The Garden Party Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic of "The Garden Party" presents a unique set of challenges that
require a delicate balance of literary analysis, critical thinking, and creative expression. The
difficulty arises from the need to navigate through the intricate layers of symbolism, themes, and
character dynamics that Katherine Mansfield intricately weaves into her narrative.
Firstly, delving into the nuances of Mansfield's prose demands a keen understanding of the
cultural and societal context prevalent during the time of her writing. This includes deciphering
the subtle social commentaries and class distinctions embedded within the narrative. Analyzing
the characters and their motivations becomes a meticulous task, requiring an acute awareness of
the author's intentions.
Moreover, constructing a coherent argument around the central themes of "The Garden Party"
necessitates a profound grasp of literary techniques, such as symbolism, foreshadowing, and
irony. These elements are intricately woven into the fabric of the story, demanding a nuanced
interpretation that goes beyond surface-level analysis.
Furthermore, successfully conveying one's own insights and interpretations while respecting the
ambiguity inherent in Mansfield's work adds an extra layer of complexity. Striking the right
balance between personal perspective and scholarly analysis is crucial for an essay that not only
demonstrates a deep engagement with the text but also contributes to the ongoing discourse
surrounding Mansfield's literary legacy.
In conclusion, tackling an essay on "The Garden Party" is no simple feat. It involves navigating
through the complexities of Mansfield's storytelling, unraveling the layers of meaning, and
presenting a cohesive and insightful analysis. The challenge lies not only in understanding the
intricacies of the text but also in articulating one's thoughts in a way that does justice to the
richness of Mansfield's narrative.

My Favorite Month Of The Year
Oh, October, my favorite month of the year. For many reasons, October has my
heart. It holds the peak of Autumn, my dearest season. It is full of festivities such as
pumpkin carving, haunted houses, and of course the traditional dressing up on
Halloween. It also holds a large amount of anticipation for Thanksgiving and
Christmas, which is debatably better than the holidays themselves. This year,
October holds these things along with much more for me. I have experienced a lot
this October, but this month seemed to be the light at the end of the tunnel, which
made a little sliver of light fall on some important parts of life; from learning the true
importance of patience and trust, to coming face to face with love.
Practicing patience has never been something I have been good at, in regards to
anything, to be honest. Although I m not very good at it, I usually try not to fret
too much about how my life seems to be going or if things aren t going the way I
want them to, because I trust that the universe will do what it needs to do in order
to make me end up exactly where I m supposed to be. I believe that the people who
are meant to be in your life will always find their way back, no matter how far
either of you may wander. I happened to wander 5 hours away from home, to a
completely different state, yet it was still possible for this person to make their way
back into my life, almost an entire year later.
Up until this October, I had never experienced the idea of love that I
Franz Joseph Haydn s Music
Franz Joseph Haydn (1732 1809), is one of the eminent composers of the Classical
period. He is best known for his symphonies and string quartets, which established
standards of quality, style, content, form, and expressivity that other composers
emulated. Haydn spent most of his career serving the EsterhГЎzy family (1761 90),
which isolated him from the music world, but forced him to become original, as he
himself wrote. Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714 1788) greatly influenced Haydn.
He was fascinated by the expressive style of C. P. E. Bach, and adopted its
passionate quality. The majority of Haydn s keyboard compositions are sonatas. His
other keyboard works include piano trios, theme and variations, dances, fantasias, and
capriccios.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Carnaval, although Schumann mentioned that the music was written first and the
title chosen afterwards, the titles express his intimate world and musical thoughts.
Many titles are representative of real life people. Chiarina is a portrait of Clara
Wieck, and Estrella is Ernestine. His friends and musical contemporaries are Chopin
and Paganini. Some imaginary characters also participate in Schumann s visionary
world. Pierrot, Arlequin, and Pantalon and Colombine are the characters from the
Italian Commedia dell Arte. Florestan and Eusebius are his alter egos. These real
and not real characters reflect Schumann s personal fantasies, and his aspiration of
escaping from reality, even if it is only done
The United States And The Euro Area
The United States and the euro area are the top two largest economies in the world.
This paper is a brief comparison of the central banking systems of the two economies.
The paper starts by introducing historical background for the two central banking
systems to be established. It then continues to analysis similarities and differences
between two central banksystem s organizational structures. Moreover, the paper will
also compare monetary policyframeworks of the two systems in terms of monetary
policy making organization, objective, transparency, accountability, and strategies.
History
The Federal Reserve System In 1791, U.S. Congress established the First Bank of
the United States, headquartered in Philadelphia in response to the rapidly
inflated paper money continentals . However, Congress refused to renew the bank
s charter in 1811 because many Americans then were uncomfortable with the idea
of a large and powerful bank. By 1816, the idea of a central bank was once again
aroused; by a narrow margin, Congress agreed to charter the Second Bank of the
United States. But the Second Bank s charter expired in 1836 without a renewal
neither. During the Free Bank Era (1836 1865), risks of financial crisis
accumulated. In 1893, a banking panic triggered the worst depression the United
States had ever seen, and in 1907, a bout of speculation on Wall Street ended in
failure, triggering a particularly severe banking panic. On December 23, 1913,

Enthroned Madrandonna And Child With Saints Summary
Piero della Francesca s art has always been intriguing to the eyes of the lookers,
analysers, every art pieces containing lots of symbolism and meanings. The
Altarpiece Madonna and child with Saints adored by Frederico da Montefeltro was
one of the work. Piero della Francesca was born in 1412 and was involved in the
Early Renaissance movement. His style involved the use of humanism, geometric
forms and use of perspective to create art. From what I saw in the piece Enthroned
Madonnaand Child with Saints, the first thing I saw was a group of people
surrounding a woman with a baby. The atmosphere of the piece seems to be solemn
and grief even though the painting was painted in bright colours. It was the facial
expressions of the people that depict that it may not be a joyous event. The knight
was at the forefront of the painting and almost seems to be bigger than anyone else,
it may suggest that he s important in the piece. Piero also used linear perspective in
the altarpiece, creating a sense of depth and the vanishing point at around Marys eyes.
With the use of geometry, Piero managed to create the background architecture with
such clarity which a lot of artists at that time couldn t achieve. Into further
observation, instead of thinking that the baby was bleeding, he was wearing a red
necklace. The red colour can be represented as blood pouring out of the baby, a
symbol of life and death. From the way the baby was positioned, it may be assumed
that the baby is either
Gay Rights Essay
Fighting for Gay Rights In our society we should protect LGBT rights it s unfair
that we treat them differently. We should make more changes about how we treat
them they should be allowed to go as they please or shop at places they want to
shop at. Without being told they can not go in a certain restaurant because the way
they are. People should not discriminate the reason being is you never know what
that person been through or why they are like that. And it s hard for a person to
actually be themselves without people telling them that it s a phase or they are
corrupt. In our society we should not have to fight for our rights or act accordingly
to what people think of us. In the LGBTcommunity they have a high rate for... Show

Which is not true they will love they child just like the opposite sex. We support other
things that are going on in the world but why not support gay marriage ? or fight for
they rights?. They are high risk for suicide rates the reason being they feel like
they could not please everyone. They feel like they failed to make everyone happy
and reach their standards. My concern are the innocent people that are going
through this. The LGBT community already go through enough some of their
families disown them because of who they are which is ridiculous. People make
them feel guilty because loving another sex is a sin which it is not. Our society
thinks children needs a mother and father not a two mothers or two fathers. They
are not allowed to serve our country which is heartbreaking because the government
feel like they are not fit to do so. Many states still have a ban on gay marriage until
this day. Before President Obama left office he promised to help the LGBT
community to gain their rights and also appeal the DADT. Our government should
take more procession with their rights we have hateful people out there and would
like to terminate them. In 2016 the military lifted the ban on transgender people.
Which is a start I feel that it should not be a option to pick and choose who to fight
for our country. Also I feel that if a person love someone no matter what color ,
shape , size , gender , etc you should not stop them from finding their true love.
The Spirit Catches You And You Fall Down By Anne
Fadiman
Unfortunately, the world we live is a far cry from perfect. We have all types of
barriers and roadblocks that we must face and attempt to overcome on a daily
basis. When dealing with healthcare, these barriers and roadblocks can be much
scarier and in some cases even deadly. These barriers are not limited to only
language, but also to differences in cultures as well. The book entitled The Spirit
Catches You and You Fall Down by Anne Fadiman highlights the plight of a
particular Hmong family in California. The Lee family faced many hardships when
they came to America. They were normally mountain people who kept to themselves
and did their own thing without any interference or input from the people who lived
near them. Now they were thrust into an American city in California, with no way
to support themselves without government assistance. When Foua went into labor
with her daughter Lia, she had a seemingly positive experience with the delivery.
She did not understand a word that anyone said to her during her entire hospital
stay, but she thought it was nice that so many people wanted to help her with the
birth of her child, because, in her native Chinese culture, a mother usually gave
birth to her children alone (Fadiman 8). She did think that it was strange that they
gave her ice water to drink because many Hmong believe that cold food makes the
blood congeal instead of cleansing the body by flowing freely after birth (9). As Foua
left the hospital she signed the
Career Construction Interview Essay
I am more drawn to qualitative research than I am to quantitative research, so
having the opportunity to write in this way and assess a client in these terms is a
preference for me. In support of the Career Construction Interview over the O*Net
profiler from a counselor perspective is the ability to understand a client on a much
deeper level and obtain a significant amount of information, which merely matching
interests to careers cannot accomplish. By extracting life experiences, favored role
models and preferred book/movie characters, a counselor is able to gain insight
(perhaps unrealized by the client) into what may motivate a client to succeed in a
career, their underlying values, with whom he/she may like to work with and what
sort of environment may bring out the very best in what he/she has to offer.... Show

