The SinBIOTA database was created in 2000 by the Biota-FAPESP Program to house biodiversity data from research projects it funds in compliance with the Convention on Biological Diversity. It contains records of occurrences, specimens, projects, and users. The structured online database allows different types of users to enter, edit, and query biodiversity data and taxonomic information integrated with other global biodiversity databases. It is aimed to be improved with new technologies like mobile access, enhanced data sharing and social features to better support biodiversity research and conservation efforts in São Paulo state.

Aos Project and Realization

This document discusses making biobank data and samples FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).
It explains the four FAIR principles and provides examples of how to apply each one. To make resources findable, they need unique and persistent identifiers, rich metadata, and to be discoverable through other systems. To make them accessible, they need to be retrievable using open standards. To make them interoperable, standards for knowledge representation like ontologies should be used. And to make them reusable, they need to be richly described and released with clear usage terms and provenance.

This paper introduces work around metadata interoperability that has taken place in the context of the Agricultural Learning Repositories Task Force (AgLR-TF), an international community of the stakeholders that are involved in agricultural learning repositories. It particularly focuses on a review and assessment of metadata application profiles that are currently implemented in agricultural learning repositories. The results of this study can be found useful by who are designing, implementing and operating agricultural learning repositories, facilitating thus metadata interoperability in this application field.

En el ámbito del desarrollo del Programa SciELO con base en sus líneas prioritarias de acción en pro de la profesionalización e internacionalización de las revistas científicas que indexa, la adopción de la marcación de los textos completos en XML representa un avance crítico que todas las colecciones y revistas deberán adoptar en el futuro próximo. Tratase de un cambio significativo que afecta los sistemas tradicionales de edición de revistas científicas.
En el Modelo SciELO de publicación el archivo con el texto completo en XML pasa a ser considerado como fuente primaria para preservación digital y generación de los diferentes formatos de presentación como el HTML, el PDF, el ePUB, etc. La estructura del archivo es descrita en el SciELO Publishing Schema (PS) que es basado en la norma NISO Journal Article Tag Suite (JATS).
La gestión y operación de servicios de publicación con textos estructurados en el formato XML según el SciELO PS, permite la identificación detallada y precisa de los elementos bibliográficos de los artículos, contribuí para mejorar la calidad bibliográfica de los textos, su indización e interoperabilidad en la Web, la preservación digital y la posibilidad de publicación en diferentes tipos de formatos y presentación en diversos dispositivos.
En ese sentido, el Taller de Actualización la Metodología SciELO tiene como objetivo intercambiar informaciones y experiencias acerca del flujo de publicación basado en el SciELO PS de manera a facilitar su adopción.
El taller comprende aspectos teóricos y prácticos acerca de la metodología SciELO y de los programas utilizados para generación de los archivos en XML de acuerdo con el SciELO PS-v1.3.More Related Content

En el ámbito del desarrollo del Programa SciELO con base en sus líneas prioritarias de acción en pro de la profesionalización e internacionalización de las revistas científicas que indexa, la adopción de la marcación de los textos completos en XML representa un avance crítico que todas las colecciones y revistas deberán adoptar en el futuro próximo. Tratase de un cambio significativo que afecta los sistemas tradicionales de edición de revistas científicas.
En el Modelo SciELO de publicación el archivo con el texto completo en XML pasa a ser considerado como fuente primaria para preservación digital y generación de los diferentes formatos de presentación como el HTML, el PDF, el ePUB, etc. La estructura del archivo es descrita en el SciELO Publishing Schema (PS) que es basado en la norma NISO Journal Article Tag Suite (JATS).
La gestión y operación de servicios de publicación con textos estructurados en el formato XML según el SciELO PS, permite la identificación detallada y precisa de los elementos bibliográficos de los artículos, contribuí para mejorar la calidad bibliográfica de los textos, su indización e interoperabilidad en la Web, la preservación digital y la posibilidad de publicación en diferentes tipos de formatos y presentación en diversos dispositivos.
En ese sentido, el Taller de Actualización la Metodología SciELO tiene como objetivo intercambiar informaciones y experiencias acerca del flujo de publicación basado en el SciELO PS de manera a facilitar su adopción.

