Asa did right in the sight of the Lord by removing foreign altars and idols from Judah and commanding the people to seek the Lord. When attacked by the Ethiopians, Asa called out to the Lord for help, and the Lord routed the enemy forces. Later, Asa removed his grandmother as queen for her idolatry and continued bringing dedicated gifts to the Lord's house.
