Side Effects Of Anabolic Steroids
nabolic steroids can have a lot of dangerous and less dangerous side effects. Many of them are
reversible, ie the body goes back to its normal state after completion of the cure, but some are
permanent and must be operated or you have to live with them throughout life. In the worst case, one
can die. There are both physical and psychological side effects, where the mental effects are often
underestimated. It is very important to understand that the physical side effects are nothing compared
to the mental. There are also many ways to prevent and to prevent adverse physical outcomes. But the
psychological damage is not something you can do to prevent. Most have mental side effects to a
greater or lesser degree. Begins with anabolic steroids

Cub The Most Beautiful Thing Human Eyes
Cuba
How would you like to travel to the wonderful country of Cuba? Christopher Columbus described it as
the most beautiful thing human eyes have ever seen! Along with its rich culture, Cuba also has an
aggressive history, flat geography, harsh government, rich culture, and a poor economy. First, Cuba is
known for having an aggressive history. During Cuba s beginning, Christopher Columbus landed in
Cuba in 1492. Many years later there was a measles outbreak in 1529 which killed most of the
population at that time. A few hundred years later, Carlos Manuel de Cespedes led a rebellion to free
Cuba in 1868. In 1898 Spain and the U.S. sign the treaty of Paris. In addition to Cuba s formative
years, it has several newsworthy events. Cuba fought many wars like the ten years wars in 1868 1880
and the Little War in 1879 1880. In 1875 Cuba ended slavery. Thereafter, Cuba fought for their
independence against Spain in 1895 1898. On October 13th, 1910 a horrible hurricane called the
Cyclone of the Five Days, hit the country, and nine hundred people died. Cuba suffered against
another hurricane, Hurricane Flora in 1963 were 1,000 Cubans lost their lives. In 1956, Fidel Castro
Ruz launched a revolution from the Sierra Maestra mountains. The U.S. ended military help to Cuba
in 1958, and on New Year s Day 1959, Batista fled into exile and Castro took over the government.
During Fidel Castro s presidency, Cuba did well in the Olympics. In 1980 Cuba won 20 medals in the

The Importance Of Exceptive Leadership
Society benefits from effective leadership. However, effective leadership is not inherent to most
people and requires development. As Ross Perot states Lead and inspire people...Inventories can be
managed but people must be lead (Anderson, 2013). Exceptional leadership goes beyond a role of
power. James Hunter writes in his successful book The Servant, that leadership is influence and all
people are capable of leadership by the influence that they transmit into the world (2012). The role of
doctoral prepared nurse practitioners extends beyond the confine of employee. The expanse of the
nurse practitioner role includes leadership within the clinical, community, and national setting. As
Hunter proclaims, everyone is a leader, including nurses. Therefore, it is imperative that nurses are the
exceptional leaders that society benefits from. The following is a compendium of leadership topics
valuable to building awareness and competency as a nurse leader. The intention for this compendium
is for the author to demonstrate understanding of the eleven identified leadership topics by review of
the literature. This paper will explore the many facets of leadership and their applications with a focus
on the nurse practitioner role. Critical points of leadership skills, qualities, and challenges will be
examined for each topic.

Film Analysis Of Elmer Rice s The Adding Machine
Elmer Rice s production, The Adding Machine, portrays the story of Mr. Zero, an accountant, who has
recently been fired from his position as a bookkeeper after nearly twenty five years of consecutive
work. His removal is marked by the introduction of an adding machine that has the appropriate means
to accomplish the necessary tasks without human interference. As a result of being replaced, an angry
Mr. Zero murders his boss, Mr. Smith, and thus begins the execution process in which Mr. Zero is
transported to a heaven like state where he meets Shrdlu and is then reincarnated to begin a new life.
This production is an authentic example of expressionism as exemplified by the process of a spiritual

Thus, the women were clad in button down blouses tucked into pencil skirts and the men were clothed
in button up shirts and dress pants. This overall minimalistic aesthetic was evident in every aspect of
the performance and emphasized the idea of uniformity and conformity that was present in American
society during this time period. The cast was composed of fifteen actors, in which some of the actors
performed multiple characters such as Ayla Sullivan who portrayed Daisy and Mrs. Seven or Brendan
Lynch who took on the role of Shrdlu and Mr. Four. Each performer delivered dialogue with an
intense conviction and sharpness. This intensity was only magnified when the ensemble delivered
their lines together loudly and articulately. The choreography was also synchronized and intricately
placed to symbolize how a machine functions and reinforce this idea of a mechanized, industrial
society that has robbed each worker of their humanity, more explicitly their individualistic
personalities. Although there were several characters present, the absence of individualism was further
depicted through the sequenced names of Zero, One, Two Three, Four, Five, Six in ascending order,
the homogenous clothing, and the expressionless, serious countenance each character possessed.
Personally, I thought this play was difficult to follow as the storytelling seemed

Christianity Dominates American Society And Children Essay
Christianity dominates American society, and due to this any sort of religious rebellion is
automatically seen as hearsay and blasphemy that poisons our society and children. While in the
college setting we try to be more open to other ideas, people still look down on alternate religions as
the wrong way. As for the Satanist church, they re seen as downright evil, certainly a popular
misconception in our culture. When LaVey started the Temple of Satan in the 1960 s, he was poking
fun at our uptight Christian society (Urban, 170.) Modern LaVey Satanism is a mixture between
serious ritual and satire, resulting in a strange community and an even more passionate following.
Throughout our class, we have been learning about what makes a religion a religion, the people
involved, and the culture that relates to its very core. Satanism as a whole is partially religious, and
partially atheist. Nevertheless, this community is fighting for representation in the media, in schools,
and in the community as much as the next religion. Satanism is pushing against the dominant religion,
and in doing so, opening the floodgates for itself as well as other religious groups for their right to
religious freedoms in the United States. In my paper, I will discuss various branches of Satanism, with
a focus on the Satanic Temple s movement and it s fame and reception in today s media. From a
modern Christian perspective, Satan is a representation of worship of all things evil. However, modern

