12. Academic History
At secondary school the main subject that I enjoyed was graphics design although I
wasn’t the best when I started but my skills improved over time. In that subject is
where I found a massive interest in graphics and media and the whole creative
element of it. And when I went to college I did media and found out pretty much
straight away that it wasn’t easy but –it was defiantly something I wanted to do and
enjoyed doing as well. The main skills that I learned at school where how to turn my
ideas into real life things weather on a computer or a physical thing you can hold
and in media at college I learnt how to improve those skills and how to create bigger
and better projects with the resources that I had.
13. Current Study
The creative media course at college is a course that has allowed me to create
pieces of work that I am proud of but that is also based on subjects that I enjoy
which gives me the extra motivation to learn new skills and push my work more to
improve it further. I believe that this course will and has prepared me for university
because it has given me the skills to be able to work at that level but also it has
shown me that when completing and brief I can take my own direction for what I
want to create so that I have my own twist on the work that I am doing.
14. The Future
As I am not dead set on what I want to do for my future I believe that whatever it is
that it will be heavily media based and I also believe that university will help and
lead me to what I want to do. I also believe that university will open a lot of doors
that I can go through and I know that I will work to be able to open those doors and
that university will be a massive stepping stone in my life.
15. Outside College
Outside college I have a job working at a hotel and I work hard to do my job the best I
can. My hobbies are not like most I'm not really into sport but I have a massive
passion for cars and have travelled across the world to see different ones but I also
have a interest in computers and creating things on them I do these things at home
outside of education on my own computer. There are many things I enjoy like
spending time with my friends and going out on drives and I believe that having those
things in my life keeps me motivated to work and push myself in life.
16. Conclusion
The reason I want to go to university is for a lot of things I have lived at home my
whole life and want to become independent and want to experience university but
also use it as a opportunity to open doors in my life that will lead me to where i want
to be and down a carrier path that i can excel in and lead me to a environment that I
can thrive in.
17. Introduction
The course that I am looking for at university is a course that I very much media
based and the ones I have seen are film and game and I believe that those courses
will fit me very well.