O II Curso de Atualização SciELO-ScholarOne será realizado no dia 16 de Setembro de 2016 no Auditório Governador Carlos Alberto de Carvalho Pinto da FAPESP, em São Paulo. Daremos sequência à experiência bem sucedida da primeira edição realizada no ano passado. O curso é parte integral do do programa de aperfeiçoamento dos periódicos SciELO.
Já são 115 periódicos da Coleção SciELO Brasil que utilizam o sistema, alguns há mais de 4 anos. Desde então, vários periódicos passaram por mudanças em suas equipes ou políticas editoriais. Ao mesmo tempo, novos recursos foram inseridos no sistema ScholarOne. O curso tem o propósito de atualizar e nivelar o conhecimento entre as equipes editoriais dos periódicos. O Programa SciELO / FAPESP realiza um grande investimento para disponibilizar este serviço e a expectativa é alcançar o melhor uso possível do serviço.
A programação será elaborada com base nas linhas de ação SciELO de Profissionalização, Internacionalização e Sustentabilidade, e abordará conteúdos avançados sobre o uso do sistema ScholarOne, boas práticas, erros comuns, resolução de problemas, dicas de uso, dentre outros.
O conteúdo do curso estará alinhado com os novos critérios de admissão e permanência na Coleção SciELO Brasil (Setembro/2014) e de que forma o ScholarOne pode ser configurado para ajudar a atendê-los. Os Critérios SciELO Brasil exigem que até o final de 2015 todos os periódicos indexados devem processar a avaliação dos manuscritos online com um sistema ou serviço próprio ou contratado que atenda os requisitos do SciELO na produção de estatísticas sobre o fluxo de processamento de artigos, como são o número de manuscritos recebidos, porcentagem de rejeitados imediatamente, porcentagem de aprovados após avaliação por editores associados e pareceristas, afiliação nacional e estrangeira dos autores, editores e pareceristas envolvidos. Além do ScholarOne, o SciELO disponibiliza para os periódicos indexados o sistema de submissão OJS (Sistema SciELO de Publicação).

It provides news, applications, and research on environmental topics. Visitors can follow research, measure data, develop applications using data, and access data for practical uses. The site also shares citizen-observed algal blooms and pollen maps. It is designed to serve different user groups through categorized articles on data collection, processing, and use across responsive design on all devices. Future developments include expanding the open data catalog and combining environmental data on an interactive map.
Impact of NRM research - the way forward

Stakeholder Outreach and Engagement - Encouraging Use of New Scientific Data
The document outlines the communications and outreach strategy used by the EPA's ToxCast program to engage stakeholders on its new high-throughput screening data. It provides over 6,000 datasets from UK and international sources, and supports data users throughout the research process. The UK Data Archive preserves data in the long term. Users can search, access, and analyze data online or download it for teaching and research. The UK Data Service also provides expert advice on data management and sharing best practices.
RDA Governance

Being FAIR: FAIR data and model management
In recent years we have seen a change in expectations for the management of all the outcomes of research – that is the “assets” of data, models, codes, SOPs, workflows. The “FAIR” (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship [1] have proved to be an effective rallying-cry. Funding agencies expect data (and increasingly software) management retention and access plans. Journals are raising their expectations of the availability of data and codes for pre- and post- publication. The multi-component, multi-disciplinary nature of Systems and Synthetic Biology demands the interlinking and exchange of assets and the systematic recording of metadata for their interpretation.
Our FAIRDOM project (http://www.fair-dom.org) supports Systems Biology research projects with their research data, methods and model management, with an emphasis on standards smuggled in by stealth and sensitivity to asset sharing and credit anxiety. The FAIRDOM Platform has been installed by over 30 labs or projects. Our public, centrally hosted Asset Commons, the FAIRDOMHub.org, supports the outcomes of 50+ projects.
Now established as a grassroots association, FAIRDOM has over 8 years of experience of practical asset sharing and data infrastructure at the researcher coal-face ranging across European programmes (SysMO and ERASysAPP ERANets), national initiatives (Germany's de.NBI and Systems Medicine of the Liver; Norway's Digital Life) and European Research Infrastructures (ISBE) as well as in PI's labs and Centres such as the SynBioChem Centre at Manchester.
In this talk I will show explore how FAIRDOM has been designed to support Systems Biology projects and show examples of its configuration and use. I will also explore the technical and social challenges we face.
I will also refer to European efforts to support public archives for the life sciences. ELIXIR (http:// http://www.elixir-europe.org/) the European Research Infrastructure of 21 national nodes and a hub funded by national agreements to coordinate and sustain key data repositories and archives for the Life Science community, improve access to them and related tools, support training and create a platform for dataset interoperability. As the Head of the ELIXIR-UK Node and co-lead of the ELIXIR Interoperability Platform I will show how this work relates to your projects.