Implementing A New Communication Record For Tracking...
Assessment of Problem: Clearly describe the problem in your work unit and your plan to solve the
problem.
The problem within the work unit is that we tend to be complacent and sees things as they are and not
as they could be. The Agency s mission is To responsibly provide access to quality health coverage for
vulnerable Mississippians. In order to accurately carry out this mission, the Office of Appeals needs to
aggressively keep up with advances in technology (i.e. computer application and software), and
eagerly embrace new found ways of ensuring that our clients receive information and assistance as
quick and efficiently as possible. My plan to solve this problem is to create, and then recommend
implementing a new communication record for tracking beneficiaries and clients request for a state
eligibility hearing. Each record will be assigned an appeal number that would allow us to track the
case from receipt through resolution.
To date, the Office of Appeals is utilizing an Excel spreadsheet to record and track incoming requests
(See Attachment I). The spreadsheet displays data in text and numbers, which allows sorting and
calculations. The problem with the spreadsheet is it does not effectively provide electronic tracking of
incoming eligibility appeal requests from the Agency s thirty (30) regional offices. Also, the problem
is that the spreadsheet does not allow space for more specific data to be entered that is considered
pertinent to the case (See Attachment

The Strength Of Apple. “Apple Had Always Been ‘Different’
The Strength of Apple Apple had always been different and what drove it never changed (Segall 88)
Apple is arguably the most influential and disruptive technology company on the global scale.
Founded on April 1st 1976 in Cupertino California as Apple Computer Inc., Apple has had its fair
share of challenges and failures over the past 41 years but has become a behemoth of a technology
company over the last ten years or so, amassing gross amounts of success (Rawlinson). The question
is how; how did a small company started in a garage become so prosperous and how have they made
the competition, namely Microsoft and Samsung, almost irrelevant. The answer is multi faceted.
Obviously, timing plays a huge role in circumstances such as ... Show more content on

The Apple I was a groundbreaking product for its time because all it required was a keyboard and a
monitor, other companies needed extra circuitry to display text making the Apple I more enticing.
While there were 200 Apple I computers produced, a significant amount for the time, Apple s success
really began with the Apple II (Rawlinson). The Apple II was a true innovation for its time and
completely revolutionized the computer market. However, it was not the Apple II itself that was
amazing even though it had color graphics and a very high resolution for its time; it was what you
could do with the computer that garnered so much interest, especially from businesses (Rawlinson).
Dan Bricklin, a Harvard Business School student saw that he could create and run a program on the
Apple II that could do a few different types of calculations we know this today as a spreadsheet. The
program or app, named VisiCalc, solidified Apple s place in the computer and technology industry
(Rawlinson). After the Apple II came the Macintosh and then came the iMac. The iMac was a design
of beauty on the shelves next to the beige computers that dominated the market back then, the teal
iMac, with its cutecircular mouse and translucent body, stood out (The Apple Revolution). Apple did
what none of the other companies were doing at the time, they found ways to

We are number one in the world for teenage pregnancy, about 500,000 births per year from girls under
twenty. Second in the statistic is Poland, who only has about 30,000 teenage births in a year. When the
topic of sex arises, people become uncomfortable because it is a subject that is thought of as personal
and secretive. However, people aren t only uncomfortable with the subject because of it being taboo,
people try to avoid the subject because they aren t always informed correctly about it and don t have a
way to learn about it, excluding the internet which doesn t always have accurate material, and lack
general knowledge of sex. Education about sex and its surrounding topics such as STI s and

Parents want to teach their offspring about sex at home, because they feel like they can provide what
they feel is age appropriate material to their offspring. However, if we rely on parents to teach their
children about sex, how do we prove that their information is age appropriate or credible? Personal
beliefs might be added into the information and can exclude certain subjects like what to do if you are
having consensual sex before marriage. Certain beliefs people follow, such as Catholics, don t teach
the subject of contraception to girls ( Madison ). If we teach sex and its related topics that have been
proven as medically accurate at a suitable time for adolescents, they can grow to think of it not as a
controversial subject and can freely speak of the correct information they learned. Teenagers who don
t get medically accurate information can become liable for their actions which they were not properly
taught the consequences of earlier. When you don t teach a female accurate information about sex,
they are risking the chance of getting pregnant because of the material that she was taught. This is also
true for boys when they don t know the consequences of having sex. They are at risk of venereal
diseases and getting their partner, if female, pregnant. Not teaching adolescents about the risks

Types Of Missing Teeth And Fabrication Of Partial Or...
Types of articulators OCLS 223 Prepared by: Meghetie Ketchedjian 201500949 Fall 2015 2016
Articulators Restoration of missing teeth, and fabrication of partial or complete dentures is the main
objective of prosthodontics. However, in order to accomplish the task, the occlusion of the patient is
necessary to be able to fabricate a successful prosthesis that suits him/her best. Since keeping him/her
attached to the dental chair is not possible every time a record is needed, a device that could represent
the patient was crucial. That s how in the 19th century the concept of the articulator was given birth,
and the first articulator was fabricated. Definition: An articulator is a mechanical device that mimics
and represents the TMJ and jaw members where maxillary and mandibular casts will be attached to
reproduce mandibular position and motions. An articulator can simulate mandibular movements, but it
cannot duplicate all the possible movements. It can only be adjusted to simulate border movements,
within which our chewing occurs. Purpose behind the use of an articulator: The main function of an
articulator is to act as the patient in the absence of the patient . It will simulate the patient s
TMJ,masticatory muscles, mandibular ligaments, mandible and maxilla, and the complex
neuromuscular mechanism of mandibular movements. It will hold maxillary and mandibular casts in a
predetermined fixed relationship.

My High School Experience In My Middle School
As I exited middle school, it wasn t a smooth transition. In fact, it was more like the ending scene
from Titanic when everyone is jumping ship, hoping that they wouldn t die. Of course, I m over
exaggerating, but it felt exactly like that. I was Rose, a young Kate Winslet, clinging to a unhinged
door floating out to sea, praying for the best. I hoped, even prayed that high school would be better
than my middle school experience. That it would be better than getting beat up into corners and
getting called gay slurs. Now I don t want to write this essay, and have you feel bad for me. I m
completely fine. I transferred my self hate into eating chocolate covered almonds and peanut butter. I
m happy with myself, and that s all because of one experience from high school that changed my life.
Imagine me, a freshman in high school, walking to my third period for acting class. I kind of
resembled a mixture of Napoleon Dynamite and Patrick Star. I was so excited to finally do some
theatre. My middle school did not have a theatre department, so all the shows I did were community
run performances. I knew the drama department teacher personally before entering high school, and
he seemed incredibly nice and welcoming. This teacher was my third period, and I couldn t wait to
start class with him. Before I continue the story, I need to preface something. In television and movies,
there s always that one teacher that changes your life. For example, look at Glee. Mr. Schuester is the

