This is also seen as a Tim Burton film as well because his use of lighting
is also dim and not very well lit throughout the opening to make it tense
for the audience. This opening shows the nature of the film is dark and
foreboding, the music in this film is orchestral and this sort of music is
making it suspenseful to the audience. The colour used is this film is
mainly black and white which connotes to the audience that this director
likes to add eccentricity to his films to show that they are his style, he
also added one of his motifs which is that this film is set in a gothic style
castle which signifies that this character is lonely which could lead to
insanity and when an audience sees this opening they immediately form
an image in their head of what the film is going to be about. In this film
Burton has used similar actors to his other films for example, Johnny
Depp. Burton in this film is sans serif which makes the writing stand out
to the audience.

3. Beetlejuice:
This is also seen as a Tim Burton film because the use of lighting in
this opening is that the writing is Serif which makes it stand out to
the audience and he has also added a background to the writing to
make it seem scary. The music in this film is fast paced and
orchestral and the titles move in time with the music and the music
in this opening is suspenseful to add that extra tension to the
film, also the music in this film is similar to fairground music which
signifies that this film will be a fun but dark adventure for everyone
involved. This film opening holds one of Burton’s motif and that
motif is loneliness because the opening of the movie is a model
village and the colour used in this film is to show that this film could
be a bright film but the writing and the music shows a different side
to the story.
