting being directly on her, the bright red that she is wearing, and the circling of the putti around her figure along with the majority of their gazes being directed at her. The bright light directly behind her and the infant could possibly be coming from the sun behind the clouds in the sky, the putti to her upper right holding the torch, or it could be symbolic in that it is the infant s halo and representative of his divine nature. The overall piece is not overly dark but the lighting seems to be most focused on the woman, infant, her other children, and the flying putti. This is an example of tenebrism. The flying putti are shown in a ring around the woman, some holding hands. Some have feathered wings; others have either insect or fairy like wings. They all seem to have individual faces and expressions and all express happiness. The putti are contorted in different positions as they fly in the air, and Rubens uses foreshortening with the limbs to achieve this and show movement and action in the piece, especially with the two putti directly above the woman s head and the back of their feet showing to the viewer. He also uses chiaroscuro to give the putti volume shown by the lighting ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. It s Complicated By Danah Boyd In her book, It s Complicated, Danah Boyd expresses her views on modern day social media and the modern day teenager s reliability with it. The book is comprised of 8 enlightening categories: identity, privacy, addiction, danger, bullying, inequality, literacy, and searching for a public of their own. Throughout the book, Boyd provides data, true stories, and factual conversations to help support her main claim: social media has taken over our youth. She conducts numerous interviews with teens of all races, ages, and genders. In the passage, Boyd describes an interview she had with an 18 year old, Skyler, who explained to her mother that If you re not on MySpace, you don t exist, (page 5). • 9. The Literary Theory Known as Post-Colonialism The literary theory known as Post Colonialism is easily defined in content but not in its beginning or end. Ashcroft, Griffins, and Tiffin state that the term covers all the culture affected by the imperial process from the moment of colonization to the present day (2). They focus on the territories colonized by Britain in Empire Writes Back but state that the analysis can apply to the former empires of France, Spain, and Portugal. This view falls in line with the issue brought up by Childs and Williams about after whose empire or whose colonization does it begin? The United States in the 1700s, the Latin American states in the 1800s, or the mid 1900s fall of the British and French empires (1)? What is agreed upon is that the focus is on writing about the effects or culture in post colonial societies or examining colonial literature with an eye for the moral superiority, racial discrimination, or Eurocentric viewpoint. Writers such as Rushdie, Said, and Achebe all belong to this movement with their discussions of the life and culture of the Indian Subcontinent, Eastern culture, and Nigeria respectively. Said, one of the eminent post colonial critics, writes in Orientalism that the concept of the Orient and Oriental culture are Western colonial constructs. Orient describes everything cultural or social in Asia lumping the Arab culture of the Middle East, the Buddhist culture of Southeast Asia, and the ancient cultures of China and Japan as parts of a single entity. • 10. The Role Of Internal And External Influences On Students... While selecting the sample for the interviews, there were two major sets of decisions that had to be made at the outset: (1) deciding on who to interview, and (2) what questions to ask. In regards to selecting the sample, since this question was set out in order to see the connection of internal and external influences in students making decisions in university, it only seemed appropriate that the interview sample consisted of university students. As such, university students were considered the units of analysis for this study. Five students were selected using the purposive sampling technique known as criterion sampling. Criterion sampling was used because in order to be eligible for the interview, the participants had to meet the certain criteria of: having to be either a university student, or a former university student (within three years of graduation), and had to have been enrolled in university for at least three terms. These requirements were set in order to establish an optimal sampling frame for the interviews. Using a non probabilistic sampling technique allows the researcher to make subjective judgements that would aid in their endeavors in proving their hypothesis. Rather than using random selection found in probabilistic sampling, non probabilistic sampling allows for the research objectives to be best fulfilled by a strategically chosen sample (Palys Atchison, 2014, p. 424). Keeping the requirements in mind, the participants in the sample were chosen ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Shakespeare s Sonnet 12 ( 1609 ) And George Herbert s... This essay will address the theme of death in Shakespeare s Sonnet 12 (1609) and George Herbert s poem Virtue (1633). Both Shakespeare and Herbert explore notions of death in their poems, in terms of the tension between the psychical and the spiritual in a religious context. However, where they differ is that Shakespeare places emphasis on the importance of the corporeal, and of what is left behind on earth after death. In contrast, Herbert focuses on the impermanence of the physical, instead advocating a focus on the eternal life of the soul in heaven. In the late 16th and early 17th century, London was ravaged by the Black Death, causing many people to ruminate on death and their mortality. Shakespeare was arguably affected also, indeed death as a concept is a reoccurring theme within Shakespeare s work; prevalent through