The document discusses innovative approaches to teaching foreign languages, including the communicative approach, cultural approach, competence-based approach, and problem-based teaching approach. The communicative approach focuses on using communication to teach language in a positive environment. The cultural approach incorporates speech activities and modeling intercultural communication situations. The competence-based approach selects competencies based on learner needs and evaluates performance. The problem-based teaching approach creates problematic situations to motivate thinking. Information technologies that can be used include educational software programs and Web 2.0 tools.

The learning process starts as an inter-mental activity, by the more skilled individual sharing through talk, and ends as an intra-mental activity, with the shared knowledge taken in by the unskilled individual. According to Vygotsky, learning includes two stages: shared understanding in a social context through symbolic mediation (mainly in the form of dialogue) and internalization of the shared knowledge by an individual. The learning process is described as “new concepts continue to be acquired through social/interactional means” (Mitchell & Myles, 2004).

This presentation will provide a detailed guide to key competences and will demonstrate that most teachers are already using key competences in many typical activities without realizing! We will give you useful tips and activities to incorporate the key competences into the 4 skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. We will also look at ways to assess and evaluate them using technological resources such as wikis.

This course looks at the nature of learning and begins looking at the features of a productive relationship between teacher and student. The book is a course reference compilation of articles to support the PRIME Approach.

Technology has made its way into the classroom in a big way, leading to new teaching methods including blended learning and flipped classrooms. But technology should be incorporated in to the language classroom strategically to allow both the teacher and the technology to do what they each do best.

Technology In Modern Foreign Languages A Practitioners PerspectiveJosé Picardo
Originally published as a series of blog posts titled Technology in Modern Foreign Languages, this collection of articles explores how teachers are successfully incorporating the use of new technologies into their classroom practice with a focus on enhancing teaching and learning.
Technologies such as blogging, microblogging, web 2.0, wikis, sound recording and videoconferencing have all found their way into our classrooms and harnessing them effectively is at the heart of 21st century pedagogy.
Shared Value in the Pharmaceutical IndustryRobert Au
Final assessment for MGMT90148 (Consulting Fundamentals). Designed as an application of a key tool used in management consulting applied to a practical industry context. The brief is as follows:
Your Consulting Engagement
In recent years there has been a global trend of big pharmaceutical companies expanding their presence and operations into emerging markets. One of Australia’s largest pharmaceutical companies, Medstar Ltd, has been lagging in this regard.
As such, Medstar’s board of directors have decided to engage a team of management consultants from your firm to undertake a market intelligence project to present a strategic business case. Specifically, they are seeking guidance on whether the company should revamp their strategic plan to incorporate emerging markets as part of their long term growth strategy.
The Board Chairman, Patrick Wynnan, has indicated that your report will be reviewed at their upcoming strategy planning retreat with the senior executive team. Patrick explained that emerging markets presents numerous opportunities for Medstar Ltd. on various fronts and would like your team to focus on building a business case on the concept of ‘shared value’. He wants your team to focus on emerging market opportunities in the Asia region.
Patrick was particularly interested in understanding how Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) – one of their global competitors – have been doing with regard to their strategy and operations in emerging markets. GSK was one of the first
multinational pharmaceutical companies to execute an aggressive growth strategy in emerging markets and would serve as a good point of reference in the project.
Although your report will be a critically important input in their strategic planning process, Patrick reminded you that the executives do not have time to be reading through endless pages of over-intellectualised rhetoric. The final report has to be something that the executives will want to read otherwise the entire engagement is a waste of time and effort for everyone involved. The executives are seeking succinct and practical insights.
Traditional & Technology Infused Foldables for the Foreign Language Classroom...desalynn
Traditional & Technology Infused Foldables for the Foreign Language Classroom - The technology infused foldables use PowerPoint templates allowing students to use technology skills while engaged in meaningful foreign language activities. The traditional foldables allow students to display information in a way to help them grasp concepts and ideas and also give them a sense of ownership and investiture in curriculum. Visit profehanson.weebly.com for examples & ideas for using foldables in the LOTE classroom

4. 1-The Communicative approach in FLT.
Education through communication is the essence of all intensive
methods of learning a foreign language.
Serves to meet the challenges of "social interaction“. This
approach creates a positive environment for the active and the free
development of the individual. In general, these conditions are as
follows:
1-Students have the opportunity to freely express their thoughts and
feelings in the process of communication;
2-Participants feel safe from criticism for mistakes and errors;
3-Expression of personality is more important than the
demonstration of language skills;
4-Relationships are built on empathy and understanding feelings of
others.

- In 1975, the Adult Performance Level project identified a set of competencies (knowledge and
skills) viewed as basic for adults to function in the United States (Adult Performance Level Project,
1975).
- CBE formed the basis for the language and orientation programs in most refugee programs
overseas in the 1970s and 80s and in many U.S. programs.

business and professional communication.

• What kind of variants to come into contact and start negotiations you intend to use and why?
• Should you demonstrate our interest in cooperation, and if not, how you are going to present the
main purpose of the meeting?
• How you think the behavior of the partner will be, if you don`t not accept their offers?