The Baroque School Of French Organ
Introduction: Rarely in the documented history of music can we found a collection of compositions
more perfectly tied to an instrument, than that of the Baroque school of French organ composition.
Looking at the earliest examples of music from this period (which stem from even earlier vocal
polyphony), one will find forms and techniques indubitably connected to the organ. By the start of the
sixteenth century, the establishment of colloquial categories of organ composition, and independent
vocal forms, were finally acknowledged. For the following two centuries the technical progression of
the organ in conjunction with musical development, resulted in every stop on Baroque French organs
being given a standardised function. This function was almost always outlined at the beginning of a
score by the composer. Since medieval times French organ building has been well documented and
recorded. Later on, Marin Mersenne compiled a book that outlined music happenings in Paris,
Harmonie Universelle (1636), this book included French organ specifications and designs. Even from
the middle ages, French organs placed an emphasis on tone color. Early French organs had an array of
principals, mixtures and mutations, allowing for the creation of registrations such as Plein Jeu.
However, organs of this time (late 1500s) were restricted a lot by the available wind power (how fast
the boys in the basement could move the bellows!). Fortunately, as we come into the 1600s vast
strides were made in

addition, instead of briefly stating that some people died during this period, Didion clarifies the causes
of these tragedies, making a seeming connection between the deaths and Santa Ana. She also specifies
the crimes and accidents, using words like murdered , killed , shot , and injury (22). Such words
generate an terrifying and alarming image of Santa Ana. Furthermore, by listing a complete timeline
of big events, Didion makes the essay more informative and assertive. More importantly, instead of
simply listing events, Didion depicts the details of every event with her dramatic imagination so that
readers can have a explicit and vivid picture of what have happened. The abundant details embedded
in the factual evidence not only underlines the strength of Santa Ana, but also makes Didion s

product in comparison to the female gender. Over 50% of both genders have tried the product.
However, the fact that the percentage of males who tried the product is higher, suggests that gender
does play a role in whether the people will try the product. Yet the role genders play is small, because
the difference between the percentage of females who tried the product and males who tried the

The type of data itself is nominal not numerical. The income of both males and females is not as
accurate as we would like, because it has been collected within large income ranges, for example $0 to
$25,000. Therefore to use the data, midpoints must be found, doing this has caused the data to become
very general and does not show specifics on income levels per person. The incomes are shown on the
graph as midpoints which have a large range within them. This further shows that the information is
too general for many business applications and decision making. The graph has narrowed down the
five income midpoints of interest to three. These three income midpoints were $12,500 $37,500
$62,500. However exactly what income levels within these ranges have not been determined. This
means that the information is vague. The information would be more useful if specific income levels
and have tried frequencies per income were investigated. The graph would be more useful if it showed
actual income levels and numbers of people within that income level who had tried the product. It
only tells us the midpoint which has a large range and therefore, the information is quite general. This
information would be fine if we wanted to target general income groups but it would be insufficient if
we wanted to determine specific income levels who have tried the product, as we do not know what

The Pros And Cons Of Flag Burning
On August 22, 1984, Gregory Lee Johnson was arrested for setting the U.S. flag on fire. His simple act
of protest led to the Supreme Court ruling that flag burning is protected under the First Amendment as
free speech, thus overturning his conviction. The flag symbolizes freedom, and part of that freedom is
being able to express dissatisfaction with the government. However, some see flag burning not merely
as a demonstration of opinion, but as an attack on national unity and American values. Should it be
illegal to burn the U.S. flag as an form of protest, or is this method within the rights of American
citizens? Johnson set the stars and stripes ablaze at the 1984 Republican National Convention after

Concerning the outcome of Texas v. Johnson, Justice William Brennan delivered the opinion of the
court: If there is a bedrock principle underlying the First Amendment, it is that government may not
prohibit the expression of an idea simply because society finds the idea itself offensive or
disagreeable. Flag burning may be offensive to loyal Americans, but it is not threatening enough by
itself to justify punishment. Brennan also stated that we do not consecrate the flag by punishing its
desecration, for in so doing we dilute the the freedom that this cherished emblem represents. In
Johnson s case, the Supreme Court valued constitutional principles rather than patriotic preferences.
The Supreme Court s stance on flag burning has remained the same since. Nevertheless, thirty years
after United States v. Eichman, there is still controversy over whether or not it should be legal. A
recent example of the present discussion on flag burning is a tweet made by President Donald Trump
in 2016: Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag if they do, there must be consequences
perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail! However, without a reason to change the law besides
personal opinion, the Supreme Court is not likely to reverse their decision and make flag burning

The Jungle Book by Upton Sinclair
The Jungle by Upton Sinclair exemplifies a muckraking style in its often gory depictions of life in a
meat packing factory, Sinclair writes of how the meat packing industry exploits its workers, many of
whom are uneducated and poor in the same way a capitalist government exploits it s working class.
Sinclair uses Symbolism in terms of physical objects, Objects that serve a metaphorical purpose, and
oppressive tone, to persuade the reader that Capitalism leads to the declination and corruption of
America and that the only way to remedy this is socialistic government. Among the few things in The
Jungle that is referred to a symbol is the family house. The house is a symbolic object represents the

He views this as the way American capitalism has an attractive exterior to the incoming immigrants,
but in reality is as corrupt and rotten as the meat they [Americans] sell. The slaughterhouses of The
Jungle are not just convenient targets for Sinclair to expose to the public. They also serve as a larger
metaphor for how American business treats its laborers, by luring them into unsafe working conditions
and then consuming their dedication and strength just as they did to the livestock. In the novel,
Sinclair blames the mechanisms of capitalism on the tricks that the meatpackers use to sell spoiled and
contaminated meat. In an effort to squeeze every dime that they can out of the meat packing process,
the packers encourage short cuts and unsanitary conditions in order to avoid wasting money. The
workers are so abused themselves by the system that they do not have the power to change the
conditions of the factories, this causes the audience to empathize with the workers, empathy (and
disgust) is what triggered the major response of the public after this novel was published.
Sinclair starts an oppressive or an unsettling tone very early in the novel when Jurgis is getting a tour
of the meat packing factory and narrows into a very specific incident: These people could not be
shown to the visitor for the odor of the fertilizer man would scare

