2. Brief Introduction to our Story
Starts with the protagonist having a normal day, then go through cuts of his normal day and at the end of the,
looks at his phone and he has messages from someone he's trying the avoid (Unknown Number), he comes
home from work/whatever and sits on the sofa and ends up falling asleep, then we have a range of shots of
his phone and messages popping up from the unknown number saying things like (where are u, I'm at the
door, open up, ETC)
(Fade to Black) then he wakes up in the middle of a dark room with a non-diegetic voice interrogating him
and the protagonist saying things like (who are you, where am I, ETC), then a series of fast paced cuts from
different angles and the character getting angry, sad, frustrated then 'random' people start popping up
saying he's done bad things (You're a monster, murderer, psychopath, ETC), and the realization sets in and
then we roll a short and quick montage then we have production label and that stuff
Reference:Rough number of shots we need: 30-45
4. Film Name (Marcus)
My thought process behind the title name was due to the fact that
the protagonist wakesup and is accused of multiple murders but
doesn’t rememberit because he was having a manic episode and
doesn’t remembercommitting such horrendous actions.

9. Media A2 planning-Trailer
Treatment-Jack Corrigan
After the appropriate audience certificate has been displayed, We cut to character A(Mike) waking up
from his sleep, slowly introducing us to him, his personality and his normal lifestyle. We are given many
different factors connoting to the meaning of a normal life daily routine like having breakfast, turning on
the shower and having breakfast. Giving other several connotations establishing this character to the
audience as a normal person and granting them a sense of relatability as our main character. As when
Mike is leaving there are small occurrences given on his way out like shadows moving into the
background watching him. As we follow him onto the problem phase as it emerges from a conversation
with character B(Tim), in this conversation Tim interrupts Mike and asks him about the whereabouts of
character C(Luke: a close friend who has recently gone missing), he asks more in a prosecuting tone
rather than curious. Once Mike returns home it seems all sort of danger is gone, when he sits down to
watch tv, he receives a text telling him to admit what he has done and how he is a monster, he connotes
how the audience is feeling. Leaving them with suspense and wondering what will happen next with his
confused facial expression but before he can react he finds himself suddenly falling unconscious and
then waking up in a new mystery location. After waking up he hears a mysterious voice exclaiming the
same words as the texts with Mike refusing any recollection of the events, after being trapped in the
room after time we see the psychological effects on Mike from the isolation, forcing him to struggle with
his past and remember all the people he has hurt creating forming a fight between himself and the other
half of his mind, keeping the audience at the end of their seats wondering how this could play out.

30. Font research (Khaled)
As part of my planning and research I
decided to look at what fonts to use for the
movie title and other elements of my
product. I have looked at these fonts in my
research so that they can reflect my group's
product well and professionally. The
website I Used to search for the fonts is
“DaFonts”. I used this website because it is
very easy to use, and contains a variety of
different fonts that are suitable for my
product. I have also gained more knowledge
about movie fonts by looking at some
examples of psychological thriller movie
fonts such as Inception, Shutter Island, and
The Hole.
My group and I worked together
to research specific fonts that
would fit into the psychological
thriller genre and would be
appropriate to use for our film,
trailer and teaser trailer in order
to add to the suspense and
atmosphere of the film and
make it more appealing for the
audience. Continuing on, I will
be reviewing the results of the
survey and explain why people
picked their options.
My group and I are aiming to
ensure that the font we use
would not look stereotypical
and cliché. We also wanted to
make the font fit into the genre
of psychological thrillers.
However, the font above does
not look suitable for the genre
we want, instead it looks more
catered towards the action
genre. Furthermore the font
looks outdated and too
stereotypical to use for our
movie name, and our audience
did not seem to be a fan of this
font, this is obvious as the font
did not get any votes. Therefore
we will not be considering using
this font for our products.
31. Font Research Continued
Looking at the results, 62.5% of
the audience have voted for
the font above called “Split
On”. My group and I believe
that this font has a unique look
to it and does not look
stereotypical or cliché.
Although the lettering is so
simple and minimalistic, the line
through the title could connote
the storyline and contrast the
man's normal everyday life to
waking up in an interrogation
room. Therefore this makes it
the font that we will be using for
our product.
We decided to include this font
because we were attracted to
the lettering. The font itself has a
unique look about it where it
can foreshadow the
kidnapping of someone as the
lettering seems like it is about to
fade away. However, the font
could be perceived in a
different way as it can confuse
the audience making them
think that the movie fits into the
sci-fi genre.
