This document provides an overview of transistors, including their history, types, properties, and applications. It discusses bipolar junction transistors (BJT), junction field-effect transistors (JFET), and metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFET). For each transistor type, the document describes their basic structure and operating principles, as well as examples of their usage in circuits like amplifiers and switches. The key differences between each transistor type are also highlighted.
This is about the comparison between BJTs and FETs and about their types. Drain and Transfor characteristics of both. Different types of amplifiers.Circuit diagrams are given with details description.

The three terminals of the FET are known as Gate, Drain, and Source.
It is a voltage controlled device, where the input voltage controls by the output current.
In FET current used to flow between the drain and the source terminal. And this current can be controlled by applying the voltage between the gate and the source terminal.
So this applied voltage generate the electric field within the device and by controlling these electric field we can control the flow of current through the device.
In this slides there is basic difference between BJT and Fet defined and very basic terms are used ,so any one can get more information in little bit of time. thanks

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Acetabularia Information For Class 9 .docxvaibhavrinwa19
Acetabularia acetabulum is a single-celled green alga that in its vegetative state is morphologically differentiated into a basal rhizoid and an axially elongated stalk, which bears whorls of branching hairs. The single diploid nucleus resides in the rhizoid.
3. Transistor History
“Transistor” is combination of “transconductance”
and “variable resistor”
HowTransistors Are Made
▪ Vacuum tubes
▪ Inefficient, fragile, bulky, generated a lot of heat
▪ FirstTransistors
▪ Semiconductors – Bell Labs 1947
Introduction
4. Packaging
Surface Mount orThrough Hole
Usually 3 or 4 terminal device
▪ Can be packaged into ICs
GeneralApplications
Amplification/Regulation
Switches
Introduction
5. Current Controlled
i.e: BJT
The output current is proportional to input current
Voltage Controlled
i.e.: JFET, MOSFET
The output current is proportional to input

9. Things to remember
PNP, biasing opposite
Conventional current vs electron flow
A small input current controls a much larger
output current.

Operating Region Parameters

VBE >0.7V
IC = β*IB
Saturated
IB > 0, IC > 0

VCE 0.2V
