2) The title is split into two parts with separate fonts to have a formal font for one part and a more youth-oriented font for the other part, similar to "The Princess Diaries".
3) The film's title was decided as "Nobody's Perfect" which is a common phrase that fits the film better than the original consideration of just "Perfect". The "Nobody's" part would be layered on top of "Perfect" as if added angrily.

Our trailer was created to appeal to our target audience through an enticing plot conveyed in a thrilling and dramatic way. The trailer builds suspense by alternating between slow and quick pacing and soft and harsh soundtrack. Special effects like an earthquake effect and echoing scream were added to shots to further disorient and heighten the eerie tone. Dialogue was avoided to maintain suspense, with only a scream used to provide insight into the story while capturing attention.

The film Released uses conventions of the psychological thriller genre in its opening title sequence. Shots include low-key lighting, close-ups of eyes to portray mystery, and scenes in a populated area like Brighton to make the audience feel involved. While adhering to thriller conventions like tension-building music and not revealing characters, one shot of an antagonist walking challenges conventions by revealing a character. The font, contrasting colors, and layered shots are intended to portray a confused mind as in psychological thrillers. Overall the sequence aims to set an atmospheric and suspenseful tone through conventional thriller techniques with some unconventional reveals.

Our film Released follows conventions of the psychological thriller genre through its use of low key lighting, dark shots of Brighton, and close ups suggesting mystery. While having a female protagonist challenges the genre, the opening title sequence aims to be conventionally tense through its building soundtrack mixing radio cuts and conversations. Shots of a busy Brighton and dark clothing aim to portray familiar thriller settings and tones. While some shots reveal characters or have atypical effects, the titles generally stick to thriller conventions through its san-serif title font, contrasting colors, and focus on eyes to portray an unsettled mindstate.
Font research

Title Fonts - Main Task
- 2. FONT 1: • The first font we tried as our title was Aparajita: The Onslaught ADVANTAGES: DISADVANTAGES: The font looked rather sophisticated and smart It’s not quite creepy enough for the film It provides mystery towards the film and what its about It doesn’t fit in with the theme of the film to do with horror I also didn’t like the weight of the text as I felt it varied too much throughout the title I also didn’t like the way that the ‘G’ curved at the bottom as it seemed almost too casual

FONT 2: • Our second font that we had tested out was called Euphemia : The Onslaught ADVANTAGES: DISADVANTAGES: The font is rather basic, which allows for speculation over the genre of film Again, it’s still not quite creepy enough for the film and desired effect The weighting of the text is very consistant throughout, exactly what we’re looking for The way that the ‘L’ has a flick on the end creates too much of a formal look, which again is not our desired effect I also don’t like the way that the ‘G’ curved at the bottom as it seemed almost too casual, which is not our desired effect
- 4. FONT 3: • The last font that we had tested is called Adobe Myungjo Std M: ADVANTAGES: DISADVANTAGES: The font is quite stripped back, allowing for speculation. Some of the letters do look slightly wrong, but fortunately they’re not included in our title The weighting of the text is very consistent throughout, exactly what we’re looking for Although the ‘G’ is curved like the previous fonts, the weight of this font makes it look a lot tidier and more sophisticated The font is also quite creepy, which is perfect for our desired genre The Onslaught
