How To Write Literary Essay
Writing an essay on the intricacies of crafting a literary essay presents a unique set of challenges.
First and foremost, it requires a comprehensive understanding of literary analysis, encompassing
elements such as theme, symbolism, characterization, and narrative structure. Navigating the vast
world of literature to find suitable examples and references adds another layer of complexity. It
demands not only a solid grasp of the subject matter but also the ability to articulate one's
thoughts coherently and persuasively.
Crafting a literary essay involves delving into the nuances of a piece of literature, dissecting its
components, and interpreting them in a way that adds depth and insight. The writer must strike a
delicate balance between providing a fresh perspective and acknowledging existing scholarship
on the chosen work. This requires extensive research, critical thinking, and the ability to
synthesize information effectively.
The process of writing such an essay also demands creativity in formulating a compelling thesis
and supporting arguments. Balancing the analytical aspect with engaging prose is crucial to
capturing the reader's attention and maintaining their interest throughout the essay. Moreover,
adhering to the conventions of academic writing, including proper citation and formatting, adds
an extra layer of challenge.
Given the complexity of the task, time management becomes paramount. Developing a well-
structured outline and allocating sufficient time for research, writing, and revisions is essential
for producing a high-quality literary essay. It's not just about expressing personal opinions; it's
about constructing a coherent and well-supported argument based on a thorough analysis of the
literary work.
In conclusion, writing an essay on how to write a literary essay is a challenging endeavor that
demands a blend of analytical skills, creativity, and a deep understanding of literature. It requires
navigating the intricacies of literary analysis, conducting thorough research, and presenting ideas
in a clear and compelling manner. Despite its challenges, successfully crafting such an essay can

The Role Of A Superintendent Within A School District
Introduction Much of this clinical experience has been examining the specific role of
a superintendent within a school district. I found that the reflections as part of the
weekly journal to of particular interest and benefit as I examined he Guiding
Questions for this final synthesis essay. Interestingly, my colleagues in this course
found these reflectionsnot to be beneficial. During one of our class meetings it was
noted that these were not a beneficial exercise and that reflectionwas not needed. To
that, I would counter that reflection s always needed but it is often the easiest item
to overlook. In our hectic administrative world, it is easy to become buried in
Administrivia. Often we do not event take a moment to move from one crisis to the
next. Reflection is the only way we can halt the inexorable march to the end. I for
one, was pleased that we were asked to reflect on each week. I took this as an
opportunity to examine the actions of the superintendentand, in a risk free
environment, provide my perspective on the positive or negative actions observed or
experienced. Hopefully the observations and judgments in those weekly journals
remain an academic exercise and not a communique to my superintendent. As I re
read the journal entries and focus them with the lens of the guiding questions, I have
some final thoughts about my qualifications and idiosyncrasies that may come into
play if ever I was afforded the honor of being a superintendent.

Bluest Eye and Giovanni s Room Essay
Bluest Eye and Giovanni s Room
There are several novels written by two of the worlds most critically acclaimed
literary writers of the 20th century James Baldwin and Toni Morrison. But I would
like to focus on just two of their works, James Baldwin s Giovanni s Room, and Toni
Morrison s The Bluest Eye. In these novels in some way the authors suggest a theme
of how the past is rooted in the present. Now each of these authors shows this in a
different way. This is because of the contrast in their story outline and the structures
of their novels. Yet they both seem to suggest that if the past is not clear then the
present or the future can not be clear as well. One can not run from ones past, it will
only dictate ones future.

He goes on to explain how Joey and him slept together that night, how it made him

he feel about his manhood. This would be one of the most rooted problem of his

David s father was a man who had images of what manhood should be, especially
for his son. David had no one to help him confront this issue. This was an issue he
had to deal with all by himself. The hatred the fear and the reluctance all pushed him
into a callous way of dealing with love. He suppressed this issue so much in his
subconscious mind that it began to illustrate itself in his decision he makes in the
present. David goes on to explain to us the relationship he
Management Theory Essay
Management Theory
The purpose of management is to utilize personnel, assets, and resources to complete
a set of tasks in an effective and efficient manner. Managers have their own styles
when managing projects and personnel, and many theories have been made since the
nineteenth century to determine the best practices. In the nineteenth century during
the Industrial Revolution, as employment in businesses grew, the need for
management increased. Large business owners found a need for theory management
in the workplace in order to effectively and efficiently produce results. Management
became a profession as these theories became common place in the workforce

Dr. Juran s work in quality management was instrumental in the development of the
widely practiced Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing methodologies (Bunkley, 2008).
Dr. Juran consulted with multiple companies to help with improving the quality of
their products. He found that even though the businesses were different, they had
similar quality problems. In 1964, he wrote the book Managing Breakthrough which
identified a universal process for improving quality (Juran, 2004).
Dr. Juran found that the manager provides two basic functions; to create change
(breakthrough) or prevent change (control), and the process is universal. By
following the same steps in either situation, the manager will have a quality end
product (Juran, 1964/1995).

She was appointed as CEO of HP during the decline of the tech boom, at a time

hopeless and inferior because there is no one to stand up for them and support

The Great Betrayal By Modi And The Bjp
The Great Betrayal Act by Modi and the BJP is slowly but steadily unfolding.
Credibility is rapidly diminishing amongst majority of his followers, admirers,
supporters and sympathizers. By aggressive speech making during poll
campaigning, Modi had endeared himself to the Aam Aadmi , particularly sections
of the Middle Class, by raising Great Expectations and hopes among them by Ache
Din Aane Wale Hain slogan. Modi s high decibel campaign promises included:
Good Governance Simple and Smart governance through transparency ; stemming
the rot corruption, particularly in high places; controlling price rise and inflation;
upholding dignity and self respect of women; countering LoC violations and terror
acts firmly; and many others like One Rank One Pension etc., reduced to print in
the BJPs 2014 Election manifesto. A brief review of happenings during the last
two months of Modi s governance provide clear signals on what to expect in
posterity. Transparency is the foremost pre requisite for Good Governance Simple
and Smart governance. Modi has also retracted into what was derisively hailed
during the UPA rule as Man Mohan Singh silent mode. After becoming PM, Modi
has insulated himself from the media glare. Even on the social media network, he
is no longer as aggressive and communicative on key issues as he was during the pre
election orchestra. Why is Modi sulking away from media glare? Is he afraid to face
the media and answer questions on various key issues?

many civilians and aliens were of Japanese descent. These residents were either
second or third generations who has almost lost all ties to their Japanese ancestry.
The mass speculations were gathered from evidence of espionage however the FBI
and other agency jumped to conclusions with this evidence. From Information
Bulletin Number 6 there was evidence of a small network of spies located in the
west coast all of whom were of japanese descent. Their assumption that there was a
mass underground network of japanese spies that were fully cable of causing
sabotages that would disable the west coast defense and leave the whole west coast
vulnerable to a japanese invasion were all assumptions from wartime hysteria and a
lack of evidence to backup their findings.

The five methods of discovery are deposition, interrogatories, and request of the
production of documents, request of physical or mental examinations and request for

litigation. Request for a physical or mental examination A request made by one party
to another party in that lawsuit to undergo a physical or mental examination provided
that the examination involves a condition that is at issue in the pending action.

