Within Leah’s first year at The National Society of
Collegiate Scholars:
The national Facebook page grew from 20,000
“likes” to 50,000 “likes.”
@NSCS tripled its followers and quadrupled the
number of tweets sent weekly.
A blog was started and now has 60 regular
contributors, 23 partnerships and is steadily
increasing in number of site visits.
NSCS was awarded “Best Social Media” at the
Association of College Honor Societies Conference.
6. SUCCESSES
The NSCS Summer Success Challenge
The S2 Challenge was a 12-week program
that took place June-August 2012.
Throughout the program, NSCS members
interacted through social media and
completed challenges that helped
prepare them for the upcoming year as
well as well as reflect on their past
semester.
Points and prizes were awarded weekly
and at the end of the 12 weeks
scholarships were rewarded to the top 3 Press releases and articles:
participants with the most points.

and the S2 Challenge was such a success The Hays Daily News
that multiple case studies have been done
on the program.

#FixYoungAmerica
The #FixYoungAmerica campaign is led by
the Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC) to
spread the word and provide solutions to
end youth unemployment. NSCS partnered
with YEC to mobilize their nearly 300
chapters and large membership base to
get involved, spread the word and attract
other friends and organizations with the
ultimate goal to gain the attention and
support of Stephen Colbert to