There is no single model that describes how marine biodiversity and ecosystems are fairing or predict how they will change in the future under increasing anthropogenic pressures. Thus there is no unique set of Essential Ocean Variables (EOVs) for biological components of the ecosystem that will satisfy the scientific understanding needed to support and monitor management actions. Yet there is a need to come to international agreement on a set of variables that can be developed globally to support advanced and advancing countries and international conventions in understanding and managing the marine environment. The DPSIR framework is a commonly accepted framework used to identify the information needs to understand and manage human impacts on the environment and provides one high level model that can guide the process to identify EOVs. It is a complex space with many existing initiatives that we need to integrate with and build on. In this talk we are seeking input and feedback on our early progress in filling in this framework:

1. This series of presentations was given at the EarthCube Data Facilities End-User Workshop held January 15-17, 2014 in Washington, DC. O IV Curso de Atualização SciELO-ScholarOne será realizado no dia 13 de Setembro de 2019 no Auditório Governador Carlos Alberto de Carvalho Pinto da FAPESP, em São Paulo. Daremos sequência às experiências bem sucedidas das edições realizadas em 2015, 2016 e 2017. O curso é parte integral do programa de aperfeiçoamento dos periódicos SciELO.
Já são 147 periódicos da Coleção SciELO Brasil que utilizam o sistema, alguns há mais de 7 anos. Desde então, vários periódicos passaram por mudanças em suas equipes ou políticas editoriais. Ao mesmo tempo, novos recursos foram inseridos no sistema ScholarOne. O curso tem o propósito de atualizar e nivelar o conhecimento entre as equipes editoriais dos periódicos. O Programa SciELO / FAPESP realiza um grande investimento para disponibilizar este serviço e a expectativa é alcançar o melhor uso possível do serviço.
A programação será elaborada com base nas linhas de ação SciELO de Profissionalização, Internacionalização e Sustentabilidade, e abordará conteúdos avançados sobre o uso do sistema ScholarOne, boas práticas, erros comuns, resolução de problemas, dicas de uso, dentre outros.
O conteúdo do curso estará alinhado com os critérios de admissão e permanência na Coleção SciELO Brasil (Outubro/2017) e de que forma o ScholarOne pode ser configurado para ajudar a atendê-los. Os Critérios SciELO Brasil exigem que todos os periódicos indexados devem processar a avaliação dos manuscritos online com um sistema ou serviço próprio ou contratado que atenda os requisitos do SciELO na produção de estatísticas sobre o fluxo de processamento de artigos, como são o número de manuscritos recebidos, porcentagem de rejeitados imediatamente, porcentagem de aprovados após avaliação por editores associados e pareceristas, afiliação nacional e estrangeira dos autores, editores e pareceristas envolvidos. Além do ScholarOne, o SciELO disponibiliza para os periódicos indexados o sistema de submissão OJS (Sistema SciELO de Publicação).
Por fim e não menos importante, o curso promoverá a troca de experiências entre as equipes editoriais dos periódicos participantes que abrangem diferentes áreas do conhecimento.

