Big Fish Reflection
Edward Bloom was a story teller. He would tell elaborate stories to his son since he
was born. Not only were the stories exciting, they were told to bring life and
excitement into Edwards life. Growing up, William enjoyed his father s stories. As
time goes on, the stories began to become more and more uneventful and less
entertaining. This was because William has heard the same stories his whole life.
He did not know what was true and what was fake. On his death bed, Edward
reconnects with William by getting him to see that he was not lying his whole life,
just telling his life story in a much more interesting way. Yes, some details were
changed but that does not mean they were all lies. William just did not see that until
the end.
Big fish tells a story of adventure, love, life and death. Edward loved his family most
of all. He let you know many time throughout the film. What stuck out the most to
me was when he finished remodeling Jennifer s house. Jen came on to him. The
love he had for his wife truly showed through when he rejected her affection. This
shows, how that the head of the family loves more than anything: his wife and only
son (Vega). At a young age, Will didn t have the relationship with his father that he
wanted. This was because Edward was often gone for periods of time, traveling and
working. Upon Edwards return, he would tell Will stories of his travels and
adventures. To this end, William was not able to tell if his dads stories were true or

Practical Investigation: Enthalpy of Solution
Introduction
The enthalpy of a substance or solution refers to the chemical energy or heat content
that is stored within the substance. When a substance undergoes a reaction, the
chemical energy in the substance is released or more energy gets absorbed into the
substance; this is known as exothermic and endothermic reactions, respectively.
Within this practical, the aim was to investigate the change in stored chemical energy
of a sodium chloride solution by measuring the temperature change that occurs when
sodium chloride is added to distilled water. The experiment was carried out by using a
calorimeter, to contain any energy that could be released in the reaction, and also a
hand held thermometer and digital thermometer to measure the change in temperature.
Aim
The aim of this practical is to investigate and compare the effectiveness of hand held
thermometers and digital probes through determining the enthalpy of sodium chloride
solutions.
Hypothesis
When the sodium chloride is added into the water inside the calorimeter, an
endothermic or exothermic reaction will occur, indicating a change in enthalpy from
the water to the solution. The digital probe will most likely give a more accurate
reading of the temperature change, thus giving more accurate results.

plants, such as spore germination. An experiment was conducted to see if ammonium
nitrate would indeed help with spore germination pertaining to the C Fern,

The writing process for the Unit 3 paper was both lengthy and challenging. By the
end of Unit 2, I had gathered over twenty different sources to aid me in writing my
Unit 3 paper. I expected the Unit 3 paper to go smoothly, for I had a plethora of
sources at my disposal paired with my knowledge of the topic. However, this was not
the case, and so the writingprocess began. I personally found beginning my papervery

it challenging to think of a good hook for my introduction. When checking my
sources, I remembered citing an article where President Trump made his comments
on the conflict. It was here that I had my Aha! moment. President Trump s remark
spurred further conversation from world leaders, which provided much information

The two solutions are the One State and Two State solutions, and each is self
explanatory. The One State solution would have Israel annex all Palestinian land to
create one large Israeli state. On the other hand, the Two State solution involves
Israel and Palestine becoming two separate states in hopes that it would end the