A further positive aspect of an informal assessment is the ability for a client to
express him/herself in full sentences and evoke memories and aspects of his/her
experiences that have mattered to him/her. In this way, he/she may experience the
exercise as more meaningful and memorable. Finally, the Career Construction
Interview may enable clients who have undifferentiated profiles of interest, that is, a
set of interests that are not clearly defined, to gain some clarity through a deeper
introspection into their preferences in a way that is less formal and anxiety
provoking and more engaging (Niles Bowlsbey, 2017, p. 143). By telling stories and
gaining some insight into their passions, clients may find their interests become clear
and well defined, and link to potential work environments they may not have

Haarp Research Paper
HAARP.
Ever heard of it? Probably not, unless you just happen to live in Alaska. HAARP
stands for the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program, which is an
ionosphere research program that was funded by a combination of the U.S. Air
Force, the University of Alaska, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency
(DARPA), and the U.S. Navy. This information comes from their own website.
Hold on... They are funded by DARPA? That s weird. What s a defense agency
funding an ionosphere research program? Are they considering HAARP a weapon?
Hmm...
According to HAARP, their sole purpose is to analyze the ionosphere and investigate
the potential for developing ionosphere enhancement technology for radio
communications and surveillance. Used in the facility are a combination of tools

The VHF/UHF is used as return feedback from the excited atoms in the ionosphere.
The digisonde is used to target objects on a double three dimensional plane. As for the

and charge amount.
The problem we have here is that we have a weapon that has been used for
environmental warfare. True, the main purpose the contractors had in mind was to
detect anomalies in the ionosphere by bursting it with energy, but if you just think
back to science class, when you excite atoms, they collide and after some duration
of time, cause lots of heat. Of course, this is limited, but let s say you want to play
dangerous. Paired with doping agents like arsenic and boron (which happen to cause

actually chemical trails from dumping chemicals across the
The Impact Of Cybersecurity On The Business World
Due the advancement of technology over the past few decades, cybersecurity has
become a more prevalent issue for businesses than ever before. Prior to Thanksgiving
in 2013, Target experienced the biggest cybersecurity breach in retail history. Target
had all the correct controls put in place to prevent the cybersecurity attack. In fact, six
months before the attack [Target] began installing a $1.6 million malware detection
tool made by the computer securityfirm FireEye, whose customers also include the
CIA and the Pentagon (Bloomberg, How Target Blew It). Target s security
ignored all
the alerts that went off regarding the cybersecurity attack, and stood by as 40 million
credit card numbers and 70 million addresses, phone numbers, and other pieces of
personal information gushed out of its mainframes (Bloomberg, How Target Blew It).
The Target incident is just one example (of many) that demonstrates the need for
heightened cybersecurity in the business world. Today, there are various disclosure
requirements under multiple financial reporting jurisdictions regarding the impact
and cost of cybersecurity breaches. These requirements and disclosures will be
discussed in more detail below under the different reporting jurisdictions, including:
U.S. GAAP, IFRS, the SEC, and SOX.

losing my real mother to a drug addiction. As a child I hated my real parents
because they were drug addicts and sometimes gave me drugs. I hated my dad
because did inappropriate things to me, sell me to other men for drugs, and he
would drug me or make me drink. I hated both my parent but I took it out on my

strung out on drugs. I remember telling her I hated he cause when I got my first

Lgbt Community And The Community
The main topic of the paper will be discussing about the LGBT community or, also
known as the GLBT community, which is defined as a group of lesbians, gays,
bisexuals, and transgenders. The LGBT community organizes a lot of support and
movement for civil rights all around the world, for example, parades. The paper in
mind for this integrative project will be discussing about how North Americans
became more approachable to be acceptant towards the LGBTcommunity mainly
concentrating in Canada and the United States. This topic is relevant for the world

in this discipline will be the key events that altered the way individuals saw the
LGBT community, and key characters who changed the way people perceived the
LGBT community. These issues will help to understand the improvement and
diminishment with key events and key characters from the past six decades. It is
in fact true, North Americans societal attitudes have increased according to
researches, that society is more accepting toward the LGBT community. However,
only 19% from the LGBT community says there is a lot of social acceptance in
our current world. Whereas a lot of the people from this group says they still have
been rejected by their family and been called by slurs or jokes. However, the media
has been working a lot more into spreading the message of the acceptance and
equality amongst this discriminated community. Brands and medias (television
shows, movies, reality shows) have been including people from the LGBT
community in their work, for example, Disney kids TV shows now show same sex
parents and American Eagle includes gay couples and heterosexual couples in their
commercials. This paper
Essay about Reagan and Gorbachev
Reagan and Gorbachev
During his first term, Reagan denounced the pre Gorbachev Soviet Union as an evil
empire.
The Cold War took place between the United States (US) and the Union of Soviet
Socialist Republics (USSR) from the mid 1940 s to the early 1990s. It was a cold
war in the sense that there was never any military engagement between the US and
the USSR, but during the Cold War both superpowers invested in many different
weapons. The Cold War finally started to wind down in the late 1980 s due to
Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev s cooperation.

Fiscal policy did not happen until the great depression. When the great depression
happened, the role of government changed. People were looking for someone to
help pulled us out of the recessionary period and Fiscal policy was introduced. The
use of either policy has consequence for the United States economy and financial
systems nationwide. Taxation, the amount of money we pay every year and of
course the government is a big spender has a lot of assets at its disposal to

Emotions Are Power. When It Comes To Feelings And
Emotions,
Emotions are power. When it comes to feelings and emotions, there can often be
disparity between how one feels and how something truly is. As the author of the
article titled, Invisible: Why Do People Feel Invisible? Oliver Cooper writes, One
can feel that they are invisible to the world. And this is regardless of their physical
impact on life, the experience for not being noticed exists. Our self image plays an
essential role in what we achieve in life and how. There have been multiple
investigations regarding the correlation between having high self efficacy and being

father begins to isolate himself. Bastian recalls, that his father was once, rather
pleasant. He would play with Bastian and would tell his son stories. Bastian was
aware that his father was grieving as well but, there was an invisible wall around
his father, and no one could get through to him. He never found fault and he never

