INTRODUCTION Airway management includes a set of maneuvers and medical procedures performed to prevent and relieve airway obstruction. Due to obstruction in the airway the life of the individual is in danger so use of airway management modalities will help to save the individual’s life. These modalities ensures an open pathway which provide breath to the lungs through the atmospheric air and mechanical support to secure life. The study was conducted to assess the level of knowledge on airway management among Nursing student. The main objectives of study were to assess the knowledge on airway management modalities and to associate the level of knowledge with selected demographic variables. A Quantitative research approach with Descriptive research design was used to evaluate the knowledge regarding airway management modalities. A sample of 60nursing students were selected by convenient sampling technique. structured questionnaire was used to obtain data from the sample . Data analysis was done by using descriptive and inferential statistics on the basis of objective of the study RESULT The result of the study shows that out of 60 samples 13 21.66 having good knowledge 45 75.3 having average knowledge and 2 3.33 having poor knowledge regarding airway management modalities. with regard to mean and standard deviation of knowledge shows 17.3 and 3.92 respectively. CONCLUSION The study concludes that, the knowledge level of students regarding airway management modalities associated airway management is average, the study suggest that proper teaching and adequate training on airway management will be helpful for the students to gain knowledge. Reflection is a critical component of professional nursing
practice and a strategy for learning through practice. This
integrative review synthesizes the literature addressing the
use of reflection as an educational strategy and reports
outcomes from the use of reflective strategies. Reflection
education is primarily nested in programs to meet specific
clinical goals, structured with group facilitation. Findings
suggest that reflective strategies stimulate learning in
practice, enhance readiness to apply new knowledge,
and promote practice change.
INTRODUCTION
In recent years, reflection has gained increased recognition
as a critical component of professional nursing practice and
as an educational strategy to acquire knowledge and learn
through practice (Asselin & Fain, 2013; Kim, 1999; Perry,
2000). Although there is no agreed upon definition, reflec-
tion is generally understood as the deliberate process of
critically thinking about a clinical experience, which leads
to development of insights for potential practice change
(Asselin & Fain, 2013). Scholars contend that reflection of-
fers nurses the opportunity to build on existing knowledge
through clinical experiences (Johns, 1995; Kuiper & Pesut,
2004; Perry, 2000), develop clinical judgment (Nielsen,
Stragnell, & Jester, 2007; Tanner, 2006), promote strong
communication skills, build collaborative practice, and im-
prove patient care (Horton-Deutsch, 2012; Peden-McAlpine,
Tomlinson, Forneris, Genck, & Meiers, 2005).
Although it is generally assumed that nurses know how
to reflect, findings from recent studies suggest that nurses’
reflective thinking may be prolonged by pauses and they
may need assistance in systematically moving insights to
practice change (Asselin & Fain, 2013; Asselin, Schwartz-
Barcott, & Osterman, 2013). Consequently, continuing ed-
ucation on reflection and reflective practice is viewed as a
vehicle to enhance professional practice, promote evidence-
based practice, and potentially improve patient outcomes.
As an educational strategy, reflection allows nurses to ex-
plore clinical experiences and the thoughts and feelings
associated with the experience, allowing for a change in
beliefs and assumptions, emergence of new knowledge,
and a transformation of clinical practice (Asselin & Fain,
2013; Dube & Ducharme, 2014; Horton-Deutsch, 2012;
Johns, 1995; Perry, 2000). Although numerous articles have
been published exploring the concept of reflection and the
use of reflection as an educational strategy, there has been
no attempt to synthesize existing literature presenting the
use of reflection as an educational strategy in nursing pro-
fessional development (NPD). This article provides an

Maximum efforts has been put to eliminate traditional way of doing things and embrace new methodologies (Saunders, Vehviläinen-Julkunen & Stevens, 2016). Concerns have been raised towards improving knowledge and skills in respect to evidence for efficient clinical outcome. Lack of EBP knowledge has bring a lot of challenges in our organization thus hindering its implemented. This has influenced integration of sources of evidence in clinical decision making where clinical expertise, clinical context, patients outcomes and values as well as best research are included in the process of decision-making.
There is increased demand to create culture that promotes exploration of critical inquiry and availability of evidence as an important aspect to be incorporated in our daily nursing practice in the organization. Clinical inquiry in nursing follows five EBP processes including ask, gather, appraise, act, evaluate and disseminate. Learning these steps helps to support the capacity of nurses. According to Mick (2017), the first process to clinical inquiry is developing a clinical question, followed by gathering and evaluating evidence obtained. As discussed in week one, the significance of evidence-based practice (EBP) in providing safe and quality health care cannot be relegated. In fact, EBP has been endorsed in research and practice as a method that obtains the highest level of care for patients, reduces the cost of health care, reduces medical errors and injuries, and encourages individual and professional advancement for nurses and other health professionals because it encourages research and educational progression. Accordingly, Black et al (2015) concluded that providing research training opportunities to nurses is a worthwhile strategy for health care facilities seeking to promote EBP for the purpose of empowering nurses and consistently ensuring safe and quality health care.

