Luke is a lonely boy who is bullied at his new school. One day, the bullies trick him into believing an old lamp is magical and can grant wishes. That night, a genie appears from the lamp. Luke makes a wish to pass his exam, but when the genie appears during the test, Luke is disqualified for cheating. He angrily yells at the genie, causing the girl he likes to storm off. Luke wishes it had never happened, and the genie sends him back to before finding the lamp to try again. Weeks later, Luke is popular and passing his exams, with the girl on his arm.

The students at Istituto Comprensivo San Giovanni Bosco in Catania, Italy have created a collecting point in their school as part of a Comenius project called G.R.E.E.N. Being a withdrawn and lonely character he is frequently bullied by a group of boys.[Motivation for why he is bullied - the fact that he's a prime target because he's always alone and quite unconfident] They usually make harsh comments about the fact that he has no apparent life or any friends. Luke finds comfort in playing video games and watching dvd's where he gets lost in his own world of fantasy.[Creates diegsis for the film - fantasy]. One day he's playing on his psp under the table in class when he notices the class dismissing, and he too begins to pack away his things. Once everyone has left except him and the bullies they approach him and begin sniggering amongst themselves. They pull out a gold lamp and decide to play a trick on Luke and tell him that it is magical and grants wishes.
- 3. Being gullable[Character motivation for believing the bullies - it's in his character to believe almost anything and his wild imagination of fantasy also adds to this.] he believes them and becomes intrigued by the lamp. The bullies trade him the lamp for his psp and Luke takes it home. [Narrative development - The story is moving along, entering the lamp.]Once home he does what the bullies suggested and rubs the lamp. Nothing happens. He tries making a wish out loud thinking it may work that way but nothing happens. He goes to bed feeling like a fool. Waking in the morning he notices someone in the room!
- 4. The girl looks around the room at his possessions, picking up dvd's and games exploring Luke's bedroom and she eventually reveals to him that she is his new genie and it was her lamp he rubbed previously.[Narrative development - new characters introduced helping to continue the narrative.] They are walking down the corridor of his school having a conversation, but Luke explains that he's got an exam to go to and that she must remain hidden until he returns and she agrees. He asks her if she heard his wish from yesterday - To pass his exam - and she claims she did and has already granted it for him. He then asks her if he can make his second wish for the girl he likes to notice him
- 5. The genie says she will work on it and he goes to his test. [Character development - shows what Luke wants and portrays some more of his character]. While he's in his exam the genie appears next to him, he begins talking to her and asking her why she's there but no one else can see the genie so to the teacher it appears that Luke is cheating so she disqualifies him from the test.[Plot twist 1 - He is meant to pass his test but he infact gets removed from it turning the story in another direction]. While he's waiting outside he begins arguing with the genie, and as he does the girl he likes begins walking towards him, to her it just looks like he is leaning against the wall alone. As she approaches him he shouts at the genie to "GO AWAY AND LEAVE ME ALONE!". [Character development - he becomes angry and this reveals some more characteristics of him].
- 6. The girl assumes he is talking to her and storms off. [Plot twist 2 - The story again takes another turn as the second wish also goes wrong.]The genie however over hears Luke say "I wish none of this had even happened!" and she decides to give it one last try. Luke is next seen back in the exam at the same time as before. Then a few weeks later show Luke walking through school with loads of people saying hello to him and he opens his exam results to reveal a PASS and on his arm is the girl he liked. [Concluding ending - ties up all lose ends].
