The article provides a critical analysis of the 2018 Malayalam film Odiyan, which was based on the folklore of Odiyans, a figure that existed in northern Kerala. The film misrepresented the real culture and practices of Odiyans by failing to accurately portray key aspects of Odiyan folklore, such as their use of a special oil made from human fetuses and ability to shapeshift into animals. In doing so, the film used persuasive techniques to mislead audiences and deviate from the actual indigenous culture for commercial success. While films have the power to spread cultural knowledge, Odiyan prioritized entertainment over authentic representation of Odiyan traditions. The director did not conduct sufficient research on

The influence of patriarchy in marriages in relation to Chick Lit/feminism
A patriarchal society has been an evil and a hindrance to growth in the past, recent and present times. Marriage in relation to patriarchy has had the extreme effect in a deeper sense. Male dominated societies have subordinated women leaving them less influential with no say at all in the activities and decision-making processes. This topic is appealing as it is a trend I have encountered first hand in my community and family as my basic institution. Women have specific designated duties, which are limited to house chores (Carol and Naomi 12). In my family, my mother is in charge of house chores with kitchen as her central office. My interest in women empowerment motivates me to understand the underlying factors that suppress women growth and development.
Some of my hypotheses for this study include: patriarchal systems affected women’s self-worth in marriages. This is by the fact that men had an upper hand and unquestioned control over everything posing women as less significant. Another hypothesis is that patriarchy lead to break-ups in marriages. This can be supported by the fact that women felt peripheral and secondary reviving the desire to seek for appreciation that motivated many to quit their marriages (Prem 16). Another hypothesis would be that patriarchy costs men in terms of humanity. The absolute power makes them lose the human attributes of humility, care and justice, which a core to a healthy human living (Carol and Naomi 10).Through the exploration of the chick lit materials, one gets a better perspective of how patriarchy marriages affect marriages from the standpoint of women who encounter the effects at most.

Abstract
Using the British Sikh community as its research context, this article explores the influence of the Bollywood film genre on what
Vertovic refers to as the ‘‘diasporic consciousness’’ in relation to this community. Bollywood attempts to speak to the diaspora by
conveying a new sense of ‘‘Indian-ness,’’ one that is less about citizenship and more about imagined identity and community. The
authors investigate what they have termed the ‘‘Indian imaginary’’ and how the values embedded therein impact on the lives of
young British Sikhs. The findings discuss three emergent core themes: (1) reaffirming pride in Indian heritage; (2) evoking romance
and longing; and (3) reinforcing family values and a sense of kinship within the British Sikh diaspora. The overall contribution of the

In the commentary: "Bollywood: Postmodernism's Legacy to the INternational Dance World" by Drid Williams the author makes a lot of valid points on Bollywood's impact on the Western world. The article ends stating "...Bollywood and its namesakes may distinguish themselves over time merely as the archetypes of plagiarized, computer-generated, imitative mishmash..." However, this is not a fair representation of Bollywood in my opinion. Bollywood is largely a product of society, like many things in life, and I believe that the tropes used throughout Hindi films will continued to be built upon and grow with Hindi culture. I think that both Bollywood and Hollywood will be looked back upon much like we look back on the classics. As the basis and the foundation of what later multimeda will become.

Indian has thrived and grown in this new globalized world. It is now one of the top three economies and its presence is known in media. Most global citizens have an impression of either Indian's economic power or also its cultural impact. Matusitz and Payano have said diasporic audience of 10 million. However this audience has not reflected in large monetary sums. They also mention a term of "glocalisation." Glocalisation represents innovative cultural hybrids and variations of norms and practices to cater to local preferences and tastes. Therefore Bollywood itself has been that hybrid of indian culture with american film. This term is representative of marketing the industry to position itself for members outside of physically being in India.
Despite its 10 million viewers, why do you think its such a low profit margin industry. Well we should take into concern, copyright and pirating within the global market. America has done a rather good job at protecting its media with the FBI and other agencies. However when it comes to foreign media this is not as regulated because it is not a U.S. good. This paper presents the problems of film makers and film making in Bangladesh and points out how the problems are militating against the prospects of the Bangladesh film industry. It proposes a radical restructuring of the film industry in Bangladesh in order to facilitate its indigenous development. To this end, it suggests the privatization of the film distribution and exhibition sections so as to achieve a viable integration of the whole industry and to promote it as a vehicle for cultural-and socio-economic development of the people of Bangladesh. However we find that these problems can be overcome by initiating quality movies and by incorporating business concept in film making. The authors suggest the film makers to consider film as a project and financing as per the basis of project financing. An all-around effort is needed to help the BFDC so that the present condition can be overcome. It can be develop as industries by which the government will be able to collect huge tax revenue if the film industry can be develop. Not only will the tax revenue, the development of the industry create a large scale direct and indirect employment opportunities.
The article argues that Naga people's separate identity from India is reflected in their consumption pattern of media products, which prefer to consume Western media products instead of Hindi mass culture.

Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