A principal justificativa da existência e importância do Programa SciELO advém do reconhecimento da relevância dos periódicos editados nacionalmente nos respectivos sistemas nacionais de pesquisa. Este reconhecimento é evidenciado historicamente pelo fato que na maioria dos países da Rede SciELO, uma parte importante da produção científica é melhor comunicada em periódicos editados no país por sociedades científicas, associações profissionais, universidades e outras instituições de ensino e pesquisa.
Os periódicos de qualidade editados nacionalmente cumprem funções essenciais nos sistemas nacionais de produção científica. Por um lado, está a função de avaliação e comunicação de pesquisas com centralidade nacional ou regional no que se refere aos objetos de estudo, idiomas de publicação e prioridades que informam diferentes públicos, majoritariamente os da academia nas atividades de pesquisa e ensino, mas também empresas e profissionais e formuladores de políticas públicas. Por outro, publicar periódicos de qualidade crescente fortalece as infraestruturas e capacidades nacionais de comunicação científica, que é uma função chave no fluxo de produção científica. A partir destas funções, a publicação de periódicos de qualidade contribui para que o conjunto das disciplinas, áreas temáticas e comunidades de pesquisas participem ativamente do fluxo global de informação científica.
Em boa parte, estes periódicos se sustentam operacionalmente com alguma contribuição de recursos públicos seja pela natureza das organizações responsáveis como as universidades por exemplo ou por programas governamentais de financiamento de periódicos. Entretanto, a maioria depende da dedicação de pesquisadores que compõem o corpo editorial e muitas vezes de comunidades de pesquisas. Em nenhum caso os periódicos indexados pelo SciELO têm finalidade de lucro, não obstante uma parcela deles serem publicados por empresas ou fundações privadas. Ao mesmo tempo, as coleções nacionais da Rede SciELO, lideradas e financiadas em sua maioria por organizações nacionais de apoio ao desenvolvimento científico, são expressões de políticas públicas de apoio à infraestrutura de pesquisa e sua comunicação. De fato, as coleções SciELO consolidadas reúnem o núcleo dos melhores periódicos publicados nacionalmente com o objetivo de coletivamente aperfeiçoar a sua qualidade editorial seguindo o estado da arte e fortalecer e ampliar a sua visibilidade nacional e internacional medida pelo uso, influência e impacto.
Entretanto, um indicador chave da relevância atual e futura dos periódicos nos sistemas nacionais de pesquisa é o reconhecimento e valorização que recebem nos sistemas de avaliação de pesquisa.

La red consiste en colecciones nacionales de revistas publicadas por sociedades científicas, asociaciones profesionales, universidades y otras instituciones de enseñanza seleccionadas según criterios de indexación basados en estándares internacionales y buenas prácticas de edición científica. En 2018, la red opera en 15 países iberoamericanos y en Sudáfrica. En la mayoría de estos países las colecciones SciELO reflejan la implantación de políticas nacionales de apoyo al avance de la investigación y su comunicación con énfasis en las revistas publicadas nacionalmente y son financiadas y lideradas por organizaciones gubernamentales de apoyo a la investigación.
La cooperación internacional está fundamentada en el entendimiento común que las revistas de calidad editadas nacionalmente cumplen funciones esenciales en los sistemas nacionales de producción científica, como ser la comunicación de investigaciones centradas en lo nacional o regional en lo que se refiere a los objetos de estudio, prioridades y públicos objetivos, al desarrollo de disciplinas y comunidades de investigación particularmente en lo que se refiere a la enseñanza y a las infraestructuras y capacidades de comunicación científica, y, a partir de las funciones anteriores, participar activamente en el flujo global de información científica. Las revistas SciELO son de diferentes disciplinas y, además del inglés, publican en los idiomas nacionales de los países de la red SciELO. SciELO destaca también que la capacidad de publicar revistas de calidad es parte esencial de la capacidad de hacer investigación de calidad.
La Red SciELO es descentralizada en su gobernanza, financiamiento y operación. Es estructurada por un conjunto de principios, objetivos y funciones comunes que conforman el Programa SciELO. Los principios se refieren, en primer lugar, a la concepción del conocimiento científico como bien público que es mejor realizado por la comunicación en acceso abierto, en segundo lugar, al trabajo en red para maximizar las contribuciones y las ganancias, y, tercero, a la adopción del estado del arte con adhesión a los estándares, control de calidad e innovaciones en todas las etapas de la comunicación de las investigaciones. In addition to the specific objectives that apply to the entire network, national collections are governed by priorities determined by national policies and conditions.
The performance of journals and SciELO collections are evaluated by the following criteria:
• Institutionality, which refers to institutions responsible for the journals and their respective research communities as indicators of credibility and operational sustainability of journals;
• Good practices of editing and scholarly communication, which refers to the adherence to the SciELO indexing criteria that implies in adherence to the good practices of scholarly communication and adoption of innovations;
• Visibility, Use and Impact, which refer to the following contexts:
◦ Access and downloads indicators to articles’ full text files in HTML and PDF formats;
◦ Citations indicators or metrics considering different journal indexes;