Night by Elie Wiesel and Hiroshima by John Hersey
Often, we find ourselves facing dramatic and even traumatic events in our lives that force us to re
think and redefine ourselves. These extraordinary circumstances test the human limits and push us into
making life altering decisions. It is at times like these that the humanity in us, our personalities, either
fall apart leaving us nothing but a hollow shell, or transforms into a stronger, evolved form gleaming
with compassion and self sacrifice. Night written by Elie Wiesel and Hiroshima written by John
Hersey portray how every day life might un expectantly change, how frail life really is, and how these
unexpected changes test what is inside us. Both books tell the tale of how lives of civilians were
interrupted by the events of World War II, what tragedies these people had to undergo, and how the
horrific circumstances of war were sometimes able to bring out the best in ordinary people.
In the book Hiroshima the author illustrates this city s most tragic point in history as well as its
residence s lives before, during, and after the horrific drop of the atomic bomb. The pain of over one
hundred thousand lives were compressed and expressed through six different stories told by this
reporter. The extreme range of direction their lives take can be seen by the contrasting examples
between Miss Toshiko Sasaki and Dr. Masakazu Fuji. Toshiko Sasaki began as a clerk before the
bombing happened; she was deeply into her family and even had a fiancé. On August 6th of 1945 the

The respiration rate of the goldfish is done through their gills where there is a collection of dissolved
oxygen from the water and a release of carbon dioxide (shmoop); this is a way for the organism to

The Negative Effects Of Unnatural Weather Change
The atmosphere on the Earth is evolving. Ice age is interleaved with the a worldwide temperature
alteration. In the present age, the temperature of the Earth s atmosphere framework proceed quickly

of progressive development of normal yearly temperature of the air of the Earth and World sea. The
normal temperature on the Earth was expanded by 0.6C. There are different reasons of a dangerous
atmospheric devation, for example, human exercises, regular occasions, expanding of gasses, for
example, carbon dioxide in air and sun oriented action. Almost 200 nations have marked Kyoto

Medical Malpractice
Medical Malpractice
The doctor patient relationship has been defined differently through the years. In the beginning it
developed into a common calling which meant doctors practiced medicine as a duty to their patients.
Laws were developed to protect patients, therefore doctors used proper care and expert skill. In the
past six centuries, medical malpractice has increased, which lead to revision and addition to the law.
Liability was introduced along with the GIANT of all torts , negligence. Now in today s society, a
doctor s duty is to use reasonable care, skill and judgment in the practice of his/her profession and
when negligent, take full responsibility. What is malpractice? Malpractice is negligence. Negligence ...

In cases like these the doctor is incredibly egotistical and is playing God.
Physicians
who ignore patient requests or fail to ask for consent only build communication barriers and ruin the
profession s reputation. Many people believe doctors are the real victims. They feel doctors are
confined from performing and medical students limit career options in fear of being sued. There are
some illegitimate and ungrateful citizens who insist on filing suits when doctors are not at fault. When
a family member dies, the loss may cause anger and looking for a doctor to sue seems like the right
thing to do. It is human nature to always look for a party at fault in any tragedy. Doctors fears of
malpractice awards also result in bad medical care. New procedures carry a higher risk of harm and
second guessing later, so doctors stick to conventional treatments, even in terminal cases, for fear the
treatment may hasten the patient s death. The opposite is also true, both overtesting and overtreating
are standard methods of beating malpractice suits. Thousands of unneeded surgeries are performed
each year. Expensive technology is regularly misused – CAT scans to diagnose simple headaches, for
example. Also, the few plaintiff s who win unrealistically high awards raise insurance costs for all

The Criminal Justice system has evolved heavily through the time where Criminal Justice was first

Sunken Treasure: United States v. Smiley
July 21st, 1862, the Golden Gate left San Francisco for Panama. On board was a secret treasure
amounting to $1,450,000. Three miles a half away from the Mexican Shore a fire broke, and went into
pieces just 250 ft. away. $1,200,000 were recovered in a port by Smiley and his associates, which he
gained license from Mexico to retrieve. Shippers and Smiley both disagreed about how the share of
the recovered treasure should be split. After distributed evenly, things remained calm, but later on,
March 1864, in the U.S. Circuit Court, Smiley was indicted for plundering and stealing the treasure
from the Golden Gate.

Many Americans consume thousands of pounds of genetically modified foods every day. Throughout
the 21st century, genetic engineering tremendously impacted new research in pharmaceutical and

around the world. Using Recombinant DNA biotechnology on crops and farm animals helps improve
nutrition and quantity of foods. However, crops that are altered with hybrid genes can also contain
chemicals harmful to humans. By using developed biotechnology, scientists are able to inject viruses

NYU Langone Medical Center, The parasite is around people at all the time. However, the parasite

from genetically modified foods is obesity. Obesity stems from an abnormal diet with high calorie
dense foods which results in above average body fat. It is associated with increased risk of disease
such as cardiovascular failure and liver cancer, disability and incapacitation from excess weight on the

Research Paper On Forest Fire
Air Quality with Forest Fires Since 1970, raging forest fires have doubled. Climate Central reports,
this is because of climate change which has brought hotter summers and longer fire seasons.
Throughout this paper, I will go over how forest fires are contributing to air pollution, ground ozone,
the impacts on humans, and the response to the problem. This is a problem that individuals can t help
but there are ways they can keep safe and stay healthy when forest fires arise in their areas. Naturally
occurring forest fires are a necessity for certain species like the lodgepole pine tree. Fire helps reduce
competition and help the species release its seeds. According to National Geographic, each year there
is an average of more than 100,000 forest fires that clear 4 million to 5 million acres of land in the
United States. Intense wildfires have been on the rise, increasing to 9 million acres of land due to
climate change, drought, and other conditions. These fires can damage forests so badly that it takes
years for them to naturally recover. Forest fires are caused when you have the fire triangle which is
fuel, oxygen, and a heat source. The more fuel, trees, grasses, and brush, the more intense the fire can
become. National Geographic states, the West is the most common place in the United States for forest
fires. Heat, drought, and frequent thunderstorms are the perfect environment for a forest fire to start.

