Vision
 An inclusive, competitive, food and nutrition secured and
sustainable agricultural system contributing to the socio-
economic well-being of farmers and rural people and further
development of national economy
Mission
 To enable rural population and agribusiness enterprises
earning profit from production and trade of diverse, safe and
nutritious foods and agricultural products using innovative and
sustainable production, processing, packaging, logistics and
marketing technologies to meet the growing domestic and global
demands
To upgrade vocational education in agriculture and
to produce mid-level agricultural technicians annually
 To train and produce the mid level agricultural technicians
for the development of Agriculture Sector.
 To establish local model farms.
 To disseminate the modernized Agricultural Technologies to
farmers.
 To improve the farmer’s income and livelihood.
 Restructuring more horizontal relationships with
people-centered and participatory approaches
 Focus on participatory and interactive teaching and
learning styles
 Indigenous knowledge systems and local values
 A wider spectrum of stakeholders for curriculum
development
The students who apply for the SAIs require to meet the
following requirements.
 A pass in Basic High School final examination
 Myanmar citizenship
 Under 22 years of age
 Satisfactory character record
 Good Health to carry out field works
Duration of the course is 3 years. Each course year is divided
into 2 semesters, first and second semester. The academic year
begins in November and ends in October in the next year.

Field Activities in Livestock Farm
Certificate offered
At the successful completion of the course, the
“Diploma in Agriculture” certificate is offered.
The students graduated from SAIs
From 1955 to 2017, the SAIs accredited 19271
diploma certificate holders (Diploma in Agriculture )
from the SAIs . Up to 1998 - 1999 Academic Year, a
total of ( 417 ) students (Diploma in Animal Husbandry)
have graduated from the SAIs.

Vision  An inclusive, competitive, food and nutrition secured and sustainable agricultural system contributing to the socio- economic well-being of farmers and rural people and further development of national economy Mission  To enable rural population and agribusiness enterprises earning profit from production and trade of diverse, safe and nutritious foods and agricultural products using innovative and sustainable production, processing, packaging, logistics and marketing technologies to meet the growing domestic and global demands
  • 3. To upgrade vocational education in agriculture and to produce mid-level agricultural technicians annually
  • 4.  To train and produce the mid level agricultural technicians for the development of Agriculture Sector.  To establish local model farms.  To disseminate the modernized Agricultural Technologies to farmers.  To improve the farmer’s income and livelihood.
  • 5.  Restructuring more horizontal relationships with people-centered and participatory approaches  Focus on participatory and interactive teaching and learning styles  Indigenous knowledge systems and local values  A wider spectrum of stakeholders for curriculum development

  • 7. The students who apply for the SAIs require to meet the following requirements.  A pass in Basic High School final examination  Myanmar citizenship  Under 22 years of age  Satisfactory character record  Good Health to carry out field works

  • 9. Duration of the course is 3 years. Each course year is divided into 2 semesters, first and second semester. The academic year begins in November and ends in October in the next year. Nature of Exam in Each Semester Morning Field Work -% Daily Practical -% Tutorial -% Informal Exam -% Practical Exam -% Semester Exam -% Total 100% According to subjects

  • 13. Certificate offered At the successful completion of the course, the “Diploma in Agriculture” certificate is offered. The students graduated from SAIs From 1955 to 2017, the SAIs accredited 19271 diploma certificate holders (Diploma in Agriculture ) from the SAIs . Up to 1998 - 1999 Academic Year, a total of ( 417 ) students (Diploma in Animal Husbandry) have graduated from the SAIs.
