Rowing is a sport where athletes race boats on rivers, lakes, or oceans. The boats are propelled by oars pushing against the water. Rowing can be recreational to learn techniques or competitive where size, fitness, and experience provide advantages. It is an Olympic sport and in the US, rowing in school is often called crew.

Extreme Sports how high-risk subjects performed outdoors are defined; is in contact with nature. There practitioners only want to undergo extreme stress. With it looking a psychic and physical deliverance, giving them a deep sense of pleasure. The harsh environmental conditions found in nature become judge, opponent, even the protagonist of the action.
These sports are characterized by sports in which participants have to undergo a series of challenges which are imposed by other players or to the same field.
Recreation refers to all those activities that people choose to do to refresh their bodies and minds and make their leisure time more interesting and enjoyable. It is about taking a break from work or daily responsibilities and engaging in something that brings pleasure and relaxation. Sailing, for example, is a recreational activity that allows individuals to connect with nature and experience the thrill of using wind to power sails and move a boat forward. Unlike windsurfing and surfing, which are done on boards, sailing takes place in an enclosed boat. It provides a unique opportunity to explore water bodies, navigate through different weather conditions, and appreciate the beauty of the surrounding environment. Today, sailing is predominantly pursued for leisure and enjoyment. So, let's now delve into the world of sailing as a wonderful recreational activity that offers countless adventures and unforgettable experiences.
Swimming is a movement through water using
one’s limbs and usually without artificial apparatus.
Swimming is an activity that can be both useful and
recreational.
“The move is an ongoing process of falling forward and a mass dropped from a higher level drops quickly, "says Bejan.
“The swimmer that makes the biggest wave is the faster, and makes a long trunk and larger waves. Europeans have a 3% longer than the West African body, and this gives them 1.5% more speed advantage in the pool, "he completes.
A style is also known as a stroke. "Stroke" can also refer to a single completion of the sequence of body movements repeated while swimming in the given style.
Several swimming styles are suitable for recreational swimming; many recreational swimmers prefer a style that keeps their head out of the water and has an underwater arm recovery. Breaststroke, side stroke, head up front crawl and dog paddle are the most common strokes utilized in recreational swimming. The out-of-water arm recovery of freestyle or butterfly gives rise to better exploitation of the difference in resistance between air and water and thus leads to higher speed.
It is possible to swim by moving only legs without arms or only arms without legs. Such strokes may be used for special purposes, for training or exercise, or by amputees and paralytics.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2. Rowing is a sport in which athletes race against each other on rivers, on
lakes or on the ocean, depending upon the type of race and the discipline.
The boats are propelled by the reaction forces on the oar blades as they
are pushed against the water. The sport can be both recreational,
focusing on learning the techniques required, and competitive where
physical size and overall fitness plays a large role. It is also one of the
oldest Olympic sports. In the United States, high school and College
rowing is sometimes referred to as crew.
3. • Sailing is the propulsion of a vehicle and the control of its movement with large (usually
fabric) foils called sails. By changing the rigging, rudder, and sometimes the keel or centre
board, a sailor manages the force of the wind on the sails in order to move the vessel
relative to its surrounding medium (typically water, but also land and ice) and change its
direction and speed. Mastery of the skill requires experience in varying wind and sea
conditions, as well as knowledge concerning sailboats themselves and an understanding of
one's surroundings.
• While there are still some places in the world where sail-powered passenger, fishing and
trading vessels are used, these craft have become rarer as internal combustion engines have
become economically viable in even the poorest and most remote areas. In most countries
sailing is enjoyed as a recreational activity or as a sport. Recreational sailing or yachting can
be divided into racing and cruising. Cruising can include extended offshore and ocean-
crossing trips, coastal sailing within sight of land, and daysailing.
4. • Swimming is the self propulsion of a person through water or other liquid,
for survival, recreation, sport, exercise or other reason. Locomotion is achieved
through co-ordinated movement of the limbs, the body, or both. Humans are able
to hold their breath underwater and undertake rudimentary locomotive swimming
within weeks of birth, as an evolutionary response.
• Swimming is consistently found to be amongst the top recreational activities
undertaken by the public, and in some countries, swimming lessons are a
compulsory part of the educational curriculum. As a formalized sport, swimming
features in a range of local, national and international competitions, including
featuring in every modern summer Olympics.
5. • Diving is the sport of jumping or falling into water from a platform or springboard,
sometimes while performing acrobatics. Diving is an internationally-recognized sport
that is part of the Olympic Games. In addition, unstructured and non-competitive
diving is a recreational pastime.
• Diving is one of the most popular Olympic sports with spectators. Competitors possess
many of the same characteristics as gymnasts and dancers, including strength,
flexibility, kinaesthetic judgment and air awareness.
• The success of Greg Louganis has led to American strength in diving internationally.
China came to prominence several decades ago when the sport was revolutionized by
national coach Liang Boxi. Other noted countries in the sport include Russia, Great
Britain, Italy, Australia and Canada.
6. • Snorkeling (British spelling: snorkeling) is the practice of swimming on or through a body of
water while equipped with a diving mask, a shaped tube called a snorkel, and usually swimfins.
In cooler waters, a wetsuit may also be worn. Use of this equipment allows the snorkeler to
observe underwater attractions for extended periods of time with relatively little effort.
• Snorkeling is a popular recreational activity, particularly at tropical resort and scuba
diving locations. The primary appeal is the opportunity to observe underwater life in a
natural setting without the complicated equipment and training required for scuba diving. It
appeals to all ages because of how little effort there is, and without the exhaled bubbles of
scuba-diving equipment.
• Snorkeling is also employed by scuba divers when on the surface, and search and
rescue teams may snorkel as part of a water-based search. It is also a means to an end
in underwater sports such as underwater hockey, underwater ice hockey, underwater
rugby and spearfishing.
7. • Water polo, or Water ball, is a team water sport. The playing team consists of six
field players and one goalkeeper. The winner of the game is the team that scores
the most goals. Game play involves swimming, treading water (using a sort of
kicking motion known as "eggbeater kick"), players passing the ball while being
defended by opponents, and scoring by throwing the ball into a net defended by a
goalie. 'Man-up' (or 'power play') situations occur frequently. Water polo,
therefore, has strong similarities to the land-based game of team handball.
8. • Rafting or white water rafting is a challenging recreational outdoor
activity using an inflatable raft to navigate a river or other bodies of
water. This is usually done on white water or different degrees of
rough water, in order to thrill and excite the raft passengers. The
development of this activity as a leisure sport has become popular
since the mid-1970s. It is considered an extreme sport, as it can be
dangerous.
9. • Canoeing is a paddle sport in which one kneels or sits facing forward in an
open-decked canoe, and propels oneself with a single-bladed paddle,
under one's own power. Kayaking is a similar activity in a kayak which
usually has a closed deck and is propelled with a double bladed paddle. In
a kayak the paddler typically sits with legs extended forward.
• In some situations canoeing refers to both canoeing and kayaking. Other
than by the minimum competition specifications (typically length and
width (beam) and seating arrangement it is difficult to differentiate most
competition canoes from the equivalent competition kayaks.
