Needs assessment and Design- Guest lecturer EAHR 210 University of Reginarobbartlett
Guest lecture for EAHR 210Program Design An introduction to program design for training and adult education environments, curriculum orientations, design processes and development.
UPDATE: A friend commented that this presentation needed more information... He hadn't read the speaker's notes. Please click the tab "notes" next to the "comments" tab... the notes appear on slide 5 forward.
The first few slides are just bullet points mostly... there's a reason for that. Slide 5 starts to pick up the pace. This is a short primer on how to mind map and why they can be so effective. I've given this presentation to CEO Peer Groups and it is always successful with lots of questions and interaction. As a normal course I use Mind Maps to solve problems and build strategies for the Market Development work that I consult on for clients. If you like the presentation, will you "tweet" it for me?
this is a sample lesson for secondary teachers in Laos on how to possibly treat CLIMATE CHANGE in the classroom using mindmaps, WALT/WILF and other learner centered tactics

How to Build a Module in Odoo 17 Using the Scaffold MethodCeline George
Odoo provides an option for creating a module by using a single line command. By using this command the user can make a whole structure of a module. It is very easy for a beginner to make a module. There is no need to make each file manually. This slide will show how to create a module using the scaffold method.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
Thinking of getting a dog? Be aware that breeds like Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, and German Shepherds can be loyal and dangerous. Proper training and socialization are crucial to preventing aggressive behaviors. Ensure safety by understanding their needs and always supervising interactions. Stay safe, and enjoy your furry friends!

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2. BAKIT BA KASI?
Now, climate change is mandated to be
mainstreamed into all development plans by the
Climate Change Act of 2009, --Using the NEDA
guidelines, all LGUs, which are at the frontline of
the CC campaigns, through their local development
councils (LDCs), shall formulate their Local Climate
Change Action Plan (LCCAP) which shall serve as
inputs, together with plans for local disaster risk
reduction (DRR), to the local development plans
(LDPs), annual investment plans, etc.

nagsisimbolo ng
ano’ng gusto mong
pag-isipam. Ipuwesto

25. Step 2:
Relax!
Ang pagmamapa ng utak ay
isa lamang simpleng paraan
na nakakatulong sa pagbubuo
ng mga bagong ideya at
kuneksyon o ugnayan kaya’t
simulan sa isang
bukas, mapaglaro at magaan
na pananaw,--Pwede mo
naman seryosohin maya-

26. Step 3:
Free Associate
o malayang pag-ugnayin:
Sa paglabas ng COOL
ideya, isulat ang isa o 2
salita na naglalarawan sa
naisip mong kaugnay ng
central idea mo. Hayaan Greenhouse

palabas. Ilatag mo ang 2 , etc.

practical strategic planning for local climate

27. Step 4:
Think Fast/Bilisan mo!
Mas magaling ang pag-gana
ng utak sa mga mabilisang (5-
7 minute bursts) tirada, so
capture that explosion of
ideas as rapidly as
possible. Gumamit ng Key
words, symbols and images
bilang shortcuts para mas
mahabol mo ang bilis ng utak
mo!
practical strategic planning for local climate change action plans
28. Step 5:
Break
Boundaries/sige
lang tawirin mo!
Get rid of the idea that
you always have to work
on white, A4-size paper
with black ink or pencil.
Use A3 or better A2-size
paper or cover an entire
wall with wall paper ... the
bigger the paper, the more
ideas you'll have.
Use wild colors, fat colored
markers, crayons, or
skinny felt tipped pens.
practical strategic planning for local climate change action plans
29. Group mind mapping
practical strategic planning for local climate
change action plans
30. Step 6:
Judge Not/huwag muna
husgahan!
Isulat muna lahat ng maisip
kahit hindi pa malinaw ang
kaugnayan sa central idea…
Put everything down that comes into
your minds, even if it is completely
unrelated.
practical strategic planning for local climate change action plans
31. Step 7:
Keep Moving/Galaw lang
ng galaw!
Keep your hands moving!
If ideas slow down, draw empty
spaces and watch your brains
automatically find ideas to fill them
with.
Or change colors to re-energize
your minds.
Stand up and walk around, talking
out loudly to generate even more
energy.
practical strategic planning for local climate change action plans
32. Step 8:
Allow Organization/Pwede
namang balikan!
Minsan, kita mo agad ang
ugnayan at kuneksyon kayat
madaling ikabit ang mga anak ng
ideya sa kanilang “nanay” o main
idea.
Minsan naman, hindi, kaya i-rekta
mo lang kabit sa central idea.
Organization can always come
later; the first requirement is to
get the ideas out of your head
and onto the paper.

33. The Benefits of Mind Mapping
The benefits of Mind (visual) Mapping are extensive and far reaching in that it naturally expands our biological
thinking capacity and ability to think laterally in any given situation.
Here are some of the prolonged benefits experienced by “serial” Mind Mappers (those who regularly utilize Mind
Maps to clarify their thinking and organize their ideas)-- Adam Sicinski

52. Poor Communication
Many times a project may fail because the project
team members do not know exactly what to get
done or what's already been done. Or if they
know the what, the how and when or even the
who, is not so clear.
53. Disagreement
Kahit sabihin nating evolving ang project,
Implementers must agree on various elements.:
One look, one voice, one vision---one strategy,
various tactics
So using what you now know about statics to
communication…
54. PREPARE THE SENDER
Discover your sender’s internal statics
SELECT YOUR AUDIENCE carefully
Appreciate your receiver’s internal statics…
PACKAGE YOUR MESSAGE AND DELIVERY
Design your management strategy for
external statics by balancing your
media/channel mix (complementary)
MAKE SURE YOU GET FEEDBACK AND CALIBRATE FOR
EFFECTIVENESS

AANHIN MO ANG STRATEGY KUNG WALANG
LEADERSHIP?
– AANHIN MO ANG LEADERSHIP AT STRATEGY
KUNG WALANG “TEAM” NA MAG-
IMPLEMENT?
– PAANO MAGKAROON NG “TEAM” KUNG MAY
MISCOMMUNICATION?
– PAANO LILINAWIN ANG DISKARTE/STRATEGY

57. Still with me? ANO BA YUNG PINAG-GAGAWA NATIN KANINA?
6. TUTUKUYIN NATIN ANG MGA problema at rarangguhan [identifying
problems, ranking them (prioritization)] a bit about situational analysis using the
TUMAMA KA model.
7. Mag-aani tayo ng mga konsepto gamit ang MAPTAK o mindmap
8. Tatapusin natin ito sa paghahanay ng mga aksyon katapat ng mapagkasunduang
strategy o diskarte
58. Even if we lose time to cover everything this
pm, You will still be enabled to do 3 great things:
• Apply what you learned and improve your
communications style/management
• Strengthen your teams via the exercises
• Know yourself more and help others
understand you more.
• Build one of the most important components
of strategic teams: TRUST
All of these, make you a winner.
