Disrupting the Disruptors #3: Enabling a design cultureHolly Rennie
Following on from the well-received Disruptor series, we wrap up with a discussion about the workplace itself and how it is as much a part of disruption as the people within it.
Businesses must create spaces and processes which enable their teams to think differently. Our friends at LendLease have created one of the most innovative workplaces of today, but it’s not just their incredible technology and unique views that make their businesses disruptive. It’s the little things that make the big differences.

Ideation and the business canvas session 3Anilesh Seth
This is the third session in my course titled Entrepreneurship Management. In the first two sessions, I introduced the students to the idea of entrepreneurship as being that of identifying opportunities and creating value - not just in start ups. I talked of Entrepreneurial Leadership and presented some facets of the support ecosystem that exists in India. Here in session three I take the discussion one step forward by talking about ideation per se and converting it into an actionable plan using a tool called the Business Canvas.
In an ever changing economic environment, it is essential that analysts demonstrate added value by developing creative and imaginative solutions to our everyday business challenges. Creativity, as the root of innovation needs to be nurtured and encouraged in any business, yet it is all too often neglected. It is true that some analysts are naturally more creative than others, however there are tools and techniques that can be learned and practiced by all analysts that will drive out better business solutions when applied. This thought provoking and interactive session will explore a range of creative techniques and methods of ensuring that the most suitable innovation is achieved as a result, arming delegates with tools, approaches and a re-invigorated creative outlook to take back to the workplace.
For our Leadership and Change class, we choose a book called "Creative Confidence" by David and Tom Kelley. Creativity can not be standardized by testing techniques. Can you put a lid on the amount of creative juices flowing throw Picasso's brush strokes? No, don't be a fool. We need to understand how important it is to kindle, protect and spread the light of creativity instead of killing the cat. Social hermits and outcasts are creative geniuses misunderstood. Einstein never scored more than 60 on a physics test at school but he gave you the mother load of scientific breakthrough with String and Relativity Theory. Undermining one's unique ability to think and act is common social practice. We stop and kill what we don't understand. LogoOnlinePros harbors, nurtures and promotes creative ideas and work.

http://www.ErinBlaskie.com - As presented at WordCamp Ottawa (#wcott) on July 22, 2017. Creating Passive Revenue in Your BusinessFellow.app
Most of us have heard about it. Most of us want to make money while we sleep. Most of us have the platform to do it. However... If all of this is true, why are so few people harnessing the power of passive revenue?
In this discussion with Erin Blaskie, Internet Marketing Strategist, we’ll look at how you can create passive revenue regardless of what type of business you are in. Erin will walk you through some of the most effective forms of passive revenue and the business models that sustain each option.
Erin will take you through a step-by-step guide to creating and selling your information products via the web so that you really can earn an income without trading your hours for income. Most importantly, Erin will help you come up with ideas for your products and how to use a few tools in the creation process that we’ve all had from birth (and a few others we’ve learned about along the way).
With a zero-sales-pitch, leave-it-all-on-the-stage approach, you can be sure to take a lot away from this discussion and be able to participate in an open conversation with Erin and your fellow attendees.

Putting the SPARK into Virtual Training.pptxCynthia Clay
This 60-minute webinar, sponsored by Adobe, was delivered for the Training Mag Network. It explored the five elements of SPARK: Storytelling, Purpose, Action, Relationships, and Kudos. Knowing how to tell a well-structured story is key to building long-term memory. Stating a clear purpose that doesn't take away from the discovery learning process is critical. Ensuring that people move from theory to practical application is imperative. Creating strong social learning is the key to commitment and engagement. Validating and affirming participants' comments is the way to create a positive learning environment.

Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).
