Marx s Theory of History Essay
Marx s Theory of History
The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles. This crucial opening to
The Communist Manifesto holds the key to understanding Karl Marx s conception of history. Marx
outlines history as a two dimensional, linear chain of events. A constant progression of class
divisions being created and overthrown, one after the other, until the result is the utopian endpoint,
otherwise known as communism. Karl Marx, in writing the Communist Manifesto, argued that
human history unfolds in a teleological manner; therefore it unfolds according to a distinct series of
historical stages, each necessarily following the other. These stages ultimately lead to a given

According to Marx s account of history, every class is naturally unsound, and predestined for
ultimate destruction due to its internal discrepancies. They will then bring rise to a new class,
which has settled the discrepancies of its precursor but retains it own, which will cause its eventual
passing.
In more specific terms, Marx sketches the development of the capitalist bourgeoisie society from
feudal society.
From the surfs of the middle ages sprang the chartered burghers of the earliest towns. From these
burgesses the first elements of the bourgeoisie were developed. (56)
So Serfs gave rise to burghers who formed the beginnings of the new bourgeois class. The
beginnings of European trade with America and the Far East contributed to the rapid development
of the revolutionary element in the tottering feudal society (56). New markets, which became
unable to be supported by the feudal systems means of production, caused that system to be
replaced by the manufacturing system #8230;. The guild masters were pushed aside by the
manufacturing middle class; division of labor between the different corporate guilds vanished in
the face of division of labor in a single workshop. (56)
And, so, by an inevitable historical process, the modern bourgeoisie is itself the product of a long
course of development, of a series of revolutions in the modes of production and of exchange. (57)
And each of these has been accompanied by a corresponding

Eassy On Bangladesh Rivers Or, The Rivers Of Bangladesh
Short Essay on Bangladesh Rivers Or, The Rivers of Bangladesh
Bangladesh is a land of rivers. The economic condition of Bangladesh is mostly connected with
her rivers. The rivers of Bangladesh are undoubtedly wide. But they shrink in size for
insufficiency of wither in dry seasons. With the heavy rainfall in the rainy season they become full
to the brim and look terrible. The Padma, the meghna, the jamuna and the karnaphuli are the
principal rivers of Bangladesh. Besides there s, there are other small rivers of no less importance.
All three rivers flowing through different districts of Bangladesh fall into the Bay of Bengal. In the
rainy season these rivers swell to the brim and sometimes overflow their banks and inundate the
adjoining fields. They then look like the vast sheet of water all around. Bangladesh is an
agricultural country. Her river makes her soil fertile by depositions the silt carried by them of
the land. Paddy and jute are the main crops of Bangladesh. Irrigation is essential for the bumper
growth of these crops. So the water of these rivers is used for the purpose of irrigation by means
of power pumps or by digging canals. It is, therefore, evident that the economic condition of the
cultivators largely depends on rivers. Many kinds of fish are around in the rivers of Bangladesh.
These rivers are an inexhaustible source of supply of fish to her people. The fisherman of
Bangladesh earns their livelihood by fishing in these rivers. They are entirely dependent

The Importance Of Objectivity In Art
As Gombrich describes, objectivity is the ability to represent something exactly as it is seen in
nature without any influence. According to Gombrich, the objectivity of the representation in a
work of art does not define how correct or real the art is. On the contrary, realism is defined by the
information conveyed from the art. If the information is correct, the work is realistic. Gombrich
believes this because there are multiple limits to representing objectively. One of the most
prominent limits is style because as much as any artist would like to recreate nature objectively,
style overrules. Every artist has a unique temperament which is represented in their work, making it
a limit to representing an objectobjectively. Furthermore, the style itself is a limit to objectivity
as well. Style includes but is not limited to the method of recreation or technique. The choice of
technique restricts the artist freedom of choice as the artist can only render what his technique is
capable of rendering. Not only is the limit to objectivity seen in the work of art itself, but it is
also present in viewing nature itself with the eyes. The artist will see certain aspects of nature that
others will not see based on his technique. For example, an artist drawing a scene will focus on the
scene in terms of lines. Another limit to objectivity is the preference of an artist. An artist will only
paint what he likes, which is what he can paint.
Answer 2:
I agree with all of Gombrich s

Essay On The EU As A Promoter Of Preventative Criminal...
In the article, the EU as a Promoter of Preventative Criminal Justice and the Internal Security
Context, Ester Herlin Karnell argues that the European Union (EU) has drifted from the objectives
of the first implementation of the European Area of Freedom, Security, and Justice (AFSJ). The
AFSJ was originally created to promote general EU values such as human rights. However, Herlin
Karnell states that the broad objectives and focus on ensuring a high level of security have left the
AFSJ to focus solely on security while abandoning freedom and justice.
The author discusses the problems of a blurred distinction of internal and external security. As the
world has become more globalized, complex issues that cross both internal and external ... Show

Three examples are used which show that the broad language used to set up the AFSJ and its focus
on security, have blurred the division between internal and external security. In each of the
examples, money laundering, intelligence, and cybercrime, the EU itself has justified its right to
police these areas using broad definitions in regulations. The author argues that security is too broad
and any situation could be morphed to fit under that large umbrella. Further focus on security
without concern for justice and freedom (the other tenants of the AFSJ) in the author s view, has the
potential to undermine the legitimacy of the union, the system, and the stated goals of justice and
human rights (Herlin Karnell, 2016).
Upon first reading it becomes clear that Herlin Karnell is writing to an audience with a thorough
understanding of the EU and its structure. This results in undefined terms and assumptions about
the bloc as a whole. An individual without a baseline knowledge of the EU would have some
difficulty determining the meaning of some terms and concepts based solely on the writing at
hand. The context of these assumptions is given more justice when we consider that Herlin
Karnell is a professor of law in the Netherlands. An example of undefined terminology that might
bring confusion to the reader is risk based approach and pillar structure found on page 217 (Herlin
Karnell, 2016). These

Hassan Rouhani Research Paper
As the seventh president of Iran, Hassan Rouhani has improved his country and the world. His
personal life helped shaped the person he is today. He is very influential compared to other
world leaders such as Joko Widodo. On 12 November 1948, in Sorken, Semnan Province, Iran,
Hassan Fereydoun was born into a religious family.Hassan attended a religious school in 1960
and later changed his last name to Rouhani. In 1972, he received a B.A. Degree in Judicial Law
from the University of Tehran and in 1973 he entered military service in Nishapur. In 1995, after
continuing his studies at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland, he received an M.Phil