Star Model Research
The Star Model provides a focal point for evidence-based practice activities, including education and interdisciplinary research projects. Projects and investigations are concentrated on two objectives: (a) basic and professional level workforce development for EBP; and (b) the study of the processes and outcomes within evidence-based quality improvement. We study evidence synthesis, translation of evidence into practice, and healthcare provider and organizational change. A short description of representative projects and research follows. This ongoing program expands and tests a model for understanding evidence-based practice. The study of EBP is essentially the study of transforming knowledge produced through primary studies and moving it through adoption into clinical decision-making.
Using the Star Model as a framework, our program of translational research investigates phenomena associated with EBP, including summarizing evidence, clinical guideline development and uptake, organizational culture, and outcome measures. The initial project in this timely program of research was Evaluation of Systematic Reviews Published in Nursing Literature: A Replication, that pointed to the need for more rigorous systematic reviews in nursing. Subsequent projects investigate factors associated with uptake of clinical practice guidelines, innovation, and system culture change.

including assessments of priorities in areas that require attention in an organization. The
following annotated bibliography compiles a summary of the references that will be used
to prepare a final paper that will identify nursing leadership priorities at Fantastic
Medical Center (FMC) and proposed resources for addressing the priorities.
Previously identified nursing leadership priorities at FMC that will be the focus of
the literature review are (a) nursing staff turnover, (b) nursing staff competency, and (c)
medication errors of omission. Accordingly, the literature and available resources were
searched utilizing terms that included the above listed priorities and terms to reflect any
proposed resources for addressing the priorities in order to support strategies with
evidence-based references.
Additional references will include readings from the course that involve systems
leadership, organizational structure, and use of a systems-based approach for analysis of

Evidence-based practice (EBP) in its most simplistic form is using the evidence, whether from clinical experiences or patient preferences, to make decisions that affect patient care positively (Polit & Beck, 2017). Evidence-based practice is essential for determining changes in practice that are needed to protect and provide safe care for patients. Nurses are the front-line of the healthcare system and are able to recognize and change policies and procedures. Therefore, nurses are responsible for sharing with their peers and co-workers the information obtained from their evidence-based research.
In order to make evidence-based changes, a dissemination plan needs to be in place. In our facility, our evidence-based practice nurse committee is responsible for teaching the staff on changes in practice. Once they have decided on the changes they present the information to the Emergency Department leadership. From there the changes are reported to the nursing staff through department meetings, bulletin boards, and online learning modules. This is based on the ACE Star Model of Knowledge Transformation which seeks to take research findings and use them to impact patient outcomes by using evidence-based care (Polit & Beck, 2017).

The purpose of the present study was to determine of some risk factors influencing of non-contact Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury in Soccer, basketball and Taekwondo players. If an athlete injured anterior cruciate ligament the most important thing is to identify factors that affect the injury. However, a growing research implicates hormonal, anatomical, environmental and neuromuscular factors that may predispose athletes to these injuries. For this research selected 510 athlete for assess ACL injury factors by two different methods
a. Questionnaire and
b. Interview that information collected among athletes who were play soccer, basketball and taekwondo.
Our results indicate 61.4% of ACL injury occurred in practice time and 38.6% of ACL injury was during competition. Also our finding showed that 69% mechanism of injury was non-contact, 4.7% via accident and 26.3% with unknown reason. Furthermore dynamic alignment at the time of the injury included: Knee-in & Toe- out 44%, Knee-out & Toe-in 22.5 and Hyperextension 11.1%.
The ACL prevents the femur from moving forward during weight bearing. It also helps to prevent rotation of the joint. Injury of the ACL most often occurs when an athlete is pivoting, decelerating suddenly or landing from a jump. The injury can also be caused by another player falling across the knee. ACL injuries are, probably, the most common devastating knee ligament injuries amongst sports persons. Usually these injuries are isolated, mainly in non-contact sports, but many often are a part of more complex ligamentous injuries. They occur more often in contact sports, such as soccer, basketball or taekwondo. In conclusion, our study produced strong evidence in support of a significant some factors influencing of ACL injury in Soccer, basketball and Taekwondo players.

Multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) and electromagnetic hypersensitivity are disabling conditions hallmarked by adverse reactions to chemicals and electromagnetic frequencies at levels generally considered safe. MCS is underpinned by a vicious cycle of escalating sensitivity initiated by exposure to seven classes of neurotoxicants. Our case study concerns a family sensitized to foods, chemicals and electromagnetic radiation after heavy exposure to phenoxy herbicides and organophosphate pesticides. Also addressed are a number of conditions frequently co-morbid with MCS, which also frequently involve an environmental sensitivity component-which include migraine, rheumatoid arthritis, irritable bowel syndrome, ADHD, hypertension and certain cardiac problems.