(Ende 37). From the very beginning of the book, there is this disconnection between
father and son. Cooper explains that children who experience unempathetic care from
their parents in their adolescent years, are more likely to experience the feeling of
isolation and invisibility. Children that experience being ignored, will then lead to
the ego mind concluding that one is invisible and the associations will then follow
(Cooper). The ego mind is a term to explain how children create associations with
different actions and behaviors as safe or unsafe. The problem with this behavior, is
that what may be considered safe, may lead to more pain and suffering later in life.
For example, Bastian s father believed that he was handling his grief properly by
isolating himself from Bastian. Bastian eventually began to consider this behavior as
normal and can
Colombia s Political System And Policies
I was a stranger in a foreign country and I was surrounded by numerous people
known to have killed in the past. This is how I spent many afternoons during the
summer of 2014. That year, I traveled to a city called Cartagena in the South
American country of Colombia. At this time, I had big plans of studying law and
getting involved in politics. I was involved in a joint program between my
undergraduate university and the University of Cartagena, which is where I was
introduced to Professor GermГЎn Ruiz. Professor Ruiz worked in the university s
global and public policy office and I was offered an internship with him. I assumed
I would be learning about Colombia s political system and policies but I was
surprisingly mistaken. The first day of my internship was the day Professor Ruiz
told me about BonchГ©. BonchГ© was a social project aimed at combating urban
youth violence by using sports to help generate a sustained dialogue between rival
street gangs. The project would engage youth gangmembers in certain outlets that
would eventually lead toward open conversations between enemies in an effort to
better their communities as a team. I had the opportunity to be involved in the
beginning stages of this project. Professor Ruiz, one social worker, one former gang
member, and I would travel to the outlying neighborhoods in Cartagena and convince
known violent gang members to take part in our project and figure out how best to
implement it. The first day of fieldwork we went to a
How Did The Roman Economy Affect The Provinces
Roman Economy and the Provinces Roman provinces had several effects on the
Roman economy. The provinces allowed for regular imports of grains, trades of
exotic goods, monetary tributes, and importation of slaves. These factors helped
fuel and strength the Roman economy. Grain was an important part of everyday
life, and Rome relied heavily on the provinces to supply the needed amount of grain.
The need to secure grain providing provinces was one of many important factors that
would lead to the expansion and conquests of the Roman State. (UNRV., n.d.). One
of the many reasons for the Roman conquests in the first place was to secure grain
supplies. The provinces would supply grains to Rome at a lower price than Roman
grain,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many of the imports that the provinces supplied were considered high grade. For
example, wine from Eygpt was considered to be the best, olive oil from southern
Spain was a luxury, and silk from India would have been an item only the rich
could afford (Cartwright, M., 2013, December 17). The provinces would also have
provided items such as spices, pottery, ivory, and terracotta. Importations of the
exotic items would have impacted the Roman economy by raising the values of
those items. Olive oil would have been more expensive because it would have a
higher value. Slaves and tributes benefited the Roman economy by allowing for
cheap labour and by providing money for the Roman treasury (Wasson, D., 2015,
November 29). Slavery impacted the Roman economy via cheap human labour
resources and slaves markets. Monterary tributes filled the Roman treasury, allowed
for Roman buildings, and pay for individuals holding public office. Conclusion; The
Roman economy was fueled by many factors, both foreign and domestic. It had
multiple avenues for income, from imports to exports, from taxes to tributes. There
was also many forms of labour available, allowing for competitiveness in the job
market. The economy of Rome had various factors impacting it, and each one needs
to be considered when trying to see how they collectively impacted
Beethoven Personality
Basically, Beethoven s personality is unacceptable to others opinions or criticism
with regard to his works. Before success of third version of the opera, he obtained
plenty criticisms regarding his previous two versions of the opera. On the other
hand, his friends advised him to revise for success since his misconception of the
operagenre. After the premiere of the first version of the opera, the revision was
suggested by Beethoven s friends who had remained in Vienna during the occupation
of French armies in Vienna. On December 1805, the tenor Josef August Rockel left
the comments regarding a small committee to discuss the Beethoven s opera in the
Lichnowsky palace. The small committee included only two singers for all high voice
and all low voice. Furthermore, the princess played piano for the orchestra part and
Clement played violin for the instrumental part. Then, Breuning combined the three
acts of the first version into two acts. Throughout fusion process, Beethoven suddenly
took his score with wrath and he shouted that it would rather destroy it than dishonour

Racial Tension And Civil Unrest
As diverse as the city of Los Angeles is, it has a history of racial tension and civil
unrest. From 1910, the start of the Mexican Revolution and World War I when
President Theodore Roosevelt instituted the brown scare (Coerver, 2001), to 1913,
when the California Alien Land Act prohibited Japanese immigrants and citizens of
Japanese descent from owning land in California, to 1934, when 3000 Chinese
immigrants were displaced to make way for Union Station, to 1942, when 110,000
Japanese Americans were forced into internment camps, Los Angeles has historically
been the center of racial controversy and tension ( Year by Year, 1999). In 1943, Los
Angeles was also full of young African Americans and Mexican Americans trying to
protest the racism in the American culture by expressing themselves with their own
music, clothing, culture, and style (Cosgrove, 1985). By the time of the Sleepy
Lagoon murder in 1942, the stage had been set for the Zoot SuitRiots that occurred in
June 1943. Although the riots only lasted ten days, the ramifications ranged from
cultural repression on the part of many Mexican Americanfamilies, to political
activism on the part of others, and the beginning of reform within the Los Angeles
Police Department.
In 1910, Mexico entered into a revolution; shortly thereafter the United States
entered World War I. About this time President Theodore Roosevelt started talking
about a brown scare ; profiling Mexican Americans as possible trouble makers

be able to ride a dirt bike? You can learn how to dirt bike by used these four steps
kickstarting, clutch and shifting, riding, and braking. These four steps should help
you learn how to ride a dirt bike.
To start a dirt bike up you will need to know how to use the kickstarter and when to
use the choke. A choke is used to limit the amount of air that goes into the
carburetors while it is cold out. You are probably used to a car where you just need a
key to turn it on, while on a dirtbike you need to kickstart it for it to run. To kick start
you need to be in neutral and have the clutch in. To insure that you don t hurt yourself

Balancing on a dirt bike is a lot like riding a bicycle but is is bigger and weighs more.
A dirtbike can weigh between 150 pounds and 250 plus pounds so you will want to
learn how to control the bike so you don t get hurt. You may need to move your
body around to find your perfect balancing point for different kinds of riding. For
example some times you might need to stand up, sit down or lean side to side. If you
are stuck in mud you might need to shift your weight around to get out. With turning
there are two different ways to turn. The two ways are counter turning and using the
handlebars to turn. While going fast you should probably counter steer by leaning to
turn the bike because if you turned the handlebars to much you would probably have
a higher chance at crashing. While going slow you can use the handlebars to get
around tight and small
How Did Martin Luther King Impact Society
African Americans have just won the fight of ending slavery, now they are
fighting for civil rights. After slavery African Americans they were still
discriminated and looked down upon. Examples of this were they weren t allowed
to go to the same stores, drink from the same fountains, go to the same school, nor
could African Americans sit in the front of the bus which was directly reserved for
whites and more. Mostly all African Americans wanted to change this and make it
just but didn t have the courage to take the consequences they would face for
performing these bold acts. There are a few people who did stand up for the African
Americans and the inequity they endured. One of these people was Martin Luther
King Jr. In his struggles to overcome racism and discrimination against African
Americans, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. risked his life and became a prominent leader
in the civil rights movement. One of the many impacts he had in the civil rights
movement was having the Supreme Court... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

their rights to be equal with whites and not looked down upon. Martin Luther King
said Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or
the darkness of destructive selfishness. This is the judgment. Life s most persistent
and urgent question is, what are you doing for others? (King, 17). This quote means
you can either decide between two things being someone who helps or cares about

doesn t accept civil rights. He realized that if he was to give up that it would be
selfish and this isn t just to help him it s to benefit the whole African American
Liberal Christian Feminism Research Paper
The term Feminism is a hotly debated word. To some it represents liberation and
long awaited justice, but to others it only represents radical animosity. Feminism in

Unlike most modern feminists, Paul upholds certain distinctions in marital and
church roles, as seen in his many letters to churches like 1 Corinthians and 1
Timothy. But in the book of Romans, it can be seen that Paul had an inclusive
attitude towards women Christians in the church. Firstly, Paul declares in Romans
that men and women are fundamentally equal in the eyes of God. They are equally
sinners saved by grace (Romans 3:23 24). Neither is uniquely responsible for the
other s sins, and both receive the same standing before God, including the promise
of eternal life, through faith in Christ (DeLashmutt). Paul s letter to the Romans
reflects the socio political dynamics of the city during the first century in his careful
wording of passages in the book. This Christian community began through the
presence of Jewish Christians and the gentiles who associated with them. Paul s
frequent use of words such as all and every illuminates his initiative to include both
Jews and Gentiles in the Christian movement, which is clearly demonstrated
throughout Romans (1:16; 3:9, 19, 23 24; 4:11, 16; 5:12, 18). Through specific
references and personal acclamation, Paul recognizes the influence of women within
the churches and the early Christian movement as a whole, and seems to place them
within the universal categories of all and every in those verses (Casey 28). Paul also
uses the allegory of two women, Sarah and
Grizzly Bear Geographic Information Systems
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is an essential communication tool for all
disciplines world wide. Being able to communicate through imagery allows for a
visual of data or information that otherwise is just words or numbers on a page. In
regards to grizzly bear habitat it is important to understand the relationship of the
species to the land. Making sure grizzly bears have access to food, water,
hibernation habitat, and space to roam is critical to there success as a species.
Grizzly bear populations, like many other animals, have had there territory greatly
reduced and separated due to human activity. The remaining grizzly bears will need
more access to each other or they could inbred themselves into extinction. Mapping
the the different populations allows for visual understanding of how these
populations can be connected. One of the biggest issues with grizzly bear
populations is that they are separated by roads and highways. Land bridges and
tunnels have been constructed in a few places like Banff National Forest in Canada,