The innate immune system has been selected to respond to foreign proteins, the presence of foreign
epitopes, adjuvant like contaminants, and/or impurities such as endotoxins [35]. However, because
these agents are absent in proteins produced by human cells, such proteins are generally tolerated
by the human immune system [36].Nevertheless, aggregation of human origin proteins may induce
an immune response [37]. Furthermore, due to its complexity, the process or degree of protein
aggregation is unpredictable [38]. In order to minimize the likelihood of immune response,
therefore, the protocol to produce our fusion protein takes into consideration the following,
significant elements: (1) sequence optimization to avoid the epitope recognition by T cells; (2) use
of human cells for protein expression; and, (3) endotoxin free

Counselling Skills
Evaluate and monitor self in using a counselling approach.
People who experience troubles can receive help for their problems in both formal and informal
ways. An informal helping relationship can be as simple as a chat with a friend while offering
advice and support. The counselling approach differs considerably form formal counselling which
this essay will discuss.
An informal helping relationship may involve counselling skills such as displaying good eye
contact and body language, listening, summarising and paraphrasing but this does not in any way
mean they are a trained counsellor. Formal counselling will involve the counsellor, who is formally
trained, and the client where the sole purpose of the meeting is counselling. The ... Show more

aware of the importance in having these guidelines in place. A client is more inclined to feel free
to talk when they know that what they say will not be disclosed and this should encourage a safe
feeling for them. At the start of the course a working agreement was decided and agreed by the
class. This agreement stated that we should respect and be respected, have the right to be
supported, the right to have fun and most importantly confidentiality. This allowed the class to feel
safe to disclose information that may be of a personal nature. I think that this agreement has been
followed and I do feel safer knowing it is in place especially during the triad exercises.
Many helping relationships occur in everyday life and this course has allowed me to understand
the difference between formal counselling and a counselling approach. I think I have become more
self aware and realise that I am slightly guarded, especially with certain people in my life. The
triad exercises made me quite anxious initially but feel as I gain more experience I am becoming
more comfortable during the sessions. The feedback I have received has been helpful and I do try

Where Angels Fear to Tread, by E.M. Forster
Fools rush in where angels fear to tread, is a saying is commonly used to emphasize how
ignorance can result in decisions that lead to unfavorable situations. Likewise, in Where Angels
Fear to Tread, Edward Morgan Forster uses irony, point of view, and satire to effectively emphasize
how stereotypes, prejudices, misunderstanding of cultural differences, and hypocrisy could lead to
unfavorable circumstances. Where Angels Fear to Treadbegins as a light and comedic novel but
later develops to become more dense and tragic.
The novel starts off in a train station in England where a widow named Lilia Herriton prepares to
leave on a trip to the fictional Italian town of Monteriano. Her mother in law, Mrs. Herriton, and her
two children, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Forster also uses satire to criticize the emphasis placed on class and cultural differences by the
Herritons and other citizens of Sawston, England. Mrs. Herriton, after hearing of Lilia s
engagement, sends Philip to break up the engagement, not because she wanted to protect Lilia, but
because she wanted to protect her own social status which would be tarnished if Lilia were to
marry an unemployed foreigner. Forster also uses the story of the Italian saint, Santa Deodata to
satirize the behavior of the Herritons. Santa Deodata s story is shown in the following excerpt:
So holy was she that all her life she lay upon her back in the house of her mother, refusing to eat,
refusing to play, refusing to work. The devil, envious of such sanctity, tempted her in various
ways...When all proved vain, he tripped up the mother and flung her downstairs before her very
eyes. But so holy was the saint that she never picked her mother up, but lay upon her back through
all, and thus assured her throne in Paradise. (Forster, 396)
This story of a girl who lacked concern for her mother is used to criticize the Herritons and other
English people lack love for their family and place social status and formal convention over their
own relatives.
The use of these literary devices in the novel was effective in placing emphasis on the key

Education Is The Best For My Life
There are an infinite amount of professions in the world, ranging from neurosurgeons, to taxi
drivers, to chefs. The ultimate goal is to choose the one profession that is the best suited for you
and will result in a happy, comfortable lifestyle. In the process of deciding what I wanted to do
for the rest of my life, I ran into a seemingly large problem; I changed my mind every day. I soon
realized, that it was normal for a teenager to change their mind all the time. This is because we are
still learning. As we grow and learn new things, our interests and personalities change accordingly.
We learn what we really enjoy as well as things that we don t enjoy so much. Educationis what
shapes us into who we are today. However, education does not end when we graduate from high
schoolor college. In fact, education never ends at all. For every second that our heart is beating,
our brains are learning. Upon realizing what a significant role education plays in our lives, I
decided that I want to spend the rest of my life in the classroom, educating and influencing the
lives of young children. It is commonly said that we are a product of our environment. If there is
any truth to this statement, then my decision was definitely the right decision. Most children walk
into a classroom and feel intimidated or out of place, but this has never been the case for me.
Since I can remember, I have felt a sense of comfort in the classroom setting. With my mother being

Self efficacy One s belief in the likelihood of goal completion can be motivating in itself (Van der

Values And Values Of The Music
Beliefs and values of oneself in music are essential to determining future musical decisions. A
students self efficacy can be highly predictive in determining levels of performance achievement
(Lehmann, Sloboda, Woody, 2007). Secondary music students who want to be quality musicians
build a system of dispositions, skills, and abilities that enable them to self regulate their learning
(Hewitt, 2015). These students generally have greater self efficacy and are more likely to engage
themselves in meaningful musical experiences to produce the best results (Hewitt, 2015). Helping
students build positive self efficacy is an important area of interest for musicteachers. Oftentimes,
music students spend significant time practicing away from direct instruction or influence of their
teachers, meaning that self regulation plays a crucial role in music learning (Miksza, 2012). This
paper will address important factors like gender, examinations, and competition, and how these
factors affect a student building self efficacy in secondary music.
Effects of Gender There are many factors involved in creating musical self efficacy, and researchers
have noted that gender is among the most influential. Nielsen (2004) found that male students were
more likely to have higher self efficacy than female students in similar musical programs. He
administered a 50 item questionnaire to 130 first year music students in church music, performance,
and music education programs at six Norwegian

The Role Of Active Faults On Fracture Development
The third order fracture distribution is strongly dependent on the lithofacies architecture, especially
the distribution of bedding plane discontinuities. Fractures in stratified parts of the sequence form a
nested structure with a high degree of mechanical units at the scale of individual sedimentary beds.
In more homogeneous rocks, a widely spaced background network of lithology irrelevant fractures
is overprinted by more densely spaced fractures terminating at significant mechanical decoupling
surfaces.
Relationships between fracture stratigraphy and stratigraphic fracture development controls for
different scale ranges as formalized in the hierarchical fracture model for the Petra case study can be
used to provide constraints for nested fractured reservoir models. This methodology can help
determine an appropriate homogenization scale for geo cellular fracture models, improve the
prediction of the discrete sub seismic fracture distribution compared to conventional down scaling
techniques and improve the constraints of stratigraphic control on wellbore up scaling. This
procedure becomes increasingly more powerful when combined with the effects of other important
development controls, such as the influence of active faults on fracture development.

