NURSING MAJOR
I STRIVE TO BE AN OPEN-MINDED, KIND, AND OPTIMISTIC PERSON
3 Favorite Assignments
 One of my favorite discussions was Time Management. I really enjoyed this
discussion because I learned how to group important and unimportant things, so
that I’m not wasting too much time on something that not important.
 Another one of my favorite class discussions and assignments would have to be
Recognizing the difference between Creator and Victim language. Everyday
we live to better ourselves as individuals, and in this assignment and class
discussion I learned something about myself that I knew, but for so long was in
denial about. Being this way had a major impact on my relationships and just my
everyday life.
 And lastly, my favorite activity in class was when Autumn had to lift Pippen off the
ground without her feet touching the ground. She couldn’t do it alone and
needed help. Together, Autumn and her teammate, were able not only to lift
Pippen up, but lift her up beyond what was asked. That tough me it’s ok to not
know everything, and to ask for help when you need it.
3 Favorite Journals
 One of my favorite journals was the Inner Critic and Inner Defender journal. In
this journal I learned that I can be entirely too hard on myself when I shouldn’t be.
I also learned that if I change my inner conversation with myself, my behavior will
also change.
 Another one of my favorite journals is the glimpse in the future journal. I really
enjoyed this journal the most because it reminds me what all of my hard work is
for. Writing and visualizing that motivates me everyday to continue to work hard
to eventually see that day.
 The Quadrant I and Quadrant II journal was another one of my favorite journals.
What I liked most about doing this journal is that, in the moment you don’t really
realize how much time you spend on things that really aren’t important. So
actually writing things down and determining how much time you spend on that
one thing, really puts things into perspective on how much you waste your own
time.
My Favorite Week
 My favorite week would have to be the week when we discussed our use
of time and did the 4 Quadrant table. This particular week was my favorite
because I learned a lot about my use of time, and how I was really
wasting a lot of my time doing things that I thought were important but
actually weren’t. You never really think about things when you’re doing
them in the moment, but actually writing them out and putt the amount
of time I spent doing that really opened my eyes. Now before doing
anything else, I ask myself a question, “Have you gotten everything that’s
important out of the way?”
3 Lessons To Carry On
 The number one thing that I learned from this course that I will carry into my
next semesters is the eight qualities of a person. The one that I am going to
work on the most is adopting lifelong learning. Once you adopt lifelong
learning you have wisdom in almost every experience in life and it’s a valuable
lesson.
 Another lesson I learned is how motivation works. V(alue) x E(pectation)=
M(otivavtion). With everyday experience I can use this formula and I will
remember what I value and what expectation I need to have so that I can
accomplish my day or goal.
 I also learned that the most valuable lesson In this course is to know YOU and
value YOURSELF! This will the best way to succeed in college and in life. Once
you know you are and where you are going in life it won’t be a battle.

 In this Course, I have learned that you must accept full
responsibility for your own action. Choices that I make are
also my responsibility. Even though, I will not make the right
choices at all times, everything choice and decision that we
make happens for a reason. I have learned study skills, time-
management, both of which will be very useful in my college
years as well as in my everyday life.
