The Thomas Swimming Pool, constructed in 1979 with renovations in 1993 and 2002, was audited from January to March 2018. The audit found water loss of over 200,000 gallons per month due to cracks, as well as numerous code violations. Renovation to address issues is estimated at $685,000, while replacing it with a new pool would cost over $2 million. Replacing it with a large splash pad is estimated at $800,000 with annual savings of $150,000. Closing the pool for public input is also an option.