After twenty eight years working for CBS, Bernard Goldberg decided that he no

began work on his book Bias; a book in which he merely draws attention to the

Goldberg does a great job of integrating all perspectives and sides when writing his
book. As well, he has surely done his share of research. He cites numerous
newspaper and magazine articles, as well as quote upon quote upon quote from
CBS insiders and fellow reporters. He refers to the constant refusal to have a
single left winger be labeled as liberal anywhere in the news, while always labeling
those on the right as conservative. He laughs at how the news has introduced
Catherine MacKinnon (who once implied that all sexual intercourse was rape) as a
noted law professor while Phyllis Schlafly is a conservative spokeswoman (CBS
This Morning, 1981). By the same token, the Wall Street Journal s editorial page is
conservative, but the equivalent editorial page in the New York Times is simply
middle of the road, as the Dan (CBS s nickname for Dan Rather) so elequently puts it.
But the fascinating reason why this book is so compelling is not just what is being
said, but by whose mouth it is spewing from. A formerCBS news correspondent for
nearly three decades, Goldberg is surely not conservative. His motive is not to gain
conservatives approval. In fact, his own political views, being that he s pro choice,
pro gay marriage, and he has never voted for Ronald Reagan (a fact he mentions quite
frequently), make

Devil Wears Prada is a story of a protagonist, Andrea Sachs and her occupational
journey of trying to balance her profession and her social life. Andrea or known as
Andy, has graduated and is hoping for a job as a journalist. Despite her dreams of
becoming a journalist she receives a job at a fashion magazine known as Runway
magazine as an assistant for Miranda Priestly. Throughout the movie, Andy had to
balance her social life and her career pursuit where Miranda had given her many
problematic tasks that Andy had to complete. In the workplace, there will be a wide
variety of instances where you will work hard to complete a task, without receiving
any recognition. Three instances where Andy completed a difficult task... Show more

The task of attaining the manuscript was the breaking point of Andy s workplace,
however as she received the manuscript Andy felt relieved. After getting the
manuscript, Miranda was astonished and started to show Andy respect. After the
completion of this task, Andy had responded in a respectful manner as she
answered Miranda s questions about the manuscript. This was quite humble of
Andy as she achieved an impossible task and still spoke to Miranda in a kind
demeanor. If I was in Andy s shoes I would not do things differently as Miranda is
her boss and is willing to fire Andy. Considering this, I would respond to Miranda
in the same way Andy did as her job is on stake. It is evident that this task was
difficult and a burden for Andy.
Another instance where Andy had to complete a difficult task was memorizing a
protracted list of names for the fashion extravaganza. They had to tell the names of
the guests to Miranda as they approached her. This task was difficult as she had to
memorize all these names by midnight. In one instance, Andy saved Emily as she
forgot the name of one of the guests and Andy whispered the name into Miranda s
ear. Miranda s reaction of this was slightly thankful however mostly neutral. Emily
had a different reaction and was impressed at Andy s work. Andy responded with a
slight nudge and smiled as Emily thanked her. I agree with how Andy responded as
she didn t celebrate that she did something correct and was quite
The Scenarios Of Consumer s Futures 2020 Essay
By 2020, the world could find itself in a myriad of different scenarios, but there is
no one scenario that can accurately represent what the US, let alone the world, will
become even in four short years. The four scenarios in Consumer s Futures 2020
have options that could unfold, but it is unlikely in such a short timeframe.
Nevertheless, the most likely of the four presented scenarios is sell it to me. This is
because the scenario allows people to keep spending and minimizes the work
individuals have to put into becoming more sustainable. It also marks a more
prosperous, flourishing economy that enables citizens the option to buy more
selectively the brands and products that intrigue them. Lastly, this scenario utilizes the
technology that we are already hyper reliant on to generate more personalized
business. Many of these aspects are already occurring to some degree, but I can see
them becoming more prominent over time.
The market is currently well on the mend, with unemployment rates decreasing and
overall incomes increasing. With this increasing upward mobility, consumers want
to buy more and more, as many US citizens measure their prosperity on how much
you can buy (Gondor, 2009). Already emerging is the demand for organic foods to be
sold in conventional grocery stores, as they are available in 3 out of 4 conventional
grocery stores (Greene, 2016). Considerable draw to certified organic food because
consumers associate organic with higher quality (Ploeger,

Similarities Between 1984 And Vonnegut
In the novels, 1984 by George Orwell and Slaughterhouse five by Kurt Vonnegut the
writers use narrative disruption to convey the meaning of their story. Although
Orwell and Vonnegut use the narrative disruption in different manners they both
cause the reader to deviate from a certain trains of thoughts. Orwell and Vonnegut use
foreshadowing, change in narrative pace, and shift in dialogue to display narrative
disruption that causes the reader to gain a deeper understanding of the character.
Vonnegut uses narrative disruption much more directly and in an obvious manner
since Billy Pilgrim travels in time causing him to shift from one story to another.
While Orwell uses it more subtly to depict changes in mood and thought. In 1985,

working with tedious things time goes extremely slow because it is unfulfilling and
draining to participate in conversations with Parson. Time in the cell seems to go on

Why Eddie Van Halen is an Influential Musician Essay
There are certain musicians that come along that shift a culture, attitude, or future
musicians. Another musician that went on influence future generations and
considered one of the greatest guitar players in the world is Eddie Van Halen.
Eddie Van Halen was born in Holland in 1955 and immigrated to Pasadena
California. At the age of seven, Eddie was training as a classical pianist, although
his love for Rock and Roll was developing. He started working a paper route and
used the money to buy a drum set. His brother Alex, also musically inclined, bought a
guitar. After months of practicing, Alex and Eddie switched instruments. Alex would
spend hours on Eddie s drums and loved to play them. Eddie, a little frustrated with

A little later, Eddie heard Michael Anthony on the bass and thought that he was
perfect for their band. Still, something was missing; Alex thought they needed a front
man. He suggested that they let David Lee Roth be the front man, mainly to save the
rent money on the PA system. David Lee came on board and thought the brother s
last name sounded cool, and the rock group Van Halenwas born. On one particular
show, Gene Simmons from Kiss caught Van Halen at the local gig. He offered to
help them out. Gene Simmons flew Van Halen to New York to tape a demo and
introduced them to the Kiss production management. They had no interest in Van
Halen citing that there was no commercial value to Van Halen, so the band went
back to their local gigs in California. During a show in Hollywood, Warner Brothers
records representative Ted Templeman saw their act and signed them less than a
week later for a record deal with the Warner brother s label. They headed out on the
road immediately and caught up with Warner Brothers headliners to open their
shows. The other groups were not very pleased with the band, especially when Van
Halen started getting better reviews. Van Halen was then off to England to open for
another band that Eddie idolized, Black Sabbath. Ozzie was so impressed with the
band that he admitted that Van Halen was outplaying Sabbath. At least that is what
Ozzie said according to the Van Halen camp.
Van Halen went on to record 26 albums in their career with

Introduction
Generally, computer components are two fold, namely hardware and software
components. The hardware requires an operating system (OS) to manage and
coordinate its software resources as well as provide services for computer
application programs [4]. Application programs that run in a computer require an
OS. In essense, the OS acts as a central host that handles hardware operation details
[4]. All computers are run by an OS of some type. Some of the most popular OS
versions in the market are Linux, Windows and FreeBSD [1]. Linux is an open
source development and free software whose source code can be freely used,
redistributed and modified by third party OS developers. The range of Windows
Operating Systems are created by Microsoft Corporation. Unlike Linux, Windows
consists of proprietary closed sources [5]. FreeBSD is an advanced version of OS and