This is important to making sure a road is where the data says it is. Using UTM
coordinates and projections while having the datum in WGS 1984 means that all of
the data is in unicine. Another way of understanding this is if you were measuring
things in meters your want to keep everything in meters and not in feet. This is the
difference in feet and meters in construction is just as important when creating maps.
After all the data is in the same language , it is up to the cartographer to create a map
with the certain criteria. This is what was done in this project, we have our data and
now we have to use the data to communicate possible grizzly bear habitat. Using
different tools in GIS mapping, extract by attribute, reclassify, raster polygon,

What Is Data Analytics The Future Of Audit Engagements
Data Analytics the future of Audit Engagements
Data analytics, according to the International Auditing and Assurance Standards
Board (IAASB), is defined as the science and art of discovering and analyzing
patterns, deviations and inconsistencies, and extracting other useful information in
the data underlying or related to the subject matter of an audit through analysis,
modelling and visualization for the purpose of planning and performing the audit
(Alawadhi et al., 2015). Under this definition, the overall goal of data analytics is to
provide structure and organization to data to enable effective and efficient decision
making. Auditor data analytics is about enhancing audit quality. A high quality,
focused and effective audit is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The objective of any audit is to acquire sufficient and appropriate audit evidence to
support an opinion. Sufficient evidence refers to the quantity of evidence, while
appropriate evidence refers to the quality of the evidence. In developing an audit
opinion an auditor must accumulate both sufficient and appropriate evidence,
however, the evolution of the risk based audit approach has created obstacles in
acquiring sufficient and appropriate audit evidence. Therefore, the audit process must
adapt to these technological changes, in order for the profession to maintain its
credibility as gate keepers. Data analytics is a technological tool that can assist auditor
s in combating the limitations mentioned above. One important advantage is the
ability of data analytics to provide more persuasive audit evidence to enhance audit
quality. Data analytics can be applied at different stages of an audit, beginning with
risk assessment procedures, test of controls, journal entry testing, and even
substantive testing. Employing data analytic techniques allows audit teams to
perform analyses on an entire population of transactions, rather than physically
vouching a limited number of samples, which minimizes sampling risk in an audit
engagement. Additionally, data analytics can help

Sources of literature refer to prefabrication, off site construction, pre assembly and
modularisation concepts either respectively or collectively, (Haas et al., 2000).
Prefabrication Haas et al (2000), prefabrication normally involves a single skill or
trade, such as electrical, or piping, and this can be defined as a manufacturing
process, which generally takes place at a specialized facility, in which various
materials are joined to form a component part of a final installation (Tatum et al.,
1987). Components manufactured off site and is not a complete system can be
referred to as prefabricated components. Furthermore Jaillon Poon (2009) proceed to

The components of preassembly may be completed at the job site eg specialized
factory, in a remote location other than the place of final installation. Usually
preassembly often contains portions of systems, and work that is from a variety of
crafts is naturally necessary for the installation. It is considered to be a combination
of prefabrication and modularisation and may make use of fabricated components
completed off site and then assembled near the site. These units can then be installed,
similar to modules (on site). (Klerk, 2013) It is apparent that no single definition
exists for these concepts but it does however seem that these terms all adhere to a
general theme, specifically: Components manufactured in a controlled environment,
either on or off site and then assembled at the project location. (Klerk, 2013)
Industrialisation this term is used to try incorporate all three aspects of offsite
construction work which is; modularization, prefabrication, and preassembly. The
industrialization process can be described as an investment in equipment, facilities,
and technology with the intention of an increase in output, a decrease in manual
labour, and improving quality of work (Warszawski 1990). The process uses the
concepts of manufacturing and applies them to construction. It also implies the use of
a fully integrated and automated project process to a certain extent. The term
industrialization was commonly used in the 1970 s to define all forms of

Rich And Rich Life
A Rich, Full Life Everyone s interpretation of a full, rich life differs. One person
might say that traveling the world or exploring new places is what makes a life
full and rich, while another might say that a full, rich life is having great
accomplishments or experiencing as many new things as they can. Each person
will view the answer to this question differently simply because each person is
different. Everyone has grown up with vastly diverse experiences. No two people
s lives are the same. No two people have the same likes and dislikes, and because of
this, everyone has a particular set of things they deem make their lives rich and
full. The definition, according to the Webster Dictionary, of a full, rich life,
according to these three words, apply to everyone. The definition, of full is, rich in
experience. Rich means, having high value or quality, and life is, the sequence of
physical and mental experiences that make up the existence of an individual
(Webster Dictionary). These definitions do not say that a full, rich life has to be
made up of any certain experiences or activities. They only say that it needs to have
experiences that have high value or quality to the person themself. For example, my
Mother describes a full, rich life as, ...all about relationships. I am happiest when I m
with people I love (Sayre, Lynette), while my Father describes it as, ...having taken

Vivaldi The Four Seasons Research Paper
Vivaldi was a classical composer in the early 1700 s, whose works where played for
Kings, Queens and the Pope. His works can still be heard today in movies like pretty
woman, white chicks, on TV advertisements and as background music in restaurants.
Vivaldi wrote hundreds of concertos, one of his most popular being spring by The
Four Seasons. This specific piece is optimistic and full of hope.
While listening to Spring of the Four Seasons along with researching Vivaldi s
history the hypothesis can be made that Vivaldi s upbringing and the way in which
he chose to live his life had an immense impact on his creation of The Four Seasons.
Antonio Vivaldi was born on March 4, 1678 in Venice, Italy. His father who was also
a professional violinist was young Vivaldi s first teacher. At 15 he began studying
to become a priest and was ordained in 1703. Due to health problems he quit
priesthood not long after he was ordained but continued in the religious field
throughout his life. Vivaldi played for the Pope and King Louis XV. He also wrote a
piece called Gloria e Imeneo specifically for King Louis XV wedding. Vivaldi died
poor in Vienna on July 28, 1741 and coincidentally there was no music played during

Jack The Ripper Argumentative Essay
In my opinion, the most suspicious suspect would be Druitt. The reason why I
believe it was Druitt is because there is no way that many things could be
coincidental . He unexpectedly dismissed after being a school teacher for years, at

said it had been in the river for a while. Coincidental is overrated; perhaps his

Single Men In Pride And Prejudice Essay
It is not a coincidence that the very first sentence in Jane Austen s Pride and
Prejudice forecasts one of the most predominant themes in the novel and in
Elizabethan literature. Only a male can inherit his family s property and fortune, and
so it behooves a woman, especially one used to a high standard of living, to pursue
marriagewith a wealthy man. It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single
man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife (Austen 1). The
sentence provides an overview for the book as well, which concerns itself with the
pursuit of single men in possession of a good fortune . This motif of Elizabethan
marriages continues through the rest of the first passage when Mrs. Bennet
announces the arrival of Mr. Bingly at Netherfield. She enlightens her daughters
about Mr. Bingly saying, He is a single man of large fortunes four or five thousand a
year (Austen 2). Austen skillfully... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

supremely confident that Elizabeth will quickly accept. In this passage, Darcy
starts his transformation into becoming an improved man as a result of Elizabeth
who drains all of his pride by saying: You are mistaken, Mr. Darcy, if you suppose
that the mode of your declaration affected me in any other way, than as it spared me
the concern which I might have felt in refusing you, had you behaved in a more
gentlemanlike manner (Austen 186). By attacking his pride, Elizabeth critiques
Darcy on his conduct rather than his highborn standing. This leads Darcy into a
mixture of distress and self contemplation. He begins to reevaluate himself and starts
his progress towards a new improved model of his former self, which leads to him
winning Elizabeth s heart in Volume
The Relationship Between Grks And Arrestins
2.3.2GRKs and пЃў arrestins
GPCR desensitization is a deactivation of GPCR elicited signaling following
prolonged or repeated agonist exposure. A major mechanism underlying
desensitization is agonist stimulated phosphorylation and endocytosis of the receptor.
The second messenger dependent protein kinases were originally regarded as the
principal mediators of GPCR phosphorylation and desensitization. However,
following the discovery of G protein coupled receptor kinases (GRKs, originally
called пЃў adrenoceptor kinases), the GRKs have been shown to play a central role
in the agonist induced desensitization of many GPCRs (Kelly 2008). The GRK
family of serine/threonine kinases comprises seven members. Based on sequence
homology, vertebrate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, пЃў arrestins can mediate sustained ERK phosphorylation or
protective mGluR signaling, which are G protein independent processes (Emery
2010, Wang 2016). At the end of GPCR cycles, a regulator of G protein signaling
(RGS) acts as GTPase activating proteins (GAPs), leading to GTP hydrolysis and
reversing the receptor to an initial resting state (Sato 2015).
Different GRK subtypes combined with the action of пЃў arrestins can contribute the
endocytosis of Group I mGluRs in an agonist dependent manner; however, the
results are inconsistent (reviewed in Refs: Iacovelli 2013, Kim 2008). Both GRK2
and GRK4 induce the agonist induced internalization of mGluR1a, which appears to
require GRK2 mediated phosphorylation of the S869 V893 region of mGluR1a
when expressed in HEK cells (Iacovelli 2003, Sallese 2000, Mundell 2003). These
agonist induced internalization processes are пЃў arrestin 1/2 and dynamin
dependent (Mundell 2001, 2002, 2003). пЃў arrestin 1 appears to be important in
mGluR1 endocytosis; however, the agonist stimulated internalization of mGluR1a is
observed only when пЃў arrestin 1 is co expressed with either GRK2 or GRK5 in
HEK cells. GRK2, GRK5, пЃў arrestin 1, or пЃў arrestin2 individually has no
significant effect on the internalization of mGluR1a (Dale 2001). пЃў arrestin 1, but
not пЃў arrestin 2, selectively interacts with mGluR1a and is redistributed to the same

