The document discusses biblical references related to the times and seasons, with a focus on the 2,000 year "church age" and the coming "third day" or Millennial period. It examines symbols of rain and harvest in the Bible as they relate to God's timing and fulfillment of prophecy. Several passages reference a coming outpouring of the Holy Spirit or "latter rain" upon God's people before the return of Jesus Christ.

Popular teaching says that the Sabbath was abolished at when Jesus died on the cross. Is this true? The Bible has clear instructions and identifies whether or not the Sabbath is relevant in our time. In the light of God's glory how does the Sabbath stack up against the other commandments? This Presentation seeks to compare scripture with scripture to obtain a view of what is needed in this end time.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

The times and seasons
1. THE TIMES AND SEASONS
(1Thess 5:1-2) But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no
need that I write unto you.
2) For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a
thief in the night.
(1Thess 5:4-5) But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should
overtake you as a thief.
5) Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of
the night, nor of darkness.
(Hos 6:1-3) Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn,
and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
2) After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up,
and we shall live in his sight.
3) Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going
forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the
rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
(Hos 6:2) …After two days will he revive us: (2,000 year ‘Church-age’)
(2Pet 3:8) But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a
thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
(Rom 11:25) For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be
wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be
come in.
(Hos 6:2) …in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
(3 days are 3,000 yrs. From the birth of Christ)
2. (Matt 17:1) And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them
up into an high mountain apart, (picture of the Advent beginning on the 6,000 year of human history)
(John 2:1-2) And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was
there:
2) And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
The 3rd day pictures the Millennium when Christ and the disciples (friend of the bridegroom) attend a marriage supper.
(Rev 19:7-9) Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is
come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8) And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is
the righteousness of saints.
9) And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.
And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
(John 3:29) He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which
standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is
fulfilled.
(Hos 6:3) Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is
prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and
former rain unto the earth.
(Joel 2:21-23) Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.
22) Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth
her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.
23) Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former
rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in
the first month.
(Zech 10:1) Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright
clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.
(Jas 5:7) Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman
waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and
latter rain.
(Jas 5:17-18) Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it
might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
18) And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
(Rev 11:6) These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and
have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they
will.
(Ps 68:7-9) O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the
wilderness; Selah:
8) The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the
presence of God, the God of Israel.
3. 9) Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was
weary.
(1Kgs 18:41) And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of
abundance of rain.
(Ezra 10:9-11) Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together unto
Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month; and all the
people sat in the street of the house of God, trembling because of this matter, and for the great rain.
10) And Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them, Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange wives,
to increase the trespass of Israel.
11) Now therefore make confession unto the LORD God of your fathers, and do his pleasure: and separate
yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange wives.
(Ps 72:6-9) He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.
7) In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.
8) He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
9) They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.
(Job 29:23) And they waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide as for the
latter rain.
(2Sam 23:3-4) The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must
be just, ruling in the fear of God.
4) And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the
tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.
(Ezek 1:28) As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the
appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the
LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
(Song 2:10-13) My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
11) For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;
12) The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is
heard in our land;
13) The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise,
my love, my fair one, and come away.
(Prov 16:15) In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter
rain.
(Judg 5:4) LORD, when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou marchedst out of the field of Edom,
the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water.
(Luke 17:26) And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
4. (Luke 17:29) But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from
heaven, and destroyed them all.
(Heb 6:7-8) For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth
herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
8) But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be
burned.
(Rev 11:6) These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and
have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they
will.
(Heb 9:28) So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him
shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
(Joel 2:23) Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the
former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter
rain in the first month.
(Acts 2:1) And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
(Lev 23:15) And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought
the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
(Lev 23:16-17) Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer
a new meat offering unto the LORD.
17) Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour;
they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD.
