The UCLA Broadcast News Archive is an expanding archive of over 150,000 television news programs that have been captured, digitized, and made searchable through closed captions and other metadata. The archive grows by about 1 terabyte per month. It utilizes a complex technical infrastructure for ingesting, encoding, storing, indexing, and delivering vast amounts of audiovisual content and associated data. Users can search the archive and view authorized video clips through a web interface.
