P7-Props
Microphone , Guitars and Drum kit
Our main props are a microphone guitars and a
drum kit . We decided to used these instruments
because not only does it fit the image we want
but as we have a concept based music video and
are using a pop punk song it seems fitting to use
them as they are part of the image for bands in
the pop punk genre. The drum kit will only be
used when we are shooting in the studio as it
would look out of place in our other locations as
well as this the microphone will also remain in
the studio shots only as is inconvenient and
again will look out of place if used in other
outside shoot.The electric and bass guitar will be
used in our outside locations as well as our
studio band shoots as they are easily removed
and will suit any location and they also help
create a punk image for our band.
Sparklers and Smoke Flares
We will be using the sparklers for our night time shoot in
the field to help have nicely lighted visuals for the last
verse of the song.We decided to use sparklers in our
video because I’m the original video for paramore still
into you they also used sparklers and we liked the way it
reflected of the camera and contrasted with the night
setting , they are also cheap and easy to use with only
minor safety hazards . We also decided to not only use
sparklers but also use coloured smoke flares , there are
many reasons for this decision some being we didn’t
want to only use sparklers as it would be a direct copy
from the original and we liked the idea of having pastel
colours in the air. The smoke flares are also aesthetically
pleasing and we have had first hand experience with the
outcome from attending festivals and events that have
used them. They also fit really well with our genre as it’s
seen to be quite and edgy idea as seen in previous
videos as well as famous ones from paramore
themselves.
Balloons
Balloons we will also be using this for our studio
shook for our pastel visual that fit with our theme
of our song .We decided to use balloons as one
of our props as they give the pop video amongst
all the punk in our video . The balloons are a fun
props to play with and are cheap to purchase so
it keeps our budget low and our video quality
just as high.
They also give of a bubbly nature of the band
and make it fun and exciting for the audience ,
again this is common in the pop punk genre and
there is a divide among a lot of bands images as
they are sub genre of both rock and pop it gives
us a lot of creative freedom for our video .
