The respiratory system takes in oxygen and removes carbon dioxide through a series of major organs including the lungs, bronchi, trachea, larynx, pharynx, mouth and nose. It interacts with the circulatory system to exchange gases and the nervous system to control breathing rate. The system works to maintain homeostasis by supplying oxygen to the body and removing carbon dioxide through breathing and the complex exchange of gases within the lungs and bloodstream.

3. The Respiratory System’s is known for
the system that helps you breath. Your
lungs take in oxygen, and eliminates
CO2, or carbon dioxide. Breathing is
the movement of air into and out of the
lungs, and being human, we obviously
need to breath to live. This happens by
the alveoli exchanging the different
gases within your lungs.

4. The major parts and organs in this system
include your
lungs, bronchi, diaphragm, trachea, larynx,
pharynx, and your mouth and nose.
Although your lungs are the most known
parts of this system, we wouldn’t be able
to stay alive without the other parts of
this system.

5. The Respiratory System interacts with the
Circulatory system, where blood vessels are
filled with Carbon Dioxide (CO2), which the
alveoli take in, and then release Oxygen (O).
The blood vessels take in the oxygen, and
travel throughout the body with the oxygen.
The Respiratory System also interacts with
the nervous system because it is what
controls the rate in which you breath. Signals
are sent to your brain, and that is what
controls your natural rate of breath.