This phrase relates to a study that I may conduct because I would like to investigate

Insecurity In Things Fall Apart
Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe has a lot of unique characters, but the one that
is the most unique and really makes the novel interesting is Okonkwo. Due to his
frustrating childhood and exhilarating life, he really adds a lot to the story.
Okonkwo may seem flawless, and in some ways he is, but in reality he has a lot of
insecurity and worry on his plate.
Throughout Okonkwo s youth, he had a very troubling life. His father, Unoka, was a
failure in every sense of the word. Unoka was a drunk and had an enormous
amount of debt to his name that he never paid back. The only things that Okonkwo
s father had going for him was his music. He was a tremendous flute player and that s
all he really was known for other than being a poor, cowardly
Susan B Anthony Courageous
What do you think makes someone courageous? Is it perseverance, respect, integrity,
discipline, excellence, Or all of them? Three that I picked was discipline,
perseverance, and excellence. One person I know is courageous is Susan Brownell
Anthony (also know as Susan B. Anthony.) Anthony is undeniably courageous
because of Discipline, Perseverance, and Excellence.
Discipline (In this case it s not meaning you did something bad and got in trouble, it
means when you master something or if you practice something for 10,000 hours
then you are a master at it.) Anthony was courageous because of Discipline. Some
ways she had discipline was: Her objectives were to change laws, and she took her

Anthony was one of America s most heroic citizens. She had discipline,
perseverance, and excellence . She wasn t the only person that fought for these
things but she showed the most courage and that is all that a person needs to be a

Zinc Is More Corrosion-Resistant
Galvanising is the coating of iron objects with a thin layer of more active metal such
as zinc , similar to sacrificial anode (Bbc.co.uk, 2015). Zinc is more corrosion
resistant than iron because its oxide, ZnO, adheres to the surface of the metal rather
than exposing the zinc to the atmosphere (Tinaroth, 2013). This prevents oxygenand
water from reaching the ironunderneath but the zincalso acts as a sacrificial metal
(Tinaroth, 2013). The zinc will lose electrons (undergoes oxidation) in preference to
iron and hence, sacrificing itself to prevent the rusting of iron (Tinaroth, 2013). Iron
that is coated with zinc (or any other more reactive metal on the activity series) is
protected, even if the surface is scratched, unlike sacrificial

As long as we have morality, then we will achieve success to improve the quality
of ourselves and by doing things related to morality we will also develop our
morality. Therefore, it is believed that when enemy s morale is low, it is the best
time to attack. Timing is a thing that need to be considered in a war, so besides
knowing when to attack, it also good to know what kind of condition which we
have to rethink of attacking enemy. According the book of The Art of War by Sun
Tzu, it explained to retreat when enemy is organized and advancing at the moment.
When you are balanced, you can choose to fight, but if you are weak, avoid the
battle. For no matter how tough, the little fox will succumb to a greater and more
unceasing force. (Giles, The Art of War by Sun Tzu, 1910)
In conclusion, Sun Tzu has several types of winning. The first one is to win without
battle, attack the enemy forces, and attack the city of enemy. We can conclude that
the Sun Tzu war strategy is to win without a war by relying on a strategy of attacking
the opponent s strategy itself.

Poverty Effects On Youth
Poverty can be difficult for many especially to those who derive from low income
families. The effect of poverty on American youth has been a controversial and has
triggered a great debate across not only the poverty reduction proponents and
opponents but also society. A clear understanding of poverty impacts on American
based youth is highly imperative for all professionals, welfare organizations and
adults called upon to support the younger generations to come. According to several
journals such as Prevention Researcher; the effects of povertyare immense among
youth. Therefore, any poverty reduction proponents must first engage in surveying
meaning, causes, theories on poverty and finally the impacts on youth in America.
American youth poverty statistical figures reveal that poverty continues to encroach
progressively to the youth community. Steven Ungerleider, Ph.D. and the founding
editor of The Prevention Researcher in 1994 discussed information about the effects
of poverty on youth in America. Programs that create supportive based environments
for youth, strategies for preventing various problems affecting youth in America and
resources that help youth serving professionals and families. The main idea behind
the objectives of this dissertation is to address the impact of impecuniosity on
American youth (Steven Wheaton, June 06, 2010). To meet this objective, the
research purpose is to critically look into the meaning of poverty and especially to
youth, causes, theories and finally link to impacts.
Poverty is a state of privation or lack of usual socially accepted amount of basic
needs or money to meet one s daily needs. The U.S government has set the poverty
threshold that defines poverty among youth as the lack of necessary goods and
services commonly termed back the mainstream based society as a basic. The
official youth poverty threshold is embedded on inflation and consumer price
index. In 2012, the U.S government revealed that youth from 58.5 percent of all
Americans wallowed in cornucopia of poverty, with those aged 12 25 years old
adversely affected. The poverty level rates are persistently high in inner city parts
and rural areas compared to the suburban based areas. A 2013 UNICEF
Byronic Hero s Journey
For the past century, feminist narratives have inspired existential viewpoints and
movements that ignite social change. Writers have formed a foundation for societal
progress, which has so far given the marginalized a voice, brought attention to
discrimination, earned women a right to vote, and given femaleperspectives on issues.
However, today s narratives have been subtly deteriorating the progress of feminism,
although hidden by distracting tropes such as the supernatural, science fiction, or
horror. The popularity of such narratives has led to a disdainful and disrespectful
view of feminism, as well as many feminist goals to be counteracted. A novel that
exemplifies this, the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer, has developed an enormous
fan base who idealize traditional genderroles and feminine autonomy, romanticize
abuse and emotional manipulation, and glamorize a static, incapable... Show more

This is a stereotype that feminists are passionately attempting to refute as it regards
gender roles with a hierarchical and inequitable standing. However, the popularity of
Twilight idealizing this literary and social cliche opposes feminist ideals of
nonhierarchical relationships and domestic equality. Edward represents what can be
identified as a Byronic Hero: a manipulative, elitist character with a dark past, similar
to Mr. Darcy of Pride and Prejudice or Mr. Rochester of Jane Eyre (Borgia). These
stereotypical characters similarly profit from their own egoistic dominance, using
abuse and manipulation to transform their relationships into a hierarchy that benefits
them. The idea that this fictitious pop culture icon can be easily compared to abusive
characters in 19th century novels demonstrates the regressive and conservative role
Edward represents, including the abuse that is associated with these
Reflection Paper On Conflict Management
CONFLICT MANAGEMENT my experience
There isn t anyone in this world who do not face conflicts. Conflicts arises
everywhere in everyone s life, whether be it the home or work place or within one s
own mind. No one can avoid conflicts. So we are left with only one option and that
is how tactfully we handle these conflicts .
Disagreements and uncertainties are natural in any conflicts. Different opinions and
perspectives begin to emerge. This may arise because of a number of reasons like
competition for resources, dis agreement over goals or responsibilities, poor
communication, power struggles, or fundamental differences in values, ethics,
attitudes, and personalities.