sonnets, tragedies and medieval morality plays through the character of Death (Courtney, 1995). Shakespeare s Sonnet 12 explores the physicality of death, by describing the physicality and impermanence of the natural world. In the first eight lines this is achieved in a traditional blazon format, perhaps to emphasise the physicality of earthly life. The speaker ruminates on the temporality of life through the image of death and decay and concludes that the only way in which to ensure immortality is through procreation and continuation of the family line, so that he may not be forgotten after death. In the opening line, the speaker meditates on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It is an anticoagulant drug that is used primarily for prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or for patients that exhibit pulmonary embolism (PE) that have underwent specific surgery. Enoxaparin functions as a serine type endopeptidase inhibitor and targets antithrombin III. It binds to it and creates a vertex that irreversibly inactivates clotting factor Xa. Enoxaparin binding to antithrombin III also accelerates the activity of antithrombin III which is a serine protease inhibitor that modulates the activation of blood coagulation. Enoxaparin inhibits the production of prothrombin to thrombin. Antithrombin III inhibits thrombin, factors Xa, IXa, and XIa, as well as matripatase 3/TMPRSS7. With the presence of enoxaparin its inhibitory activity is increased greatly. With the Xa being catalyzed by the attachment of enoxaparin, the translation of prothrombin to thrombin is decreased. ... The situations we face, the people around us etc. are some of the factors that cause anxiety in us. It is our body s normal reaction to the stress that we experience on a daily basis. It is, in fact, essential to be anxious at certain times, as it helps us stay cautious in situations that can be potentially dangerous. One of the most common situations where we face anxiety is when our abilities are tested. Let it be examinations, competitions, sports or interviews, our desire to succeed or prove ourselves often make us anxious, and this anxiety often influences our performance in that event or situation. Also, this anxiety level ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Most of our decisions and actions are often influenced by this particular factor. One s innate need to fit in with or oppose the societal norms often causes anxiety within him or her. A study conducted on 76 female Chinese undergraduate students, confirmed this, as high levels of anxiety and mind wandering was observed in them when they were put under a stereotype threat of men being better than women in mathematics (Feng, Hong, Lu, Tian, Yu and Zheng, 2015). This shows how social norms influence one s thoughts and actions. Further supporting the fact that people around us influence our thoughts and emotions, a comparisonal study conducted between deaf students and students with normal hearing showed how deaf children showed less peer attachment and thereby less social anxiety than the children with normal hearing (Feng, Hong, Lu, Tian, Yu and Yu, 2015). This was due to the fact that the deaf children were often overprotected by their parents, and therefore had restricted social interactions (Li and Prevatt, 2010). In another study, it was found that this system works both ways i.e. a person s anxiety levels affects his or her identity development too. It was found that adolescents with higher anxiety levels had issues more issues with identity formation related tasks. Also, such adolescents had more difficulties in forming commitments (Crocetti, Hale, Keijsers, Klimstra and Meeus, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I will also utilize my personal experiences from when I entered Bowdoin as a first year and I will attempt to breach the phenomenon to observe the outcome. The social location, which is Bowdoin s campus, will enable my ability to observe the phenomenon because it is exclusive to Bowdoin. However, my social location might constrain my ability in that reactions might be bias for or against the phenomenon depending on whether the person uses this custom or not. I believe this is the best method because it will enable me to see how this norm is introduced and manifested over time in the community. Before entering Bowdoin students are told on campus tours and in info sessions about customs that are particular to Bowdoin. They are told that a Bowdoin student strives for the common good and engages in the Bowdoin hello. Near the end of this period, following the Roman invasion of Britain under Claudius in AD 43, king Prasutagus (AD 50 60) became a rich and powerful client of the Romans. After his death, however, the Roman administrators in Britain made the Iceni a subject population. The Roman emperor Nero s representative Decanius Catus moved with incredible haste to do an inventory of the property of the Iceni and their late king. Prasutagus had left a will in which he left half of the property to the emperor, and the other half to his two daughters. The Romans declared the will invalid, and carried out the inventory. Each individual culture, past and present, has stories and myths concerning the various features of the night sky and the constantly moving celestial objects which reside there. There are creation stories which try to explain where the Earth and the numerous stars came from. There are other stories whcih take on a less grand task and only try to explain a single celestial object. Some believe that the stars and the Earth are intertwined and the motions or strange appearances of objects directly relate to what is happening on the Earth. There are also beliefs that the stars and night sky are the Heavens viewable from Earth, where everything must be perfect. If things were not perfect in the Heavens, such as a new star appearing in the sky due to a supernova occurring light years away, some cultures would take this as a bad