The American Social Security System
The American Social Security system is projected to help people with limited
financial resources, including the poor, the physically disabled, the mentally ill, and
the elderly (Grabianowski 2015). It was created in response to the pervasive poverty
during the Great Depression to provide workers with a basic level of income in
retirement, as well as disability pay and life insurance while they work (Kessler,
2014). In addition to providing benefits for workers, it also covers their dependents,
immediate family members, and even divorced spouses, at the time of serious
accidents or illnesses (Kessler, 2014). The first widespread social securityprogram I
America was the Civil War Veteran pensions in 1982 that supported injured Union
veterans or to their widows. This plan expanded in 1910 to include Civil War veterans
and their survivors (Social Security Administration). As America went into economic
recession following the stock market crash of 1929, the Great Depression brought a
strong focus on the need for a comprehensive system that provided assistance to the
poor and elderly, so they could live independently (Social Security Administration).
In 1934, President Roosevelt formed a Committee on Economic Security (CES),
who came up with a plan that allowed workers to put a small percentage of their pay
into an aggregate account that could be drawn when they retired, to help meet their
monthly expenses, which became the Social Security Act (SSA) in 1935 (Social

The Work Of The Healthcare Field
Hey I m going to need you to stay over a few extra hours is something that most
workers hear more often than not. Working long shifts without a break can drain
you mentally and physically. There are many cases of workplace bullying. There
are also various amounts of websites dedicated to helping victims of workplace
bullying. A personal interview with Amber Mann, a 20 year old coworker of mine
at Sunset Village Retirement Homes, talked about how poor treatment at work
affects how she perseveres through the grueling hours of a horrible work week.
How you get treated at work can affect how you work, your mood and your all
around feelings of being there. Being an employee in an environment that is not
pleasant has a lot of setbacks when it comes to the work that is getting done. The
healthcare field is a demanding twenty four hour a day job. When there is a snow
storm or someone is sick and cannot work it s not as simple as closing the door and
shutting down the facility. So when there is a call off or short staffing than the
usual your workplace needs you motive is instilled and the guilt sets in. Upon
completing eight hours of work and to be told you are forced over another eight
hours when it was never planned is very harsh and frustrating. There are no
incentives to staying over either, it s as simple as stay or get reprimanded. As an
employee at Sunset Village Retirement Home people who are employed at this
facility are being worked till they simply can

Abstract
The United States Postal Service is one of the nations most thriving companies. It has
over 600,000+ employees and is the second largest civilian employer in the United
States. (DeHaven, 2010). While it is one of the countries most thriving businesses it
is not void of faults. To prevent the employees from being mistreated, most post office
branches create unions. The unions not only protect those who take advantage of the
membership but the other employees of the United States Postal Service (USPS) as

At the point that the certain branch of the USPS s union is certified the employer, the
federal government, would then be legally required to negotiate with the union, in
good faith, a legally binding contract covering all of the aspects of employment.
(Office Professional Employees International Union, 2011)
Like anything, with time comes changes and at some point employees might feel as
if the contract they have should be amended and at that point the negotiation process
starts. The APWU would, at this point, begin the negotiation process. To start the
union would create a Contract Action Committee (CAC) filled with active members.
The CAC would then gather key information about things the members want to
amend and plan a contract campaign. This campaign should be created with the intent
to apply pressure to the employer. Once the campaign has started a bargaining team
should be formed and trained. This team will work close with the CAC and negotiate
the contract with the employer. The team will gather information from the union
members and begin to lay negotiation round rules to schedule out the location and
time of negations. They will also arrange leave for the union negotiators. After the
guidelines have been set the next step in the negotiation process is to form a strategy.
In this process, the bargaining team should describe the planned proposal, explain
how it works, describe the problem that is

Karen Perrault attended Jay High School in Jay, Maine from 1981 to 1985. She

state, accompanied by her older brother and her best friend, Lorrina. She recalls the
vast, green sports fields that surrounded the campus, as one of the biggest parts of her
high schoolexperience, for she suited up in her field hockey gear everyday in the
fall and played on them with her team. As fun as the high school years were for her,
she says that it was just another step on the path to being an adult.

was Biology. She liked it because is was captivating and hands on. Her biology
teacher, Mr. Roy, still remains as one of her favorite teachers. He was such a good
teacher because he didn t put a lot of pressure on his students, he made his class
fun, and was very laid back. One her clearest memories of high school academics
happened in his class. In biology, they often conducted dissections. One day while
dissecting eels, (which she wasn t to keen on doing to begin with), Mr. Roy
chased Karen around the classroom with a dead eel for a good five minutes!
Another stand out class for her was freshman English. This class is fondly
remembered because of the teacher, who made the class fun and really connected
with her students, which didn t happen so much when she was in high school.
Some nights, Karen remembers coming home from school, and working on hours
of homework until her eyes could hardly stay open, particularly in her junior year,

Population Growth And The Population Essay
Population Growth
Introduction Population growth is the increase in the number of people through birth
rate and immigration rate within a specific population with respect to the decrease
within the population though emigration rate and death rate. But do all individuals
play a major factor in determining population growth? No, contributions to
population growth vary based on each individual present within the population
(Graham 1985). For example, different ages of individuals hold different weights
that others. This can help is compare the specific age ranges within a group and
will help us lead to further analysis (Werner and Caswell 1977). With this being
said, populations are dependent on different trends and demographic factors that
are occurring that that time within the specific population that is being studied.
Some of these factors include gender and race. These can the predict trends in life
expectancy and survivorship of different populations (Boucekkine, David, and
Licandro 2002) . Discrepancies between races and gender roles have been
smuggled over the years (Duncan 1961). Although, they still hold weight in some
studies within ecology such as life expectancy. African Americans have shown that
they have a lower age average than what American. This could possible be due to
various reason such as health risks like hypertension and cardiovascular disease
(Brondolo, Rieppi, and Kelly et al 2003). In this lab report, we are going to be focus
in on targeting the
The Effects Of Consumerism
Consumerism comes from the verb consume, which is rooted in the Latin word
consumere, meaning to use up or to waste. The noun consumerism also refers to a
movement that promotes the interests of consumers that is, people who purchase
goods, use them, and then buy more especially the protection of these consumers
from things like fraud or price gouging ( Consumerism). Consumerism has changed
over the thousands of years that people have been living. Some people believe that
consumerism is great where it helps stimulate the economy, but other people see it
as an evil force because it hurts people and makes them care less about their self and
the world around them. I can agree with the people that says it is good for the
economy; however, I have seen for myself that consumerism hurts people on different
levels that other factors can not compete with. I believe that excessive consumerism is

It often makes people think that they have to have the newest items, but an
experiment taken on by Alex Martin proves different. Alex Martin is a resident
from Seattle who decided to wear the same dress for a year in a way to protest
against consumerism in the fashion industry (Holt 2). In an interview that I have
read from NBC Learn, she had mentioned that she had seen that people did not
really notice that she had the same dress on every time they saw each other. She
said, We re all so concerned on about our own lives what we re wearing and our work
and our families we don t keep a mental tally of what people are wearing (Holt 2). I
can see her point of view from this angle and I say that I would have to agree with
Alex one hundred percent. From previous experiences, I have seen people wear the
same thing multiple days in a row, but my colleges have not noticed and tend to
believe that they are wearing something new everyday. This is not the mentality
people need to have on a day to day
Evil Communications Corrupt Good Manners In The
Crucible
1st Corinthians 15:33 says be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good
manners . John Proctor one of the main characters in the play Crucible written by
Arthur Miller shows what kind of person he really is. John Proctor appears to be a
good person that is respectful and honest, except for the affair he had with a young
girl by the name of Abigail Williams. John Proctormade some mistakes, and deserves
another chance. John Proctor turns out to be a good person, because in the end he
has self control, loyalty, and dignity. John Proctor was married and had two boys
and another child on the way. He was a family man that made some mistakes, but
made up for it. John had an affair with a young girl by the name of Abigail Williams.

