Tuvalu is a small island country located in the Pacific Ocean northeast of Australia with around 10,000 inhabitants. It is made up of three reef islands and six atolls, with a total land area of only 26 square kilometers, making it one of the smallest and most remote countries in the world. Traditionally, Tuvaluans live in houses built from natural materials and engage in cultural practices like dancing and shell necklace making, and the main foods are pulaka, taro, breadfruit and fish from the surrounding ocean. However, Tuvalu is currently experiencing environmental threats from climate change and rising sea levels.
