Experimental Startups in Miami thanks to the Knight Foundation Adam Berk
Our goal is to create a community of experimentation in Miami. We got together at The LAB Miami to pitch problems and customers not solutions. We will spend the next year asking each other "What problem are you solving" rather than "how many downloads do you have" or "how much have you raised"?
I had the honor of working with some very fine young women. I promised very little lecturing and slide decks - but this deck kept us on track in between exercises, discussions, and most importantly, experiments!
Sometime back I was invited by bunch of my colleagues to speak on a topic of my choice.
I gave some thought and decided to share my views and experiences on how we could better manage the Project resources we often work with as this is often a challenge for Project Managers.
Based on 1936-37 classic by Dale Carnegie’s “How To Win Friends and Influence People” AND Personal Experiences!
Images used are downloaded from Google and may be subjected to copyright
What we would discuss are typical scenarios. Techniques may vary in case of exceptional situations.
All we are going to see is very simple stiff. Nothing New.
Because, “People need to be reminded more often than they need to be instructed.” .. Samuel Johnson
Hope you Enjoy!
NAFSA Career Speaker Series 2016: Fear, Failure, & Creativity: Daring Greatly...Natalie M. Garrett
What does 'daring greatly' look like in international education?
This presentation builds on last year's "Failure is Not the Other 'F' Word" and dives deeper into how to dare greatly in your work everyday. We will discuss moving past the negative experience of failure to maximize learning and move to a place of creativity and opportunity.

Comunication & Storytelling for Product Managers (and anyone else)Christina Wodtke
Half-Day Interactive Workshop
“Get ready to actively participate in your transformation from product manager to product leader”
A product manager rarely has any authority beyond what they can talk people into, thus we need to become really strong communicators. In this half-day interactive workshop, we’ll look at the three kinds of communication: managing up, team communications, and the very important roadshow for getting other groups onboard with your vision. We will use the power of story for formal communication and a combination of techniques from NVC (Harvard’s negotiation project) and the GSB’s “touchy feely” class to make sure your message gets through, and that we are listening effectively.
This special half-day training workshop, with product author and lecturer, Christina Wodtke, is specifically designed for product managers who are looking to really level up their communications skills and who want to use story-telling to effectively communicate with others.

It's time for designers, along with their partners - engineers and business - to embrace a new long term approach to bringing change into the world, that focuses less on disruption and more on evolution. In this talk, Christina will explore various approaches to designing more robust and compassionate change.

In an ever changing economic environment, it is essential that analysts demonstrate added value by developing creative and imaginative solutions to our everyday business challenges. Creativity, as the root of innovation needs to be nurtured and encouraged in any business, yet it is all too often neglected. It is true that some analysts are naturally more creative than others, however there are tools and techniques that can be learned and practiced by all analysts that will drive out better business solutions when applied. This thought provoking and interactive session will explore a range of creative techniques and methods of ensuring that the most suitable innovation is achieved as a result, arming delegates with tools, approaches and a re-invigorated creative outlook to take back to the workplace.
This deck is a year old. I was inspired to publish it after attending #LEANIMPACT during the #LEANSTARTUP conference (thanks to @lepitts and @aubrybella). Publishing just to show the evolution of thought (and font:), and to hold myself accountable to publish this year's deck.

Getting the most out of yourself and your teamJohn Rouda
This talk is not so much about software, but about getting the most out of yourself. Developing software is a creative endeavor. Like all create endeavors we run into times when we get "stuck" or feel like we're in a rut and not doing all that we can do. During these times, most developers tend to either settle into patterns of complacency or they end up changing jobs (sometimes for the better). This talk is to give you some practical things you can do to get motivated, or to motivate your team, and get on a path to constant improvement. The talk will include tips on goal setting, self motivation, team motivation, and tips/tricks to get the ball rolling. As a bonus we'll discuss some tips on breaking and making new habits to improve productivity and quality.
Co-creation brings groups together to jointly produce a mutually valued outcome.
Today’s business world: we meet to talk about what we’re going to do, we go off in our vacuum, we create something, we come back to review, we get feedback, we debate, we revise, and ultimately create something that doesn’t hit the mark from all sides. This is wildly inefficient and produces subpar products.
Pinaki Kathiari, co-founder of Local Wisdom and Stephen Garguillo, Senior Manager of Creative Engagement at Johnson & Johnson, have changed this model in their teams. Co-creation can be used with clients and agencies, companies and customers, between internal departments, basically any number multi disciplined teams looking to produce something.
In their talk 7 Do’s and Don’ts for Co-Creation, Stephen and Pinaki talk about the important aspects of how to bring people together to create fantastic outcomes. From knowing why and when you should co-create, to facilitation, and keeping a bias towards action, you’ll learn what it takes to produce awesome work together than hits the mark from all angles.

In the Adani-Hindenburg case, what is SEBI investigating.pptxAdani case
Adani SEBI investigation revealed that the latter had sought information from five foreign jurisdictions concerning the holdings of the firm’s foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) in relation to the alleged violations of the MPS Regulations. Nevertheless, the economic interest of the twelve FPIs based in tax haven jurisdictions still needs to be determined. The Adani Group firms classed these FPIs as public shareholders. According to Hindenburg, FPIs were used to get around regulatory standards.

involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
