This document is a screenplay summary for the film "Hellion". It follows a teenage boy named Thomas who is bullied at school. He makes a wish for the bully to be dead, and the next day finds out the bully has died. Thomas interacts with a mysterious voice in his head. The voice encourages his violent behavior. Thomas begins to suspect the voice is responsible for the deaths, but the voice insists Thomas is the one in control. The screenplay explores Thomas grappling with whether he is responsible for the deaths or being manipulated by the voice in his head.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

The map views are useful for providing a geographical representation of data. They allow users to visualize and analyze the data in a more intuitive manner.
2. Fade In:
Int. Boy’s Bedroom:
Shot focused on the teenagers’ face with the camera on
the ceiling. He is lying in bed staring upwards towards
the camera.
Int. Downstairs
Teenager is shown running down the stairs, hugging his
mom, picking up his bag and leaving his house.
Int. Outside
The shot then shows him walking down the road and him at
a crossing point. The shot then stays stationary as it
zooms in on the kids bag with a devil's face on the back.
Next begins a short pan shot of a road, then pans from
the road up to a person's face.
Title screen ‘Hellion’ rolls (graphic on screen).
Int School
The teenager will be walking into a school and the
opening title credits will roll. Teenager is in lesson.
Really bored. Background noise from the teacher
responding to pupils.
THOMAS
“Sir, may I be excused?”
TEACHER
“Yes, you may.”
Int Bathroom
He goes to the bathroom, and he stands in front of the
mirror while washing his hands and starts talking to a
voice; but you cannot hear anyone or see anyone else. The
camera is outside of the bathroom with a focus on the
window so you can see him talking but cannot hear
anything. There is a boy outside called Jay who sees him
talking to himself.
JAY
(He mutters under his breath.)
“What a weirdo.”
3. .2
Jay walks away. Thomas leaves the bathroom and goes back
to class.
Int Outside of School
Class ends, Thomas walks outside and there is a bunch of
people in a group.
ADRIAN (BULLY)
“Hey, new kid, come here! We’ve seen you
talking to yourself you weirdo!
THOMAS
“Wh- what?”
Group leader grabs him by the neck and starts to call him
names. He pushes him to the floor and the group all start
laughing. Thomas picks up his bag and walks home.
Int House
Thomas opens the door and before his mom can greet him
and say hello he runs up the stairs.
Int Bedroom
He opens his bedroom door and gets into bed. Camera shows
his face - really upset. The voice starts talking to him.
VOICE
“Hard day today? *laughing*
THOMAS
“I wish that guy was dead.”
Scene fades to black.
4. .3
Int School
The boy is walking to school again and reaches reception.
He is late and when he goes to sign in he notices a
memorial in the corner of the reception with the bully's
face on it.
THOMAS
“Excuse me; what’s that memorial there
for?
RECEPTIONIST
“It’s for Adrian. He died yesterday? Did
you not go to the assembly?
THOMAS
“N- no? I must’ve missed it, sorry. Thank
you.”
He walks to class and the camera shows his face through
the window on the door, bemused and confused.
Int Outside School
The teenager walks out of the school at the end of the
day. He sees the group of people that were with the bully
yesterday including Jay, they glance at him and he
glances back solemnly and walks away. Jay catches up with
him.
JAY
“Tom, I’m sorry for being a douche, I was
just following what Adrian and everyone
else was doing…”
THOMAS
“You think I’m just going to forgive you?
Just because Adrian is dead doesn’t mean
you can throw him under the bus and use
him as an excuse.”
JAY
“What? I’m just trying to apologise.
Can’t you see that?”
THOMAS
“Forget it.”
5. .4
VOICE
“You did the right thing. He’s not worth
our time.”
Int Outside - Graveyard
He walks to the site of a graveyard, towards a tombstone
separated from the rest and with the writing on it faded
out.
THOMAS
“You think he deserved it?”
VOICE
“No. But people die everyday. Good
people.”
THOMAS
“They don’t have to though, do they? You
do this because you enjoy it, not because
they deserve it.”
VOICE
“Well when people threaten you, they get
what they deserve. Maybe if you stood up
for yourself more, this guy would still
be alive.”
THOMAS
“He was a drunk, but he didn't deserve to
die.”
VOICE
“You did this. Not me. I merely..
encouraged you to do it. Lets go home.”
Int House
MOM
“Hello Thomas, how was school?”
THOMAS
“Someone died today mom. I think I'm
gonna go to bed for a little while.”
MOM
“Oh my god, are you okay? *hugs him* How
are you?”
6. .5
THOMAS
“Me? I- I’m fine mom. Love you.”
MOM
“If you need anything, you will let me
know won’t you?”
THOMAS
“Yes. I promise.
She hugs him and you see an OTS shot of his face looking
emotionless. He walks up the stairs, with the camera
having the boys' bag and him walking up the stairs in the
same shot.
Int Bedroom
Shot cuts to him in sitting on his bed. You then you hear
the voice talking again. Thomas responds and asks him
what happened.
House - Bedroom:
THOMAS
“Did you do this?!” He asked in disgust.
VOICE
“Me? Oh please, I haven't done anything.
You’re the one who’s done it all. Even
your dad, as much as you deny it, was
your murder, not mine.”
THOMAS
“NO! I didn’t mean it! Grrr! *throws
chair* I wish you weren’t in my head! I
wish you never existed!
VOICE
“You know I can never leave.”
THOMAS
“I wish you would just die!”
The boy stops speaking. The camera cuts to black and you
see the boy smiling. The end.
