BOOSTER STATION EXPANSION (Southern Saskatchewan)
SENIOR SITE COORDINATOR June 2014 to Present
Responsible for all day to day civil, structural & mechanical operations from
the ground up adding 3 new high horsepower pumps & motors along with the
installation of an E-house & the construction of an onsite sub-station, all
related highline structural steel & the construction of a containment pond
adjacent to the work site.

MECHANICAL COORDINATOR FOR MAJOR PROJECTS DOWNSTREAM
VDU, DRU, & THE HSU PROJECTS October 2013 to June 2014
Working directly for CNRL I was responsible for managing our EPC contractor & all
their subs in all mechanical aspects of this 970 million dollar expansions day to day
operations from initial ITP development & work face planning to helping the
contractor develop & approve execution plans, Issue all activity permits, working
with our & their engineering staff through the RFI process & the contractors
contractual responsibilities. I was directly involved in the modular work assembling
the super mods on site utilising 1600 ton & 1350 ton cranes joining 8 mods together
to produce each super mod.
 FLUOR CANADA April 2012 to October 2013
GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT. Imperial Oil / Exxon Mobile Kearl Lake
Manage & coordinate all contractors activities building 6 multi stage pumping
stations worth upwards of 450 million dollars which include all earthworks,
piling, over 1000 cubic meters of poured concrete per pump station, 30”
suction & discharge piping, tied together by 8 km of 30”above ground
pipeline, stations include setting of 12 modules weighing up to 140 tonnes
each, overseeing the piling operation’s installing 30”& 36” piles throughout
the 3 sites & down the right of ways. Other duties include working very
closely with Flour, IOL, and Exxon & Amec engineering staff. Responsible
for issuing all safe work permits & managing all ground disturbance permits
for Fluor (Kearl Expansion Project) & the various other contractors working
for Fluor. Gathering all needed info & coordinating contractor site visits for
various bidders & kickoff meetings. Tracking progress & reporting all
milestones, ensuring all safety & quality procedures are followed. Dealing
with engineering issues, delivery dates & generally helping the contractors
work through any issues that arise.

Responsible for all big bore tie-ins to the new high pressure 2 stage
compressor with 20” inlets & 3 large scale cooling units along with all
associated rack piping ( existing & new pipe racks).

Interdisciplinary Release Coordinator (CNRL Horizon Project)
Superintendent post hydro & pre commissioning
Coordinate all releases to all disciplines from Construction, Hydro, EHT, &
delegating all releases to the 6 individual insulation contractors on site staffing
approx 600 people between them. I was the direct BY&V contact for all
insulation needs for units 41, 42, & 43.
Organizing & delegating all B deficiencies post hydro, directing crews to fix
said deficiencies.
Building all the piping packages for pre commissioning & turnover.
Working with the client & up to 6 different insulation contractors totalling
over 600 men, tracking production & compliance with schedule deadlines for
all disciplines on site totalling 3200 workers.

Responsible for assembling all vendor packages & piping equipment on all new
vessels on site.

MECHANICAL SUPERINTENDENT. (ENCANA’S STEEPROCK GAS
FACILITY)
Responsible for manning up & managing at peak 200 staff on site.
Grass Roots construction of a sulphur recovery unit, 2 amine gas units, & two
large scale combustion air furnaces, along with heat exchangers & water
treatment. Organized & delegated daily work scope according to the project
schedule.

Responsible for all work assigned to Aron Services by CNRL in North Helmet
(FT.NELSON B.C)
Revamping existing compressor sites as required meeting new codes.
Installing new common flare systems, new separators, tank farms, & various other
special projects for CNRL.
Installing two new floating compressors c/w new tank farm & reboilers.
This work involved remote FIFO locations with up to 60 men on site & multiple
helicopters long lining to & from site daily, proving to be a challenge during spring
break up.

Day shift Superintendent working on the recovery boilers in a full scale mill
shutdown, responsible for 1 G/F, 4 foremen & 65 workers.
Extensive work repairing internal & external components of both 8 storey

Planning and executing various shutdown duties including:
-Critical vessel entries (severe sour gas & acid gas situations).
-Blinding, deblinding, and start-up of gas plant.
 PIPING FORMAN: AEC. LTD- COLD LAKE WINTER PIPELINES.
Shop fabrication of approximately 18,000 weld inches.
Responsible for all pipe fabrication and progressive quality control.
15,000 prefab pipeline inches.
Two compressor modules, ranging from 2” to 20” piping.
Two 24”x 80 ft high vent stacks.
Fabrication of inlet separator skid, including vessel revisions, all piping, 12” &
16” nozzles.
Built two prototype sand separator skid packages.