Australian Urbanisation Early 1900 s
The process of urbanisation is a central feature of Australian history. By 1900 over two thirds of
Australians were living in areas that were classified as urban. The growth of these cities was
encouraged by various factors; the interaction and engagement of economic, demographic, political
and social characteristics are definitely the key features that promoted the urbanisation of Australia.
However, with the development of Australia came problems that people living in cities had to
face. Environmental and health difficulties were to be over come in the city suburbs while
economic depression followed after a period of prosperity and progress.

Unlike in Britain, urbanisation had stimulated the growth of industrialisation.
By the nineteenth century, Australia had a relatively affluent, well housed, well fed and a healthy
population. The first increase in population occurred in 1830 when a bounty system, to catch
escaped convicts, was introduced and immigration was assisted on a large scale. During the 1850 s
the gold rushes bought the next influx of immigrants and Australia s population more than doubled
over a period of ten years. In this time before 1860, population grew largely due to immigration
rather than natural increase. In most urban areas a higher rate of population or an increasing degree
of urbanisation may be gained through natural increase, from immigration or a sizeable movement
from rural to urban areas. In Australia it was a merging of these three factors that encouraged
urbanisation. Yet, over seas migration was the most important source of Australian metropolitan
population growth, followed closely by natural increase. Rural to urban drift of population was
much less important, except during the post gold rush periods. The demographic variables such as
age structure, fertility, mortality, and marriage rates were also of considerable economic, social and
political significance, advancing

Jesus Christ As The Center Of Discipleship
When someone think about Jesus Christ being the center of discipleship there are two things that
comes to mind; change and commitment within the disciple. One day Jesus Christ was walking

Putman, Harrington, and Coleman in the text book Disciple Shift. The text breaks Matthew 4:19

Obedience is defined as defined by the American Heritage College thesaurus, The quality, state,

Is Aeneas An Epic Hero Essay
The Aeneid by Virgil is a story about true heroism in times of war. Wars have always offered many
opportunities for heroes to prove themselves. Most of the characters in the Aeneid are seen entering
the war enthusiastically in the hope of honoring and glorifying their names. However, Aeneas
demonstrates heightened responsibility toward the people he leads. At no point does he show
selfishness in the wish for his name to be glorified and honored at death. In essence, Aeneasis
committed to the destiny of his people. This uniqueness makes Aeneas an epic herounlike previous
heroes such as Odysseus. Aeneas is duty bound and he follows nothing but fate. Consequently,
he is prepared to suffer any loss or harm as long as he reaches where fate directs him to go.
Aeneas is an epic hero because he is a dutiful servant to fate, he performs his duties patriotically,
his instills confidence in his people, and he is highly responsible for his family and his people.
Aeneas is focused on his goal throughout because he knows he is fate s dutiful servant. This
aspect readily comes out in his description as a man apart, devoted to his mission, a dedicated man.
In addition, Aeneas tells his loved one Dido that his duties are supreme to any other affair he might
be having. Aside from commitment to duty, Aeneas faces stiff opposition and enmity but he does
not lose faith on his fate (Griffith 309). His faith gains momentum when he sees the beautiful
temple Dido constructs for Juno.

Speed Limits Of The Transport Industry
Speed limit in the transport industry is not a new phenomenon, and they are laws and by laws
that limit the speed of vehicles at a specific stretch of roads. Majority of countries around the
world have speed limits on all roads or on specific roads. Moreover, majority of the speed limit
rules apply in populous areas such as urban centers and residential areas. Other speed limits
might also apply in some regions with higher population of animals along the roads. Road signs
are used to indicate speed limits. In some cases, the speed limit law or by laws is not strict
(Lund, 2007). There are many reasons why speed limits can be necessary in Halifax region, and
there are many reasons why it makes sense to implement speed limits is because they have worked
in other cities and nations. Otherwise, the most important impact is the significant reduction in road
accident as a result of speed limits. Speed limits have existed since the steam engine error in the
19th century where the United Kingdom set the maximum speed at 10 kilometers per hour.
However, it is important to note that the reasoning behind the speed limit could have been different
from the modern speed limits reasoning. In the 19th century, technology advancement in the
transport industry was at infant stages, therefore, the lawmaker could not image a huge machine
traveling at a relatively high speed. This means that a speed of 10 kilometer per hour could be a
low speed when modern technology is considered, but could be

Market Value Analysis Of Local Real Estate Broker
The market value analysis will be either an appraisal by a member of the Appraisal Institute,
opinion(s) of local real estate broker(s), analysis by the General Partner, or some combination of
these. We anticipate that most Loans will be secured by improved or unimproved real property
with respect to which the borrower intends to effect a change in use. The market value analysis
for such properties will usually be supported by a third party appraisal prepared on an as
completed basis (i.e., an appraisal based on the assumption that the intended improvements will be
completed). The market value analysis may also assume that all public improvements will be
completed as proposed and that the property will be marketed and sold in the manner planned by
the Borrower.
Finally, the foregoing loan to value ratios may not apply to purchase money financing offered by

absolute discretion accept any reasonable financing terms that it deems to be in our best interests.

