Worship involves ascribing worth to God through bowing down in intimacy and closeness. True worship is paying honor, reverence and homage to God through thought, feelings or acts as described in Revelation 5:13. There are three types of worship: vain worship follows human traditions rather than God's word; ignorant worship knows God but ignores his word; and true worship is "in spirit and in truth" as described in John 4:23-24. True worship requires an intimate relationship with God through spending time with him, coming to him honestly as ourselves, having a godly attitude, fleeing idolatry, and honoring the Sabbath by assembling with other believers.