FORMAN: JOFFRE POLYETHYLENE CHEMICAL PLANT.
Commissioning of all systems as they are released to the client from the
general contractor (e.g. new train loading docks, 2 spheres, & all the high line
piping from the water treatment bldg to E-3, & up to Amoco site limits.)

(HORIZON OILSANDS) MECHANICAL COORDINATOR FOR MAJOR PROJECTS DOWNSTREAM VDU, DRU, & THE HSU PROJECTS October 2013 to June 2014 Working directly for CNRL I was responsible for managing our EPC contractor & all their subs in all mechanical aspects of this 970 million dollar expansions day to day operations from initial ITP development & work face planning to helping the contractor develop & approve execution plans, Issue all activity permits, working with our & their engineering staff through the RFI process & the contractors contractual responsibilities. I was directly involved in the modular work assembling the super mods on site utilising 1600 ton & 1350 ton cranes joining 8 mods together to produce each super mod.  FLUOR CANADA April 2012 to October 2013 GENERAL SUPERINTENDENT. Imperial Oil / Exxon Mobile Kearl Lake Manage & coordinate all contractors activities building 6 multi stage pumping stations worth upwards of 450 million dollars which include all earthworks, piling, over 1000 cubic meters of poured concrete per pump station, 30” suction & discharge piping, tied together by 8 km of 30”above ground pipeline, stations include setting of 12 modules weighing up to 140 tonnes each, overseeing the piling operation’s installing 30”& 36” piles throughout the 3 sites & down the right of ways. Other duties include working very closely with Flour, IOL, and Exxon & Amec engineering staff. Responsible for issuing all safe work permits & managing all ground disturbance permits for Fluor (Kearl Expansion Project) & the various other contractors working for Fluor. Gathering all needed info & coordinating contractor site visits for various bidders & kickoff meetings. Tracking progress & reporting all milestones, ensuring all safety & quality procedures are followed. Dealing with engineering issues, delivery dates & generally helping the contractors work through any issues that arise.  Tartan Canada Corp.   • 4.  Kinetic Projects April 2010 to Sept 2010 General Foreman Encana’s Weyburn S02 Compressor Expansion Responsible for all big bore tie-ins to the new high pressure 2 stage compressor with 20” inlets & 3 large scale cooling units along with all associated rack piping ( existing & new pipe racks).  Berry Y & V Industrial Contracting Sept 2008 to March 2010 Interdisciplinary Release Coordinator (CNRL Horizon Project) Superintendent post hydro & pre commissioning Coordinate all releases to all disciplines from Construction, Hydro, EHT, & delegating all releases to the 6 individual insulation contractors on site staffing approx 600 people between them. I was the direct BY&V contact for all insulation needs for units 41, 42, & 43. Organizing & delegating all B deficiencies post hydro, directing crews to fix said deficiencies. Building all the piping packages for pre commissioning & turnover. Working with the client & up to 6 different insulation contractors totalling over 600 men, tracking production & compliance with schedule deadlines for all disciplines on site totalling 3200 workers.  BONNYVILLE WELDING LTD 2008 SITE SUPERINTENDENT. (CNRL WOLF LAKE 4 EXPANSION) Responsible for assembling all vendor packages & piping equipment on all new vessels on site. Given additional scope to keep the project moving forward & the schedule turnover dates active.  COBRA MAINTENANCE 2007 SITE SUPERINTENDENT. (SHELL ORION SAG-D BLACKROCK SITE) Responsible for all Cobras’ interests for the maintenance contract & commissioning contract for this new facility. Hiring & managing manpower to assist Shell’s commissioning & start-up team. Assisting operations in planning & executing work orders  FLINT ENERGY SERVICES LTD 2006-2007 MECH GENERAL FOREMAN (MCU PROJECT SUNCOR) Supervision of 3 foremen & 40 tradesmen in the construction of unit one at Suncor’s MCU Project.  ARON SERVICES LTD 2006 MECHANICAL SUPERINTENDENT. (ENCANA’S STEEPROCK GAS FACILITY) Responsible for manning up & managing at peak 200 staff on site. Grass Roots construction of a sulphur recovery unit, 2 amine gas units, & two large scale combustion air furnaces, along with heat exchangers & water treatment. Organized & delegated daily work scope according to the project schedule. 4

