The role of technology in the
classroom
In Guatemala kids easily manage
and learn to make use of new
technologies.
All kids can
exponentially
benefit from
the rapid
growth of
technology
and the
variety of
available
devices, until
they are not.
Technology
and public
schools
Technology has
reached the
country of
Guatemala but has
not reached
schools in a way
that involves
children in the
revolution of
technology and
new devices.
Technology in
the classroom
ICT classes seem to
be the best option for
elementary and
middle school so our
children are not left
behind, in the city.
Our rural area
students do no have
the same
opportunity.
Inequality is our
biggest setback.
Technology does not have that big of
a role in Guatemalan’s classrooms.
Technology has
barely reached
Guatemalan
classrooms.
Since we are a
cheap workforce for
companies that
focus their service
in call center for
customer service.
The hope is that at
least private
companies will
invest in technology
at Guatemalan
schools if not our
government.
