Desktop, Network, and Data Center Support Responsibilities
1. Desktop/Laptop Support Responsibilities:
Provide a high level of support for all aspects of the end user computing experience
for all users located throughout North America and China
Build, image, and deploy all desktops and laptops for users located throughout
North America
Plan, coordinate, and implement annual tech refresh for end user computing devices
for all locations
Work within a monthly budget by submitting quotes and purchase orders to replace
all technology related items
Maintain an accurate PC inventory of all hardware and software assets for all
locations
Assist with the set-up and utilization of Microsoft System Center Configuration
Manager 2012 for pushing out software and endpoint protection
Deploy new hardware and software as needed, and within tight timeframes
Assist users by creating instructional “how to” guides and trainings
Global Data Center Support and Remote Data Center Responsibilities:
Assist in managing all aspects of the Global Data Center as well as each remote
locations data centers
Assist in technical aspects of multiple data centers located throughout the company
Troubleshoot production issues
Respond to systemalerts/reports
Operational excellence by reviewing and refining processes and procedures
Execute, maintain and develop scripts to automate repetitive tasks
Network Support Responsibilities
Manage all network Cisco ASA and Switches for all locations located throughout
North America
Purchase and set-up all new network equipment as needed
Respond to outages and worked with ISP’s to get issues resolved
Identify bandwidth needs and cost comparisons to make budget conscience
recommendations
Hardware administration and maintenance for mission-critical environment
Monitor/maintain/troubleshoot existing environment
Follow and implement best practices with regards to network operations
Manage The Gund Company’s global network for 24/7 high availability production
environment
2. Communicate with management and IT team regularly with production impacting
issues
The Gund Company Projects I participated in:
Set-up, trained and rollout of a new helpdesk systemto be utilized by the entire
company
Upgraded all computers and software to company standards
Assisted in interviewing, training and hiring a new helpdesk team member
Upgraded all locations to the same network and server infrastructure
Participated in budget proposal for yearly expenses related to infrastructure costs
Managed the redesign of multiple locations internal network cabling
Managed the remodel of the Global Data Center
Recommend cost effective solution for power back-up at each site
Managed Client and Internal division relationships, both locally and globally as well
as vendor relationships
Business Continuity / Disaster-Recovery liaison, planning and assessment for various
TGC businesses
