Project Role:
I coordinate the activities of the superintendants and speciality supervisors ensuring that priority
disputes are resolved between the different disciplines. I liaise with the contractor daily ensuring they
have competent experienced and the sufficient number of personnel assigned to the task. I work
together with the Safety team to ensure that HSE standards are maintained and that safety issues are
monitored and addressed by the site supervision team. I am now working under the different Owner
Operations permit to work systems so ensure the vendors and contractors meet all PTW requirements.
Together with the supervisors I monitor the contractors quality of work to ensure it complies with quality
and HSE standards, I also monitor and report the mechanical contractor’s technical progress liaising
with Project Controls. I run construction meetings with the contractors. I review and comment on
documentation produced by the mechanical contractors (eg technical reports, specifications,
procedures, drawings, etc) ensuring implementation of established procedures and good engineering
practice, as well repair procedures.
I review and evaluate all change proposals / requests’, ensuring appropriate technical support is
provided in decision making. I expedite material controls for material delivery, distribution and
availability in accordance with planned activities, ensuring Contracts & Procurement are notified to
purchase lost or missing material.
I am also nominated the Flawless Captain for prototype equipment and recognized for providing
excellent Beyond Injury Free leadership when working on the Sadara project in KSA.

Construction Manager Aug.2012 to present
Sadara project in KSA as the construction Manager for the owners PMT I am responsible for
coordinating
And monitoring all construction activities from the Aromatics envelop as part of the Sadara project.
The Sadara project has unlike most projects only 1 face and has a total value of 19 Billion USD and is
the largest 1 face Chemical plant ever build in the world with total manpower in peek of close to
60,000 people and is divided in 26 different assets with more than 100 contractors on site.
As the construction Manager of Aromatics with a value of 200 Million USD I am responsible for all
Construction, Quality and HSE aspects of the project overseeing performance of all trade contractors
and reviewing engineering drawings and Method statements to make sure that all specifications and
requirements are been followed as per project procedure. As part of Sadara PMT I look over and
monitor the daily progress of the contractors and sup- contractors and coordinate that all construction
work is performed within Sadara HSE requirements and specification.
I am responsible for managing all aspects of the project construction activities assuring the
management of the interfaces among all departments and assets.
Tracking and controlling construction schedules and cost to achieve completion of the project within
time and within budget.
Project value: Circa 19 billion USD, Aromatics value Circa 200 million USD. Plant output 1.5 MTPA of
Ethylene and 400.000 TPA Propylene

Construction Manager Apr 2011 to July 2012
Pearl GTL in Qatar, seconded in to the Shell (SPAES) Special projects team for supplementary
projects (circa 20 million USD each project) to enhance the Pearl GTL (Shell /QP) project in parallel
with assisting completion of Phase 2 of GTL. This involved both brown-fields and green-fields work,
where the installation was in other Owner plants, QP Tank farm and Laffan Refinery. This required
liaising with other operators and different permit to work systems. I am responsible for all construction
aspects, co-ordinating different disciplines and contractors, progress and quality performance. I am
responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and timely construction and commissioning of the works in
accordance with the project schedule and budget reporting directly to the project manager.
Winterisation of the Slug Catcher and Kero Blending – to convert Kerosene Tank to Jet A1 tank and all
associated fiscal metering and tie-in to Pearl GTL
Project value: Circa 13 billion USD, Plant output 140,000bpd GTL, 120,000bpd related products.
Construction Area Manager Dec 2008 to Apr 2011
On the Pearl GTL in Qatar I was Construction Area manager in the Utilities part of the project. I was
responsible for the main rotating equipment area, which included installation of 8 Gas Turbine
Generators (32MW), 9 HRSGs (180Tns/hr-HP), 2 Aux Boilers (160tns/Hr-HP) and utilities reporting
directly to the project manager. I was responsible for co-ordinating and managing construction activities
carried out by the contractors, ensuring the scope of work was achieved in accordance with contract
requirements, schedule, and in compliance with the project specification; promptly advising the
Construction Manager of any areas of concern. The project moved through to the Commissioning and
Start-Up Phase so also advised the Commissioning Manager of any areas of concern and updating on
modifications being carried out.
Superintendent (Mechanical) Dec 2007 to Dec 2008
KBR provided engineering and construction services to carry out EPCM for the utilities scope of the
commercial scale gas-to-liquids (GTL) plant based on Shell’s proprietary SMDS technology for Qatar.
I worked as Mechanical Superintendent for the Steam and Power area reporting to the construction
manager. I was responsible for all mechanical aspects including rotating machinery, static equipment
and all major mechanical packages; I was responsible for co-ordinating the site supervisors and
contractors, reporting on progress and quality performance. My responsibilities included ensuring the
safe, efficient and timely construction of the works in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
Construction Sub Contractor July 2001 to July 2007
I set up my own company in construction where I work for Contractors and private clients; for
contractors and business I worked on maintenance projects in properties, refurbishments and also the
London Underground on project with a value up to 2 million pounds.