The Growth Of Technology In The 21st Century
The Growth of Technology in the 21st Century and What It Stands For
Technology is continuously advancing in the 21st century, where medical research is being put into
practice, cars being modified to help reduce carbon emissions, and so on, all due to the constant
upgrades in technology. With it constantly advancing as time goes on, so has society and the people
that has lived in it, their lifestyles constantly changing in relation to how technology is changing,
with many benefits that are yielded from it, alongside with the negatives that can bring the society
down. Modern technology has made complex tasks possible with the use of robots and large
machines and tools is used to operate complex tasks, tasks that cannot be done by human skills.
People create and develop new inventions to overcome their physical limitations in what they can
do, and that is what technology does for us letting us do things that are not normally possible
through human actions such as contacting a person from across the world or providing an
abundance of light. Technology is the fruit of human ingenuity and tentative labor, whose
progression in the 21st century should still continue for the betterment of the people, while keeping
certain dangerous factors in check such as hacks and accentuating violence.
Communication has always been a core part of people s lives and it does not seem to be ending
anytime soon. Technology has drastically expanded this core aspect of people s lives, with the usage

Comparing Daisy Buchanan And Myrtle Wilson
Sadie Rucker
Mrs. Oden
AP English
2 November 2015 In the novel, The Great Gatsby, two of the central women are Daisy Buchanan
and Myrtle Wilson. At first glance, the reader may think there are no similarities between Daisy and
Myrtle; however, these two characters have more in common than one might think. Although they
seem diverse in many ways, they maintain, in fact, very similar personalities. The novel shows the
hardships and complications they both have in marriages, and the resulting outcomes. Both women
are extremely beautiful and use their beauty knowingly to get what they want in terms of happiness.
They both portray that wealth is more important than everything else and live their lives according
to this principle. Neither Daisy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Artificial Intelligence in Gibson s Idoru and Oshii s Ghost in the Shell Introduction If people
knew what scientists are up to, they would not be sleeping as calmly as they do today. If only
they knew, they would read more carefully what the cyberpunk authors have to say. The purpose
of this work is not only to compare the pictures of Artificial Intelligence (hereafter referred to
simply as AI) included in two major works of cyberpunk genre, but also to show the connection
between those images and the reality we all live in or its nearest future. So what is the future of AI
depicted in cyberpunk works like? And if, as Sterling suggests, science fiction writers pass on a
cautionary message to the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A useful addition to it is provided by the author who is considered one of the founders of the
genre, William Gibson. In one of his interviews he stated that it is about the present. It s not
really about an imagined future. It s a way of trying to come to terms with the awe and terror
inspired . . . by the world in which we live (Anonymous collective work). This opinion is in
accordance with the opening quotation from Sterling. Both opinions, too, answer the question of
why the examples from this particular genre were chosen for the sake of comparison shown in this
very work. Indeed, there is a reason for doing this: the resemblance to reality cyberpunk works bear.
Obviously, there are other genre specific features that characterize cyberpunk: like the presence of
the Internet (that is often combined into one entity with virtual reality and takes up different
names: Cyberspace, Matrix, Multiverse, partly because it was invented in cyberpunk literature
before it was invented in reality and named the Internet) or the influence of almighty organizations
in the form of international corporations or mafia like criminal orders of different kinds. These
elements, too, appear in the works described herein, but they are just other elements of a picture
already defined. Defining Basic Notions: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence Let us now consider
the term Artificial Intelligence. What is AI then? And do we live

The collapse of communism in the USSR and Central and Eastern Europe
Before we move on to our essay on to analyse The Collapse of Communism in USSR and Central
and Eastern Europe and the reasons behind its collapse, we should discuss and understand the
definition of Communism.
Communism is a social system in which all the resources, economic activities are owned by state or
country.
It is a system in which wealth is dispersed equally among the people and there is no private
ownership of the resources and wealth. The state owns and controls resources and property. Soviet
model of communism was based on these ideals, all the opposition parties were banned only who
shared the communist ideals were allowed. Complete power was into the hands of the Communist
party. In 1917, the Soviet Union witnessed the Bolshevik Revolution which overthrew the czarism
and a communist state was born. The Central and Eastern Europe nations followed USSR and
adopted communism, with their leaders directly under the command and control of the Soviet
Union. Communism was doomed from the start due to the moral weakness of human mankind and
the corruption of its leaders. The first reason which played role in the failure and collapse of
communism was the fact that the Communist party s domination was illegitimate from the
beginning. Eastern European countries did the revolution have the support of more than a minority
of people, yet this minority retained absolute control. The communist

band as though I was family and we all stuck together perfectly, thanks to Mike.
Mike was always the glue that held the band together. Whenever we were in a silly argument, he

Descriptive Essay On Candy
Being a young boy, I wasn t the brightest light bulb in the ceiling. I was the kind of kid that could
get good grades, but when told to put an ice bag in the freezer, I accidently put it in the fridge. A
person that would go to a parade, and take the good pieces of candy that they threw. It was not one
of the smartest things I ve done in my life. At this parade, I would steal candy, go to the nearby park,
and play tennis. At the parade, things were starting off very slow. It was very boring for me as a
kid, so I had to try to entertain myself. One of the first things I tried doing at this parade was try
to spider climb up the wall of a building. The roughness of the bricks I would try to grab would
cut my small, fragile fingers and then the blood would start pouring out. I knew that if I was in
the ocean, a shark would smell it from miles away and gobble me up as if I was a turtle. The
boredom was eating me to death, but then I noticed that they were throwing candy at the crowd.
I ran up to get some, so excited to put the delicious pieces of sugar into my mouth. After getting
an absurd amount of candy, I saw my favorite type; a Hershey s chocolate bar. As I was running
to get it, I saw a little kid was about to grab the delicious tantalizing chocolate bar(probably about
6 or 7 years old), I snatched it from his mitts. I then realised my step dad, Brian, watched me do
that, scolded me then told me to go back over there and give it to the 6 year old. After that incident I

get 0.075 hr/load. Dump time by a truck in hr is given as 1.7 min or 0.028 hr. Calculations|
Shovels| Trucks| Hr / load | 0.024 | 0.28 | Load time for a truck / shovel by hr | 0.075 | Dump time
for truck by hr | 0.028 | Trip time for truck without load and dump time by hr | 0.177 |
The whole trip takes 0.28 hrs or 16.8 mins .
Trip= time taken to load truck by shovel + time taken from shovel to crusher+ time taken for
dumping+ time taken to drive back from crusher to shovel.
So 0.28 = 0.075+ time taken between shovel and crusher (twice) + 0.028
So time taken between shovel and crusher (twice) is 0.177 hrs, so each trip takes 0.0885hrs (5.31

Exhibit 8 Distribution of crusher delays during day shift
From summary Statistics, we found that: * Mean Delay = 12.86 minutes = 0.214 hrs * Number of

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Essay
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can be a very serious and debilitating condition that occurs
after a person has been exposed to a terrifying event or ordeal in which grave physical danger
happened or was threatened. The kinds of traumatic events triggering PTSD in people include
violent personal assaults (rape, mugging), natural disasters (hurricanes, tornadoes), man made
disasters (bombings), accidents or military combat. People who suffer from PTSD often relive the
experience through nightmares and flashbacks, have difficulty sleeping, and feel detached or

