 „Renaissance‟ means rebirth.
 Refers to the period of about 1400-1600 that
was a new period of learning and creativity in
Europe.
 Renaissance, largely began in Italy, primarily
in Northern Italy. In the city of Florence.
 It resulted in a new view of mankind and the
way they looked at the world.

• Brilliant people who gave greater influence in the
Arts, Literature, Music, Politics, Banking, Science,
Writing, Poetry, and humanism.

Family Who gained prominence in early 1400‟s.
• Medici Bank became the largest Bank in Europe.
• They supported many famous Artists financially.
Closing comments on Renaissance Italy
• The Renaissance period ended around the 1600‟s, and
than the Baroque period began.
• I have talked on only a few of the many great happen-
ings during this time period.
• My research on this project found many opinions
on the time periods for people, places, and things, which
was confusing at times.
