This document describes the design and development of a reaction time and impact force measuring device. The device uses sensors and a data acquisition system to measure impact force, reaction time, and response time when a user strikes one of two punching bag targets. LabVIEW software is used to calibrate the sensors, control experiments, and analyze data. Prototypes were developed and tested to calibrate force sensors and measure static and dynamic forces. Experimental results showed the device can accurately measure impact forces from 0-500N with errors less than 10% compared to theoretical calculations.