Rates of PTSD are much higher in post conflict settings such as Algeria (37%), Cambodia (28%),
Ethiopia (16%), and Gaza (18%)(de Jong et al., 2001).
The first stressor criterion specifies that a person has been exposed to a catastrophic event involving
actual or threatened death or injury. The second criterion, or intrusive recollection, includes
symptoms that are distinctive and easily identified of PTSD. These emotions manifest in daytime
fantasies, traumatic nightmares, and psychotic reenactments know as flashbacks. The third criteria,
avoidant/numbing, consists of symptoms that reflect behavioral, cognitive, or emotional strategies
the PTSD patients use in an attempt to reduce the likelihood that they will expose themselves to
trauma related stimuli. The fourth criteria, hyper arousal, most closely resembles those seen in
panic and generalized anxiety disorders. While symptoms such as insomnia and irritability are
generic anxiety symptoms, hyper vigilance and startle are more characteristic of PTSD. The fifth
criteria, duration, specifies how long symptoms must persist in order to qualify for a PTSD
diagnosis. The last criteria, functional significance, specify that the survivor must experience
significant social, occupational, or other distress as a result of these symptoms. Since 1980, there
has been a great deal of attention devoted

Victorian Women in the Work Force Essay
Victorian Women in the Work Force The Victorian period is often defined by its antique images
of flowers, doilies, rosy cheek children and intricate fashion. However, these trite images shadow
the true realities of middle class families struggling to succeed in the emerging business world.
Traditionally, the men spent long days in the city working out business affairs, while the women
stayed home with the children preparing meals and planning for social gatherings. Work was often
not an option for women because they were seen as incapable of any duty outside of the home.
However, with the onset of Queen Victorias reign, the women of England slowly began to challenge

She was capable of handling governmental affairs while also showing herself to be obedient to
Prince Albert, her beloved husband, which became an admirable trait among the English wives of
this period (20). Likewise, many historians refer to the Queen as a paradox because she combined
her middle class roots with her aristocratic reign. As one author says, That the queen of England
became the central embodiment of middle class familial values held great significance for the
representation and role of bourgeois women (Langland 64). Queen Victorias concern for the middle
class served as a basis by which English women were able to go outside of their domestic realm and
break some of the existing stereotypes.
Stereotypes of Victorian Women
The stereotypes of this period classified the ideal Victorian woman as being family oriented and
subservient to their male counterparts. She was supposed to love children and also to avoid
hurtful blunt statements and make her husband the center of her life and be the Light of the Home
while her husband tangled with the world at large (Palmer). Marriage was supposed to be the
Victorian woman s highest aim so that she could fulfill her aspiration of creating a family (Dunhill
23). Within the family, the wife would provide the meals, care for the children, and prepare for any
social gatherings that may occur

Personal Narrative-Fly (Dark Hallway Story)
Fly (Dark Hallway Story)
My parents were jerks. They fight, hit, and yell. So I decided to run. I figured there was nothing
else I could do. I had no other relatives, and my parents were the only people in my life. So that
night, I filled my backpack with food, clothes, and water. I decided to bring my dog, Nestor, who
supported me all the time. We set out on our way.
As I stepped off the front step, I began to regret this. My chance of survival was slim, and I had
no one to go to, but Nestor thought otherwise. He pulled on my pant leg, and I decided to listen to
him. We ran.
It felt like 2 hours had passed. Nestor was right by my side, and it practically felt as if we were
running into our own demise, yet it didn t matter. It s better to take a risk than live a life of sorrow.
Eventually, we came upon a valley, with no life of any animals... Show more content on

It was darker, and lightning flashed around us. Straight ahead of us, about 100 meters away, there
was a flock of birds. I began to smile, but then noticed something. They were eating something. A
huge caracas, larger than Nestor the dragon.
I thought this was it. I was going to die, and there was nothing I could do about it. The birds were
coming closer.
It was a nice run Nestor. I love you.
I put up my hands to protect myself. I turn my head and close my eyes. And then something
spectacular occurs. The birds fly around me. I open my eyes to see fire, actual fire, coming out
of my hands. The birds seem to be scared of the fire, and fly right to the side of us. Nestor, is
whimpering behind me. The birds fly past, and glide into a forest.
How did I do that? I wonder. Nestor just sat there clapping his paws.
These gloves are really cool. I exclaimed, examining them. Nestor gave me a look that said, Is that
all you got? He looked up and shot fire into the air.
Amazing! I told him, and he smiled. Then I noticed something hing on his back. They were

Bms 191011 Case Study
BMS 191011 is a maxi K channel opener [1]. Maxi K channels consist of a pore forming О±
subunit and a regulatory ОІ subunit. Maxi K channels are of a high Ca2+ sensitivity [2]. Bath
application of BMS 191011 at a concentration of 20 ОјM strongly reduced the calcium transients.
This effect was associated with bursts of bAPs (100 Hz) recorded from Fmr1в€’/y dendrites
without affecting those recorded from wild type dendrites. This treatment decreased dendritic
calcium transients of Fmr1в€’/y neurons to baseline levels of wild type neurons [3]. In normoxia,
BMS 191011 significantly induced cell death. This effect was indicted by the increases in
propidium iodide (PI) uptake by 9.4 В± 2.4 and 16.8 В± 2.1% at 12 and 24 h treatments,
respectively. At 12 h and then 24 h, the cellular [ATP] was decreased to 83.4 В± 3.1 and further to
72.3 В± 2.8%. During hypoxia, these effects were increased by ~2 fold in all time points and
measurements. PI uptake was increased to 15.1 В± 1.8 at 12 h and then 40.7 В± 1.7% at 24 h.
Cellular [ATP] was decreased to 77.8 В± 1.9 at 12 h and then to 43.3 В± 3.4% at 24 h [4].... Show

administration with BMS 191011 at 10 100 Вµg/kg/min increased the retinal arteriol diameter,
whereas it did not significantly affect mean arterial pressure and heart rate. Intravitreal injection
of iberiotoxin at a dose of 20 pmol/eye significantly attenuated the vasodilator responses of retinal