Worked on several construction sites throughout London with a building subcontractor in refurbishment
of houses, internal and external, covering all aspects of construction.

Mechanical Supervisor 1996 to August 2000

Over 15 years experience with Fabricom working on a wide variety of chemical, petrochemical and
food processing plants. I have served positions from Supervisor, Foreman and started as a Field
Mechanical technician on grass roots projects, brown fields, shutdowns and pre-turnarounds.
As supervisor I was responsible for a team of foreman, planning their work, providing advice on
installations, ensuring their work was completed safely and on time. I liaised with the client providing
expert advice on installations and providing method statements. I was responsible for mechanical
teams of 10 to 15 people, although at times there have been much larger teams as demanded by the
project.
I have gained all round experience in the static, rotating equipment and boilers installations and
refurbishment’s in the construction and pre-commissioning phases, throughout various locations
including Belgium, The Netherlands, France and Norway. Project values from 50 million USD up to 1.5
billion USD.
• Fina, Antwerp, Belgium May 2000 to August 2000
Fina plant 64, pre-turnaround and 5 week shutdown as mechanical supervisor, responsible for a team
of mechanical foremen, planning their work, advising, producing method statements and checking for
the demolition of piping work, vessels, cleaning of Dressed Vessels, installation of new internals, new
pumps, repair of pumps, and new dressed vessels reporting directly to the construction manager.
• KUP, Gas Processing Plant at Kårstø – Fabricom Jan 1999 - Apr 2000
As mechanical supervisor, responsible for foremen reporting to the general superintendent I was
responsible for the site installation of Dressed Vessels, Modules and Equipment including installation
of Pre-Assembled Units weighing up to 780Tonnes, 60 Meter Vessels weighing up to 230Tonnes.
Equipment included installations and alignment of two 30MW Sales Gas compressors and associated
gas turbines, 3 Propane compressors and drivers, two 10MW De’ethaniser compressors and
associated steam turbines, four 4MWTurbo Expanders, Pumps, Air-Coolers, Sea-water intake pumps
and Diesel Generators. I liaised with the main Contractor and Client for all construction work including
planning, interfacing, follow-up field engineering, construction and construction activities for the
completion of mechanical works associated with the erection of static equipment and rotating
machinery for the new Asgard processing facilities, through to Mechanical Completion (which included
pre-commissioning).
• KUP, Gas Processing Plant at Kårstø – Fabricom Oct 1998 - Dec 1998
For the same contract I was responsible for installation of mechanical works covered by our Norwegian
sister company on the same project.
• KUP, Module Fabrication Yard, Hoboken, Belgium – Fabricom 1997 to 1998
Prior to joining the site team in Norway I was assigned to work on the Modularised Pre-Assembled
units to be shipped to Kårstø. I was responsible for equipment installations on to the modules,
including horizontal and vertical drums; fin-fan coolers, plate exchanger’s shell and tube exchangers
and two 10Tonne brazed aluminium core heat exchangers.
• Nerefco, Rotterdam, The Netherlands – Fabricom 1996
Installation of a gas plant for Nerefco, responsible for installation of pumps, drums, heat-exchangers
and dressed vessels. I was involved in the transfer of a boiler, dismantling the boiler from its existing
location, transporting and then re-installing at Nerefco. Worked together with Raytheon (the
Netherlands) the engineering design contractor.
• Nerefco, Rotterdam, The Netherlands – Fabricom 1996
This was a pre-planned plant shutdown, where I was responsible for cleaning of shell and tube
exchangers, modifications on vessels, some in situ others offsite, cleaning and re-alignment of rotating
machinery. This was a demanding role working in a tight schedule and a full “work to permit” where
safety was a high priority.
• DSM Geleen, The Netherlands – Fabricom 1994 – 1995
Installation of a Gas Plant with Turbo Technica, (Contractors - Italian design office). I was the
responsible supervisor for the installation of three electrical generators and turbines, and a steam
generator.