I do follow avoidance sometimes but ultimately i am left with unsolved conflicts,
which brings me back to either compromising or accommodating or competing level.
But avoidance sometimes helps me in a big way as it gives me sufficient time to
consider, re think and then act.
I take my time, believe in open talks try to resolve the conflicts as soon as possible so
that i can at peace.
Conclusion:
Conflicts can be both positive and negative and should be encouraged in work place
till a certain degree so as to make the individuals and groups come out of their
comfort zone and work on the Zone of concern. The moment the conflict crosses the
zone of concern, it becomes a big problem. It has to be handled immediately then or
else it can be destructive.
It ultimately depends on us as to how we perceive the conflict, whether we take it as
an opportunity or a threat. We cannot control our emotions, our ego, our anger, but
we can definitely find out the best measure to resolve the conflicts. It is well said by
M. Esther Harding that Conflict is the beginning of consciousness.
In short i will just say Don t fear conflict; embrace it it s your job . If you understand

In humans/animals, the main cells that store fat for energy are adipocytes. These
fat cells are found under the skin, in the abdominal cavity and surround major
organs. The fatty tissue is the body s main means of storing energy for long periods
of time. Lipids, like triglycerides are stored in the adipocytes until ready to be used
by the body for energy. Fatis broken down through metabolism in the mitochondria
of the cell. The triglycerides are broken down into glycerol and 3 fatty acids. The
glycerol can be easily converted to glyceraldehyde 3 phosphate, an intermediate of
glycolysis. From there it can go through the Krebs Cycle and electron transport chain
to make ATP. The 3 fatty acids can be broken... Show more content on

Every cell membrane incorporates a fluid mosaic model. The mosaic of protein
molecules embedded in a lipid bilayer. It s fluid as most proteins and lipid molecules
drift through it. The membrane consists of a phospholipid bilayer embedded with
various proteins. The proteins help to get polar/hydrophilic molecules through the
plasma membrane. Polar molecules have difficulty passing thru the hydrophilic
membrane. Nonpolar molecules however, easily pass thru. The proteins can be
integral proteins, meaning they go all the way through the lipid bilayer or peripheral
proteins that sit on the hydrophilic outer layer and wait for something to happen. The
layers are somewhat fluid, allowing the proteins to move across them. See diagram
below.
No fat diets can actually do more harm than good. The body needs moderation of
all energy producing macronutrients; fats, carbohydrates and proteins. By not eating
any fat, the body starts to utilize the fats stored in the body, thus depleting the stores
and people lose weight. However, once those stores are gone, the good fats or HDL s,
are no longer able to filter out the bad cholesterol. This can lead to increased
cholesterol levels in the blood and heart disease. A no fat diet also causes poor
vitamin absorption of the necessary fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K. Fats
transport those vitamins from the liver to various parts of the body.

Does Film Play An Important Role On The Way People...
ABSTRACT:
Religion often plays an important role in film, but does film play an important
role in religion? Perhaps the better question is, Does film play an important role in
the way people understand religious concepts? And the answer to these questions
is YES. Films or movies do play an important role in shaping the mind sets of

followed by Hindu Indians since ancient times. Also, many movies are made based
on these customs and traditions which are mentioned below in the article. Also,
religion is present. There are many religion based movies made and these movies

Activist Movement In The Civil Rights Movement
An activist is a person who campaigns for some kind of social change. Being an
activist means being involved in a protest or a political or social cause. Many
different activist groups exist around the world, fighting for different beliefs and
reasons. Protesting, or being an activist against racial inequality has always existed in
America. Activism for racial equality in America was widely known with rights for
African Americans after slavery but since then diversity has increased over time. Not
only is there still activism for racial equality among African Americans, but also for
many other races that have made America their home, that discrimination. Many
things since the Civil Rights Movement have also changed, like technology and the
use of social media and how it collaborates with activism. Activism is a big part of
American History. One of the most known activist movements in American history is
the Civil Rights Movement. The movement was a non violent protestagainst racial
segregation and discrimination of African Americans. The Civil Rights Movement
began in 1954 and ended in 1968 and was led by Martin Luther King. The Civil
Rights Movement commenced with the liberation of slavery. The movement included
peaceful protests and speeches. It angered White people to think that African
Americans deserved the same rights as them because they wanted to be superior race
and thought of the Blacks as animals.
Another group fighting for racial equality for Black People is

Persuasive Essay On Fishing Pliers
You wake up in the morning and can practically smell that salt air. The ocean calls.
You start to assemble your gear. You check and, yes, you did remember to clean your

Then you spot those needle nose pliers you ve been using to remove hooks. You

Choosing fishing pliers isn t easy because, let s face it, there are so many excellent

The Piscifun Fishing pliers are probably one of our favorites.
Made from anodized, aircraft grade aluminum, these pliers show fantastic corrosion

endure years of hook removals without missing a beat.
These also feature tungsten carbide cutters and the ought to be industry standard, non