Allograft Sterilization Essay
Response/Recommendation:
A combined method of allograft sterilization appears to be the best method to reduce the
possibility of viral, bacterial and fungal infection as well as preserve the bio mechanical properties
of the graft. Sterilization methods should involve a low dose of gamma radiation ( 25 KGy),
chemical sterilization and antibiotic soaking. The use of radio protective solutions (i.e. propylene
glycol, dimethyl sulfoxide, mannitol and trehalose) can be effective in reducing the risk of free
radical attack to the collagen from the gamma radiation. Electron based radiation in combination
with tissue protective measure (i.e. low temperature, carbon dioxide) can be an alternative method
of sterilization, but further studies are required to validate this procedure.
Strength of Recommendation: Moderate
Rationale:
Septic arthritis after ACL reconstruction is a rare event, occurring in 0.14 1.8% of cases.1 3
Several studies have demonstrated a lower rate of deep infection after ACL reconstruction (ACLR)
using allograft compered to hamstring autograft tendons and equal possibilities with the use of bone
patellar tendon bone (BPTB) autograft.4 8 The increasing use of primary allograft ACLR during

Lessons learned and breaches in data protection act.
In this section I will give a list of the lessons I learned from the book the Cuckoo s Egg by
Clifford Stoll in relation to the subjects that I am currently. Also I will identify any breaches to the
Irish data protection act that could be pointed out from the book.
No network is secure
In our networking classes this is a lesson that has been reminded to us over and over again by our
trendy and very intelligent lecturer. As shown throughout the book the hackers are able to access
various systems, like telephone systems and satellites to access the network across the world. Then
they illegal gain access by using default user names and passwords.
The illustration [1] below shows how the hackers got access through different networks that were
connected.
The data protection act states that access to wireless networks should be controlled by the data
controllers and that they should have encryption and the appropriate securities in place

Chivalry And Loyalty In Medieval Literature
How many times have you thought or said out loud, that you wish things were how they used to
be? A common feeling, actually responsible for misrepresenting the realities of our past because it
makes us believe that everything then was much nicer, simpler, and maybe just better than how
things are now. Yet, the historywe imagine is almost always entirely false and it is the job of
historians to sift through that prodigious pastand figure out where romanticism ends and actual
history begins. To be chivalrous, you must be generous and courteous to your lady and women, as
well as your fellow knights. The legend of The Knights of the Round Table revolves around the
Code of Chivalry followed by honor, honesty, valor and loyalty. The Knights... Show more content

Women were viewed inferior to men so in contrast, the idea of romantic love to arranged, placed
noblewomen on a pedestal where they would be worshiped. A lady of the knight s job was to
acknowledge the good and virtuous works which was being displayed by the knight, and to
praise him for being brave, and courteous. In result of the enlivening her knight, this kept him
along the path of chivalry, rather than straying from the realm of pride, vanity and selfishness
(Blackwolf NP). Under the feudal system, a noblewoman could inherit an estate from her
husband. Upon a request to the lord, a noblewoman could also send his knights to war. So, when
her husband was off at war, the noblewoman would act as a military commander and warrior of
the medieval castle. Doing this, noblewomen were important and useful protectors of the castle
because they could hurl rocks, and fire arrow at attackers. Some even dressed in armor (Winfield
2). As the progression of time, noblewoman s acting role dwindled down from what they had in
earlier years. Eleanor of Aquitaine was a notable exception. Eleanor of Aquitaine, the queen of
England at the time, ruled for her husband Henry II at times, and later for her sons Richard and
John, which was only done by few others. Unfortunately, the decline of women s fortunes was also
in the hands of the church. To try and regain control of religious appointments and organizations, the

A Tin Roof Chapter Summaries
There are three social classes, upper class, also known as the rich, middle class, and lower class,
the ones with little to no money. Then there are countries that are known as third wheel
countries. In those countries, they don t get the luxuries we have, like running water or
electricity. Even if they do have it, it s in the cities where the people that have the money are
able to have these luxuries. During the book Lakshmi talks about a tin roof. As she describes it,
it s a roof where the father works and when it rains water doesn t come through the roof. Usually,
the father of the house works to pay for the family s needs or has to send a son or a daughter to
pay off the debt. A tin roof means that the family has a father who doesn t gamble away the
landlord s money playing cards in the tea shop. A tin roof means that family has a son working at
the brick kiln in the city. A tin roof means that when the rains come, the fire stays lit. Sold... Show

Charmin s Marketing Strategy
I selected Charmin for my brand and they are part of the Proctor and Gamble organization of
products. Charmin is a toilet tissue product and has been around from the late 1920 s till today.
Their initial channels consisted of traditional advertising like papers or store windows, word of
month between consumers and packaging with a feminine touch of a lady on the front. You have
to remember the time frame and how our culture was during this time period in how we processed
products of this nature. Reasoning the ladies handled purchase of these type perceived feminine
products. Someone one day said the packaging was charming so came the name Charmin. Their
message to consumers is its so soft and they have promoted this message from the beginning...

information. They Advertise on television, internet with website and pop up advertisements, they

clean bathrooms in the area when they are out and about in the community. Additionally, they
provide helpful tips and hints for consumers about a variety of issues surrounding the applicable
topic of toilet tissue like potty training and things that revolve around the bathroom experience.
Charmin has been innovative and creative in their communication mix over time and evolved as
needed to meet applicable approaches for communication with consumers and how our culture
also changed during those different time periods. They stayed true to their core message of its so
soft or in general its soft. They managed to get people to look at the bathroom experience in a
different light as its just a natural function and is not a big deal. They also seemed to make the

When financial fraud has occurred to the American people by the alleged Too Big to Fail banks
on Wall Street, is it more productive to the economy and society to criminally charge the executives
of these financial institutions or negotiate a civil penalty that compensates victims and reforms the
deceptive trade practices of our nation s largest banks? Further, if settlement is the best solution,
why settle for the less money than the financial harm caused by the big banks? The following will

