The Printing Press
Inventor of the printing press: Johannes Gutenberg
A Few Words From Gutenberg	"It is a press, certainly, but a press from which shall flow in inexhaustible streams...Through it, God will spread His Word. A spring of truth shall flow from it: like a new star it shall scatter the darkness of ignorance, and cause a light heretofore unknown to shine amongst men" — Johannes Gutenberg
Importance of the Printing PressThe printing press allowed information to be spread accurately and quickly. As a result of the printing press, scientists were able to print out books and experiment results. This meant that scientists all around Europe working on the same problem could share their results with each other.Printing books from the printing press cost much less than hand-written books, so more books could be produced from the printing press.
The Influence of the Printing Press The original invention of the printing press allowed many people at that time to read printed books. This has continued through the years and today, as a result of this invention, we can read books, newspapers, magazines, maps, instruction manuals, and many other sources of information.
The Printing PressThe printing press was a very important and influential invention to people during the Renaissance and today!!
