2. TECHNOLOGY IS
EVERYWHERE
Technology has
shaped so many
things in our society.
It is imperative that
students be
equipped with
knowledge of
technology to
compete in this ever
changing world.

3. There are many reasons why technology should be
used in our classrooms.
 The best reason in my opinion is that it is simply
fun, if done right .
 It helps motivates students by giving them another
outlet to do their assignments.
 It offers a chance for parents and teachers to
communicate fast and efficiently.

4. We have all become guilty of coming up with excuses
for why we cannot use technology in the class room.
Things such as the students will become distracted, its
too expensive, or it takes away from the
student/teacher relationship. These are among many
excuses that educators have came up with instead of
trying what studies show is very effective in education.

5. Communication in education has really evolved from a
simple letter home. Technology through email has
really allowed teachers and parents to communicate
fast and effective. Many districts also offer parents to
have access to the grade books to have easy access to
their children’s grades.

6. Technology has also been able to motivate students to
try and reach higher goals in their education. Teachers
can use technology to help students apply their
questions to “real-world” applications. It gives students
a chance to express themselves better by applying what
they learn to something that is interesting to them.

7. Technology has also given the opportunity for students
to lead the classroom. They can use technology to
apply what they have learned, and present it in a
different form so that others may understand while the
teacher simply becomes a facilitator.

8. There are many types of technology in a typical
classroom. Here are just a few:
 Handheld Devices (i.e. IPAD)
 Software
 Website Programs
 Classroom Equipment(i.e. SMART board, clickers)
 E-readers

9. Lets face it technology is not going away anytime soon
as a matter of fact its constantly getting better. We as
educators definitely have to keep up with the ever
changing technology. We must strive to learn the
current trends because we might have to use this to
motivate and teach our students to achieve at higher
levels. We must teach our students today so therefore
the teachers of tomorrow will not loose this idea of
how technology can help in our education. So when in