  • 1. The Garden Party Essay Crafting an essay on the topic of "The Garden Party" presents a unique set of challenges that require a delicate balance of literary analysis, critical thinking, and creative expression. The difficulty arises from the need to navigate through the intricate layers of symbolism, themes, and character dynamics that Katherine Mansfield intricately weaves into her narrative. Firstly, delving into the nuances of Mansfield's prose demands a keen understanding of the cultural and societal context prevalent during the time of her writing. This includes deciphering the subtle social commentaries and class distinctions embedded within the narrative. Analyzing the characters and their motivations becomes a meticulous task, requiring an acute awareness of the author's intentions. Moreover, constructing a coherent argument around the central themes of "The Garden Party" necessitates a profound grasp of literary techniques, such as symbolism, foreshadowing, and irony. These elements are intricately woven into the fabric of the story, demanding a nuanced interpretation that goes beyond surface-level analysis. Furthermore, successfully conveying one's own insights and interpretations while respecting the ambiguity inherent in Mansfield's work adds an extra layer of complexity. Striking the right balance between personal perspective and scholarly analysis is crucial for an essay that not only demonstrates a deep engagement with the text but also contributes to the ongoing discourse surrounding Mansfield's literary legacy. • 2. My Favorite Month Of The Year Oh, October, my favorite month of the year. For many reasons, October has my heart. It holds the peak of Autumn, my dearest season. It is full of festivities such as pumpkin carving, haunted houses, and of course the traditional dressing up on Halloween. It also holds a large amount of anticipation for Thanksgiving and Christmas, which is debatably better than the holidays themselves. This year, October holds these things along with much more for me. I have experienced a lot this October, but this month seemed to be the light at the end of the tunnel, which made a little sliver of light fall on some important parts of life; from learning the true importance of patience and trust, to coming face to face with love. Practicing patience has never been something I have been good at, in regards to anything, to be honest. Although I m not very good at it, I usually try not to fret too much about how my life seems to be going or if things aren t going the way I want them to, because I trust that the universe will do what it needs to do in order to make me end up exactly where I m supposed to be. I believe that the people who are meant to be in your life will always find their way back, no matter how far either of you may wander. I happened to wander 5 hours away from home, to a completely different state, yet it was still possible for this person to make their way back into my life, almost an entire year later. Up until this October, I had never experienced the idea of love that I
  • 3. Franz Joseph Haydn s Music Franz Joseph Haydn (1732 1809), is one of the eminent composers of the Classical period. He is best known for his symphonies and string quartets, which established standards of quality, style, content, form, and expressivity that other composers emulated. Haydn spent most of his career serving the EsterhГЎzy family (1761 90), which isolated him from the music world, but forced him to become original, as he himself wrote. Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714 1788) greatly influenced Haydn. He was fascinated by the expressive style of C. P. E. Bach, and adopted its passionate quality. The majority of Haydn s keyboard compositions are sonatas. His other keyboard works include piano trios, theme and variations, dances, fantasias, and capriccios.... In Carnaval, although Schumann mentioned that the music was written first and the title chosen afterwards, the titles express his intimate world and musical thoughts. Many titles are representative of real life people. Chiarina is a portrait of Clara Wieck, and Estrella is Ernestine. His friends and musical contemporaries are Chopin and Paganini. Some imaginary characters also participate in Schumann s visionary world. Pierrot, Arlequin, and Pantalon and Colombine are the characters from the Italian Commedia dell Arte. Florestan and Eusebius are his alter egos. These real and not real characters reflect Schumann s personal fantasies, and his aspiration of escaping from reality, even if it is only done
  • 4. The United States And The Euro Area The United States and the euro area are the top two largest economies in the world. This paper is a brief comparison of the central banking systems of the two economies. The paper starts by introducing historical background for the two central banking systems to be established. It then continues to analysis similarities and differences between two central banksystem s organizational structures. Moreover, the paper will also compare monetary policyframeworks of the two systems in terms of monetary policy making organization, objective, transparency, accountability, and strategies. History The Federal Reserve System In 1791, U.S. Congress established the First Bank of the United States, headquartered in Philadelphia in response to the rapidly inflated paper money continentals . However, Congress refused to renew the bank s charter in 1811 because many Americans then were uncomfortable with the idea of a large and powerful bank. By 1816, the idea of a central bank was once again aroused; by a narrow margin, Congress agreed to charter the Second Bank of the United States. But the Second Bank s charter expired in 1836 without a renewal neither. During the Free Bank Era (1836 1865), risks of financial crisis accumulated. In 1893, a banking panic triggered the worst depression the United States had ever seen, and in 1907, a bout of speculation on Wall Street ended in failure, triggering a particularly severe banking panic. On December 23, 1913, President Woodrow Wilson
  • 5. Enthroned Madrandonna And Child With Saints Summary Piero della Francesca s art has always been intriguing to the eyes of the lookers, analysers, every art pieces containing lots of symbolism and meanings. The Altarpiece Madonna and child with Saints adored by Frederico da Montefeltro was one of the work. Piero della Francesca was born in 1412 and was involved in the Early Renaissance movement. His style involved the use of humanism, geometric forms and use of perspective to create art. From what I saw in the piece Enthroned Madonnaand Child with Saints, the first thing I saw was a group of people surrounding a woman with a baby. The atmosphere of the piece seems to be solemn and grief even though the painting was painted in bright colours. It was the facial expressions of the people that depict that it may not be a joyous event. The knight was at the forefront of the painting and almost seems to be bigger than anyone else, it may suggest that he s important in the piece. Piero also used linear perspective in the altarpiece, creating a sense of depth and the vanishing point at around Marys eyes. With the use of geometry, Piero managed to create the background architecture with such clarity which a lot of artists at that time couldn t achieve. Into further observation, instead of thinking that the baby was bleeding, he was wearing a red necklace. The red colour can be represented as blood pouring out of the baby, a symbol of life and death. From the way the baby was positioned, it may be assumed that the baby is either
  • 6. Gay Rights Essay Fighting for Gay Rights In our society we should protect LGBT rights it s unfair that we treat them differently. We should make more changes about how we treat them they should be allowed to go as they please or shop at places they want to shop at. Without being told they can not go in a certain restaurant because the way they are. People should not discriminate the reason being is you never know what that person been through or why they are like that. And it s hard for a person to actually be themselves without people telling them that it s a phase or they are corrupt. In our society we should not have to fight for our rights or act accordingly to what people think of us. In the LGBTcommunity they have a high rate for... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Which is not true they will love they child just like the opposite sex. We support other things that are going on in the world but why not support gay marriage ? or fight for they rights?. They are high risk for suicide rates the reason being they feel like they could not please everyone. They feel like they failed to make everyone happy and reach their standards. My concern are the innocent people that are going through this. The LGBT community already go through enough some of their families disown them because of who they are which is ridiculous. People make them feel guilty because loving another sex is a sin which it is not. Our society thinks children needs a mother and father not a two mothers or two fathers. They are not allowed to serve our country which is heartbreaking because the government feel like they are not fit to do so. Many states still have a ban on gay marriage until this day. Before President Obama left office he promised to help the LGBT community to gain their rights and also appeal the DADT. Our government should take more procession with their rights we have hateful people out there and would like to terminate them. In 2016 the military lifted the ban on transgender people. Which is a start I feel that it should not be a option to pick and choose who to fight for our country. Also I feel that if a person love someone no matter what color , shape , size , gender , etc you should not stop them from finding their true love.
  • 7. The Spirit Catches You And You Fall Down By Anne Fadiman Unfortunately, the world we live is a far cry from perfect. We have all types of barriers and roadblocks that we must face and attempt to overcome on a daily basis. When dealing with healthcare, these barriers and roadblocks can be much scarier and in some cases even deadly. These barriers are not limited to only language, but also to differences in cultures as well. The book entitled The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down by Anne Fadiman highlights the plight of a particular Hmong family in California. The Lee family faced many hardships when they came to America. They were normally mountain people who kept to themselves and did their own thing without any interference or input from the people who lived near them. Now they were thrust into an American city in California, with no way to support themselves without government assistance. When Foua went into labor with her daughter Lia, she had a seemingly positive experience with the delivery. She did not understand a word that anyone said to her during her entire hospital stay, but she thought it was nice that so many people wanted to help her with the birth of her child, because, in her native Chinese culture, a mother usually gave birth to her children alone (Fadiman 8). She did think that it was strange that they gave her ice water to drink because many Hmong believe that cold food makes the blood congeal instead of cleansing the body by flowing freely after birth (9). As Foua left the hospital she signed the
  • 8. Career Construction Interview Essay I am more drawn to qualitative research than I am to quantitative research, so having the opportunity to write in this way and assess a client in these terms is a preference for me. In support of the Career Construction Interview over the O*Net profiler from a counselor perspective is the ability to understand a client on a much deeper level and obtain a significant amount of information, which merely matching interests to careers cannot accomplish. By extracting life experiences, favored role models and preferred book/movie characters, a counselor is able to gain insight (perhaps unrealized by the client) into what may motivate a client to succeed in a career, their underlying values, with whom he/she may like to work with and what sort of environment may bring out the very best in what he/she has to offer.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A further positive aspect of an informal assessment is the ability for a client to express him/herself in full sentences and evoke memories and aspects of his/her experiences that have mattered to him/her. In this way, he/she may experience the exercise as more meaningful and memorable. Finally, the Career Construction Interview may enable clients who have undifferentiated profiles of interest, that is, a set of interests that are not clearly defined, to gain some clarity through a deeper introspection into their preferences in a way that is less formal and anxiety provoking and more engaging (Niles Bowlsbey, 2017, p. 143). By telling stories and gaining some insight into their passions, clients may find their interests become clear and well defined, and link to potential work environments they may not have considered
  • 9. Haarp Research Paper HAARP. Ever heard of it? Probably not, unless you just happen to live in Alaska. HAARP stands for the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program, which is an ionosphere research program that was funded by a combination of the U.S. Air Force, the University of Alaska, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), and the U.S. Navy. This information comes from their own website. Hold on... They are funded by DARPA? That s weird. What s a defense agency funding an ionosphere research program? Are they considering HAARP a weapon? Hmm... According to HAARP, their sole purpose is to analyze the ionosphere and investigate the potential for developing ionosphere enhancement technology for radio communications and surveillance. Used in the facility are a combination of tools such as an IRI ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The VHF/UHF is used as return feedback from the excited atoms in the ionosphere. The digisonde is used to target objects on a double three dimensional plane. As for the magnetometers, they measure magnetization in the ionosphere to indicate polarity and charge amount. The problem we have here is that we have a weapon that has been used for environmental warfare. True, the main purpose the contractors had in mind was to detect anomalies in the ionosphere by bursting it with energy, but if you just think back to science class, when you excite atoms, they collide and after some duration of time, cause lots of heat. Of course, this is limited, but let s say you want to play dangerous. Paired with doping agents like arsenic and boron (which happen to cause Alzheimer s disease) in the atmosphere, you can turn the sky into a giant capacitor or circuit. Have you ever seen a condensation trail from a plane (mainly jet) that persists in the sky? Unless you are extremely high in the atmosphere, that is not normal. They are actually chemical trails from dumping chemicals across the
  • 10. The Impact Of Cybersecurity On The Business World Due the advancement of technology over the past few decades, cybersecurity has become a more prevalent issue for businesses than ever before. Prior to Thanksgiving in 2013, Target experienced the biggest cybersecurity breach in retail history. Target had all the correct controls put in place to prevent the cybersecurity attack. In fact, six months before the attack [Target] began installing a $1.6 million malware detection tool made by the computer securityfirm FireEye, whose customers also include the CIA and the Pentagon (Bloomberg, How Target Blew It). Target s security ignored all the alerts that went off regarding the cybersecurity attack, and stood by as 40 million credit card numbers and 70 million addresses, phone numbers, and other pieces of personal information gushed out of its mainframes (Bloomberg, How Target Blew It). The Target incident is just one example (of many) that demonstrates the need for heightened cybersecurity in the business world. Today, there are various disclosure requirements under multiple financial reporting jurisdictions regarding the impact and cost of cybersecurity breaches. These requirements and disclosures will be discussed in more detail below under the different reporting jurisdictions, including: U.S. GAAP, IFRS, the SEC, and SOX. Disclosure Requirements for Cybersecurity Breaches U.S. GAAP 275 10 IFRS SEC On October 13, 2011, the SEC released guidance for registrants regarding disclosures for cybersecurity risks and

We all know the damage that a broken heart can cause because we have experienced it ourselves or have seen the reproductions on our loved ones. But a broken heart in medical terms is known as Cardiovascular di I have had many broken heart experiences over the last 7 years of my life. I really am still trying to fix my broken heart. My adopted mother held me and she didn t want it to be true but it was. The doctor came into to talk to me and I wasn t ready to talk about me seeing my mother take her last breath and the ventilator and machines make the flat line noise. I just couldn t bare to believe what happened to my mommy. The biggest obstacle thus far in my life would be losing my real mother to a drug addiction. As a child I hated my real parents because they were drug addicts and sometimes gave me drugs. I hated my dad because did inappropriate things to me, sell me to other men for drugs, and he would drug me or make me drink. I hated both my parent but I took it out on my mother mostly because she would stop the men from hurting me or she was to strung out on drugs. I remember telling her I hated he cause when I got my first period she had to announce to the world. I was only in 5th grade and overweight. My mother was more into drugs because of my father he would make her do them and she would be sitting there like a zombie or her sugar would be too low. In the 6th grade I was found in the back of car in the trunk on Christmas Eve. I was taking away from my parents. I was put in a foster care home with my cousin. My parents had numerous chances to come see me. Eventually they signed me