Example Of A Teen Activist
Definition of an activist: a person who campaigns to bring about political or social change. Teen
activists are teenagers who decided to fight for what was right, and instead of waiting for someone to
take action, they did it themselves. Teen activists do work that takes up a lot of courage, time, and
money. Teen activists don t always come in the same path, some succeeding, others failing. Teens
become activists through different experiences: having a personal struggle, they are inspired by an
animal s struggle, or they read an article somebody struggling.
To start, many teens become activists from having a personal struggle. For example, one of the teens
that became an activist after having a personal struggle was Alex Libby. Alex Libby was getting
bullied constantly after he decided he had enough. According to Katie Couric from ABC News, Alex
was having a really hard time at school. Katie asked Alex how life was like everyday at school for
him. Alex said he was punched, shoved, and mocked almost every time somebody got the chance, but
he just thought to go along with it and not tell anyone. This shows that Alex had a personal struggle
for many years of his life. Another example of Alex struggling is in the documentary, Bully , where
Alex s mom asks, Does I make you feel good to be punched? To be shoved, stabbed, or mocked? Alex
replied wearily, No. I don t know. I don t feel anything anymore. This clearly demonstrates that Alex

Essay about The Impact of the Internet in America
The Impact of the Internet in America
The prevalence of the internet has had a tremendous impact on American society in terms of physical
health and emotional well being. In the following pages, I will attempt to briefly highlight some of the
positive and negative impacts I feel today s internet technology has had on people living in The United
States of America.
Public internet access can be found in most libraries or internet cafes. Internet Service Providers offer
access to individuals in their homes as well as schools and businesses. To begin with, I utilized a
popular website, Ask Jeeves http://ask.com, to help locate a definition of what exactly is the internet.

This type of information may be found on websites such as Web MD http://webmd.com, Medline
http://medlineplus.gov/, or Health Finder http://www.healthfinder.gov/. An individual can utilize the
information found on the previous pages to help determine if they should seek further care from their
physician. It is important to note that health information found on these pages is no substitute for a
thorough visit and diagnosis from a licensed physician, as stated in a typical medical information page

People can also find information on personal fitness (diet and exercise programs), and mental health
activities.
In another example of the positive impact of the internet is how health information access can affect
family life. For example, a parent of a child diagnosed with a learning disability can obtain special
education information from the internet. This type of information can be a valuable tool for parents,
other family members, and educators to help a child with a learning

Strategic Challenges For Local Communities
Strategic Challenges for Local Communities The Department of Homeland Security released the 2014
Quadrennial Homeland Security Review on June 18, 2014 as required by the Homeland Security Act
of 2002 and its amendments. This review outlined the current state of preparedness, as well as the
future areas of concentration. It also determined six strategic challenges facing the nation: terrorist
threat; growing cyber threats; biological concerns as a whole; nuclear terrorism; transnational criminal
organizations; and natural hazards. The basic building block of emergency management in the U.S. is
the local community. Each step begins here. Threat assessments are completed on the local level.
Planning, mitigation, and response are all responsibilities of the local community to support the state
and Federal practice using the guidance provided by both.
One of the best guidance documents for these communities is the Comprehensive Preparedness Guide
201 (CPG201). In this guide, communities will complete the Threat and Hazard Identification and
Risk Assessment. The THIRA has a detailed four step process in developing a robust Risk Assessment
to allow the community to develop its plans. The first step is to identify the threats and hazards of
concern to the community. Some of the challenges described by the Department of Homeland Security
may not be applicable to the community or may pose extremely limited threat. The second step in to
give the threats context which states how

Keep the juice on the skin for 10 minutes before rinsing it off with cool water. You can use other
juices but be sure they are diluted because they can result in a stinging sensation. Why do this work?
The juice works as an exfoliate and eliminates the dead skin tissue. Use red clover or dandelion

Forgiving Quality Of Lucy In C. S. Lewis
In the novel, C.S. Lewis first demonstrates the forgiving quality of Lucy in the very beginning where
she meets Mr. Tumnus. This is evident when Mr. Tumnus comes to the realisation that Lucy is the
Daughter of Eve and has not captured her but fraternized with her and invited her for tea. The author
expresses this through foreshadow in Lucy s response for Mr Tumnus s forgiveness Why of course I

Fast Cash Loans Vs Personal Loans
Four Things to Consider About Personal Loans Versus Other Fast Cash Loans
When people need fast cash, they often think about a payday loan, but personal loans can be approved
just a quickly from many lenders, and your bank account can be funded in a single day. But there are
many things to consider before applying for this type of loan. The following are four of them.
Your credit rating
Personal loans are usually unsecured, so a lender will want to look at your credit rating. Many lenders
will still lend money if your credit rating is not good, but there are limits to this. A recent bankruptcy,
for example, may make a loan difficult to obtain. Other than this, the better your credit rating is, the
better the interest rate will be, so if

The Positive Consequences Of Youth In Football
Imagine your son dashing into the kitchen as your eyes dart to meet his.His eyes evidently filled with
joy as a sincere smile begins to sneak onto his face. The excessive amount of words begin to spill
from his lips as he hands you a paper that reads Youth Football . Although some might altercate the
negatives associated with our youth participating in football such as injuries and behavioral changes,
studies show that children who participate in football benefit in their social lives. The positive
correlation between sports and my son s recreation will assemble a strong mindset, enforce
discipline,as well as building camaraderie.
According to the article, What Life Lesson Can Be Learned From Playing Football? The author Jobe
Lewis quotes, A player must endure scrutiny and constant evaluation . In other words, players are
exposed to direct helpful feedback from their peers and coaches to improve their performance both on
and off the field (Jobe Lewis). In addition the author also mentioned, Constant reevaluations fosters
growth and accountability (Jobe Lewis). By exposing young children to grasp the concept of
responsibility at such a young age, this will allow a child to acknowledge feedback which will
positively affect them in adulthood. Our children of today will become stronger mindset individuals
because of the constant exposure to feedback. Not only will this help our children on the field, but also
off the field. Various children do not seek feedback because they

The, Fables, And Fairy Tales With Human And Animal Characters
History has shown that people of different generations have conceived stories that highlight values
and moral lessons. In the form of parables, fables, and fairy tales with human and animal characters,
the stories aimed to help children and adult discern right actions from wrong. To this day, parents
continue to use these stories to convey ethical teachings. As a reflection of my past and appreciation of
my present as well as my positive outlook of the future, in this paper, I ponder about the stories my
parents imparted to me while at the same time, I express my appreciation by telling a story to my
children that I hope they would carry with them in their old age.