Example Of Conflict Theory
Poverty is often determine by race and ethnicity, in Cohen words America Indians,
Latinos, and African Americans are all about three times more likely to be more
poor than Whites (Cohen 2015: 129) The article How Black Middle Class become
poor Adults by Gillian B White backs this statement up. The article talks about how
black parents that live in the middle class are more likely to see their kids go down
the ladder and become poor. This theory exist because black children don t have the
same educationthat a white can have growing up, when a black kid grows up the
chances of them becoming single parents are 4 out of 10 and because they still face
segregation in some work places that don t let them progress, the povertyamong
whites is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Supporting this statement Cohen explains the following The best chance for children
from poorer families to move up comes from expanding higher education system. But
children from higher social classes are much likely to make through that system
and emerge into a privilege class in adulthood (Cohen 2015: 144) this problem of
wealth inequality is connected to the conflict theory. The conflict theory states
that Society is divided because inequalities in wealth, power and prestige, only
benefiting some people. Privileged individuals are the ones who make a living out
the power and prestige that they have in society, the power and prestige come from
the social capital that only the rich have. Belonging to a group, such as family or an
exclusive club, makes it possible for people to draw from the resources held by all of
its members (Cohen 2015: 117) Let s look at this way, rich people have the
availability to stay rich because they know people who can help them either get a
good job or because they simply have the money to put their kids in good schools and

Specificity In Coding
I think all coding is important, but since I have to choose between level of
specificity and impending or threatened conditions. I would say level of specificity
is more important. Level of specificity refers to the amount of detail included in the
code and is important in diagnosis coding. Mrs. Pavey mention we can t code
impending or threatened instead code the signs and symptoms. In order to prove
medical necessity and get reimbursement I will say both are important. I think all
topics are relevant to learn coding. We need to learn it all if we are going to be coding.

Night Terror Vs Nightmares Research Paper
Nightmares Vs Night Terrors:
People don t really know the difference between nightmares and night terrors unless
they experience it. Nightmares and Night terrors are somewhat similar but different
in many ways. A nightmare is basically a terrifying dream in which the dreamer
experiences various feelings such as helplessness, extreme anxiety, sorrow, etc. Night
terrors are a form of sleep disorder in which a person partially awakens from sleep in
a state of terror. (alaska sleep)The reason I choose this topic was because I think it s
something that would be beneficial to learn, I wanted to know the difference between
them, and how the person reacts. All that kind of stuff is interesting to me. It s also

Other reasons can be confusion, guilt, disgust, and sadness. (Stanford For Kids)
When someone fears something they are frightened or when someone sees a horror
movie they react differently than when they see a comedy movie. This is because
horror movies build up tension which makes us curious, but also terrified of what
might happen or pop out. Nightmares can help us find out fears that we have, but
never knew we had. If it s not fear that causes nightmares than it is most likely
confusion, guilt, disgust, etc. Which can stay with you longer than a nightmare
caused by fear.
Having a lot of stress can be one of the main reasons to have a nightmare. Having a
nightmare that is caused by stress is actually helpful, it helps get rid of all the stress,
since you let most of your emotions out through nightmares. When you get so
overwhelmed during a nightmare you will probably be tired afterwards. This means
that after your nightmare you will be more relaxed because all your emotions, stress,
and fear is gone. Having nightmares really does help, let out all negative thoughts or
negative things in general. The reasons for having night terrors are actually similar

What Is The Symbolism In The Alchemist
The Alchemist is a novel written by Paulo Coelho in 1988. Regarded as Coelho s
best novel, it captures the elixir of life through the view of a sanguine Spanish

him about a hidden treasure nigh the Egyptian pyramids. After the dream relapses

Left Brain vs. Right Brain
Left Brain vs. Right Brain According to the theory of left brain or right brain
dominance, each side of the brain controls different types of thinking. (Cherry
2012) From books to television programs, you ve probably heard the phrase
mentioned that people are either right brained or left brained thinkers or perhaps
you have gone online to take a test to see which one you are. Psychologist have
been researching the brain to try and understand learning capability s that can help
with such things as epilepsy, dyslexia and other seizure and learning problems. The
right brain left brain theory came from the work of Roger W. Sperry, who was
awarded the Nobel Prize in 1981. While studying the effects of epilepsy, Sperry
discovered that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In a nutshell, we humans do not literally have two brains, but we do have two
simultaneous systems of mental organization and functioning each whole and
complete in itself, each having highly specialized skills. As some scholars have
summarized it: the left brain does, the right brain is. This is, however, an
oversimplification, for quite clearly both the hemispheres are active, though in
markedly different ways. As Karl Schmitz Moormann has noted, the right brain
cannot accurately be considered a passive partner in the human enterprise. Indeed,
since the right hemisphere is responsible for our holistic perception of the world,
one might argue that it is the dominant one, with the left brain functioning as
analyzer for the right brain s perceptions ... a servant of the right brain (
Philosophical and Theological Reflection, 255). While considering the new
research and the old research, it is safe to say that both sides of the brain act
equally in ways we process information. It is how we interpret the information
individually that makes us either a right brain thinker or a left brain thinker but no
matter what side is your preference, we are all capable of learning the same
information. References Understanding the Myth and Reality of Left Brain and Right

Questionnaire On Noodles
Noodles are known for their widely consumption throughout the world. Wheat flour
which is usually used to make instant noodles has low fibre and protein contents
(lysine). Legumes are becoming popular in various food applications as it is rich in
fibre and protein. This study was carried out to establish the proportions of cowpea
flours that would produce good quality noodles, in composite with soft wheatflour.
Up to 50% cowpea flour substitutions were made. The following parameters were
investigated on the flours: functional properties and proximate composition. For the
preferred noodle by the sensory panels; cooking qualities and proximate composition
were determined. Sensory evaluation was conducted to assess the acceptance
preference of the products. The results showed that moisture content of flours affects
the final quality of noodles. Wheat and cowpea at 70:30 had high cooking weight

127 Hours Film Techniques
With the continuous development of advertising and communication, film trailers are
a key resource used in this industry to persuade audiences to view a film. To allow a
sense of anticipation towards the audience the elements of the storyline, music,
themes, camera angles as well as the characters and actors are all used incorporation
to achieve this. This identified strategy is a significant tool used in effective
communication to efficiently persuade the audience to view the film, based on their
emotional response. This approach is both used in the two 2012 inspiring films

In 127 Hours the camera angles chosen not only enhanced the intensity of the scene,
but enhanced the desired emotion portrayed. For example, in the opening scene the
use of a split screen showing different stages of the protagonist life imply to the
audience his being stages of reflection. This feature encourages the audience to
connect with the main character and relate to his overall struggles. The use of a
camera recorder throughout the trailer is a narrating technique used by the director to
imply a more intimate connection between the audiences. The audience members can
easily connect with the emotions, this is a persuasive technique which in turn, is an
effective tool of communication. Hyper sensory is also used as a form of
communication to influence the emotional response from the audience. The music
used throughout the trailer is comfortable and relaxing whilst allowing the audience
to focus on the elements of significance. The Impossible uses serval visual features in

the directors use flashes of black scenes to impact the effect of the tsunami. This
visual feature is also used incorporation with the striking music of intensity to again,