  • 2. Marx s Theory of History Essay Marx s Theory of History The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles. This crucial opening to The Communist Manifesto holds the key to understanding Karl Marx s conception of history. Marx outlines history as a two dimensional, linear chain of events. A constant progression of class divisions being created and overthrown, one after the other, until the result is the utopian endpoint, otherwise known as communism. Karl Marx, in writing the Communist Manifesto, argued that human history unfolds in a teleological manner; therefore it unfolds according to a distinct series of historical stages, each necessarily following the other. These stages ultimately lead to a given Utopian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to Marx s account of history, every class is naturally unsound, and predestined for ultimate destruction due to its internal discrepancies. They will then bring rise to a new class, which has settled the discrepancies of its precursor but retains it own, which will cause its eventual passing. In more specific terms, Marx sketches the development of the capitalist bourgeoisie society from feudal society. From the surfs of the middle ages sprang the chartered burghers of the earliest towns. From these burgesses the first elements of the bourgeoisie were developed. (56) So Serfs gave rise to burghers who formed the beginnings of the new bourgeois class. The beginnings of European trade with America and the Far East contributed to the rapid development of the revolutionary element in the tottering feudal society (56). New markets, which became unable to be supported by the feudal systems means of production, caused that system to be replaced by the manufacturing system #8230;. The guild masters were pushed aside by the manufacturing middle class; division of labor between the different corporate guilds vanished in the face of division of labor in a single workshop. (56) And, so, by an inevitable historical process, the modern bourgeoisie is itself the product of a long course of development, of a series of revolutions in the modes of production and of exchange. (57) And each of these has been accompanied by a corresponding ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Eassy On Bangladesh Rivers Or, The Rivers Of Bangladesh Short Essay on Bangladesh Rivers Or, The Rivers of Bangladesh Bangladesh is a land of rivers. The economic condition of Bangladesh is mostly connected with her rivers. The rivers of Bangladesh are undoubtedly wide. But they shrink in size for insufficiency of wither in dry seasons. With the heavy rainfall in the rainy season they become full to the brim and look terrible. The Padma, the meghna, the jamuna and the karnaphuli are the principal rivers of Bangladesh. Besides there s, there are other small rivers of no less importance. All three rivers flowing through different districts of Bangladesh fall into the Bay of Bengal. In the rainy season these rivers swell to the brim and sometimes overflow their banks and inundate the adjoining fields. They then look like the vast sheet of water all around. Bangladesh is an agricultural country. Her river makes her soil fertile by depositions the silt carried by them of the land. Paddy and jute are the main crops of Bangladesh. Irrigation is essential for the bumper growth of these crops. So the water of these rivers is used for the purpose of irrigation by means of power pumps or by digging canals. It is, therefore, evident that the economic condition of the cultivators largely depends on rivers. Many kinds of fish are around in the rivers of Bangladesh. • 4. The Importance Of Objectivity In Art As Gombrich describes, objectivity is the ability to represent something exactly as it is seen in nature without any influence. According to Gombrich, the objectivity of the representation in a work of art does not define how correct or real the art is. On the contrary, realism is defined by the information conveyed from the art. If the information is correct, the work is realistic. Gombrich believes this because there are multiple limits to representing objectively. One of the most prominent limits is style because as much as any artist would like to recreate nature objectively, style overrules. Every artist has a unique temperament which is represented in their work, making it a limit to representing an objectobjectively. Furthermore, the style itself is a limit to objectivity as well. Style includes but is not limited to the method of recreation or technique. The choice of technique restricts the artist freedom of choice as the artist can only render what his technique is capable of rendering. Not only is the limit to objectivity seen in the work of art itself, but it is also present in viewing nature itself with the eyes. The artist will see certain aspects of nature that others will not see based on his technique. For example, an artist drawing a scene will focus on the scene in terms of lines. Another limit to objectivity is the preference of an artist. An artist will only paint what he likes, which is what he can paint. Answer 2: I agree with all of Gombrich s ... In the article, the EU as a Promoter of Preventative Criminal Justice and the Internal Security Context, Ester Herlin Karnell argues that the European Union (EU) has drifted from the objectives of the first implementation of the European Area of Freedom, Security, and Justice (AFSJ). The AFSJ was originally created to promote general EU values such as human rights. However, Herlin Karnell states that the broad objectives and focus on ensuring a high level of security have left the AFSJ to focus solely on security while abandoning freedom and justice. The author discusses the problems of a blurred distinction of internal and external security. As the world has become more globalized, complex issues that cross both internal and external ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Three examples are used which show that the broad language used to set up the AFSJ and its focus on security, have blurred the division between internal and external security. In each of the examples, money laundering, intelligence, and cybercrime, the EU itself has justified its right to police these areas using broad definitions in regulations. The author argues that security is too broad and any situation could be morphed to fit under that large umbrella. Further focus on security without concern for justice and freedom (the other tenants of the AFSJ) in the author s view, has the potential to undermine the legitimacy of the union, the system, and the stated goals of justice and human rights (Herlin Karnell, 2016). Upon first reading it becomes clear that Herlin Karnell is writing to an audience with a thorough understanding of the EU and its structure. This results in undefined terms and assumptions about the bloc as a whole. An individual without a baseline knowledge of the EU would have some difficulty determining the meaning of some terms and concepts based solely on the writing at hand. The context of these assumptions is given more justice when we consider that Herlin Karnell is a professor of law in the Netherlands. An example of undefined terminology that might bring confusion to the reader is risk based approach and pillar structure found on page 217 (Herlin Karnell, 2016). These ... Where Angels Fear to Treadbegins as a light and comedic novel but later develops to become more dense and tragic. Forster also uses the story of the Italian saint, Santa Deodata to satirize the behavior of the Herritons. Santa Deodata s story is shown in the following excerpt: So holy was she that all her life she lay upon her back in the house of her mother, refusing to eat, refusing to play, refusing to work. The devil, envious of such sanctity, tempted her in various ways...When all proved vain, he tripped up the mother and flung her downstairs before her very eyes. • 13. Values And Values Of The Music Beliefs and values of oneself in music are essential to determining future musical decisions. A students self efficacy can be highly predictive in determining levels of performance achievement (Lehmann, Sloboda, Woody, 2007). Secondary music students who want to be quality musicians build a system of dispositions, skills, and abilities that enable them to self regulate their learning (Hewitt, 2015). These students generally have greater self efficacy and are more likely to engage themselves in meaningful musical experiences to produce the best results (Hewitt, 2015). Helping students build positive self efficacy is an important area of interest for musicteachers. Oftentimes, music students spend significant time practicing away from direct instruction or influence of their teachers, meaning that self regulation plays a crucial role in music learning (Miksza, 2012). • 15. The Role Of Active Faults On Fracture Development The third order fracture distribution is strongly dependent on the lithofacies architecture, especially the distribution of bedding plane discontinuities. Fractures in stratified parts of the sequence form a nested structure with a high degree of mechanical units at the scale of individual sedimentary beds. In more homogeneous rocks, a widely spaced background