Lgbt Community And The Community The main topic of the paper will be discussing about the LGBT community or, also known as the GLBT community, which is defined as a group of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders. The LGBT community organizes a lot of support and movement for civil rights all around the world, for example, parades. The paper in mind for this integrative project will be discussing about how North Americans became more approachable to be acceptant towards the LGBTcommunity mainly concentrating in Canada and the United States. It is in fact true, North Americans societal attitudes have increased according to researches, that society is more accepting toward the LGBT community. However, only 19% from the LGBT community says there is a lot of social acceptance in our current world. Whereas a lot of the people from this group says they still have been rejected by their family and been called by slurs or jokes. However, the media has been working a lot more into spreading the message of the acceptance and equality amongst this discriminated community. Brands and medias (television shows, movies, reality shows) have been including people from the LGBT community in their work, for example, Disney kids TV shows now show same sex parents and American Eagle includes gay couples and heterosexual couples in their commercials. • 13. Essay about Reagan and Gorbachev Reagan and Gorbachev During his first term, Reagan denounced the pre Gorbachev Soviet Union as an evil empire. The Cold War took place between the United States (US) and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) from the mid 1940 s to the early 1990s. Children that experience being ignored, will then lead to the ego mind concluding that one is invisible and the associations will then follow (Cooper). The ego mind is a term to explain how children create associations with different actions and behaviors as safe or unsafe. The problem with this behavior, is that what may be considered safe, may lead to more pain and suffering later in life. The provinces allowed for regular imports of grains, trades of exotic goods, monetary tributes, and importation of slaves. These factors helped fuel and strength the Roman economy. Grain was an important part of everyday life, and Rome relied heavily on the provinces to supply the needed amount of grain. The need to secure grain providing provinces was one of many important factors that would lead to the expansion and conquests of the Roman State. (UNRV., n.d.). One of the many reasons for the Roman conquests in the first place was to secure grain supplies. The provinces would supply grains to Rome at a lower price than Roman grain,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many of the imports that the provinces supplied were considered high grade. For example, wine from Eygpt was considered to be the best, olive oil from southern Spain was a luxury, and silk from India would have been an item only the rich could afford (Cartwright, M., 2013, December 17). The provinces would also have provided items such as spices, pottery, ivory, and terracotta. Importations of the exotic items would have impacted the Roman economy by raising the values of those items. Olive oil would have been more expensive because it would have a higher value. Slaves and tributes benefited the Roman economy by allowing for cheap labour and by providing money for the Roman treasury (Wasson, D., 2015, November 29). Slavery impacted the Roman economy via cheap human labour resources and slaves markets. Monterary tributes filled the Roman treasury, allowed for Roman buildings, and pay for individuals holding public office. There was also many forms of labour available, allowing for competitiveness in the job market. Unlike most modern feminists, Paul upholds certain distinctions in marital and church roles, as seen in his many letters to churches like 1 Corinthians and 1 Timothy. But in the book of Romans, it can be seen that Paul had an inclusive attitude towards women Christians in the church. Firstly, Paul declares in Romans that men and women are fundamentally equal in the eyes of God. They are equally sinners saved by grace (Romans 3:23 24). Neither is uniquely responsible for the other s sins, and both receive the same standing before God, including the promise of eternal life, through faith in Christ (DeLashmutt). Paul s letter to the Romans reflects the socio political dynamics of the city during the first century in his careful wording of passages in the book. • 35. Single Men In Pride And Prejudice Essay It is not a coincidence that the very first sentence in Jane Austen s Pride and Prejudice forecasts one of the most predominant themes in the novel and in Elizabethan literature. Only a male can inherit his family s property and fortune, and so it behooves a woman, especially one used to a high standard of living, to pursue marriagewith a wealthy man. It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife (Austen 1). The sentence provides an overview for the book as well, which concerns itself with the pursuit of single men in possession of a good fortune . This motif of Elizabethan marriages continues through the rest of the first passage when Mrs. Bennet announces the arrival of Mr. Bingly at Netherfield. By attacking his pride, Elizabeth critiques Darcy on his conduct rather than his highborn standing. This leads Darcy into a mixture of distress and self contemplation. He begins to reevaluate himself and starts his progress towards a new improved model of his former self, which leads to him winning Elizabeth s heart in Volume
  • 36. The Relationship Between Grks And Arrestins 2.3.2GRKs and пЃў arrestins GPCR desensitization is a deactivation of GPCR elicited signaling following prolonged or repeated agonist exposure. A major mechanism underlying desensitization is agonist stimulated phosphorylation and endocytosis of the receptor. The second messenger dependent protein kinases were originally regarded as the principal mediators of GPCR phosphorylation and desensitization. However, following the discovery of G protein coupled receptor kinases (GRKs, originally called пЃў adrenoceptor kinases), the GRKs have been shown to play a central role in the agonist induced desensitization of many GPCRs (Kelly 2008). For example, пЃў arrestins can mediate sustained ERK phosphorylation or protective mGluR signaling, which are G protein independent processes (Emery 2010, Wang 2016). At the end of GPCR cycles, a regulator of G protein signaling (RGS) acts as GTPase activating proteins (GAPs), leading to GTP hydrolysis and reversing the receptor to an initial resting state (Sato 2015). Different GRK subtypes combined with the action of пЃў arrestins can contribute the endocytosis of Group I mGluRs in an agonist dependent manner; however, the results are inconsistent (reviewed in Refs: Iacovelli 2013, Kim 2008). Both GRK2 and GRK4 induce the agonist induced internalization of mGluR1a, which appears to require GRK2 mediated phosphorylation of the S869 V893 region of mGluR1a when expressed in HEK cells (Iacovelli 2003, Sallese 2000, Mundell 2003). These agonist induced internalization processes are пЃў arrestin 1/2 and dynamin dependent (Mundell 2001, 2002, 2003). пЃў arrestin 1 appears to be important in mGluR1 endocytosis; however, the agonist stimulated internalization of mGluR1a is observed only when пЃў arrestin 1 is co expressed with either GRK2 or GRK5 in HEK cells. GRK2, GRK5, пЃў arrestin 1, or пЃў arrestin2 individually has no significant effect on the internalization of mGluR1a (Dale 2001). пЃў arrestin 1, but not пЃў arrestin 2, selectively interacts with mGluR1a and is redistributed to the same

Zinc is more corrosion resistant than iron because its oxide, ZnO, adheres to the surface of the metal rather than exposing the zinc to the atmosphere (Tinaroth, 2013). This prevents oxygenand water from reaching the ironunderneath but the zincalso acts as a sacrificial metal (Tinaroth, 2013). The effect of poverty on American youth has been a controversial and has triggered a great debate across not only the poverty reduction proponents and opponents but also society. A clear understanding of poverty impacts on American based youth is highly imperative for all professionals, welfare organizations and adults called upon to support the younger generations to come. According to several journals such as Prevention Researcher; the effects of povertyare immense among youth. Therefore, any poverty reduction proponents must first engage in surveying meaning, causes, theories on poverty and finally the impacts on youth in America. American youth poverty statistical figures reveal that poverty continues to encroach progressively to the youth community. Steven Ungerleider, Ph.D. and the founding editor of The Prevention Researcher in 1994 discussed information about the effects of poverty on youth in America. Programs that create supportive based environments for youth, strategies for preventing various problems affecting youth in America and resources that help youth serving professionals and families. The main idea behind the objectives of this dissertation is to address the impact of impecuniosity on American youth (Steven Wheaton, June 06, 2010). To meet this objective, the research purpose is to critically look into the meaning of poverty and especially to youth, causes, theories and finally link to impacts. Poverty is a state of privation or lack of usual socially accepted amount of basic needs or money to meet one s daily needs. The U.S government has set the poverty threshold that defines poverty among youth as the lack of necessary goods and services commonly termed back the mainstream based society as a basic. The official youth poverty threshold is embedded on inflation and consumer price index. In 2012, the U.S government revealed that youth from 58.5 percent of all Americans wallowed in cornucopia of poverty, with those aged 12 25 years old adversely affected. The poverty level rates are persistently high in inner city parts and rural areas compared to the suburban based areas. A 2013 UNICEF

However, today s narratives have been subtly deteriorating the progress of feminism, although hidden by distracting tropes such as the supernatural, science fiction, or horror. The popularity of such narratives has led to a disdainful and disrespectful view of feminism, as well as many feminist goals to be counteracted.