Not learning from the incident, Kenny kept tricking the villagers by always crying wolf even if there
was none. One day the wolf came, Kenny yelled at the top of lungs, but the village elders did not
come this time because they thought the boy is lying again. The wolf ate all the sheep and ran into the
forest and Kenny was left without a flock.
The story of the boy who cried wolf has taught me the importance of honesty. From childhood to
adulthood, in both my personal and professional lives, I have practiced honesty because a lie, more so,
repetitive lies can cause you to lose the trust of people around you. As one of the leaders in my work
place, the story reminds me that once the trust is loss, it is hard to gain it back.
For My Children
When I think of my children, I want to see things from their perspectives so that I can understand
them better. In this digital age, the easiest way to convey stories to them is through their gadgets. With
that in mind, I would like to teach my children importance of honesty the way my parents taught it to
me. So, here is the story.
Once upon a time, there was this boy name T.A. from an average family. T.A. s parents work in a farm
and they just earn enough for their basic needs. The family does not have extra money for the latest
toys and electronic gadgets. As a young boy, T.A. sometimes get envious of the other kids in the
community with new cellphones, tablets, and electric operated toys. Because his parents love T.A.

The Hero In Homer s The Epic Of Gilgamesh
The Epic of Gilgamesh is one of the oldest recorded stories in literature and was written between 2000
and 1400 B.C. The main protagonist, Gilgamesh, is two thirds human and one third god. Through his
search for obtaining everlasting life, he experiences several obstacles and constantly demonstrates
heroism, even when he s near death.
The Merriam Webster Online dictionary defines the term Hero as a person, typically male, who is
admired for brave acts or fine qualities. In this sense, being a hero means a person has conquered
several great challenges and exhibits great skill. Gilgamesh faces many scenarios to prove himself as a
hero. An important example is of him defeating the treacherous monster in the Cedar Forest,

He was willing to sacrifice his safety and immortality to benefit the people of Uruk. When he first
learned about the plant of eternal life, he wanted to give it to elderly people in the kingdom to prevent
them from dying. In other words, Gilgamesh sought wisdom and knowledge instead of power.
Gilgamesh became loyal and was willing to sacrifice his own life for other people. After his death, he
was celebrated for his heroic tribulations. In the text, it states, As in the dark month, the month of
shadows, so without him there is no light. O Gilgamesh, this was the meaning of your dream. You
were given the kingship... (114). Gilgamesh was the servant and protector of Uruk, without him the
city will not be the same. From his various voyages, he learned that his contributions to society were
key in creating an everlasting legacy. A hero is someone who cares about the status of his or her
community and is willing to sacrifice themselves for the greater