omen. In ancient China for example, the Emperor was responsible for what happened on Earth as well as what happened in the Heavens, so if a new star appeared unannounced then a competing group vying for control could use that change to try to alter the existing balance of power. This experiment is to calculate many aspects of the water that surrounds Corpus Christi. Water is the key to life on Earth and thus why water is so important. According to the Lab Report water quality is the quality of water and if it is considered acceptable drinking water. Water quality consist of its chemical, physical and biological characteristics. These properties can be studied through pH testing, nitrogen testing, Phosphorous testing and many other useful ways. Water quality is important because it allows scientist to identify if the water is in a good condition to drink or sustain life overall and it dramatically effects how healthy it is. The objective of this lab was to experiment if the water quality around the Corpus Christi is a reliable source of water for organisms and to reach an understanding of the water quality of the water surrounding Corpus Christi. STUDY AREA The location of the water sampling was in three different areas known as the Ward Island, Oso Bride, and Packery Channel. For the Ward Island and the Packery Channel were both well cleaned and little to no trash in the property. As for the Oso bridge the location was surrounded with unwanted trash. In civil law regarding copyright, there are two types of infringement; primary and secondary. Primary is concerned with the unauthorised use of copyrighted works and secondary would involve the dealing or making commercial use of such infringing copies. In the music industry, an infringement of copyright often consists of an existing piece of music being used by an artist without permission from the person or company who own the rights to the original music or recorded sound. Alexie Duff could argue that the sample does not play a substantial part in the piece however he still sampled a sound recording without acquiring permission from the copyright owners. If legal action was to be carried out and the judge decided against Alexie Duff, overall it would stand that the samples used were taken from original sound recordings by Pink Floyd so therefore an infringement of the sound recording copyright would have occurred. If Alexie Duff was to re create the drum beat rather than use the existing recorded sound then this would still be sampling though it would only be an infringement of the musical copyright. In spite of this, Pink Floyd s record label may have less of a case in court as the sample was so short. However this is not the case. An example of where a record company has decided to take legal action against an artist for the use of sampling is the case of Hyperion Records Limited v. Warner Music (UK) Limited. As a religion, Roman Catholicism appoints a lot of power to the Pope which many people in England sought issue with partially because the Pope had little to no idea what was happening in their country (unlike the King, who would become the head of the Church of England), and partly because of apostolic succession which suggested that power and authority should be passed on to their successors. Leadership is about principles and principles form a foundation that people anchor themselves with passion to initiate action and driven an effort or organization toward a common vision. Leaders should consider a wide range of policy goals; they also should consider a wide range of options to achieve the goals. When making decisions a leader quickly learns that one size does not fit all. Rules are leaders tools and they can be excellent tools for achieving a variety of important goals. Leadership in teacher education and the university in general has been observed in recent years. Universities and their component schools are not always saw it as a common good for a couple of reasons. Leadership is one necessary ingredient to reconcile these issues. Leadership is fundamentally necessary for the teacher education and university to gain the confidence of the community they serve, by actively working toward a shared vision aimed at the common good. This work requires leaders who are willing and able to engage societal issues in the context of the overall mission of the school and the university. Additionally, this work requires that the university understand both community needs and the capacity of the community to help address its own needs with the assistance of the university, its schools, ... • 38. The Connection Between Food And Identity Food is closely related to human beings as it is one of the daily necessities that cannot be omitted. Food offers in different places varies due to the differences in geographical location, weather, identity, culture, availability of ingredients, purpose, to name but a few. Hence food can indeed reflects the identity of those who consumes it because it is related to them intently. However, there is not much investigation in the relationship between Identity and food. One of the major reasons is that food seems to be too informal to be considered in an academic context. Thus I would like to use this opportunity to illustrate the connection between food and identity. In this essay, I would focus on explaining how Asian identity, particularly Hong Kong people (Chinese) and Vietnamese identities, are expressed in food and compare their similarities and differences. Pancai used to be prepared and consumed by the Punti Cantonese villagers living in the New Territories exclusively during celebrations, festivals or family gatherings. This differentiates them from Hakka and Tanka villages who were also living around as they do not eat Pancai. Moreover, only if you are the kin related to the Cantonese villagers, you can have the rights and obligation to enjoy Pancai, and this makes eating Pancai an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