Analysis Of The Fable The Fox And The Grapes
The Admirations and Challenges of hopes, goals, and pride There are two kinds of
pride, both good and bad. Good pride represents our dignity and self respect. Bad
pride is the deadly sin of superiority that reeks of conceit and arrogance (Maxwell).
In the Fable, The fox and the grapes Aesop writes about a fox who ventures out into
a vineyard full of grapes, unable to obtain the grapes the fox walks away, however
not without saying his last and final words. Aesop employs determination of the
fox, the significant location of the grapes, and belligerent attitude of the fox to
portray the theme of pride. Naturally, when individuals or animals are keen, they
will discover a path to get nutrition. In the Fable, the fox comes along a vineyard
where there are delicious clusters of ripe grapes, his lip starts to relish for the
grapes (Aesop 275). Indeed, the ideas that cause individuals to savory does not

teachers, professors, or significant others, all of any race or cultural background.
When meeting someone for the first time, it is very easy to make assumptions about
that person without knowing anything about them at all. We re all human, we all do
this. In her essay, A Prostitute, a Servant, and a Customer service Representative: A
Latina in Academia, Associate Professorin the Department of Critical Culture,
Gender, and Race Studies, Carmen Lugo Lugo claims that what students assume
about their professors advocates their attitude toward their education. Racial
stereotypes challenge us to consider our own expectations of what we should get
out of a college education, and who or what constitutes a college professor. She
vigorously uses emotional appeals and establishes her tone of voice using style and
word choice in a concerned, direct manner to argue that students make personal or
racially biased assumptions about their teachers/professors, resulting in a lousy
attitude towards education. Throughout the essay, Lugo Lugo uses personal
experiences and builds bridges with her audience to further establish emotional
appeals. Carmen Lugo Lugo is a woman of color, specifically a Latina. Latinos have
become so stereotyped, that people s portrayals and descriptions of them have
become so ingrained in their minds that

natural that any foreigner would want more money and especially in a placed where

the seven given rights outlines within the CopyrightAct.
The contracts between artists, authors, inventors, and their companies and publishers

Many laws and punishments have been written to prevent piracy and its

Simply scribbling over a copyright notice in a book is a twenty five thousand

within a six month period, the culprit may be fined a sum worth a given ratio to the
value of the stolen products as well as a sentenced of one to five years in prison.
given the severity of the situation, fines can range from five hundred thousand to one
million dollars (Stim, 315 319). The prison sentence can also be extended to up to ten
years.
When taken to court, cases of copyright infringement become extremely hazy. The
victim must prove not only that the material is a copy or semblance of their product.

Steel frame:
Steel frame structures are made as the name suggest from steel, the material is strong
and flexible. When weight is added it bends without cracking. Another characteristic
of steel is that its plasticity or ductility, meaning that when force is added it won t
crack however it will lose shape therefore giving warning for people to evacuate the
building. A disadvantage of steel is that is loses strength when subject to fire. Studies
have shown that it can loose up to half its strength when subject to fire, therefore
making it imperative to cover the steel with boards or spray on.
Steel construction is used in
High rise building because of its strength, light weight and the speed in which it can
be constructed.
Industrial buildings and warehouse buildings because of the ability to create large

Temporary structure as its quick to set up and remove.
Steel fabrication: this is when steel is cut to the desire length generally on site and
then weld them together to create the final building. This is generally labor intensive
however it can reduce time.
Bolted steel construction: this is when the main bulk of the construction is pre made
at the workshop then bolted into place on site. This tends to be the preferred methods
as it saves time and money as well having the right working conditions.

How To Read In Elementary School
In elementary school the one subject I always would struggle with was spelling. At
the end of every week we would have a spelling test based on a set of words that
came from a vocabulary or spelling workbook. On Mondays at the beginning of
class we would receive the previous week s test and examine the words for the test
that week. I would always study and would try a million different methods, even
coming up with my own unique methods to study. No matter what process I used
my grade would always end up being poor. My mom would always be on me about
doing better on the test but nothing would come about from that. So, my mom
decided to get involved and attempt to raise my grades. At first she tried studying
with me. She would go over the words with me and use the methods I had
previously used myself. After studying with my mom, I would always feel more
confident but the grades I would receive were still subpar. It was frustrating. For
some reason, it was just a task for me to spell. I would make up fake dieses with my
best friend Becca like spellyosis, the inability to spell. We would have to participate
in the class spellingbee and I would... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When she found out that she was going to help me with spelling she bought new
pencils and set up an area at their house just for me. She felt like she was back in a
classroom. She loved teaching and still to this day I think she misses it a lot. I was
excited because I got spend time with my grandma and she would help improve
my spelling. Then the first study session happened. I never saw my Grandma s
somewhat mean teaching side. She was never actually mean just very tough. I get
frustrated easily and at first didn t take to my grandmas teaching style well. I was
frustrated and was having a bad time but I put up with it. Then the first test came
however and I did far better than I was doing before! That completely changed my
attitude on spelling with my
Enzyme Catalysts, Questions And Answers
A.
1.Describe two important features that make all enzymes catalysts.
In biological reactions, enzymes function as catalysts to speed up the rate of chemical
reactions by lowering the activation energy without being consumed.
4. Explain the reactions catalyzed by enzymes in the first two steps of fructose
metabolism in the liver, including each of the following:
в—Џ The substrates acted on
в—Џ The enzyme catalysts
в—Џ The products generated
Fructose enters the metabolic pathway by first being phosphorylated which means
the addition of a phosphate group. The enzyme responsible for this is fructokinase
which is found in the liver. This reaction forms fructose 1 phosphate. Fructose 1
phosphate must be broken down by a second enzyme called aldolase ... Show more

Pyruvate dehydrogenase catalyzes pyruvate to form acetyl CoA which is the fuel
for the citric acid cycle. A defect in this enzyme would essentially stop the citric
acid cycle from working as it is the starting point of the entire thing. NADH and
FADH2 would not be produced which would also stop the electron transport chain.
The electronic transport chain is where oxidative phosphorylation occurs. Without
NADH and FADH2 being produced, enzymes in the mitochondria would not be
able to use NADH to add H to O2, the process in which phosphate is added to ADP
to make ATP. Overall, without pyruvate dehydrogenase, there is no citric acid cycle,
no NADH and FADH2, no electron transport chain, and no