  • 2. Side Effects Of Anabolic Steroids nabolic steroids can have a lot of dangerous and less dangerous side effects. Many of them are reversible, ie the body goes back to its normal state after completion of the cure, but some are permanent and must be operated or you have to live with them throughout life. In the worst case, one can die. There are both physical and psychological side effects, where the mental effects are often underestimated. It is very important to understand that the physical side effects are nothing compared to the mental. There are also many ways to prevent and to prevent adverse physical outcomes. But the psychological damage is not something you can do to prevent. Most have mental side effects to a greater or lesser degree. Begins with anabolic steroids ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Cub The Most Beautiful Thing Human Eyes Cuba How would you like to travel to the wonderful country of Cuba? Christopher Columbus described it as the most beautiful thing human eyes have ever seen! Along with its rich culture, Cuba also has an aggressive history, flat geography, harsh government, rich culture, and a poor economy. First, Cuba is known for having an aggressive history. During Cuba s beginning, Christopher Columbus landed in Cuba in 1492. Many years later there was a measles outbreak in 1529 which killed most of the population at that time. A few hundred years later, Carlos Manuel de Cespedes led a rebellion to free Cuba in 1868. In 1898 Spain and the U.S. sign the treaty of Paris. In addition to Cuba s formative years, it has several newsworthy events. Cuba fought many wars like the ten years wars in 1868 1880 and the Little War in 1879 1880. In 1875 Cuba ended slavery. Thereafter, Cuba fought for their independence against Spain in 1895 1898. On October 13th, 1910 a horrible hurricane called the Cyclone of the Five Days, hit the country, and nine hundred people died. Cuba suffered against another hurricane, Hurricane Flora in 1963 were 1,000 Cubans lost their lives. In 1956, Fidel Castro Ruz launched a revolution from the Sierra Maestra mountains. The U.S. ended military help to Cuba in 1958, and on New Year s Day 1959, Batista fled into exile and Castro took over the government. During Fidel Castro s presidency, Cuba did well in the Olympics. • 4. The Importance Of Exceptive Leadership Society benefits from effective leadership. However, effective leadership is not inherent to most people and requires development. As Ross Perot states Lead and inspire people...Inventories can be managed but people must be lead (Anderson, 2013). Exceptional leadership goes beyond a role of power. James Hunter writes in his successful book The Servant, that leadership is influence and all people are capable of leadership by the influence that they transmit into the world (2012). The role of doctoral prepared nurse practitioners extends beyond the confine of employee. The expanse of the nurse practitioner role includes leadership within the clinical, community, and national setting. As Hunter proclaims, everyone is a leader, including nurses. Therefore, it is imperative that nurses are the exceptional leaders that society benefits from. The following is a compendium of leadership topics valuable to building awareness and competency as a nurse leader. The intention for this compendium is for the author to demonstrate understanding of the eleven identified leadership topics by review of the literature. This paper will explore the many facets of leadership and their applications with a focus on the nurse practitioner role. Critical points of leadership skills, qualities, and challenges will be examined for each topic. Organizational Climate and Culture A primary contribution of leadership is the external in internal environment that it creates. Climate and culture are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Film Analysis Of Elmer Rice s The Adding Machine Elmer Rice s production, The Adding Machine, portrays the story of Mr. Zero, an accountant, who has recently been fired from his position as a bookkeeper after nearly twenty five years of consecutive work. His removal is marked by the introduction of an adding machine that has the appropriate means to accomplish the necessary tasks without human interference. As a result of being replaced, an angry Mr. Zero murders his boss, Mr. Smith, and thus begins the execution process in which Mr. Zero is transported to a heaven like state where he meets Shrdlu and is then reincarnated to begin a new life. This production is an authentic example of expressionism as exemplified by the process of a spiritual awakening and the exploration of failed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thus, the women were clad in button down blouses tucked into pencil skirts and the men were clothed in button up shirts and dress pants. This overall minimalistic aesthetic was evident in every aspect of the performance and emphasized the idea of uniformity and conformity that was present in American society during this time period. The cast was composed of fifteen actors, in which some of the actors performed multiple characters such as Ayla Sullivan who portrayed Daisy and Mrs. Seven or Brendan Lynch who took on the role of Shrdlu and Mr. Four. Each performer delivered dialogue with an intense conviction and sharpness. This intensity was only magnified when the ensemble delivered their lines together loudly and articulately. The choreography was also synchronized and intricately placed to symbolize how a machine functions and reinforce this idea of a mechanized, industrial society that has robbed each worker of their humanity, more explicitly their individualistic personalities. Although there were several characters present, the absence of individualism was further depicted through the sequenced names of Zero, One, Two Three, Four, Five, Six in ascending order, the homogenous clothing, and the expressionless, serious countenance each character possessed. Personally, I thought this play was difficult to follow as the storytelling seemed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Christianity Dominates American Society And Children Essay Christianity dominates American society, and due to this any sort of religious rebellion is automatically seen as hearsay and blasphemy that poisons our society and children. While in the college setting we try to be more open to other ideas, people still look down on alternate religions as the wrong way. As for the Satanist church, they re seen as downright evil, certainly a popular misconception in our culture. When LaVey started the Temple of Satan in the 1960 s, he was poking fun at our uptight Christian society (Urban, 170.) Modern LaVey Satanism is a mixture between serious ritual and satire, resulting in a strange community and an even more passionate following. Throughout our class, we have been learning about what makes a religion a religion, the people involved, and the culture that relates to its very core. Satanism as a whole is partially religious, and partially atheist. Nevertheless, this community is fighting for representation in the media, in schools, and in the community as much as the next religion. Satanism is pushing against the dominant religion, and in doing so, opening the floodgates for itself as well as other religious groups for their right to religious freedoms in the United States. In my paper, I will discuss various branches of Satanism, with a focus on the Satanic Temple s movement and it s fame and reception in today s media. From a modern Christian perspective, Satan is a representation of worship of all things evil. However, modern ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Implementing A New Communication Record For Tracking... Assessment of Problem: Clearly describe the problem in your work unit and your plan to solve the problem. The problem within the work unit is that we tend to be complacent and sees things as they are and not as they could be. The Agency s mission is To responsibly provide access to quality health coverage for vulnerable Mississippians. In order to accurately carry out this mission, the Office of Appeals needs to aggressively keep up with advances in technology (i.e. computer application and software), and eagerly embrace new found ways of ensuring that our clients receive information and assistance as quick and efficiently as possible. My plan to solve this problem is to create, and then recommend implementing a new communication record for tracking beneficiaries and clients request for a state eligibility hearing. Each record will be assigned an appeal number that would allow us to track the case from receipt through resolution. To date, the Office of Appeals is utilizing an Excel spreadsheet to record and track incoming requests (See Attachment I). The spreadsheet displays data in text and numbers, which allows sorting and calculations. The problem with the spreadsheet is it does not effectively provide electronic tracking of incoming eligibility appeal requests from the Agency s thirty (30) regional offices. Also, the problem is that the spreadsheet does not allow space for more specific data to be entered that is considered pertinent to the case (See Attachment ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. The Strength Of Apple. “Apple Had Always Been ‘Different’ The Strength of Apple Apple had always been different and what drove it never changed (Segall 88) Apple is arguably the most influential and disruptive technology company on the global scale. Founded on April 1st 1976 in Cupertino California as Apple Computer Inc., Apple has had its fair share of challenges and failures over the past 41 years but has become a behemoth of a technology company over the last ten years or so, amassing gross amounts of success (Rawlinson). The question is how; how did a small company started in a garage become so prosperous and how have they made the competition, namely Microsoft and Samsung, almost irrelevant. The answer is multi faceted. Obviously, timing plays a huge role in circumstances such as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Apple I was a groundbreaking product for its time because all it required was a keyboard and a monitor, other companies needed extra circuitry to display text making the Apple I more enticing. While there were 200 Apple I computers produced, a significant amount for the time, Apple s success really began with the Apple II (Rawlinson). The Apple II was a true innovation for its time and completely revolutionized the computer market. However, it was not the Apple II itself that was amazing even though it had color graphics and a very high resolution for its time; it was what you could do with the computer that garnered so much interest, especially from businesses (Rawlinson). Dan Bricklin, a