Nurses' Spiritual Well-Being and Patients' Spiritual Care in Iran by Sepideh ...Crimsonpublisherscojnh
Spirituality is known to play a significant role in patients' well-being and quality of life. Responding to patients' spiritual needs is considered to be an essential element of high quality medical care. Consequently, it seems logical that there is a professional requirement for nurses to achieve competence in the delivery of spiritual care. This study aims to examine the impact of nurses' spiritual well-being on patients' spiritual care. A total of 210 nurses working in critical care units completed Basic Psychological Needs questionnaire and Spiritual Care Competence Scale. 5.8% of nurses provided spiritual care at a poor level; 53.4% at an optimal level; and 39.8% at a highly desirable level. There were negative significant relations between the average scores of spiritual well-being with: age (p<0.04); and clinical experience (p<0.02).
There were positive significant relations between the receipt of training by nurses in the principles of spirituality with: the level of spiritual well-being (p<0.003); and the level of spiritual care (p<0.02). Overall, a significant relationship was observed between spiritual well-being and spiritual care (p<0.001). The study has demonstrated that there was a positive relationship between nurses' spiritual well-being and the provision of spiritual care. Implementation of strategies that might develop spiritual well-being in nurses would be of great benefit in catering for the spiritual needs of patients

Increasing patient acuity and complex health care demand the need for preparing competent graduate nurses. However, reduced availability of clinical setting exists translating to difficulties obtaining patient care experiences for nursingstudents. This ongoing issue demands nurse educators to seek alternative teaching strategies. High-fidelity simulation experiences can provide learning environment very similar to the clinical setting. The purpose of this descriptive co-relational quantitative research study was to examine what relationships, if any, existed between associate degree nursing students' self-confidence in learning and their perceived presence of five instructional design characteristics in a high-fidelity simulation learning experience.
The nursing students' perceived experiences were measured by the NLN (National League for Nursing) Self-Confidence in Learning and Simulation Design Survey instruments. Study participants were asked to rate the level of importance of each variable (Self-Confidence and Simulation Design Instruments) on a Likert scale with the following rating: 1= strongly disagree to 5= strongly agree. The results of this study identified students' perceptions on the importance of realism and debriefing (feedback/guided reflection) in a simulation experience. Additional findings highlighted the importance to students of definitive objectives and information, which influence their self-confidence in learning within a simulation learning environment.
It is evident the use of simulation as an educational tool is becoming more prevalent in the health care settings. This is especially important in response to the growing shortage of accessible clinical sites and available faculty. The findings of this study support the need for more quantitative research to evaluate the use of high-fidelity simulation experiences on nursing students learning outcomes

Drinking water distribution system biofilms were investigated for the presence of hygienically relevant microorganisms. In this study we collected four PVC pipes from different Drinking water and studied the biofilm morphology, Characterizing the formation of biofilm on Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe lines were analyzed by using the techniques, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman microscopy (RMS), X-rayfluorescence spectroscopy (XRF), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM EDAX). Biofilm formation in drinking water PVC pipelines is due to many factors including pH, temperature, salt etc. In this study, microbiological aspects of biofilm formation and their role on electrochemical studies are presented.
We report the design and evaluation of PCR primers 63f and 1387r for amplification of 16SrRNA genes from bacterial isolates, Phylogenetic analysis of partially sequenced 16SrRNA gene sequences revealed the diversity of bacterial and fungal strains in the PVC pipeline 7 different bacterial phyla were detected. In addition, localized biofilm of the PVC pipeline in the presence of the consortia was observed by scanning electron microscopy analysis and morphology was seen in EPI fluorescence microscopy, The dominant bacterial species identified in the PVC pipeline biofilm samples were Sphingobacterium sp respectively, several types of bacteria may be involved in biofilm arising and the potential role of each species in biofilm formation is discussed. Therefore, calcium carbonate and the allied calcium compounds are responsible for the biofilm formation in PVC pipes and these inferences may lead to develop effective water purification measures

Cardiorespiratory Arrest Associated with Propranolol use in Thyrotoxic Heart ...Crimsonpublisherscojnh
Beta-blockers are commonly used to treat tachyarrhythmia's in thyroid storm. However, there have been several cases in which cardiovascular collapse has been reported after administration of Propranolol [1]. This phenomenon seemed to be more common in Chinese [1]. The article presented an unusual case. A 14-year-old girl with thyrotoxicosis presented with wide complex tachycardia in an electrocardiogram (ECG). The rhythm was converted to a trial tachycardia after cardio version. Propranolol was started to control atrial tachycardia. The girl developed cardiorespiratory arrest soon after taking Propranolol. She required high-dose inotropic support and the use of an intra-aortic balloon pump after resuscitation. Propranolol should be used highly cautiously in patients with thyrotoxic heart failure; cardiac assessment can be performed before medication prescription; short-acting beta-blockers may be a safer option for these patients.

Normal defecation begins with movement in the left colon, moving stool toward the anus. Intestinal contents pass through the small and large intestine too quickly to allow for the usual absorption of fluid and nutrients. Irritation within the colon results in increased mucus secretion. As a result, feces become watery, and the patient is unable to control the urge to defecate. Normally an anal bag is safe and effective in long-term treatment of patients with fecal incontinence at home, in hospice, or in the hospital.
