The document discusses Jesus being tempted by Satan in the wilderness for 40 days. It describes the three main forms of temptation Jesus faced: lust of the flesh when tempted to turn stones to bread, pride of life when tempted to jump from the temple, and lust of the eyes when tempted with rulership over all the kingdoms. While Jesus was fully God, he also had a human nature and was tempted. However, Jesus overcame each temptation by quoting scripture. His example teaches that we too can resist temptation through God's word and strength.
God gave us His Word for a purpose. God wants us to be with Him in heaven. To do this we must change from serving Satan to serving God. God gave His Word so we would know how to live our lives. God gave His Word so we would change.

Tomorrow we are starting a new series of study:
“The New Man” is a seminar that will focus on the spirit of man, its soul and its body.
We will learn the properties of each one of these three parts of man.
Our spirit is called to be the ruling part of us, actually, our spirit is the main part of our being, and is the place where the spirit of God dwells in.
We meet in Room #3 at CTF Toronto Wednesdays from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. I invite you to come and participate with us in this discovery of how to let our spirit become the ruler of our life.
We know the dictionary definition of worship (a feeling, or devotion to a deity), and we have read John 4:24, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth"; but, what does the Bible teach us about the subject of worship? This is a series of lessons that gets to the heart of worship and what it really means for Christians.
John 3:1-5. A New Life In Christ. In the new life we have been born again. In the new life we are a new creation. In the new life we crucify the flesh with its passions and desires. In the new life we are transformed by the renewing of our minds. In the new life we are renewed by the Holy Spirit. In the new life we are dead to sin but alive to God. In the new life we are washed from our sins. in the new life we put to death the old man and put on the new man. In the new life we died and our life is hidden with Christ in God. In the new life we were brought back from death in sin.

Editor's Notes
The short answer is no, God does not ever tempt us.
Satan is the tempter, not God. God tests us; not tempt us
We are tested to increase our faith. When our hearts are not pure, a test can turn into a temptation. Temptation is not sin. When we give in to the temptation, we sin and sin leads to death.
We are carried off into sin by our own temptations and that is because we don’t resist them like Jesus did in the Wilderness when He was tempted by Satan.
I know that most of you already watched this video but as a part of my report, lets watch this again
Jesus hungered as a man,
thirsted as a man, suffered as a man,
and ultimately died as a man.
And generally, what im saying is. Man is really prone to temptations
but Jesus was also tempted as a man, yet without sin.
Y? bec He resisted temptation his entire life. In so doing, He became the perfect standard for us to imitate in life.
No human has or ever will be tempted like Jesus was in the wilderness by Satan.
If we were, we could not have resisted Satan’s temptations. Let me explain. We are most tempted to sin when we are tired because we have little resistance to temptation.
We are also more vulnerable when we get hungry or when things do not go well. Perhaps the greatest times of temptation come when we are successful.
The Bible is full of examples of those who had just achieved great success but then became prideful and thought more highly of themselves than they should. These same times of vulnerability were used mightily by Satan when he tempted Jesus in the wilderness.
Here is what happened. First of all , After Jesus was baptized He was immediately led by Holy Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. ( Guys huh? ) God is in control. It was the Spirit not Satan that led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
Jesus was in the wilderness for 40 days with the wild beasts. Jesus fasted and ate nothing for 40 days
Jesus fasted so as to focus himself for the challenge of temptation that He was about to face.
Prayer is often accompanied with fasting and no doubt Jesus involved Himself in this activity as well though the text does not so say.
“You can pray without fasting, but you can’t fast without praying.” Fasting helps the prayer life.
After fasting for forty days and nights, it would be very natural for Jesus to be hungry.
(so, read) Since Jesus was the Son of God, then why not change these stones to bread. He had the power to do it, so do it. That was the essence to Satan’s temptation here.
In tempting Jesus with bread, Satan attempts to use Jesus’ source of spiritual strength (His fasting) against Him.
Here is one of those times when temptation can be greater; during times of hunger.
During times of hunger we are more prone to make bad decisions, snap at friends, and family,. We can become easily irritated and say things that we will later regret. We are also more tired when we are hungry or fasting. Fatigue makes us inclined to have more accidents and the frequency of accidents increases when we are both hungry and tired.
And satan knew that Jesus was hungry. This shows that Satan does in fact have knowledge of the human condition and he knows how to use that condition against man
Satan’s temptation, however, was not in the form of offering bread directly to Jesus, but in tempting Jesus to use His power for purely selfish purposes.
Here, the sin would have been two fold; first it would have been an abuse of God’s power, and second, it would have been obeying the voice of Satan.
Jesus did not argue with Satan or tried to convince him; Jesus answered Satan with the Word of God. That was His defense against the temptations.
Three times Satan tempted Jesus and three times Jesus answered Him by quoting Scripture from the book of Deuteronomy 8:3 “that say that man does not live from bread alone, but from the Word of God.”
Next, the devil took Jesus to the holy city and had Him stand on the highest point of the temple.
It was a height from which if anyone would fall they would certainly meet death.
Once again Satan challenges Jesus to show His power
satan does, however, wise up in one regard. This time he quotes scripture to Jesus. It is a grave lesson to us. Satan knows what God’s word says and is prepared to use it against us if we are not educated and knowledgeable in it.
Jesus. Satan misquotes Psalm 91:12-13 by saying the angels will not allow Jesus to get hurt if He jumped from the temple top.
Jesus told the Devil (and tells us) that we are not to put God to the test for He is not pleased when we do this. It shows a lack of trust and faith in God when we overextend ourselves or try something that common sense tells us not to.
Once again, Jesus quotes the Word of God to resist the temptation of the devil, that it is written in Deuteronomy 6:16 that you shall not tempt the Lord your God.
Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.
Here, the Devil tempted Jesus to take a “short cut” and simply bow down to Satan and He could have the kingdoms of the world.
It was the Devil’s way of enticing Jesus in order to avoid Calvary but Jesus understood that without His going to the cross, we would all perish in our sins.
Satan also claimed that he had all the authority and glory in the world, but He forgot about the Creator All authority belongs to God.
Worship belongs to the Lord our God alone, not to any man and not to Satan.
Jesus answered Satan’s last temptation by quoting Deuteronomy 6:13 God alone is worthy of our worship, no other.
The Word tells us that Satan had tempted Jesus with every temptation possible, but to no avail. Satan departed from Jesus waiting for another opportunity.
There is real power in the living Word of God, the Bible.
During times of hunger, severe tests or trials, or when pride hits us, we must fall down on our knees and pray to God and remember that the words of life are in the Good Book, the Holy Bible.
Satan used all of these to try and bring down Jesus Christ but he could not.
Jesus resisted temptation and He relied on the Word of God by quoting it and using it as an offensive weapon against spiritual attacks from the Enemy.
Can we do anything less than what Christ did to hinder the Devil’s temptations? We would do well to notice that our greatest times of temptation will come when we are tired, hungry, going through a trial, have a chance for compromising our values, and are being too lifted up with pride.
Jesus gives us all an example that we can overcome temptation by hiding God’s Word in our heart. Christians can not live by bread alone but must learn to live by every word of God and every word of God is contained in the Bible.
Feed on that and you can more easily resist the Devil and he will flee from you.