Harvard Business School student saw that he could create and run a program on the Apple II that could do a few different types of calculations we know this today as a spreadsheet. The program or app, named VisiCalc, solidified Apple s place in the computer and technology industry (Rawlinson). After the Apple II came the Macintosh and then came the iMac. The iMac was a design of beauty on the shelves next to the beige computers that dominated the market back then, the teal iMac, with its cutecircular mouse and translucent body, stood out (The Apple Revolution). Apple did what none of the other companies were doing at the time, they found ways to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Second in the statistic is Poland, who only has about 30,000 teenage births in a year. When the topic of sex arises, people become uncomfortable because it is a subject that is thought of as personal and secretive. However, people aren t only uncomfortable with the subject because of it being taboo, people try to avoid the subject because they aren t always informed correctly about it and don t have a way to learn about it, excluding the internet which doesn t always have accurate material, and lack general knowledge of sex. Parents want to teach their offspring about sex at home, because they feel like they can provide what they feel is age appropriate material to their offspring. However, if we rely on parents to teach their children about sex, how do we prove that their information is age appropriate or credible? Personal beliefs might be added into the information and can exclude certain subjects like what to do if you are having consensual sex before marriage. Certain beliefs people follow, such as Catholics, don t teach the subject of contraception to girls ( Madison ). If we teach sex and its related topics that have been proven as medically accurate at a suitable time for adolescents, they can grow to think of it not as a controversial subject and can freely speak of the correct information they learned. Teenagers who don t get medically accurate information can become liable for their actions which they were not properly taught the consequences of earlier. When you don t teach a female accurate information about sex, they are risking the chance of getting pregnant because of the material that she was taught. • 10. Types Of Missing Teeth And Fabrication Of Partial Or... Types of articulators OCLS 223 Prepared by: Meghetie Ketchedjian 201500949 Fall 2015 2016 Articulators Restoration of missing teeth, and fabrication of partial or complete dentures is the main objective of prosthodontics. However, in order to accomplish the task, the occlusion of the patient is necessary to be able to fabricate a successful prosthesis that suits him/her best. Since keeping him/her attached to the dental chair is not possible every time a record is needed, a device that could represent the patient was crucial. That s how in the 19th century the concept of the articulator was given birth, and the first articulator was fabricated. Definition: An articulator is a mechanical device that mimics and represents the TMJ and jaw members where maxillary and mandibular casts will be attached to reproduce mandibular position and motions. An articulator can simulate mandibular movements, but it cannot duplicate all the possible movements. It can only be adjusted to simulate border movements, within which our chewing occurs. Purpose behind the use of an articulator: The main function of an articulator is to act as the patient in the absence of the patient . It will simulate the patient s TMJ,masticatory muscles, mandibular ligaments, mandible and maxilla, and the complex neuromuscular mechanism of mandibular movements. It will hold maxillary and mandibular casts in a predetermined fixed relationship. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In fact, it was more like the ending scene from Titanic when everyone is jumping ship, hoping that they wouldn t die. Of course, I m over exaggerating, but it felt exactly like that. I was Rose, a young Kate Winslet, clinging to a unhinged door floating out to sea, praying for the best. I hoped, even prayed that high school would be better than my middle school experience. That it would be better than getting beat up into corners and getting called gay slurs. Now I don t want to write this essay, and have you feel bad for me. I m completely fine. I transferred my self hate into eating chocolate covered almonds and peanut butter. I m happy with myself, and that s all because of one experience from high school that changed my life. Imagine me, a freshman in high school, walking to my third period for acting class. I kind of resembled a mixture of Napoleon Dynamite and Patrick Star. I was so excited to finally do some theatre. My middle school did not have a theatre department, so all the shows I did were community run performances. I knew the drama department teacher personally before entering high school, and he seemed incredibly nice and welcoming. This teacher was my third period, and I couldn t wait to start class with him. Before I continue the story, I need to preface something. In television and movies, there s always that one teacher that changes your life. For example, look at Glee. Mr. Schuester is the ... The McCone Commission found that people rioted because of unemployment, bad schools and education, and prior instances of police brutality (www.southcentralhistory.com). A second outcome following was an independent commission, chaired by former Illinois Gov. Otto Kerner, that investigated the causes of the rioting. The Kerner Commission issued its landmark report in 1968, concluding: Our nation is moving toward two societies, one black, one white separate and unequal (www.cnn.com). Another major outcome was the creation of SWAT teams. They were created with the vision of three police officers: Officer Nelson, who originally came up with the concept of a specially equipped and highly trained unit, Inspector Gates, who spear headed the push to make it happen and Ed Davis had the foresight to approve the program. • 19. The Baroque School Of French Organ Introduction: Rarely in the documented history of music can we found a collection of compositions more perfectly tied to an instrument, than that of the Baroque school of French organ composition. Looking at the earliest examples of music from this period (which stem from even earlier vocal polyphony), one will find forms and techniques indubitably connected to the organ. By the start of the sixteenth century, the establishment of colloquial categories of organ composition, and independent vocal forms, were finally acknowledged. For the following two centuries the technical progression of the organ in conjunction with musical development, resulted in every stop on Baroque French organs being given a standardised function. This function was almost always outlined at the beginning of a score by the composer. Since medieval times French organ building has been well documented and recorded. Later on, Marin Mersenne compiled a book that outlined music happenings in Paris, Harmonie Universelle (1636), this book included French organ specifications and designs. Even from the middle ages, French organs placed an emphasis on tone color. Early French organs had an array of principals, mixtures and mutations, allowing for the creation of registrations such as Plein Jeu. However, organs of this time (late 1500s) were restricted a lot by the available wind power (how fast the boys in the basement could move the bellows!). The type of data itself is nominal not numerical. The income of both males and females is not as accurate as we would like, because it has been collected within large income ranges, for example $0 to $25,000. Therefore to use the data, midpoints must be found, doing this has caused the data to become very general and does not show specifics on income levels per person. The incomes are shown on the graph as midpoints which have a large range within them. This further shows that the information is too general for many business applications and decision making. The graph has narrowed down the five income midpoints of interest to three. These three income midpoints were $12,500 $37,500 $62,500. However exactly what income levels within these ranges have not been determined. This means that the information is vague. The information would be more useful if specific income levels and have tried frequencies per income were investigated. The graph would be more useful if it showed actual income levels and numbers of people within that income level who had tried the product. It only tells us the midpoint which has a large range and therefore, the information is quite general. Johnson, Justice William Brennan delivered the opinion of the court: If there is a bedrock principle underlying the First Amendment, it is that government may not prohibit the expression of an idea simply because society finds the idea itself offensive or disagreeable. Brennan also stated that we do not consecrate the flag by punishing its desecration, for in so doing we dilute the the freedom that this cherished emblem represents. In Johnson s case, the Supreme Court valued constitutional principles rather than patriotic preferences. The Supreme Court s stance on flag burning has remained the same since. Nevertheless, thirty years after United States v. Eichman, there is still controversy over whether or not it should be legal. Sinclair uses Symbolism in terms of physical objects, Objects that serve a metaphorical purpose, and oppressive tone, to persuade the reader that Capitalism leads to the declination and corruption of America and that the only way to remedy this is socialistic government. He views this as the way American capitalism has an attractive exterior to the incoming immigrants, but in reality is as corrupt and rotten as the meat they [Americans] sell. The slaughterhouses of The Jungle are not just convenient targets for Sinclair to expose to the public. They also serve as a larger metaphor for how American business treats its laborers, by luring them into unsafe working conditions and then consuming their dedication and strength just as they did to the livestock. In the novel, Sinclair blames the mechanisms of capitalism on the tricks that the meatpackers use to sell spoiled and contaminated meat. In an effort to squeeze every dime that they can out of the meat packing process, the packers encourage short cuts and unsanitary conditions in order to avoid wasting money. The workers are so abused themselves by the system that they do not have the power to change the conditions of the factories, this causes the audience to empathize with the workers, empathy (and disgust) is what triggered the major response of the public after this novel was published.