I will instruct them to work in pairs and exchange the information with each other. I
will also do board game with students asking students to write their information on
the board and the class guesses questions about the student. It s a great warming up
activity for the students. At the same time it gives confidence for the student to share
their information with the whole class. If time allows I will do a mini class activity
like True and False statements. I will write five sentences about myself out of which
two sentences are false, asking students to guess the right sentence. Then asking
students to do this activity in pair. All this fun activities will put students at ease with
each other and open them for learning.
b) Problems associated with teaching adult learners and right approach in teaching.
Teaching adult learner can be challenging especially if they come from very
traditional background. Most of them will be coming to college after a long break.
Adults have problem centred approach to learning and have established values,
beliefs and opinions. They may need help in acquiring study skills and techniques
and more time to grasp new concepts. Adult learners are also result oriented and
come to college with specific results in mind and can drop out easily if course does
not lead to results. Most of them will be self directed and will not be dependent on
others for direction.
David Edelstien s Review
The movie Avatar, by James Cameron, was a well loved movie currently rated
second in box office, meaning there are hundreds of reviews that have been made.
An article in The New Yorker by David Edelstien is one of the many positive
reviews of this movie. The way that Edelstien handles his review is unique.
However, there are aspects of his review that are not pleasing. To start off, Edelstien
is very quick in expressing is enjoyment for Avatar, referring to it as a mighty ode to
Gigantism and Awesomeness. After this point, the writer goes to talk about the
subject. The impressive part of this review is the way Edelstien decided to approach
the subject. The fact that Edelstien uses the analogy of Native Americans versus
capitalist imperialists
Analysis Of Native Americans In The Searchers
In the 1900s Native Americans were viewed differently from the other races that
existed. Some saw them as savages and animals while others saw them as nothing,
a waste of resources and land. They re portrayed as uncivilized villains in the
movies we watch now, but not all Natives were evil and vicious. Natives back then
were human and still are today. Some are downright vile and the few that are left
are understanding, pleasant, and peaceful. Although both The Searchers directed by
John Ford and The Captive painted by Eanger Irving Couse conveys the nobility of
the Native Americans, Director John Ford emphasizes Native American lifestyle
whereas Artist Eanger Irving Couse views Native American humanity. Due to the
distance between the Native Americans and the white men and women, it was seen
as morally wrong to have a relationship between the two. In the movie, The
Searchers, the Comanche tribe kidnapped Debbie and Lucy Edwards, two Texan
farmer daughters, and the nieces of Ethan Edwards. Sadly, Lucy is killed, but
Debbie survives and adapts to their way of life. She spends five years with the
Comanche because they wanted her to become one of them. The Captive painted by
Eanger Irving Couse, shows an unconscious white woman inside of a tipi with a
Native staring at her longingly. In the painting, it feels like the painter was
humanizing the Native, by showing that he wasn t a savage. It felt that the Native
was empathizing and mourning her. Chief Five Crows, the Native,
Reflection Paper On Plane Alone
Ugh! No! that was my first reaction when my mom told me that I had to ride a
plane alone. 13 hours! How am I supposed to endure that long time, by myself? Is
she seriously expecting me to be fine after? I thought it was ridiculous and
impossible. However, from the deep corner of my mind, something ensured me that
I m going to be fine. Rachel, you will be going to have a free timethat no one will
disturb it, that voice was even luring me! So, of course, I fell into that lure.
Thanks to God, my seat was the aisle, and few women, who looked like a tourists,
sat next to me. They looked nice, so I was relieved. Time to set up my seat , I
thought. My routine for making my seat was like this: First, I put my bag under the
front seat, taking out my phone and the charger. Then I open the blanket that was
given from the plane, put the small pillow on my back, and plug in my earbud. Lastly,
I turn on the monitor and pick some songs that I will listen throughout the flight.
These make the best seat for the flight; trust me, I know it well.
After the take off, soon the flight attendants came with the foods. Oh yes, the best
part of the flight! The combination of eating and listening music at the same time is
always fantastic; those two are my favorite things to do. Although the quality of the
foods was not as good as the foods I usually eat, it was still delicious.
I got really bored after I eat, so I decided to watch the Beauty and the Beast one more
time. Such a good movie with
Patrick Henry Dbq
Give me liberty, or give me death, proclaimed the revolutionary activist Patrick Henry
as he and his fellow Americans fought towards an independent nation free from the
monarchical Britain. With the American revolution, King Louis XVI sent French
soldiers to America to purposely aid the new country, but accidentally implanted the
idea for revolution in France, too. As the rising debt and unjust taxation of France
climbed even higher, the Third Estate of France declared themselves the new
lawmakers of France with these French soldiers from America instituting key
revolutionary ideas. In June 1789, this Tennis Court Oath started the monstrously
long attempt the French made to institutionalize their own freedom, liberty, and
equality. Parisians... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One of these conflicting beings included AbbГ© SieyГЁs, a man who claimed the
authority of changing the calendar was not in anyone s hands at the time. In 1793,
he directly responded to the Committee of Public Instruction s proposal for the
calendar change by attempting to persuade them to reject the calendar since it was
extremely conflicting in accordance to the past and neighboring nations. Moreover,
SieyГЁs informed the Committee that it was not their nor any other person s
authority to alter the long standing calendar. In 1794 from the town of Г‰tampes,
a concerned peasant wrote a letter bringing forth similar troubles in regards to
SieyГЁs. The countryman provided evidence that nine days of work for those
involved in manual labor can be difficult. This contradicts Letourneux s idea that a
nine day work week was ideal, but to an actual laborer, it is unbearable and
discontented. This peasant openly contributed to the feelings of those in the smaller
towns, struggling villages, and even bustling cities. Finally, a recalled member to the
National Convention, Pierre Joseph Denis prodded a finger at the Jacobins and
further described them as the sole reason for a return to old absolutist ways through
initiating the calendar. As have being a member of the National Convention and
working side by side to Jacobins for some time, Denis understood their

  • 2. The Role Of A Superintendent Within A School District Introduction Much of this clinical experience has been examining the specific role of a superintendent within a school district. I found that the reflections as part of the weekly journal to of particular interest and benefit as I examined he Guiding Questions for this final synthesis essay. Interestingly, my colleagues in this course found these reflectionsnot to be beneficial. During one of our class meetings it was noted that these were not a beneficial exercise and that reflectionwas not needed. To that, I would counter that reflection s always needed but it is often the easiest item to overlook. In our hectic administrative world, it is easy to become buried in Administrivia. Often we do not event take a moment to move from one crisis to the next. Reflection is the only way we can halt the inexorable march to the end. I for one, was pleased that we were asked to reflect on each week. I took this as an opportunity to examine the actions of the superintendentand, in a risk free environment, provide my perspective on the positive or negative actions observed or experienced. Hopefully the observations and judgments in those weekly journals remain an academic exercise and not a communique to my superintendent. As I re read the journal entries and focus them with the lens of the guiding questions, I have some final thoughts about my qualifications and idiosyncrasies that may come into play if ever I was afforded the honor of being a superintendent. Bluest Eye and Giovanni s Room Essay Bluest Eye and Giovanni s Room There are several novels written by two of the worlds most critically acclaimed literary writers of the 20th century James Baldwin and Toni Morrison. But I would like to focus on just two of their works, James Baldwin s Giovanni s Room, and Toni Morrison s The Bluest Eye. In these novels in some way the authors suggest a theme of how the past is rooted in the present. Now each of these authors shows this in a different way. This is because of the contrast in their story outline and the structures of their novels. Yet they both seem to suggest that if the past is not clear then the present or the future can not be clear as well. One can not run from ones past, it will only dictate ones future. I would ... I started to move and to make some kind of joke but Joey mumbled something and I put my head down to hear. Joey raised his head as I lowered mine and we kissed, as it were, by accident.(Giovanni s room Pp. 13) He goes on to explain how Joey and him slept together that night, how it made him feel, how frightened he really was. He also expresses to us the sham that it made he feel about his manhood. This would be one of the most rooted problem of his past that would hunt his future. And it was not like he could tell his father, for David s father was a man who had images of what manhood should be, especially for his son. David had no one to help him confront this issue. This was an issue he had to deal with all by himself. The hatred the fear and the reluctance all pushed him into a callous way of dealing with love. He suppressed this issue so much in his subconscious mind that it began to illustrate itself in his decision he makes in the present. David goes on to explain to us the relationship he