The reason why my group and I
have included this font, is
because this has drawn in
some of us and the audience
itself. We felt like this font is not
hackneyed and it could be
used in our products. My group
and I also felt like that the font
could have a deeper meaning
into it such as, how the lettering
of the fonts can represent the
protagonists inner thoughts and
conscience. However only a
specific amount of the
audience voted for this font,
therefore we will not be using it.
32. Location Recce (Khaled)
A location recce is recce where you visit a filminglocation before filming to gather information and work out suitabilityfor filming. Performing a
location recce before filming is very crucial and it helps the production team to be more organized and prepared for when they start filming.
This is the bedroom that we would use for the opening scene where the protagonist wakes up and starts his day off. We chose this location as this
would be the most suitable to film as the first scene is mainly about waking up. We made sure that we were careful in this room, as it was a bit tight
meaning that it would be tricky to shoot our scene.
In the next couple of shots after the opening scene will be shot in the hallway and the bathroom of Jack's apartment. The next couple of shots will
involve the protagonist walking in the hallway, then entering the bathroom to get ready for his day. There are no risks in this location as there is
nothing getting in the way of the production team and the actors. This location would also be ideal for us
After the scene where the protagonist gets ready in the bathroom. The next few shots will be taken in Jack's living room. In these shots we will see the
protagonist having his breakfast and getting on with his day. There are no risks to using this location as there is enough space to film and there
are no hazards around. This means that it would be suitable for the production team.
33. Location Recce Continued
Furthermore after filming the scenes in Jack’s apartment, the production team will move to Gardens Plaza to film the
protagonist entering the villagesquare and then enter the supermarket. In the next couple of shots wewill see the
protagonist purchase some groceries and a drink to freshen himself. The only risk of filming in this location is the amount of
cars that will be going past us and the production teamshould be very cautiousof that.
In the next couple of shots the production teamwill film in this location, to show that the protagonist is shopping for groceries
and meeting up with Tim. This location would be suitable as it contains no hazards meaning that the production team can
assure the safety of themselves. However there would be one risk to this, which is that the production teamwill not be
allowed to filmin this location and get kicked out by the security.
The last couple of shots would be filmed in this location. The last couple of shots will include the protagonist getting
interrogated and threatened by the abductor. My group and I have encountered a hazard, which is if tripped over the
ironing board. However we got rid of this risk by moving the iron board somewhere safe.
34. Risk Assesment - Zaahid
Risk assessments are very important as they form an integral part of a good occupational health and safety management plan. They help to create
awareness of hazards and risks, identify who may be at risk, determine if existing control measures are enough or if more should be done, prevent injuries or
illnesses when done at the design or planning stage and prioritize hazards and control measures.
One of the risks that our group has encountered would be the use of the knife. Using a knife in the movie production can be very dangerous and harmful if not
handled correctly, as it is very sharp. Especially since in one of our scenes we have our abductor threaten and interrogate the protagonist with a knife and
pointing it towards him. This means that one minor mistake such as a slip up could possibly harm the protagonist and lead to menacinginjuries. However, this
risk can be maintained and avoided at all costs. This can be done by making sure that the abductor is very careful when pointing at the knife and pointing it
towards people for a short duration of time. We then made sure that when we were done with the knife, we put it away in a bag to make sure no one stumbles
on it to avoid serious injuries.
Another risk that our group has encounteredwould be the crossing of roads to sidewalks. Crossing roads while recordingcan be very dangerous for both the
crew and the actors, as one small miscalculation can cause a very impactful injury to the group. However, this risk can be avoidable by waiting for all the
cars to go by and making sure that none are comes during the recording of our scenes. We have also made sure that we would record in the perfect time
where there would not be as much traffic, for example between 9am-11am in the morning, as this would reduce the amount of trouble and issues.
35. Poster MockUps -
Zaahid
My poster mockups I didn't know
we weren't allowed to use
Google Images and I made
three posters withimages from
google and used Pixlr Editor to
change it to our style.
However, if we used images that
did not belong to us the poster
would not have been an original
item or made from scretch and
we could have ended up in
trouble. Therefore, the teacher
told us to abandon these three
posters and myself Jack and
Marcus worked on one poster
37. Shooting schedule/contingency plan (Marcus
and Zaahid)
A contingency planis designed to help us respond effectively to a significant futuresituation that may or may not happen.
A contingency planis sometimes referred to as "PlanB," because it can be also used as an alternativefor action if expected results fail
to materialize.
Due to Covid-19 we have to understand all the measures put in place, such as wearing masks in public areas and if in contact with someone with
Covid self-isolate.
If one of our characters don’t show up we will all bring an extra set of clothes to help us change to fit in another character.
We are also filming at mostpeople'shouses and using, our parent's cars we need to make sure we all show up on a specifcday.