O livro acadêmico é um dos tipos clássicos de literatura científica. Embora presente em todas as áreas do conhecimento, a sua relevância na comunicação da pesquisa é destacada com mais ênfase nas áreas de humanas, literatura, letras e artes. Nos demais campos predomina quase que exclusivamente a comunicação via artigos em periódicos ou em proceedings de conferências e congressos. Este fato é evidenciado pela composição temática das coleções de livros indexados e publicados pelo programa SciELO Livros, pelos índices bibliográficos internacionais e pela distribuição das citações dos artigos dos periódicos SciELO.
Além das editoras comerciais, a grande maioria das universidades e institutos de pesquisa e desenvolvimento e uma minoria de sociedades científicas e associações profissionais dos países da Rede SciELO operam editoras que além dos livros de texto e de divulgação científica publicam obras que comunicam resultados de pesquisas. Ao mesmo tempo, os sistemas nacionais de avaliação da produção científica contam com metodologias ou sistemas de avaliação de livros complementando os de periódicos. Em menor escala que os periódicos, a publicação de livros acadêmicos é também parte integral das infraestruturas de pesquisa.
A publicação online de livros acadêmicos e sua indexação além de ampliar radicalmente a sua visibilidade em relação à versão em papel o que contribui para aumentar o uso e impacto por citações. Uma das consequências positivas da publicação online e indexação é permitir a inserção e a interoperabilidade dos livros acadêmicos no fluxo de comunicação científica. Em particular, o Programa SciELO tem como uma das suas funções maximizar a interoperabilidade entre as pesquisas o que requer além dos periódicos a disponibilidade online dos livros seguindo padrões internacionais.

Although Artemia has been known to man for centuries, its use as a food for the culture of larval organisms apparently began only in the 1930s, when several investigators found that it made an excellent food for newly hatched fish larvae (Litvinenko et al., 2023). As aquaculture developed in the 1960s and ‘70s, the use of Artemia also became more widespread, due both to its convenience and to its nutritional value for larval organisms (Arenas-Pardo et al., 2024). The fact that Artemia dormant cysts can be stored for long periods in cans, and then used as an off-the-shelf food requiring only 24 h of incubation makes them the most convenient, least labor-intensive, live food available for aquaculture (Sorgeloos & Roubach, 2021). The nutritional value of Artemia, especially for marine organisms, is not constant, but varies both geographically and temporally. During the last decade, however, both the causes of Artemia nutritional variability and methods to improve poorquality Artemia have been identified (Loufi et al., 2024).
Brine shrimp (Artemia spp.) are used in marine aquaculture worldwide. Annually, more than 2,000 metric tons of dry cysts are used for cultivation of fish, crustacean, and shellfish larva. Brine shrimp are important to aquaculture because newly hatched brine shrimp nauplii (larvae) provide a food source for many fish fry (Mozanzadeh et al., 2021). Culture and harvesting of brine shrimp eggs represents another aspect of the aquaculture industry. Nauplii and metanauplii of Artemia, commonly known as brine shrimp, play a crucial role in aquaculture due to their nutritional value and suitability as live feed for many aquatic species, particularly in larval stages (Sorgeloos & Roubach, 2021).

As the population is increasing and will reach about 9 billion upto 2050. Also due to climate change, it is difficult to meet the food requirement of such a large population. Facing the challenges presented by resource shortages, climate
change, and increasing global population, crop yield and quality need to be improved in a sustainable way over the coming decades. Genetic improvement by breeding is the best way to increase crop productivity. With the rapid progression of functional
genomics, an increasing number of crop genomes have been sequenced and dozens of genes influencing key agronomic traits have been identified. However, current genome sequence information has not been adequately exploited for understanding
the complex characteristics of multiple gene, owing to a lack of crop phenotypic data. Efficient, automatic, and accurate technologies and platforms that can capture phenotypic data that can
be linked to genomics information for crop improvement at all growth stages have become as important as genotyping. Thus,
high-throughput phenotyping has become the major bottleneck restricting crop breeding. Plant phenomics has been defined as the high-throughput, accurate acquisition and analysis of multi-dimensional phenotypes