In the nineteenth century during the Industrial Revolution, as employment in businesses grew, the need for management increased. In 1964, he wrote the book Managing Breakthrough which identified a universal process for improving quality (Juran, 2004). Dr. Juran found that the manager provides two basic functions; to create change (breakthrough) or prevent change (control), and the process is universal. By following the same steps in either situation, the manager will have a quality end product (Juran, 1964/1995). Credibility is rapidly diminishing amongst majority of his followers, admirers, supporters and sympathizers. By aggressive speech making during poll campaigning, Modi had endeared himself to the Aam Aadmi , particularly sections of the Middle Class, by raising Great Expectations and hopes among them by Ache Din Aane Wale Hain slogan. Modi s high decibel campaign promises included: Good Governance Simple and Smart governance through transparency ; stemming the rot corruption, particularly in high places; controlling price rise and inflation; upholding dignity and self respect of women; countering LoC violations and terror acts firmly; and many others like One Rank One Pension etc., reduced to print in the BJPs 2014 Election manifesto. Transparency is the foremost pre requisite for Good Governance Simple and Smart governance. Modi has also retracted into what was derisively hailed during the UPA rule as Man Mohan Singh silent mode. After becoming PM, Modi has insulated himself from the media glare. Even on the social media network, he is no longer as aggressive and communicative on key issues as he was during the pre election orchestra. Why is Modi sulking away from media glare? Goldberg does a great job of integrating all perspectives and sides when writing his book. As well, he has surely done his share of research. He cites numerous newspaper and magazine articles, as well as quote upon quote upon quote from CBS insiders and fellow reporters. He refers to the constant refusal to have a single left winger be labeled as liberal anywhere in the news, while always labeling those on the right as conservative. He laughs at how the news has introduced Catherine MacKinnon (who once implied that all sexual intercourse was rape) as a noted law professor while Phyllis Schlafly is a conservative spokeswoman (CBS This Morning, 1981). By the same token, the Wall Street Journal s editorial page is conservative, but the equivalent editorial page in the New York Times is simply middle of the road, as the Dan (CBS s nickname for Dan Rather) so elequently puts it. But the fascinating reason why this book is so compelling is not just what is being said, but by whose mouth it is spewing from. A formerCBS news correspondent for nearly three decades, Goldberg is surely not conservative. His motive is not to gain conservatives approval. In fact, his own political views, being that he s pro choice, pro gay marriage, and he has never voted for Ronald Reagan (a fact he mentions quite frequently), make

This was quite humble of Andy as she achieved an impossible task and still spoke to Miranda in a kind demeanor. If I was in Andy s shoes I would not do things differently as Miranda is her boss and is willing to fire Andy. Considering this, I would respond to Miranda in the same way Andy did as her job is on stake. It is evident that this task was difficult and a burden for Andy. Another instance where Andy had to complete a difficult task was memorizing a protracted list of names for the fashion extravaganza. They had to tell the names of the guests to Miranda as they approached her. This task was difficult as she had to memorize all these names by midnight. In one instance, Andy saved Emily as she forgot the name of one of the guests and Andy whispered the name into Miranda s ear. Miranda s reaction of this was slightly thankful however mostly neutral. Emily had a different reaction and was impressed at Andy s work. Andy responded with a slight nudge and smiled as Emily thanked her. The Scenarios Of Consumer s Futures 2020 Essay By 2020, the world could find itself in a myriad of different scenarios, but there is no one scenario that can accurately represent what the US, let alone the world, will become even in four short years. The four scenarios in Consumer s Futures 2020 have options that could unfold, but it is unlikely in such a short timeframe. Nevertheless, the most likely of the four presented scenarios is sell it to me. This is because the scenario allows people to keep spending and minimizes the work individuals have to put into becoming more sustainable. It also marks a more prosperous, flourishing economy that enables citizens the option to buy more selectively the brands and products that intrigue them. Lastly, this scenario utilizes the technology that we are already hyper reliant on to generate more personalized business. Many of these aspects are already occurring to some degree, but I can see them becoming more prominent over time. The market is currently well on the mend, with unemployment rates decreasing and overall incomes increasing. With this increasing upward mobility, consumers want to buy more and more, as many US citizens measure their prosperity on how much you can buy (Gondor, 2009). Already emerging is the demand for organic foods to be sold in conventional grocery stores, as they are available in 3 out of 4 conventional grocery stores (Greene, 2016). Considerable draw to certified organic food because consumers associate organic with higher quality (Ploeger,

Although Orwell and Vonnegut use the narrative disruption in different manners they both cause the reader to deviate from a certain trains of thoughts. Orwell and Vonnegut use foreshadowing, change in narrative pace, and shift in dialogue to display narrative disruption that causes the reader to gain a deeper understanding of the character. David Lee came on board and thought the brother s last name sounded cool, and the rock group Van Halenwas born. On one particular show, Gene Simmons from Kiss caught Van Halen at the local gig. He offered to help them out. Gene Simmons flew Van Halen to New York to tape a demo and introduced them to the Kiss production management. They had no interest in Van Halen citing that there was no commercial value to Van Halen, so the band went back to their local gigs in California. They headed out on the road immediately and caught up with Warner Brothers headliners to open their shows. The other groups were not very pleased with the band, especially when Van Halen started getting better reviews. Van Halen was then off to England to open for another band that Eddie idolized, Black Sabbath. Ozzie was so impressed with the band that he admitted that Van Halen was outplaying Sabbath. Most importantly, the data structures used in block and character devices for Windows and FreeBSD are also compared against those of Linux operating system. With respect to I/O operations, this study specifically examines the different types of devices, I/O scheduling, and so forth, and compares their implementation in Windows and FreeBSD versus Linux. Introduction Generally, computer components are two fold, namely hardware and software components. The hardware requires an operating system (OS) to manage and coordinate its software resources as well as provide services for computer application programs [4]. Application programs that run in a computer require an OS. In essense, the OS acts as a central host that handles hardware operation details [4]. All computers are run by an OS of some type. Some of the most popular OS versions in the market are Linux, Windows and FreeBSD [1]. Linux is an open source development and free software whose source code can be freely used, redistributed and modified by third party OS developers. The range of Windows Operating Systems are created by Microsoft Corporation. Unlike Linux, Windows consists of proprietary closed sources [5]. • 17. The American Social Security System The American Social Security system is projected to help people with limited financial resources, including the poor, the physically disabled, the mentally ill, and the elderly (Grabianowski 2015). It was created in response to the pervasive poverty during the Great Depression to provide workers with a basic level of income in retirement, as well as disability pay and life insurance while they work (Kessler, 2014). In addition to providing benefits for workers, it also covers their dependents, immediate family members, and even divorced spouses, at the time of serious accidents or illnesses (Kessler, 2014). The first widespread social securityprogram I America was the Civil War Veteran pensions in 1982 that supported injured Union veterans or to their widows. This plan expanded in 1910 to include Civil War veterans and their survivors (Social Security Administration). As America went into economic recession following the stock market crash of 1929, the Great Depression brought a strong focus on the need for a comprehensive system that provided assistance to the poor and elderly, so they could live independently (Social Security Administration). In 1934, President Roosevelt formed a Committee on Economic Security (CES), who came up with a plan that allowed workers to put a small percentage of their pay into an aggregate account that could be drawn when they retired, to help meet their monthly expenses, which became the Social Security Act (SSA) in 1935 (Social Security

