Football is the most popular sport in Poland. Over 400,000 Poles play football regularly, with
millions more playing occasionally. The first professional clubs were founded in the early 1900s,
and the Polish national football team played its first international match in 1921.

3. Robert Lewandowski
Robert Lewandowski (born 21 August 1988) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a
striker for German club Bayern Munich, and captains the Poland national team.
A full international for Poland since 2008, Lewandowski has earned over 80 caps and was a
member of their team at Euro 2012 and Euro 2016. With 35 goals, he ranks fifth among their top
scorers of all time.

4. Ski jumping

5. Adam Małysz
In 1995, the Polish national team debut, Adam Malysz, who later became the most successful

medals (including four gold) and four Crystal Balls for winning the World Cup. In 2001, also he
won the Four Hills Tournament, which did not reach any other Polish player. Malysz Wins in
2001-2011, aroused great interest surges in Poland.

6. Volleyball
Volleyball in Poland is a popular team sport. It is one of the most popular sports in
Poland. The Men's national team is ranked 3rd and the Women's team is ranked 28th in
the FIVB World Rankings. Both teams have a lot of success in international competitions.

7. Bartosz Kurek
Bartosz Kamil Kurek (born 29 August 1988) is a Polish volleyball player, a member of Poland
men's national volleyball team and Japanese club JT Thunders Hiroshima, a participant of the
Olympic Games, 2009 European Champion, a gold medalist of the 2012 World League, a silver
medalist of the 2011 World Cup, a bronze medalist of the 2011 World League, 2011 European
Championship and 2015 World Cup, three-time Polish Champion and Italian Champion.

8. Tennis
Tennis is a racket sport that can be played individually against a single opponent (singles) or
between two teams of two players each (doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket. The object of
the game is to play the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return.
The player who is unable to return the ball will not gain a point, while the opposite player will.

9. Agnieszka Radwańska
Agnieszka Radwańska born 6 March 1989 is a Polish professional tennis player.
Radwańska achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 2 in July 2012 and is
currently ranked world No. She has won eighteen career singles titles, and is nicknamed
"The Professor" among fellow players

10. Handball
Handball is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outfield players and a
goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other
team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more
goals wins.

11. Karol Bielecki
Karol Bielecki (born 23 January 1982) is a Polish handball player for Vive Targi Kielce and the
Polish national team.[1]
He also played for Poland national handball team, winning a silver medal in the World
Handball Championship in 2007 and a bronze in 2009. He announced his retirement from the
national team on 13 April 2012, following the unsuccessful Olympic campaign of Poland

12. Cycling
Cycling, also called bicycling or biking, is the use of bicycles for transport, recreation, exercise or
sport. Persons engaged in cycling are referred to as "cyclists", "bikers", or less commonly, as
"bicyclists". Apart from two-wheeled bicycles, "cycling" also includes the riding of unicycles,
tricycles, quadracycles, recumbent and similar human-powered vehicles.

13. Rafał Majka
Rafał Majka (born 12 September 1989) is a Polish professional road bicycle racer for UCI ProTeam
Tinkoff. He is known as a strong climber, and rose to prominence at the 2013 Giro d'Italia, where
he finished 7th overall, and 6th one year later. Other major achievements are three mountainous
stage wins in the Tour de France as well as the Mountains classification in the 2014 and 2016
edition, two stages and the overall victory at the 2014 Tour de Pologne. He achieved his first
Grand Tour podium finish at the 2015 Vuelta a España, where he finished third. At the 2016
Summer Olympics, he won a bronze medal for Poland in the road race.
