PRESENTATION ON Tourist Area Life Cycle
The tourism lifecycle theory was firstly proposed in 1963 by the German researcher Christaller, who described the development of tourism through three stages like a common product, namely “discovery, growth and decline”.
In 1980, Butler developed a model which shows how any tourist resort may grow is known asTourist Area Life Cycle.

Nature tourism – responsible travel to natural areas, which conserves the environment and improves the welfare of local people.
It is tourism based on the natural attractions of an area. Examples include birdwatching, photography, stargazing, camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, and visiting parks. These experiential tourists are interested in a diversity of natural and cultural resources. They want what is real, and they want to be immersed in a rich natural, cultural, or historical experience.
Couple camping, one of the many activities that can be enjoyed as a nature tourist.
From the standpoint of conservation, nature-based tourism provides incentives for local communities and landowners to conserve wildlife habitats upon which the industry depends – it promotes conservation by placing an increased value on remaining natural areas. As nature tourism becomes more important to the local economy, communities have additional incentive to conserve their remaining natural areas for wildlife and wildlife enthusiasts.
The nature-based tourism efforts in Texas will continue to focus on achieving habitat conservation by providing information and assistance to private landowners, communities, businesses, and local community leaders wishing to make nature-based tourism an integral part of their business and community. By empowering people at the local level, we hope to build and provide guidance to a growing industry that holds great promise for sustainable economic development and conservation of wildlife habitat.

Hospitality and Tourism is one of the world’s largest growing industries and it is a source
of income for many nations. Being people oriented business, Hospitality industry also gives several jobs that has helped rejuvenate local economies. Though, like other kinds of development, hospitality and tourism can also cause difficulties such as loss of cultural heritage, social dislocation, ecological degradation and economic dependence. In Nepal, the industry of hospitality and tourism is growing at a skyrocket pace as well as it also has tremendous probable development of tourism because of its unique cultural and natural heritage. Concerning this, the tourism policy has been created with a framework of: increasing foreign currency, augmenting national income and productivity, improving regional imbalances, creating employment opportunities and projecting the image of Nepal more aggressively in the international arena with the diversification and development of tourism and travel industries.

The results show that there is a high intensity of positive linear relationship between tourism economy and economic growth in Hunan Province, and the average level of GDP will increase by 972380000 yuan per 100000000 yuan.
▪ The development of the tourism sector has long been viewed as integral to Mongolia’s efforts to diversify the economy and create more jobs
outside the mining sector.
▪ Mongolia has a unique value proposition from a tourism endowment perspective, with strong niche products for leisure tourism linked to the
country’s diverse nature and stunning sceneries; the nomadic lifestyle and Mongolian culture and festivals; the historical legacy of Genghis
Khan; and sports and adventure tourism that thrive during a relatively short tourism season mainly between May and September.
▪ The business travel sub-sector is associated with Mongolia’s vibrant mining industry. The spectacular growth of the mining industry has
brought rapid economic growth. It has captured the attention of both politicians and business leaders and helped shape the Government of
Mongolia’s (GoM) policy agenda. It has also absorbed much workforce talent and led to persistent macroeconomic turbulence.
▪ The leisure tourism sub-sector has struggled to expand for most of the past two decades, underperforming its potential, but began to gather
growth momentum in 2016, achieving arguably its best year on record in 2019. However, this was followed by the worst year on record in
2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic led to the to closure of international borders, cancelled flights and reduced domestic mobility.
▪ As of the publication date of this study (June 30, 2021), it remains unclear how much longer the COVID-19 pandemic will constrain global
tourism activity. Fortunately, Mongolia has reported one of the fastest roll-outs of vaccines in the world. By May 10, 2021, Mongolia had
inoculated more than 50% of its population with at least one dose of vaccine – the world’s second highest rate at the time.*
▪ This study is presented in a visual PowerPoint format to allow readers to more readily access key data, analytical findings and policy
conclusions. It is a follow up to the previous World Bank-commissioned study of Mongolia’s tourism sector nearly a decade ago (World Bank
(2012), “Mongolia: Economic Contribution of Mongolia’s Tourism Markets”, Discussion Paper, February 2012) that was prepared by a team of
sector association and business leaders in Mongolia’s tourism sector—many of whom the authors of this new study consulted and whose
insights greatly benefited this work.

Strategic Marketing A Panacea for Harnessing Nigerian Tourism Potentials for ...ijtsrd
This study examined strategic marketing A panacea for harnessing Nigerian tourism potential for social economic development. The study adopted survey method. The data for the study were collected through structured questionnaire administered on professionals and stakeholders in tourism industry and secondary data from the databases of the World Bank and World Economic Forum on international tourist arrivals and sustainability index for Nigeria. The study area was restricted to South Eastern States of Nigeria. The selected States include Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Ebonyi and Abia. A sample size of 150 was determined from the population of stakeholders in the industry which include management staff of the State’s Tourism Board, Travel Agents, Hoteliers and various Community Heads. Purposive sampling technique was adopted in administering the questionnaire on the respondents directly involved in tourism development and marketing in the study area. The data collected were presented and analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings indicated that there is no significant effect of sustainability of travel and tourism industry development on international tourist arrivals. It equally revealed that the aims of sustainable tourism were not seriously considered in the marketing strategies of the stakeholders. In order to attract more tourists from developed nations, issues of sustainability need to be integrated in the marketing strategy of the country’s tourism industry. Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

7. Visit Nepal 2011
The government of Nepal has announced the year 2011 as Nepal
tourism year and targeted to reach the number of tourists
visiting Nepal to be doubled i.e. one million in the year 2011.
The recent statistics of visit to Nepal shows that the numbers of
tourists are not exceeding more than half million, as the number
were 526,705 in 2007 and 500,277 in 2008.
Despite strong potential, tourism growth declined in last decade
in Nepal, significantly mainly because of conflict and insecurity.
However the current statistics shows that the industry has
started rebounding in the country, but we need to investigate
why this sector is under performing and how Nepal can increase
market share in an increasingly competitive world tourism
market.

14. Impact of Global crises in Tourism
Industry in Nepal
Historically, Nepal's tourism sector has been a success story.
However, from 2007 to 2008, the country experienced a sharp decline
due to the onset of a global recession and regional instability.
Geography
Nepal is a landlocked country between China and India. The natural
landscape consists of valleys and plains in the south and the awe-
inspiring Himalayan Mountains in the north.
Statistics
From 2007 to 2008, Nepal's tourism declined by five
percent, compared to an increase of 37.2 percent from 2006 to 2007.
The majority of this decline was in cultural travel; there was actually an
increase in the trekking and mountaineering sector.
15. Impact of Global crises in Tourism
Industry in Nepal
Economic Significance
According to the 2008 Annual Report of Nepal Tourism Statistics, there
was a 52.6 percent increase in tourism revenue from 2007 to 2008.
Revenue increased from approximately $231 million to $352
million, respectively.
Effect of a Global Recession
Nepal's tourism department attributes the decline to the global recession.
However, economic indicators demonstrate that those who can afford to
visit are spending more money in Nepal's tourism sector.
Regional Instability
Another contributing factor to the decline in Nepal's tourism was a civil war
with Maoist rebels and the Nepalese government. While the war has
ended, continued fighting between political regimes occasionally prevents
international travel into Nepal