The Milky Way’s (MW) inner stellar halo contains an [Fe/H]-rich component with highly eccentric orbits, often referred to as the
‘last major merger.’ Hypotheses for the origin of this component include Gaia-Sausage/Enceladus (GSE), where the progenitor
collided with the MW proto-disc 8–11 Gyr ago, and the Virgo Radial Merger (VRM), where the progenitor collided with the
MW disc within the last 3 Gyr. These two scenarios make different predictions about observable structure in local phase space,
because the morphology of debris depends on how long it has had to phase mix. The recently identified phase-space folds in Gaia
DR3 have positive caustic velocities, making them fundamentally different than the phase-mixed chevrons found in simulations
at late times. Roughly 20 per cent of the stars in the prograde local stellar halo are associated with the observed caustics. Based
on a simple phase-mixing model, the observed number of caustics are consistent with a merger that occurred 1–2 Gyr ago.
We also compare the observed phase-space distribution to FIRE-2 Latte simulations of GSE-like mergers, using a quantitative
measurement of phase mixing (2D causticality). The observed local phase-space distribution best matches the simulated data
1–2 Gyr after collision, and certainly not later than 3 Gyr. This is further evidence that the progenitor of the ‘last major merger’
did not collide with the MW proto-disc at early times, as is thought for the GSE, but instead collided with the MW disc within
the last few Gyr, consistent with the body of work surrounding the VRM.

When I was asked to give a companion lecture in support of ‘The Philosophy of Science’ (https://shorturl.at/4pUXz) I decided not to walk through the detail of the many methodologies in order of use. Instead, I chose to employ a long standing, and ongoing, scientific development as an exemplar. And so, I chose the ever evolving story of Thermodynamics as a scientific investigation at its best.
Conducted over a period of >200 years, Thermodynamics R&D, and application, benefitted from the highest levels of professionalism, collaboration, and technical thoroughness. New layers of application, methodology, and practice were made possible by the progressive advance of technology. In turn, this has seen measurement and modelling accuracy continually improved at a micro and macro level.
Perhaps most importantly, Thermodynamics rapidly became a primary tool in the advance of applied science/engineering/technology, spanning micro-tech, to aerospace and cosmology. I can think of no better a story to illustrate the breadth of scientific methodologies and applications at their best.

EWOCS-I: The catalog of X-ray sources in Westerlund 1 from the Extended Weste...
Context. With a mass exceeding several 104 M⊙ and a rich and dense population of massive stars, supermassive young star clusters
represent the most massive star-forming environment that is dominated by the feedback from massive stars and gravitational interactions
among stars.
Aims. In this paper we present the Extended Westerlund 1 and 2 Open Clusters Survey (EWOCS) project, which aims to investigate
the influence of the starburst environment on the formation of stars and planets, and on the evolution of both low and high mass stars.
The primary targets of this project are Westerlund 1 and 2, the closest supermassive star clusters to the Sun.
Methods. The project is based primarily on recent observations conducted with the Chandra and JWST observatories. Specifically,
the Chandra survey of Westerlund 1 consists of 36 new ACIS-I observations, nearly co-pointed, for a total exposure time of 1 Msec.
Additionally, we included 8 archival Chandra/ACIS-S observations. This paper presents the resulting catalog of X-ray sources within
and around Westerlund 1. Sources were detected by combining various existing methods, and photon extraction and source validation
were carried out using the ACIS-Extract software.
Results. The EWOCS X-ray catalog comprises 5963 validated sources out of the 9420 initially provided to ACIS-Extract, reaching a
photon flux threshold of approximately 2 × 10−8 photons cm−2
s
−1
. The X-ray sources exhibit a highly concentrated spatial distribution,
with 1075 sources located within the central 1 arcmin. We have successfully detected X-ray emissions from 126 out of the 166 known
massive stars of the cluster, and we have collected over 71 000 photons from the magnetar CXO J164710.20-455217.

Immersive Learning That Works: Research Grounding and Paths Forward
We will metaverse into the essence of immersive learning, into its three dimensions and conceptual models. This approach encompasses elements from teaching methodologies to social involvement, through organizational concerns and technologies. Challenging the perception of learning as knowledge transfer, we introduce a 'Uses, Practices & Strategies' model operationalized by the 'Immersive Learning Brain' and ‘Immersion Cube’ frameworks. This approach offers a comprehensive guide through the intricacies of immersive educational experiences and spotlighting research frontiers, along the immersion dimensions of system, narrative, and agency. Our discourse extends to stakeholders beyond the academic sphere, addressing the interests of technologists, instructional designers, and policymakers. We span various contexts, from formal education to organizational transformation to the new horizon of an AI-pervasive society. This keynote aims to unite the iLRN community in a collaborative journey towards a future where immersive learning research and practice coalesce, paving the way for innovative educational research and practice landscapes.