network of lithology irrelevant fractures is overprinted by more densely spaced fractures terminating at significant mechanical decoupling surfaces. Relationships between fracture stratigraphy and stratigraphic fracture development controls for different scale ranges as formalized in the hierarchical fracture model for the Petra case study can be used to provide constraints for nested fractured reservoir models. This methodology can help determine an appropriate homogenization scale for geo cellular fracture models, improve the prediction of the discrete sub seismic fracture distribution compared to conventional down scaling techniques and improve the constraints of stratigraphic control on wellbore up scaling. This procedure becomes increasingly more powerful when combined with the effects of other important development controls, such as the influence of active faults on fracture development. Most of the characters in the Aeneid are seen entering the war enthusiastically in the hope of honoring and glorifying their names. However, Aeneas demonstrates heightened responsibility toward the people he leads. At no point does he show selfishness in the wish for his name to be glorified and honored at death. In essence, Aeneasis committed to the destiny of his people. This uniqueness makes Aeneas an epic herounlike previous heroes such as Odysseus. Aeneas is duty bound and he follows nothing but fate. Aeneas is an epic hero because he is a dutiful servant to fate, he performs his duties patriotically, his instills confidence in his people, and he is highly responsible for his family and his people. Aeneas is focused on his goal throughout because he knows he is fate s dutiful servant. This aspect readily comes out in his description as a man apart, devoted to his mission, a dedicated man. Majority of countries around the world have speed limits on all roads or on specific roads. Moreover, majority of the speed limit rules apply in populous areas such as urban centers and residential areas. Other speed limits might also apply in some regions with higher population of animals along the roads. Road signs are used to indicate speed limits. In some cases, the speed limit law or by laws is not strict (Lund, 2007). There are many reasons why speed limits can be necessary in Halifax region, and there are many reasons why it makes sense to implement speed limits is because they have worked in other cities and nations. Speed limits have existed since the steam engine error in the 19th century where the United Kingdom set the maximum speed at 10 kilometers per hour. However, it is important to note that the reasoning behind the speed limit could have been different from the modern speed limits reasoning. In the 19th century, technology advancement in the transport industry was at infant stages, therefore, the lawmaker could not image a huge machine traveling at a relatively high speed. The Growth Of Technology In The 21st Century The Growth of Technology in the 21st Century and What It Stands For Technology is continuously advancing in the 21st century, where medical research is being put into practice, cars being modified to help reduce carbon emissions, and so on, all due to the constant upgrades in technology. With it constantly advancing as time goes on, so has society and the people that has lived in it, their lifestyles constantly changing in relation to how technology is changing, with many benefits that are yielded from it, alongside with the negatives that can bring the society down. Modern technology has made complex tasks possible with the use of robots and large machines and tools is used to operate complex tasks, tasks that cannot be done by human skills. People create and develop new inventions to overcome their physical limitations in what they can do, and that is what technology does for us letting us do things that are not normally possible through human actions such as contacting a person from across the world or providing an abundance of light. Technology is the fruit of human ingenuity and tentative labor, whose progression in the 21st century should still continue for the betterment of the people, while keeping certain dangerous factors in check such as hacks and accentuating violence. Artificial Intelligence in Gibson s Idoru and Oshii s Ghost in the Shell Introduction If people knew what scientists are up to, they would not be sleeping as calmly as they do today. If only they knew, they would read more carefully what the cyberpunk authors have to say. The purpose of this work is not only to compare the pictures of Artificial Intelligence (hereafter referred to simply as AI) included in two major works of cyberpunk genre, but also to show the connection between those images and the reality we all live in or its nearest future. So what is the future of AI depicted in cyberpunk works like? And if, as Sterling suggests, science fiction writers pass on a cautionary message to the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A useful addition to it is provided by the author who is considered one of the founders of the genre, William Gibson. In one of his interviews he stated that it is about the present. It s not really about an imagined future. It s a way of trying to come to terms with the awe and terror inspired . . . by the world in which we live (Anonymous collective work). This opinion is in accordance with the opening quotation from Sterling. Both opinions, too, answer the question of why the examples from this particular genre were chosen for the sake of comparison shown in this very work. Indeed, there is a reason for doing this: the resemblance to reality cyberpunk works bear. Obviously, there are other genre specific features that characterize cyberpunk: like the presence of the Internet (that is often combined into one entity with virtual reality and takes up different names: Cyberspace, Matrix, Multiverse, partly because it was invented in cyberpunk literature before it was invented in reality and named the Internet) or the influence of almighty organizations in the form of international corporations or mafia like criminal orders of different kinds. These elements, too, appear in the works described herein, but they are just other elements of a picture already defined. The collapse of communism in the USSR and Central and Eastern Europe Before we move on to our essay on to analyse The Collapse of Communism in USSR and Central and Eastern Europe and the reasons behind its collapse, we should discuss and understand the definition of Communism. Communism is a social system in which all the resources, economic activities are owned by state or country. It is a system in which wealth is dispersed equally among the people and there is no private ownership of the resources and wealth. The state owns and controls resources and property. Soviet model of communism was based on these ideals, all the opposition parties were banned only who shared the communist ideals were allowed. Complete power was into the hands of the Communist party. In 1917, the Soviet Union witnessed the Bolshevik Revolution which overthrew the czarism and a communist state was born. The Central and Eastern Europe nations followed USSR and adopted communism, with their leaders directly under the command and control of the Soviet Union. Communism was doomed from the start due to the moral weakness of human mankind and the corruption of its leaders. The first reason which played role in the failure and collapse of communism was the fact that the Communist party s domination was illegitimate from the beginning. These emotions manifest in daytime fantasies, traumatic nightmares, and psychotic reenactments know as flashbacks. The third criteria, avoidant/numbing, consists of symptoms that reflect behavioral, cognitive, or emotional strategies the PTSD patients use in an attempt to reduce the likelihood that they will expose themselves to trauma related stimuli. The fourth criteria, hyper arousal, most closely resembles those seen in panic and generalized anxiety disorders. While symptoms such as insomnia and irritability are generic anxiety symptoms, hyper vigilance and startle are more characteristic of PTSD. Maxi K channels are of a high Ca2+ sensitivity [2]. Bath application of BMS 191011 at a concentration of 20 ОјM strongly reduced the calcium transients. This effect was associated with bursts of bAPs (100 Hz) recorded from Fmr1в€’/y dendrites without affecting those recorded from wild type dendrites. This treatment decreased dendritic calcium transients of Fmr1в€’/y neurons to baseline levels of wild type neurons [3]. In normoxia, BMS 191011 significantly induced cell death. Allograft Sterilization Essay Response/Recommendation: A combined method of allograft sterilization appears to be the best method to reduce the possibility of viral, bacterial and fungal infection as well as preserve the bio mechanical properties of the graft. Sterilization methods should involve a low dose of gamma radiation ( 25 KGy), chemical sterilization and antibiotic soaking. The use of radio protective solutions (i.e. propylene glycol, dimethyl sulfoxide, mannitol and trehalose) can be effective in reducing the risk of free radical attack to the collagen from the gamma radiation.