The APWU would, at this point, begin the negotiation process. To start the union would create a Contract Action Committee (CAC) filled with active members. They will also arrange leave for the union negotiators. After the guidelines have been set the next step in the negotiation process is to form a strategy. • 21. Population Growth And The Population Essay Population Growth Introduction Population growth is the increase in the number of people through birth rate and immigration rate within a specific population with respect to the decrease within the population though emigration rate and death rate. But do all individuals play a major factor in determining population growth? No, contributions to population growth vary based on each individual present within the population (Graham 1985). For example, different ages of individuals hold different weights that others. This can help is compare the specific age ranges within a group and will help us lead to further analysis (Werner and Caswell 1977). With this being said, populations are dependent on different trends and demographic factors that are occurring that that time within the specific population that is being studied. Some of these factors include gender and race. These can the predict trends in life expectancy and survivorship of different populations (Boucekkine, David, and Licandro 2002) . Discrepancies between races and gender roles have been smuggled over the years (Duncan 1961). Although, they still hold weight in some studies within ecology such as life expectancy. African Americans have shown that they have a lower age average than what American. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In a nutshell, we humans do not literally have two brains, but we do have two simultaneous systems of mental organization and functioning each whole and complete in itself, each having highly specialized skills. As some scholars have summarized it: the left brain does, the right brain is. This is, however, an oversimplification, for quite clearly both the hemispheres are active, though in markedly different ways. As Karl Schmitz Moormann has noted, the right brain cannot accurately be considered a passive partner in the human enterprise. Indeed, since the right hemisphere is responsible for our holistic perception of the world, one might argue that it is the dominant one, with the left brain functioning as analyzer for the right brain s perceptions ... a servant of the right brain ( Philosophical and Theological Reflection, 255). While considering the new research and the old research, it is safe to say that both sides of the brain act equally in ways we process information. It is how we interpret the information individually that makes us either a right brain thinker or a left brain thinker but no matter what side is your preference, we are all capable of learning the same information. With reference to the situation that the cartoon is about, the evil that is succeeding is the Nazi Party, symbolized by the swastika flag, and this evil is triumphing due to the lack of action from the good Pius XII. A quick glance at this cartoon could result in a viewer misreading the cartoon, perceiving the author s message as Pius XII sealing the fate of the prosecuted Jews, but a closer

At the end of every week we would have a spelling test based on a set of words that came from a vocabulary or spelling workbook. On Mondays at the beginning of class we would receive the previous week s test and examine the words for the test that week. I would always study and would try a million different methods, even coming up with my own unique methods to study. No matter what process I used my grade would always end up being poor. My mom would always be on me about doing better on the test but nothing would come about from that. So, my mom decided to get involved and attempt to raise my grades. At first she tried studying with me. She would go over the words with me and use the methods I had previously used myself. After studying with my mom, I would always feel more confident but the grades I would receive were still subpar. It was frustrating. For some reason, it was just a task for me to spell. I would make up fake dieses with my best friend Becca like spellyosis, the inability to spell. We would have to participate in the class spellingbee and I would... A defect in this enzyme would essentially stop the citric acid cycle from working as it is the starting point of the entire thing. NADH and FADH2 would not be produced which would also stop the electron transport chain. The electronic transport chain is where oxidative phosphorylation occurs. Without NADH and FADH2 being produced, enzymes in the mitochondria would not be able to use NADH to add H to O2, the process in which phosphate is added to ADP to make ATP. Overall, without pyruvate dehydrogenase, there is no citric acid cycle, no NADH and FADH2, no electron transport chain, and no

However, there are aspects of his review that are not pleasing. To start off, Edelstien is very quick in expressing is enjoyment for Avatar, referring to it as a mighty ode to Gigantism and Awesomeness. After this point, the writer goes to talk about the subject. • 48. Analysis Of Native Americans In The Searchers In the 1900s Native Americans were viewed differently from the other races that existed. Some saw them as savages and animals while others saw them as nothing, a waste of resources and land. They re portrayed as uncivilized villains in the movies we watch now, but not all Natives were evil and vicious. Natives back then were human and still are today. Some are downright vile and the few that are left are understanding, pleasant, and peaceful. Although both The Searchers directed by John Ford and The Captive painted by Eanger Irving Couse conveys the nobility of the Native Americans, Director John Ford emphasizes Native American lifestyle whereas Artist Eanger Irving Couse views Native American humanity. Due to the distance between the Native Americans and the white men and women, it was seen as morally wrong to have a relationship between the two. In the movie, The Searchers, the Comanche tribe kidnapped Debbie and Lucy Edwards, two Texan farmer daughters, and the nieces of Ethan Edwards. Sadly, Lucy is killed, but Debbie survives and adapts to their way of life. She spends five years with the Comanche because they wanted her to become one of them. The Captive painted by Eanger Irving Couse, shows an unconscious white woman inside of a tipi with a Native staring at her longingly. In the painting, it feels like the painter was humanizing the Native, by showing that he wasn t a savage. It felt that the Native was empathizing and mourning her. Chief Five Crows, the Native,

Is she seriously expecting me to be fine after? I thought it was ridiculous and impossible. However, from the deep corner of my mind, something ensured me that I m going to be fine. Rachel, you will be going to have a free timethat no one will disturb it, that voice was even luring me! So, of course, I fell into that lure. Thanks to God, my seat was the aisle, and few women, who looked like a tourists, sat next to me. They looked nice, so I was relieved. Time to set up my seat , I thought. My routine for making my seat was like this: First, I put my bag under the front seat, taking out my phone and the charger. Then I open the blanket that was given from the plane, put the small pillow on my back, and plug in my earbud. Lastly, I turn on the monitor and pick some songs that I will listen throughout the flight. These make the best seat for the flight; trust me, I know it well. After the take off, soon the flight attendants came with the foods. Oh yes, the best part of the flight! The combination of eating and listening music at the same time is always fantastic; those two are my favorite things to do. Although the quality of the foods was not as good as the foods I usually eat, it was still delicious. I got really bored after I eat, so I decided to watch the Beauty and the Beast one more time. Such a good movie with

Patrick Henry Dbq Give me liberty, or give me death, proclaimed the revolutionary activist Patrick Henry as he and his fellow Americans fought towards an independent nation free from the monarchical Britain. With the American revolution, King Louis XVI sent French soldiers to America to purposely aid the new country, but accidentally implanted the idea for revolution in France, too. As the rising debt and unjust taxation of France climbed even higher, the Third Estate of France declared themselves the new lawmakers of France with these French soldiers from America instituting key revolutionary ideas. In June 1789, this Tennis Court Oath started the monstrously long attempt the French made to institutionalize their own freedom, liberty, and equality. Parisians... In 1793, he directly responded to the Committee of Public Instruction s proposal for the calendar change by attempting to persuade them to reject the calendar since it was extremely conflicting in accordance to the past and neighboring nations. Moreover, SieyГЁs informed the Committee that it was not their nor any other person s authority to alter the long standing calendar. In 1794 from the town of Г‰tampes, a concerned peasant wrote a letter bringing forth similar troubles in regards to SieyГЁs. The countryman provided evidence that nine days of work for those involved in manual labor can be difficult. This contradicts Letourneux s idea that a nine day work week was ideal, but to an actual laborer, it is unbearable and discontented. This peasant openly contributed to the feelings of those in the smaller towns, struggling villages, and even bustling cities. Finally, a recalled member to the National Convention, Pierre Joseph Denis prodded a finger at the Jacobins and further described them as the sole reason for a return to old absolutist ways through initiating the calendar. As have being a member of the National Convention and working side by side to Jacobins for some time, Denis understood their