Responsible for all work assigned to Aron Services by CNRL in North Helmet (FT.NELSON B.C) Revamping existing compressor sites as required meeting new codes. Installing new common flare systems, new separators, tank farms, & various other special projects for CNRL. Installing two new floating compressors c/w new tank farm & reboilers. This work involved remote FIFO locations with up to 60 men on site & multiple helicopters long lining to & from site daily, proving to be a challenge during spring break up.  TOP NOTCH OILFIELD CONSTRUCTION. Real Resources Ltd. Supervising & tying in various gathering systems & well packages in central & northern Alberta.  FLINT ENERGY SERVICES LTD. CALGARY OFFICE Supervisor of single well tie-ins for Imperial Oil.  TRITON CONSTRUCTION. HINTON PULP MILL Day shift Superintendent working on the recovery boilers in a full scale mill shutdown, responsible for 1 G/F, 4 foremen & 65 workers. Extensive work repairing internal & external components of both 8 storey firetube boilers.  FLINT ENERGY SERVICES LTD. SUNCOR MVU PROJECT General Foreman/ acting superintendent structure 2 (2nd stage stripping unit) Supervision of 5 foremen & up to 50 workers. Extremely vertical site (structure 2) 180 feet at the top elevation. Piping tie-ins up to 48” in diameter. Installing piping for 36 large bore heat exchangers, 15 large bore pumps & mechanical systems. Dressing second stage stripping tower 24” & 48” piping Implementing & mandating complete scheduling for this structure Use of 200 foot high tower crane & 225 tonne conventional assigned to structure 2 (Inc heaviest tower crane lift at Suncor to date at 95% capacity)  YOHEMAS PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION LTD. Drawing & organizing iso”s for up to 12 welders working in the fab yard  SLAVE LAKE PULP MILL: Contract pipefitting on stainless piping from .5” to 24” pipe including odd angle mitres on conveyor line piping. Cutting nozzles into vessels & tanks on different degrees tangents. Fabricating & the install of custom stainless guards onto all 8 paper presses. Various pipefitting duties during 3 shutdowns at the mill.  BONNYVILLE WELDING LTD. SUPERINTENDENT CNRL Lakeland district Installing a compressor & separator packages. Complete scheduling and planning from pile layout to start-up of compressor. Fabrication & install of 4 complete modular piping units. Pipeline tie-in to facility Coordinate the install of utilidoor for the modular units.  DEVON ENERGY- FABRICATION OF MULTIWELL OIL GATHERING PADS. Design and layout multi well oil gathering pads. Built sand pads & secondary containment for 1000 & 2000 bbl tanks. Fabricate & install all piping from well heads to the group tanks. Responsible for all QC & testing requirements for turnover.  ENCANA- ON SITE QA/QC MANAGER FOR THE PHASE 1 STEAM TWINNING PROJECT (FOSTER CREEK SAG-D PILOT PLANT). Responsible for all material handling on site. Tracking of client ordered equipment. Testing of all welders on site. Coordinated complete weld mapping & ndt requirements on site. Inspection of all hydro tests as required. Built complete turnover packages for client.  FISHING LAKE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. QA/QC Manager Wrote & and implemented complete quality control program. Constructed a quality system manual for absa submittal & subsequent approval by absa.  COBRA MAINTENANCE LTD. PEACE RIVER AB. PROJECT FOREMAN: SHELL CANADA LTD: SAG-D PRODUCTION COMPLEX. Process revisions and installing new slug catcher tower. Modifying & re-routing piping to facilitate new slug catcher and pumps. All tie-ins were done in severe sour conditions. Prefab and install approximately 2000 weld inches from 6” to 20” pipe. 6
  • 7.  DENMAR ENERGY SERVICES. CNRL-OIL & GAS GATHERING SYSTEM (HEINSBERG). SUPERVISOR: Complete booster station construction. Pile layout and pipe fabrication on site. Critical lift and setting of slug catcher. Setting & tie-ins of separator building & pump houses.  COBRA MAINTENANCE LTD. CREW FORMAN: WILLIAMS ENERGY-WEST STODDART TURN AROUND: FT ST. JOHN B.C. Responsible for 15 man crew, supplied job with 40 tradesmen. Planning and executing various shutdown duties including: -Critical vessel entries (severe sour gas & acid gas situations). -Blinding, deblinding, and start-up of gas plant.  PIPING FORMAN: AEC. LTD- COLD LAKE WINTER PIPELINES. Shop fabrication of approximately 18,000 weld inches. Responsible for all pipe fabrication and progressive quality control. 15,000 prefab pipeline inches. Two compressor modules, ranging from 2” to 20” piping. Two 24”x 80 ft high vent stacks. Fabrication of inlet separator skid, including vessel revisions, all piping, 12” & 16” nozzles. Built two prototype sand separator skid packages.  QUINN CONSTRUCTION LTD. FORMAN: JOFFRE POLYETHYLENE CHEMICAL PLANT. Commissioning of all systems as they are released to the client from the general contractor (e.g. new train loading docks, 2 spheres, & all the high line piping from the water treatment bldg to E-3, & up to Amoco site limits.) In charge of leak response team for all commissioned systems on start-up.
