This document discusses keys to spiritual breakthrough based on examples from Jesus' life and teachings. It identifies five keys: 1) Make room for Jesus by inviting his presence; 2) Overcome paralysis by repenting, asking forgiveness, and making your way to God; 3) Be in the right company by surrounding yourself with people of faith; 4) Refuse to be denied but persist in faith; 5) Remove human limitations and recognize that with God all things are possible. The overall message is that by applying these principles from Jesus' example, we can have breakthroughs in our spiritual lives.
This sermon will focus on two key Pauline texts. In 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 Paul gives us some general instructions in demolishing strongholds by using God's means. In Ephesians 2 he identifies 3 strongholds by name, the world, the flesh and the devil.

We’re Wrestling Who? - Ephesians 6:10-13David Turner
Our battles are not against flesh and blood. Our battles are against Principalities and Powers. These adversaries are much bigger than us and cannot be defeated by our own strength. In Ephesians 6:10-13 Paul identifies who we are really wrestling with and follows up with advice on how to compete to gain victory. For this and other PowerPoint Presentations go to www.Bibleguy.org.

To God All the Glory!
Part of the series on prayer; emphasis is applied to James 5.16. This is a basic PowerPoint regarding James 5.16. More points and words were spoken than contained in the PowerPoint.
In this lesson we start by debunking several prevalent lies about prayer that hinder us from praying as we should. We then move on to study the prayer life of Elijah. Amazingly, even though we learn that he was a man just like us, and thus subject to misplaced passions and a sinful nature, his prayer life was powerful and effective. (James 5:17-18; 1 Kings 19:1-8)
Kingdom Life is the Baptismal and New Converts Class at Jesus House DC. It's a 3 week course aimed as building the right foundation for new converts (and revision of mature Christians) and preparing believers of baptism.
Despite Cornelius’ essential goodness, God sends Peter to him with a message of salvation. We cannot be saved by ourselves or our good works. We must be saved through Jesus: Hearing of Him, Believing in Him, Being Baptized into Him, and Repenting. In this we find peace, forgiveness and life. (First presented 25 November 2007)

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

1. The God of Break hroughs “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3
2. The God of Breakthroughs In 2 Samuel 5:20 God is honored as Baal-Perazim, “Lord of the Breakthroughs.” Let’s look at five keys to “breakthrough” we can all use to help us in our spiritual lives. During Jesus teaching ministry we can see many examples of faith and blessing. These examples help us to learn how we can have breakthroughs in our lives too.
3. Make Room for JesusMark 2:1-8 It happened when Jesus was in the house. Revelation 3:20, a church without the presence of God. …Must hear and open We need to manage our image. The need to invite Him here and open the door. When God is here the house will be full.
4. Overcome Your ParalysisMark 2:3 Lame man didn’t have a defeatist attitude. Is. 35:6 Perhaps some of us are paralyzed by a condemning past, chronic fears, habitual sins. How to overcome. Pick your self up and make your way to the Lord of your breakthroughs. Christian: Repent and ask forgiveness Acts 8:22 Alien sinner: Hear & Believe the gospel Rom. 10:17, Repent Lk. 13:3, Confess Acts 8:37, Be Baptized Acts 2:38
5. Be In the Right CompanyMark 2:3 His friends had faith! “Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future.” (ISV) Stop being deceived: "Wicked friends lead to evil ends." 1 Cor. 15:33
6. Refuse To Be DeniedMark 2:4 The 5 men did not turn back. So don’t give up! Jesus wants persistence! Luke 18:1-ff Be inconvenient and receive a blessing. V.5 Jesus saw their faith and healed him!
7. Remove the Lid of Human Limitation! V.4 We may have our limitations. Our limitations like the roof stood in the way. But God through faith makes breakthroughs! Hebrews 11:30-34 God uses us the faceless, the unpopular, and he gets the glory. 1 Cor. 1:26-31 Its not our impotence but God’s omnipotence! With God all things are possible if it’s according to His will. Mt. 19:26; 1 Jn. 5:14
