Israel at 60 - 1) Israel - God's chosen landbibletruth
www.christadelphians.co.uk - The first of a four part series exploring Israel and its significant position in the world. In this opening presentation we look at how it all began; we go back 4000 years and look at how the land of Israel came to be of significance even before the nation itself was born. An understanding of these events is vital in fully appreciating the significance of Israel today.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

What Should be the Christian View of Anime?Joe Muraguri
We will learn what Anime is and see what a Christian should consider before watching anime movies? We will also learn a little bit of Shintoism religion and hentai (the craze of internet pornography today).
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
1. The Team
Hillary thinks to get something done “it takes a village”,
maybe for what she is trying to do that is so;
but for a Christian it takes the body of Christ to
accomplish God’s tasks.
1Cor 3:8-9
8Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and
every man shall receive his own reward according to his
own labour.
9For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's
husbandry, ye are God's building.
Paul uses two types to portray the Body of Christ.
1- A farmer
2- A framer
Farmer:
1Cor 3:5-7 5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos,
but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord
gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the
increase.
2. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing,
neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the
increase.
Framer
1Cor 3:10-13 10 According to the grace of God
which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I
have laid the foundation, and another buildeth
thereon. But let every man take heed how he
buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is
laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold,
silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for
the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by
fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what
sort it is.
All supervisors = no work completed
All electricians, or plumbers, or tile layers does not = a
completed house; each are necessary, but none are
exclusive to the exclusion of the others.
3. Named Nobodies:
Rom 16:3 Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in
Christ Jesus:
Rom 16:9 Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ, and
Stachys my beloved.
Rom 16:21 Timotheus my workfellow, and Lucius,
and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, salute you.
Many techniques are use any a given profession.
How you learn the technique is not as important as
the outcome they produce.
1Cor 3:21-23 21 Therefore let no man glory in
men. For all things are yours;
22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world,
or life, or death, or things present, or things to come;
all are yours;
23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
Rom 14:12 So then every one of us shall give
account of himself to God.
4. The body of Christ is not a one-man job.
Mark 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every
where, the Lord working with them, and confirming
the word with signs following. Amen.
Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher
of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him
endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set
down at the right hand of the throne of God.

32And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to
tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of
Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:
Text: Judg 4:1-16
I. Deborah
5. Judg 4:4
And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she
judged Israel at that time.
Judg 4:6 And she sent and called Barak the son of
Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him,
Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded,
saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take
with thee ten thousand men of the children of
Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?
Judg 4:9
And she said, I will surely go with thee:
notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not
be for thine honour; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into
the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went
with Barak to Kedesh.
Judg 4:14
And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day
in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera into thine
hand: is not the LORD gone out before thee? So
Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten
thousand men after him.
6. II. Barak
Judg 4:6
And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam
out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not
the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and
draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten
thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the
children of Zebulun?
Josh 20:7
And they appointed Kedesh in Galilee in mount
Naphtali, and Shechem in mount Ephraim, and
Kirjatharba, which is Hebron, in the mountain of
Judah.
Josh 21:32
And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in
Galilee with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge
for the slayer; and Hammothdor with her
suburbs, and Kartan with her suburbs; three
cities.
Judg 4:8
And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then
I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will
not go.
Judg 4:14
And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day
in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera into thine
hand: is not the LORD gone out before thee? So
Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten
thousand men after him.
Judg 4:16
But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the
host, unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the
host of Sisera fell upon the edge of the sword; and
there was not a man left.
8. III. Jael
Judg 4:21
Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and
took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto
him, and smote the nail into his temples, and
fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and
weary. So he died.
IV. Barak
Judg 4:22
And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out
to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will
shew thee the man whom thou seekest. And when
he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and
the nail was in his temples.
